We did all the our HW online. His lectures were done in classes. He is a very fun guy. He will help you even on off days. I had to work really hard for this summer class.
He was awesome. I had to work hard but his grading system is very fair and easy.
Awsome proffessor!!! I took him over the summer and he was just awsome. Attendance is a must! Dont be late! If you have a question, he will help you one on one. Very approachable. This course is not an easy A but if you follow his advice you will be fine. His tests including finals are approximately 15-20 questions each. Take him!
Highly recomend Pr.K! By far the best math teacher I have ever had. He made class enjoyable and interactive. Jokes around a bit which makes class less stressful. He comes across as tough at first, hes not. Just dont be absent or late, hes not a fan of that. I deffinately recommend him. You can deff ask him for help. he is just awsome!
Funny Professor. All work done on math lab. Unlimited tries on homework and there are examples. Take many notes, Q's on homework are exact on quizzes online. After 4 absences you lose 10% each absence. Study for the 1st in class test, no cheat sheet. The rest you can have one. Need a basic scientific calculator. Ask for help if you need it!

His Hybrid Math 95 was awesome. It was fast pace class. Very short classes. Easy teacher but dont act too cocky in his class and dont be late.
Not understanding of real life situations. Grades and submissions post-date are subjective to how much he likes you. I don't find him as funny as some of his other students may have, I find him childish and much of his "joking" takes up time for the students not clear of the material.
Goes through the lecture fast leaving many students confused and lost. He has a horrible teaching style that makes you try and do the problem 1st before even teaching the material of that day which just wastes time. Asking him a question or asking him to walk you through a problem is just a waste of time since he'll make you feel stupid for asking
Never rely on this site to know his class. If you are willing to learn and get a degree then take his class. FYI: done be late to his class.
He really prepares you for Math 127 and then to Calculus. Lets just say that if you take his Math 126 then you wont struggle in 127 or 181. I tried taking easy professor and end up not learning anything and flunked to badly in 181 UNLV, I decided to go back and relearn Precalc.
So the syllabus is pretty clear. the most important things are the in class tests. I took the hybrid version so class was only 50 minutes long. 4 tests but only three are graded, so if you bomb one its no worries. He is pretty funny also. The class was easy as long as you studied. Only allowed 4 absences.

Great teacher, gives multiple opportunities for success. I would take his class again in a heartbeat. Probably wouldn't have gotten through the class without him!

funny prof and knows his stuff.. but its hard material. a lot of assignemnts are online. offers good amount of extra credit. many quizzes and a few tests. if you know the material its easy, unfortunately only a few do. i imagine many bad reviews here, because many struggled in that class. i recommend making friends and opening a study group.

Fall term of 2014: Professor K was nice, sincere, and helpful towards anyone that needed it. Personally, I found his class boring. I quickly realized that the content mirrored that of Algebra 2 Honors in high school. Also, he goes through problems step-by-step (almost like a toddler), which is helpful to those who are rusty or bad at math.
took fall 2014: very strict on attendance & tardiness. Lectures sometimes moved to fast. All assignments and quizzes were taken online, believe I had 34 tests including the final. Funny professor, sometimes went off topic. Best make sure you do your homework before class or bring something to do your homework in class because if not your absent.

He drops one of the exam for this class. He is funny. He has a very weird sense of humor. He is really good and you will learn a lot, especially market investment. Take his class and you wont regret. Make sure you respect him and he will respect you. Show up for his class too.

He gives a massive extra credit group project which is hella fun. He drops the lowest quiz and HW. He also give extra credit through out the sessions. Make sure he attend all his classes. He claims that he is a dictator but in reality he is anything but that. He is funny in a weird way.
Very good class. I learned a lot. He went over the market investment and I understand my retirement account more now. The best class I have taken so far.
My opinion is this Professor is awesome for college students. If you are not ready to self motivate and work hard to understand the material ON YOUR OWN TIME, do not bother with him. If you want to be prepared for your upper division classes and learn how to work with your fellow classmates; this is your class. Making friends is almost a necessity.
I had an awful experience with him. He does not stay on topic and tests are difficult. Do your homework and you will pass, but if you actually need to move on to the next class I do not recommend him. Worst professor I have had.
This guy is hilarious. However, he is a bad instructor. I suck at math (that's why I'm in 95) He writes down problems on the board from the hw,makes us partner up in order to solve it (bad move bc sometimes we were clueless) he then solves it himself with little to no explanation. Also, this was more of a hybrid class if anything the hw is online!
Professor K is really funny and the class is really simple. You don't need a textbook, all of the homework is done online. He's really funny and energetic, so class is really fun and interesting. Attendance is mandatory, and if you're absent too many times it goes against your grade. Go to class, ask questions, do the homework, you will get an A.

Passed the class by doing homework and teaching myself by online help. Teacher is very scatter brained. One minute we'll be talking about how tangent wont be on the exam to what you should do when a bear attacks to or his love for North Korea. He cancels class for stupid reasons like his chicken was burnt and forgets to reassign the homework.
This class really prepared me for Math 127 and I plan to take Calculus with him too.
Ive taken prof. K for 3 semesters; Math 120 & Math 126 (hybrid) and this summer i took the 6 week math 127 course. His classes are not easy, but his grading scale is fantastic! 85%-100% is an A! Expect alot of online homework and quizzes. Sometimes allows cheat sheets on exams. Overall he's an awesome professor and is very easy to get along with.
Professor Aminul is awesome! He definitely has a passion for math and his enthusiasm makes his lectures enjoyable and not a drag! His grading system is the best ever, and he loves to give you extra credit, especially if you're punctual and show up to all his classes. Wish he taught other classes too!! I would definitely take him again!!
He usually gets off topic and doesn't explain things well. But after class a few times he would stay with students who don't understand and would help them out. Easy to talk to but horrible at describing what is needed in homework. Grading is simple and he curves your grade or will also drop the worst test score. Wouldn't take him again though.
Took him in the summer. Great hilarious professor with an AMAZING curve. Yes, there are tons of homework but the curve makes it easy to get an A. You have to put time and work into it. Lucky enough, the lab math is available to use. I went to the lab everyday to get everything done so I don't have to struggle with it on my own at home.
took him for math127 and then math181. his grading is the best. 85% is an A. there are 3 tests each worth 15%. the final is 20%. this is done in class and he curves all of them. he makes you get mymath lab. 20% is hw and 15% are quizzes, these are done online. he makes you work with partners. and drops one of your lowest hw and quiz score.
KM has a great sense of humor but always goes off topic for 10-20min just to tell you what he dreamed about. He teaches extremely fast! Goes off powerpoints. Doesn't answer any questions clearly in person/email. The homework and in class problems are totally different. I won't be taking him again. Too confusing, needing to teach myself or use tutor
Attend class, do the online quizzess, and ask when concepts are unclear or refer to textbook and you will pass. Not a hard class but time consuming. Professor K does not explain well but he is willing to help if you ask him.

Pretty easy class. As long as you attend class and do all of your homework , you will get a good grade. However one criticism I have is that he is not very clear in his lectures. He rushes through his explanations and kind of makes you feel dumb for not understanding it. He is also imprecise when giving specific information to us such as due dates.

Mr. Km goes over the lectures quick but if you ask for help he will stop to help you. Throughout the lectures he'll stop and ask if everyone is caught up. Homework and quizzes are on MyMathLab with plenty time to do them. There are three midterms and one final and they do not go over 20 questions. If you put in effort it's a definite pass.

I took Math 127 last semester and failed it. So I re-took it with this professor, and I am going to received a B or A at the end of this semester. Just show up to class and take notes, do homework every week and quizzes online. There are 4 exams and BIG extra credit assignment. MUST TAKE! Best professor. Really FUNNY too. :)
Best math professor I have EVER had. If you don't understand something, be sure to ask and he'll help you through it. Attendance is MANDATORY! Some people said he gets distracted, which is kinda true, but I think he's just trying to break up the lecture so we don't get bored. Seriously though, if I could take him for all my math classes, I would.

I want to take his Math181. I thought he was hard, but he made the class a whole new learning experience. I never got bored in his class. I only hoped that he gave more example problems during the lectures. If you have questions, ask him.

He was pretty ridiculous with his rules. I felt like I was in 3rd grade the whole time. The tests were easy, but I used the book the whole semester because he was very unclear. Also, the power points were no help. No phone use, you use partners, and you can not be late! If you are late you are automatically marked absent.

There are no exams. Just take home quizzes. each quiz has 5 questions. I am afraid of math but not his math class.
His class wasn't that hard considering that he didn't give out a midterm or final. The only assignments you have to do for his class are online quizzes which ask about 5 questions each and theres about 20+ of them. The notes may not help but the question aren't that hard if you took the notes and asked questions.

All the tests were okay except for the final exam. If you are doing good in his class he will not give you extra credit, even if you do the extra credit. He curves, but does not give partial credit. He gives a few examples per section, but you get out of class early. You can finish all your homework the few weeks of calss.

he's very good, you'll work with partner assigned randomly @ every class, very funny and has a lot of positive energy, speed a little bit somtime but ask him he will come back and explain, many homework(online) if alldone sure enough you'll have all As, his class is very very fun, and tests are waaay easier than homework(if you do them).

He does take his class seriously and expects you to do the work, however it's not too bad and I've learn a lot of very useful information for my personal use, such as credit, mortgages, stocks and gambling. If you have an inner child (Pokemon, game of thrones, game card collector), he is definitely for you! If you love food, like to travel, or you're a hipster you will bond. He explains key points in notes. He is goofy. His grading criteria is good. He encourages questions and makes students know at least 12 people in his class. It was an Easy A!
Took this class summer 2016 and it was so much information for such a short period of time. Take this class on regular semester. It includes online homework and quizzes. Professor K made this class fun and knowledgeable. Although he takes so much time diverting to different topics which are not related to Math, just remind him again.

If any student is taking Calculus 2, they're most likely going to advance to a higher math or need it for their major. This is why Aminul Km is a very bad professor. If you take Aminul, you'll probably have to retake Calculus 2 elsewhere. Not because you failed, but because you didn't learn anything from his class. P.S. He also uses MyMathLab.
It is not an easy subject. You will truly learn and thus can use it for your sequential classes. He is available to answer any questions.

Professor K gives a solid tour of the specified topics in a clear, concise manner. Homework is sometimes challenging and not covered in class, but you have unlimited attempts. Tests are taken directly from lecture. If you attend lecture and do the homework, you'll pass.
He is very knowledgeable in the field of Mathematics. Dont distract him. He is funny and cool and he makes this crazy Calculus class fun. He brings up random topics, dont entertain him. Ask him about past dating experience and you cant stop laughing. So why take this class? I would say why not take this class.
He really inspired me. I foreclosed on a property and i didnt know what really happened to me. This class really helped me. Ask him any questions that you care about and he will take time to answer it. We talked about retirement plan and what are the things not to do.

He is different than a typical professor. He will stop during the middle of a lecture and go off on a short, funny tangent, which is a nice break. He presents the material well and his notes cover a wide variety of examples. All of the homework is online and he will not remind about the due dates for them; the same goes for the online quizzes.
He teaches from surface but test deeply. You need to study out of class because you can not learn concepts from his lecture easily. He writes so fast and so short and puts a lot question marks in your head. Never recommend.
if you plan on taking him be prepared to spend hours outside of class self teaching yourself the material because you don't really learn much during the lecture itself. KM wouldn't be that bad of an instructor if he just organized his lectures and didn't side track so often.

Pretty okay class it was frustrating at times because the notes/lecture were confusing and when it came time to take the the quiz it wasn't anything like the notes at all. This guy is hilarious and his stories are crazy that I don't think they're real, one time his suspenders broke in class and he ended up canceling class, I couldn't believe it!

Never recommend. He teaches so sample without proper explanation! You should learn out of class %100. Honestly, he is friendly and try to give you score but not good teacher. If you want to learn Math like a foundation for your future courses, never recommend him. Try another one rather than him.

He was the worst math professor I have ever taken. I used to love math and aced all classes until I took him. He will go over examples in class and the hw and the exams will be completely different, leaving you lost and confused. I basically had to teach myself how to do hw problems, which didn't help at all during exams
He really prepares you for your major. He knows what he is doing. It is easy to distract him.
He is almost frustratingly hard to learn from, and makes a nasty habit of saying that he won't put hard problems on the homework, and then puts problems, sometimes harder, on the homework. Supplemental reading is recommended. He is very forgiving with grades, nigh to a fault, and has some extra credit assignment each semester (I had him for three).

He can come off as intimidating but he's funny. Theres quizzes online due after every lecture. Make sure to have the calculator he requires! The pop quizzes can be about anything, for ex. just having your calculator, being there on time, showing up to class so just go to class. He makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on.

Tons of homework and he was always changing the due dates and exam dates at the last minute. Lectures were near pointless when it came to learning and exams were really difficult with a strict time limit. the final was wrth 40%
If you're good with teaching yourself math, this is the class for you. Maybe it was me, but he doesn't break things down for you if you don't get them. He does post good Youtube videos for each lesson that helped a ton. Also, you'll work with classmates which also helped some. I strongly suggest getting the book even though it's not required.

While I initially had a bad impression, Professor KM turned out to be the best math instructor I have had within my 15 years of schooling, and I am usually terrible at math. He is a very personable guy, funny, and entertaining to talk with. His lectures are easy to follow, as well as the book. You will have to work hard, but he makes it really fun.
He is a good teacher. What I liked about this course was the quizzes you can take online. It gave me time to focus on my life as well specially when you have children. Only thing I didnt like was one of the students disrespect in class. She came off very cocky and disrespectful to the whole class.

6 week session. Went over examples from mathlab power point presentation, and skips steps while doing the problems. 3 test and final, the 3rd exam one day and the next day a the final (online). no calculators for 1st and 2nd exam.
Overall the class was alright. The professor can go quick and skip things/not go in depth without making sure people understand. Talking to the other classmates helped me a lot and everyone is willing to help one another. If you are not the type to self-learn and study things on your own, this class isn't for you.

Dont take this class online. Some teachers are good teaching online math class others are not. He is one that is not good teaching online. Not even my tutors could understand the lecture notes. The lecture notes are copied from the textbook and then to powerpoints (the lecture notes) .
Severe lack of communication. He doesn't teach. I have never struggled in any math classes until now. Not even studying problems from the textbook helped me on the second exam. Not enough time to finish quizzes and exams. I would avoid taking him online. Maybe he is better in person. It seems that way from the rest of the reviews.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! Instead of responding to emails, he told me I have a learning disability because he doesn't give enough time for the exams. Very rude, takes forever to respond, and doesn't use canvas. You'll probably fail unless you are a human calculator.
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR !! Severely restricted on time for the exams! I am decent at math and even placed in 126 but there is not enough time to complete exams! I emailed him about it and his reply was that I must have a learning disability if I was not able to finish the exam. Only 2.5 minutes per problem, sometimes with 2 equations. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

By far the most unprofessional person I've ever met. Half the class, he's hitting on female students, the other half he's talking about religion and politics. He barely explains things, then follows up with "wow wasn't that easy?" Not to mention if you're late by 5 min, he counts you absent. After 4 absences you have 10% taken off total grade.
Not a good teacher. He gets distracted very easily. The questions on the test are about twice as hard as the examples he gives us. He also skips a lot of steps. Each exam is worth 10% (4 exams) and the final is worth 50%.

Professor K is extremely knowledgeable on the subject of mathematics. His teaching style can be difficult to absorb because he runs through the material so quickly. Many classes he finished early (sometimes way early). He does answer questions if you need help, but I think he sometimes has trouble "dumbing it down" for his students.
As someone who doesnt understand math: I passed his class with flying colors. He made everything very easy and hes hilarious as you get to know him better. The first day he seemed harsh, but loosened up a lot as the semester went on. I had so much fun in his class and actually understood math for once.
Professor K is funny at times but sometimes he would talk about personal matters and it would make me kinda uncomfortable. He also makes you do a lot of quizzes online but what annoyed me is that he changes the quiz dates without acknowledging the class about it which is super annoying.
No exams, grades were based on 5 question quizzes and he'll drop your lowest grade at the end of the semester. If there's any complaints I have, is that he doesn't respond to emails. Secondly, if you have accommodations for extra time from the resource center, he won't abide by it.
He can be sassy but i really enjoyed his class. He doesnt bore you with 1hr20min of lecture. I will be taking him for my Math 127
He has no exams just quizzes. I really like has late night class. I wish i had him before. This was my 3rd attempt and I finally passed.
This class was very good for me. I am gonna take him for Calculus 1. He really prepared me to become a better student. He can be fun too. The extra credit project really helped me.
The HW are done online. I really liked his method of teaching. He treated all of us an adult. This was my 2nd attempt and I finally passed with an A. BTW he has not plus minus grading scale.
Attendance is mandatory and is counted against your grade. Really clear syllabus and grading is curved. Lectures are easy to follow as long as you review the power point before class. Quizzes after every section in each chapter, open notes, no exams.

Loved this class personally, but was extremely hard the further we got into the semester. Test book cost $100, and is crucial to the class. Teacher is caring and funny, always is talking about something and making class fun, but if you don't have good study skills or are not a quick learner and can learn on your own this is not the class for you.
Goes over lectures really fast u never know what he is saying. if u ask for help he will not help u out. He talks about other things more than he teaches. Quiz everyday at the end of the class. quizzes are hard because he doesnt explain anything. His quizzes are nothing like the worksheets done in class. Save yourself the trouble and dont take him
His grading criteria is the worst i have seen. he has pop quizzes which are 1 question and it is out of 20. they are really hard and if you dont pass it you get a 0 which hurts your grade a lot. There is a lot of homework and way too many exams. I will never take him again. not prepare or late seriously 1 second to the class he will mark you absent
I honestly don't see how this professor gets bad ratings! He legit does an 85% and up as an A, and gives a ton of extra credit. Doing any summer class is hard let alone math. Its all about the effort you put in. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and will be taking him for 181. He helped us anytime we had questions and treated us like the adults we are
WORST TEACHER EVER. He is a very petty teacher. Class is based off of quizzes only, 5 questions for 10 points, but then the last 3 weeks of class he started to give us Ridiculous pop quizzes. 1 question worth 10 points and even 20 points. If you went there for a class you fail that quiz and it plummeted your grade. I was right and we are wrong.
Honestly this class wasn't even that hard its just that HE made it hard. Literally if you didn't understand something he would make you feel like you were stupid just for asking a question. He never stayed on topic. I feel like i learned more from my classmates than the actual professor. Also, he does pop up quizzes 1 question is either 10 or 20
Took his online class over the summer while taking 2 other classes and he was the worst out of the 3. There was an unreasonable amount of homework during the course everyday. Doing 150 math questions in a day is pretty extreme and if you have questions hes petty in his responses. Hardest thing was not running up on him after his in class lectures.
A lot of what the previous reviewers said was correct. He is constantly off-topic, which wouldn't bug me if he would spend any more than the minimum amount of time to help you before making a joke (Amy Poehler "cool mom"). If you read the book ahead of time it isn't hard but if you struggle you'll need a study group, he doesn't care if you pass.
I had professor K during the summer. He is strict and authoritative on the first day and doesn't accept nonsense. After that, he's pretty chill and funny! Goes on tangents a lot. Class grade was curved (85% and up is an A). Class is not easy by any means so you might need tutor/study group. Homework online, tests can be hard or easy. Online final.
Awful teacher. His tangents lead to no actual learning, requiring direct learning from the book. The same book he said is not required for the class. His tests go over material never taught directly from him, his pop quizzes are ridiculous, and his lectures last 20-45 mins into a 2 hour class. It's the first class I've truly wanted a longer lecture
I HIGHLY recommend taking the online course and buying the e-book. there are only 2 quizzes a week each with 5 questions. read carefully and you will pass! his grading rubric is great so I wasn't over stressing myself and he is really good about responding in a timely manner. math is NOT my best subject so I am really glad I took prof. km's class!
He doesn't use Canvas. Online classes are successful only if there is clear communication. He is not a communicator, and if you need him on a weekend, forget it. When he does answer its to ask you to be more specific. I wish I could attach the email communications . It's really sad and frustrating. Stressful.
I took his class last semester. Not only is he consistently off topic but his explanation for specific units were not so great. He made inappropriate remarks and comments about his students' personal lives and would even go far as to flirting with his students, as I should mention, his younger students. I don't recommend taking his class.
Goes to fast, doesn't really care if you pass or fail, will count you absent if you're a minute late, goes off topic, lectures for only 30 minutes-an hour, will not excuse family emergencies, death of a family member, or get called in to go to work if you miss an exam or quiz. Will also not allow make up quizzes or exams.
This professor will change dates on you without informing you. I took his class online and he will not give you the test password until hours before it is due. Some of us take online classes for a reason. I was due an A in this class, but because he changed the date of the last test without informing anyone I missed it. He also does not use canvas.
I think he takes everything is on his own conveniency. He does't use canvas. He's using another portal to make his teaching easy for him not for the students. He has no consideration to think most of his students are working. No remedial nor make up activities to those who missed assignments. He only give 5 question to each topic that weighted 2pts
Professor KM is a great instructor. Yes in the beginning he seemed mean like military type of vibe, but after first two classes he loosens up. He gives no homework, has video lessons that help you more in depth, and only has quizzes and pop quizzes no exams or finals. His grading scales is amazing. I loved this class & understood everything!!!
I would recommend choosing a different professor if you struggle with math. He gives a TON of homework. His study guides for each exam are graded and consist of over 100 questions (extremely time consuming). They do not always match the real exams and he barely gives you any time to complete the actual tests. He never responds to emails.

Uses Pearson not Canvas. Attempted online course, first grade to send off the semester is a 92 question readiness TEST for grade. Why start a semester with course material we havent learned yet? He doesnt teach you, Pearson gives you practice questions & thats how you learn. Daily 40 question HW, 3 midterms, 1 final. All while not instructing.
I would recommend to choose different professor if it is online, he gave us very hard 47 question to be completed in 80 minutes in my math lab which also takes time to write down the answers. The class was also self study, he just leave us when the lectures changed to online. do not take his class, otherwise your grade will be messed up!

i would use expletives if they were allowed to describe him but as it stands, he is generally a very rude and unhelpful man. would maybe be fun for a night on the town, maybe not in the classroom
I would personally never take this professor again. He was extremely rude to many students. He doesnt give assignments, only quizzes. He refuses to give you any help and his quizzes are rarely multiple choice. You cant even be off by .02 or round differently, because the answer is wrong. Highly do not recommend!
If you can't teach yourself math, then don't take this class, if you are planning to take it online. The teacher hardly had any live sessions, hardly responding to students. So many homework, quizzes, and exams are worth 80% of your grade, it was crazy. The teacher doesn't use Canvas, he uses Pearson. Never used the textbook. Just happy I passed.
He is by far one of the worst professors I have ever had. Takes DAYS to respond to emails, the lectures he sends out are always a week or so AFTER the exam you need it for, and his "power points" are awful and literally absent of text. That said, his curve is very generous. Just be prepared to teach yourself with the textbook.

my class was online so it could be different for in person but ALL assignments were on mathxl. The MANDATORY "practice" exams were about 120 questions. He posted youtube videos on the lecture as well. I am very bad at math so I didnt get a good grade, id suggest not taking the 181 class online unless youre good at math because I struggled!
This Professor was terrible. His lectures were not thorough, like he expects you to understand everything right away. He is not understanding or kind, and doesn't care if you fail his class. I had to use Khan Academy to teach myself almost everything in this class, but I did pass. You can work ahead on assignments which was nice.
This course is best for those who prefer to learn things on their own time, but not for the faint of heart. You're going to have a 30-40+ question homework every DAY that escalates from simple concepts to problems that take upwards of 15 minutes. Imagine this home work load, plus a quiz a week, plus exams, all while being self guided. Good luck

The worst professor I've ever had. Does the bare minimum. Almost like he expects you to know the material already. Skims over the PowerPoints that barely cover what's on the homework. If you take this class you have to teach yourself and that's hard enough because the PPs are very dense. Puts questions on the HW that he doesn't teach.
This Professor was the absolute worst. He did not teach and would only discuss what he was going to eat, do at the bar, and what date he would go on. I don't find this any what appropriate for the classroom nor should that have caused me to fail. If he would have done what he was suppose to I would have passed the class but he did not.

This course was the easiest math class I've ever taken. There was a lot of worksheets and tests but most of them were easy, and I hate math. Everything is textbook based and there were a lot of YouTube videos. It's so easy to pass this course, especially since there isn't a final exam. I highly recommend this course to anyone that hates math.
he's not the best teacher.. want help? go to tutoring. no late work, no extra credit, you get 1 attempt at hmwk online(so pay attention). being 1 minute late will get you marked absent. he's got a disrespectful/condescending tone about him.. if none of that stuff bothers you and you're decent at math you can effortlessly and casually get a B

Absolutely DO NOT choose this professor for an online course. He provides no helpful lectures and you will have to learn all the material yourself. Assigns 3-5 assignments a week with nearly 40 questions for each assignment. 3 hours to learn the material on your own, 3 more hours to complete each assignment. This class will require 30 hours a week.
A lot of homework. Up to 50+ questions in an assignment for a single week. The enormous curve in grading is the only reason I can go to MATH 181. A 70 is considered a B. He doesn't engage at all in his online class. It's self-taught. Don't take this class if you already have a big workload because this won't fit into your schedule.
Grade curve was the only good thing about this class and what made me barely pass his class. No lectures or videos, only slideshows that the math textbook made. Don't understand something? You have to look up on YouTube or hire a tutor. Didn't help students who struggled. Continuously pulled all-nighters and makes your mental health horrific.
This is one of the worst professors I have EVER taken. Be prepared to spend 5+ hrs on one assignment because he likes to assign 85 question assignments and give you one day to do it. His hw dates are sporadic and he's prone to changing exam AND hw dates the day before. His notes aren't even notes it's copied and pasted from the textbook. He suckss.
Worst professor I've had at csn. Goes through notes lightning fast without explanation, everyday I left class I felt like I had learnt nothing. You will 100% utilize outside resources to understand material, not including textbook. Assigns test problems he never taught, and admits to it afterwards. More than 50% of class dropped at end of semester.
Worst professor I've taken here. Homework 2-3 times a week, ranging from 25-150 questions for each assignment. Homework = 10%, Weekly Quizzes = 10%, and each Exam (4 in total) = 15%. One poor exam grade has a major impact. The only benefit was that 85% was an A. No lectures, only a copied PP. Students are basically self-taught with MyMathLab.
Was often confused after profs lectures, but he will answer questions and offer some help. Online HW and Quizzes worth 10% of your grade. 3 Exams worth 15%. Final worth 45%. Mainly went to the tutoring center and spent hours studying, which greatly helped. Can pull problems from notes or homework. Try getting a different prof, but yu can manage him

I enjoyed the class because the professor is lively. Never a dull moment. However, if you struggle with Math I recommend that you see a tutor on a constant basis throughout the time. I had to go to a tutor the entire semester. The professor is strict and sticks to his syllabus.
Improvement in Calc 3 compared to Calc 2, but there are still a few gripes. His method of teaching works for some people but doesn't work for others, but he allows us a lot more freedom than other 283 teachers. We can use a fancy calculator to do integrals. 3 exams 15%, 1 final 35%, hw 20%. I enjoyed his teaching style and found 283 easier than 182
He took all the show example buttons off of the homework when a student asked for help so now doing the hw is impossible. It's very hard to get a passing grade in this class :/
struggled in math and had to take math 120e for my degree, thought it would be the hardest thing ever but this instructor made it a breeze honestly. Makes this class as easy as possible to pass. All hw and quizes are online, if you cannot pass with him that is on you. If you need more help ask him. Does pop quizzes randomly, cannot miss 4 classes.

Show up to class every scheduled day, pay attention in class, and be prepared for pop quizzes! then you should be alright. also his grading scale is different (thank god). an 85 is an A, 70'S ARE B's, 60's are C's. This prof is alright if you already are well versed in math. If you are a student who struggles with math DO NOT take this class. The teacher doesn't really teach the subject it seems like MyLab/Pearson does the job for him which shouldn't be the case for an in-person class. Plus, it can be quite hard to tell what will be on tests in this class.
Really funny professor, his lectures were fun to go to and end early. The homework is on Pearsons which usually did not make sense. The tests are easier than the homework and the class is curved like crazy. If you don't understand during the lecture you can always ask him during or go up right after class. I plan on taking him for Math 182.

I hated taking his remote course. He assigns so much and moves the class at such a fast pace you would think it was an 8 week course. I emailed him about a test showing how pearson marked my answer wrong even though I had the correct answer and he refused to change my grade. If you want to actually learn do not take this course.

at first, i used to have breakdowns on the way home from this class because i would leave thinking i learned nothing. he teaches significantly better during the final 2/3rds of the class, and i also learned to watch a bunch of organic chemistry tutor. homework is extremely time-consuming and difficult (and its on pearson). he's really funny though
Relies on Pearson to do the teaching. 3 exams + final. His exams are not proctored and the website includes a textbook and examples for almost every homework problem. Homework consists of an average of 20-30 questions every week. If you -really- want to learn, another professor is recommended lol. His grading system saves lives, 85-100% is an A!
I truly appreciate how they create a positive learning environment, making sure everyone feels comfortable asking questions and understanding the material. This class has been both educational and entertaining, and I looked forward to every lecture!

If you are taking this class fully online, make sure you get the Pearson access code the moment he posts the Syllabus. I believe he thinks his class is the only one that matters as the homework assignments are due the day after one another. Be ready to prioritize this class because there is no breathing room. You won't be able to take a break.
So I had a rough day in class today after receiving a 0/10 ( missing ) on a POP quiz that I turned in the teacher failed me and brung my grade down because I didn't turn in my paper “ fast enough “ after him not even examining the papers he retuned them back just as fast as we turned them in and graded me on the spot! 0/10 bringing my grade down.
I feel like i jump the gun on that last review and was acting out of anger ,he really is a good teacher. He has a fun side but can be serious at times if you are not taking accountability for your actions. I am learning and there is room to make up failed or missed quizzes without the extra credit. The jokes take the edge off how hard math can be

On the first day, he looks intimidating, especially with the daily pop quizzes (they're really easy). But after the first few weeks, I looked forward to attending his lectures mainly because the man is naturally hilarious and explains the material very well and fast. I will warn you, if you're a softie that's easily offended, don't take him. 10/10
Great teacher I recommend anyone to take this class if your going to be serious about a course he goes step by step teaching you in a way you can learn. If you don't understand he goes one on one until everyone gets the problem I loved note taking in his class. Very friendly teacher hard worker who cares about his students future. 10/10 recommend

Took his class in person Fall 2024, from what I remember class was fun he loved to crack jokes but also serious and a caring. made us pair up which pushed me out of my comfort zone, liked when he ended class early though it added up and felt unnecessary. Made me think I could've taken it online. Overall enjoyed, easy, wasn't bad and I recommend!

He doesnt use +/- grading system. his A is 85% and his C is 60%. its an online class and i live in michigan. i didnt have to go to library for the exams.
It was easy and my own pace for a summer class. There isnt any final exam.
I really enjoyed this class. He was very strict and that helped me to pass the class. He never extended due dates but you will have enough time to do them. He doesnt give final exam and I hate taking exams. Idk why by he loves labubu and talks about food all the time. ughh...
This was taken for a summer class. Worst mistake of my life. He doesn't respond to emails and if there's online technical difficulties he just says "make it work next exam". He made the Final exam a day after the 3rd exam. Constantly changes the date of things. I fell for the good reviews and that's on me but trust me, don't take this class.
Aminul Km assigns a boat load of hw , 1 week 147 questions due at once, and that happened a few times during the 8-weeks. Hw is only worth 10%, very unfair. The exams tough, mainly due to time limits. Only given an hour to hour and a half, this isn't enough for pre-cal especially when a problem can take 30 mins. Caution when taking this class.
Took this class during the summer and it was the worst! Very homework heavy and study guide with over 150 questions. If you have any sort of technical issues forget about it because you'll fail the class. Despite having lockdown browser and webcam professor will not help you. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!
Even though we used webcam, I can use any tool for the exam. It was summer and fast but the materials were very straight forward.
DO NOT TAKE HIM. Worst professor I've had. Doesn't answer emails until after the deadline. Questions so hard even tutors who have passed 181 couldn't help me. Provides no useful feedback. The questions on the test are just as hard as the homework. The only good thing is that some exams are open note, but that doesnt help much. Idk how I passed tbh.
IT was online class and he made it very easy. For a business major, I worked on my own pace during the summer class. it was lot of HW but it prepared us for the test. The test are taken from anywhere. Which I liked it.
Taking his class has been such a trip. He cracks jokes throughout the class, and we all just talk to each other and laugh. I've made friends in this class as he forces us to work together, so that's nice. Use all the materials he provides, show up to class and ask questions in class. You will pass for sure. He also gives extra credit!
Professor K was an enjoyable instructor who made the class very manageable. Homework and quizzes were easy and closely followed what he reviewed in class. He does give surprise pop quizzes, so attendance is important. Showing up also means learning his helpful shortcut methods that make the material much easier. (Talks about food.. ALOT!)
Absolutely amazing professor. Very engaging with the class, and makes you engage with other students. All assignments were online and were easy. Attendance is mandatory, pop quizzes are given almost every class but they're easy as well. Would highly recommend this class. Thanks professor!
Professor K is a great instructor. Just make sure you attend class and arrive on time. The quizzes are pass–fail, so you definitely don't want to miss them. If you show up consistently and stay engaged during lectures, you'll have no trouble passing this class.
