He has a very rich iraqi accent, very knowedgeable but unclear when speeking. easy A, just make sure you study on your own
Dr. Afshar is very nice prof. He gives lots of chances for extra credit. He gives you all the tools to do well(pre-typed notes, powerpoints).I highly recommend taking him. The course is difficult but Dr.A always willing to help students to get a better grade.
Where to begin with this class. This guy is dreadful! I would not take his class ever. Knows what he is talking about after he is god awful. If he didn't give a 30 percent curve each test everyone in the class would have failed!!! Hard to understand, not clear with papers, assignment due dates etc. Trust me stay away far away from his class!!
Dr. A knows and loves the subject. He's funny and nice, but often too flexible in exam dates. Sometimes what he handed out helped for exams and sometimes it didn't. If you have him, just read ahead, study entire chapters, do extra credit, and attend class. He's not the best, but he's OK.
i love him. i am firmilar with medical terms so i have no problem understanding him (he has a middle eastern accent)if anatomical and medical terms are not your thing you may have trouble with his accent. other than that hes great.
He is awesome. He almost always has a body part in his hand showing you something. No guess work here. He treats everyone with respect. I have no trouble understanding him at all. He will give you a great experience. Does not put anyone down. Helps all who need extra help.
Dr A was very knowledgeable about the subject and gave great examples to help relate difficult concepts to layman's term, but he's very disorganized. If you want a A without working too hard, take his class. If you want to learn and retain, I wouldn't recommend him. He is very nice and always willing to answer questions. I would not take him again.
A&P is not an easy class - you will have to study your butt off. Dr A is very nice & tries to be helpful IN CLASS. He returns very little emails and no phone calls so get in a study/support group. He did not return tests or homework and grades took forever to be posted. His notes do not match our text books. I would not recommend him to a friend.
Dr. A. is knowledgeable, but you are expected to *GASP* study. As for the person who claimed no one would have passed w/o the 30% curve: 1) Learn what a "curve" is and 2) Know that I got A's on all my tests without any help. This is a class for more autonomous learners. If you need someone to hand you an A on a platter, please stay out of Bucks.
Dr. A definitely knows his stuff & teaches it well, but is very disorganized, scattered, & totally unresponsive to e-mails & phone calls. The best advice I can give is to address any & all concerns, & catch him in class (before, after or during breaks). Even though I don't like him personally, I would recommend him as a teacher.
Dr. A is very knowledgeable, however he is not very clear with what material will be on the test. He is a very sweet guy and is filled with intelligence, his teaching strategies are just a bit different then most professors. He is fairly easy, I would definitely take him again. He is flexible with the few assignments he gives.
I absolutely loved Dr. A. took him for both 181 and 182. A&P is a hard class and you need to study but Dr. A makes it so easy for you to do well. He curves the tests and gives a ridiculous amount of extra credit opportunities. He is very nice and funny and makes class as interesting as it can be. I would definitely recommend him!
As many other students have said, it is obvious that Dr. A is very knowledgeable on the subject of biology however he is not a great teacher. In my class, Dr. A seems to answer your personal questions with whatever he feels YOU want to hear. On tests he tells you what to study and what not to study, then when you get the test you find that material
This professor is terrible. He does not know how to teach. If you take this course with Dr. A as your professor, it will be a waste of your money. BEWARE
I am extremely upset with the out come of his class. He is extremely disorganized and confusing. he seems he will give you oppurtunity to grow if your not doing well in his class but takes it back at the same time. simply dont take him.
Dr. A is a great professor! he is so easy, he gives curves on all tests. at least 10% curves. there are a ton of extra credit oppurtunities that can literally bring you from a f to a c. he is very fair and i great teacher. i reccommendd himm!!! EASY A
Inconsistent grading system. You can average higher grades than others on exams, do all assignments and extra credits and end up with the same grade or a lower grade than others. UNFAIR! You compete for professional schools with these same students who received lower test scores. They could have a higher GPA without merit! Sciences should be based on objective grades. Curves are fine if EVERYONE receives the curved score!
where to begin with Dr. A ok lets start that he is the worse teacher ever, the man makes no time for his students or the material that needed to be taught, Met with him once for help and he asked me if i was even in his class.he tells you what you want to hear and does the opposite, and when he grades material he simply gives you a check.=(
Easy teacher, have taken him and another teacher for A&P 1&2, he was leaps and bounds easier. Attempts to make everything as interesting as possible. Just really, really study the study guides and you will get an A.
I like him alot-he's cool. Very clear, gives notes on everything so your not trying to write everything.Uses WebCT which is great because you can usually see your test grade right after or the next day, also can keep up with your total grade throughout the whole semester. This class runs very smooth, his efforts really pay off!
I like him alot-he's cool. He's the best teacher I've had yet! Tests are hard but he is available for help if you need it.
Section is hard, but Dr. A is great. I enjoyed his class. he is very smart, very helpful and understanding too.
He is one of the best teachers which I ever had.Taking this class in a six weeks session is very difficult alot of in depth material to learn in a short amount of time. Awesome class! Highly recommended!
I took the accelerated summer course for A&PI. Read the text, do the study guides on ARIS and work your butt off to learn the material. The exam questions (in summer, maybe fall too) are taken from the ARIS and study guide, but in the long run if you just memorize the answers, you are really just screwing yourself over... so also know the material.
Run! Dr. A is very intelligent he explains the material in layman terms ...but when it comes to testing....I have no idea where they come from but half of the answers have multiple answers and if the class doesn't point them out... with the book in hand you wont get the points..He means well but just doesn't get it. A student will get the same grad
Entirely too hard and confusing. Spending more time on this one class then the other 4 put togehter. The information that he wants you to learn is too much for any brain to absorb. On the first exam, I know of at least 4 people that failed. Do not take him.
Dr. Afshar is the BEST, he is very clear in what he expects. I don't understand the prior comments. I had him for AP181 and AP182, and he was extremely fair. too all his students. However, he is no dummy and does not put up with BS, so if your looking for an easy A, and not willing to do the work, then move your....
excellent, stress free.but u gotta work . He is the best, take him..
online, a lot of work because Ap is the hard course, teacher is always available to help and answers emails very quickly, a lot of material, need to work for your A,Great professor...Take HIM..
AP Online is hard. All memorization. You need to keep up with studying. Dr Afshar is the best teacher I have ever had.He has quick response in online AP... Take him....
in an on line class with him--extremely helpful! Makes my on line experience very positive, but don't think he is easy..... Take Him..
Dr. Afshar is a GREAT Professor , and I really enjoy going to his class, I learn something new every time. He also makes the class interesting, definitely take him if you get the chance.
I honestly do not know where all the great reviews are coming from,I dont think from a student. His class is very hard. I studied and studied and still struggled. Most of the other students in the class didnt do wel. I had to spend the most time on his class because of the difficulty of the tests and still got the worst grade out all classes.
Great teacher with good personality
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Dr. A, is a horrible teacher. you're going to just waste your money! He does not respond to emails or phone calls. he really does not care about his students because if he did, he would have helped them improve. He would randomly change his due dates and deadlines without you knowing! and his tests are ridiculous!! don't...
Professor Afshar is a GREAT teacher , and I really learned AP. I also took 182 online with him ...he had a quick response...
He is a great professor. He takes the time to explain to you what he's talking about. His labs are very effective. If you have questions don't be afraid to ask him however many times you want. As long as you keep up with the labs and reading you'll do fine. His tests are a little tricky but nothing he doesn't cover in class.
Listen For all of the people that are looking for an easy A--you're crazy. Anatomy and Physiology are the backbone of nursing. If you're looking for an easy A then the medical field is your wrong choice as a career for u. The subject is very hard and requires study.I know a few people that had Dr.A and loved him.You will leave the class smart!
Dr. Afshar is a very good teacher. A and P is a very hard class... he made it easier to understand. The one problem I had was with his tests... they were very hard. But he always gave extra credit. And he bends over backwards for students. Take him, he's great!
Most students feel that Dr. Afshar is very strict in grading. But, according to me he is very easy teacher. His tests are sometimes difficult. But all you need is determination for scoring A+. If you work hard, attend every class, attend every experiments, you will score your desired grades. Take his class. I am sure you gonna love it. Good wishes.
To pass this class make sure you memorize the ENTIRE TEXT BOOK WORD FOR WORD. There are also a ridiculous amout of pretests, post tests, labs and muscle tests. If you memorize the diagrams in the text, power points, and home work assignments, you will at least get extra credit on the tests. memorize ALL bones, muscles and joints and u may even pass.
Ask around the campus then register for someone else. I received an A but the experience is not one that I would recommend to a friend.
The Exams were very hard. I got a B+ in this class but I def. worked my hardest for that grade. Overall, Dr. Afshar is very helpful and tries to explain things more in depth to help you comprehend the material.
HE IS A VERY GOOD TEACHER. ITS NO WONDER HIS CLASSES ARE SO HARD TO GET INTO. HE REALLY MAKES YOU UNDERSTAND THE INFORMATION. WISH THERE WHERE OTHERS LIKE HIM...
I do not know why all these people here at giving this teacher a bad rating. He is a very easy teacher, and that's why his classes get filled early. All you have to do is read and understand, not memorize the whole book. It's a 4 credit course so obviously there is going to be alot of work.
Dr. A is a great professor! he is so easy, he gives curves on all tests. at least 10% curves. there are a ton of extra credit opportunities that can literally bring you from a f to a c. he is very fair and i great teacher. i recommended him!!!
All the work is online. Do the work, it's an easy A. I probably only went 10 classes--still got an A. TAKE Dr. A
taking this class hybrid. it is a joke during labs he leaves and expects us to know what to do. doesnt use a lab book. completely un organized. the only reason people take him is to get an easy A so if thats what you want i suppose take him, but i though teachers were suppose to actually teach you i think he feels differently.
Really easy and helpful. Always available. Highly recommend.
Online course the worst! His questions on his exams are not from the book and answers no where to be founddoes not give equal or enough time for some exams, took a week to respond to an important email.I am an Astudent have taken AP in02 retake for grad school. This class was ALL physiology little anatomy, which shocks me for the first sequence of AP.
online, a lot of work because Ap is the hard course, teacher is always available to help and answers emails very quickly, a lot of material, need to work for your A,Great professor.
Dr. Afshar has some poor reviews before I took him but I found that he was very easy to work with and fair. I took A&P1 with him in the summer and although he demanded A LOT of outside classroom work, the tests and quizes were all online and he would give back points if you could make a good argument. I would definately take him again in a hybrid.
I took him for A&P 1 in the summer and he was the best. He was very easy to get along with and understand. So I took him for A&P 2 in the fall semester and he was the worst. Was not understanding and easy to get along with. He was very unclear. The tests were hard. It was one of the most stressful situations I ever put myself in.
Terrible experience. Professor is extremely disorganized in his class structure. He gives quizzes before the chapters are due, there are questions that are on his tests that do not pertain to the covered material, his instructions are vague and misleading. I've never had trouble with science but this was a challenge due to his incompetence.
By all means DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES.He shouldn't be teaching. Very poor reviews of exams, unfair grading, tests that you would have to take outside of the class time, no extra credit offered, impossible to get in touch with through the e-mail.
Listen For all of the people that are looking for an easy A--you're crazy. Anatomy and Physiology are the backbone of nursing. If you're looking for an easy A then the medical field is your wrong choice as a career for u. The subject is very hard and requires study. You will leave the class smart! I got 2 As!
I took Dr. Afshar for both A&P 1 & 2. The class was not easy-nor did I expect it to be. It is A&P afterall! Tests and assignments were straighforward. The only drawback I have is that he takes a while to respond to emials (more than 2 days) and never responds to discussion questions post.
All of the assignments (homework, discussions, PHILS) were online. The classwork is set up strictly from the text. He uses PPT. He loves to use youtube for real world clinical applications. He is rather disorganized, but makes the class completely possible. He returned emails promptly. Disappointing in the lab portion, more writing than hands on.
Basically if you can teach yourself stuff and have a little bit of a bio background you will be fine..otherwise I would take someone else. He's a nice guy and will help if you ask but you're going to have to teach yourself a lot.
As stated by previous raters of his A&P 1, YES, you'll mostly be teaching yourself everything for the chp assigns, discussions and exams. Take his online if you're computer/internet savvy, self-taught and motivated otherwise I don't recc if you need a teacher's presence. I hate labs but these virtual labs were easy. For his online, ETEXT is a MUST!
I felt like he wasn't clear with some of the work. He would not take the extra credit I would hand in and not give an explanation as to why. Very vague emails. I will not take this teacher for the 2nd a&p course.
I took 2 online classes with this teacher. Program was very interactive, lectures and multimedia helpful. Discussions are easy, and at the same time interesting and informative. Teacher is very helpful. I would definitely recommend Prof. Afshar.
Took him for bio 181 and 182. If you fail his class. It's your own fault. Anatomy is not am easy course. But the tests he gives are straightforward enough. If your doing poorly he gives credit to raise your grade and is willing to help. He's a smart guy. Not the best teacher but he's nice and if you somewhat study and communicate you will pass
Majority of assignments are on-line, self-taught, spending 10-20 hrswk. Don't waste your time going to his class, take the entire course on-line. He only reviews the same info. from your assignments, not adding anymore insight to the material. Mispronounces medical terminology. Lab time is a waste, he usually used it to catch up on his review.
Held a good average all semester to get to the final and receive a D for not getting at least a 60 or higher. Basically worry about passing the final because if you have a A all semester it doesn't mean anything if you don't get at least a 60 on the final. Complete waste of time everything is unclear. Recommend choosing another teacher !!!
Took hybrid bio181-182. did not learn much because i did not do a lot of self study but i did learn what i had to do to get good grades. everything is fairly easy once you figure out how he runs things. he was always willing to work with you if you show just a little interest in class. says crazy things at times found him to be rather amusing
Teaches straight from a textbook supplied Powerpoint. Class was pretty pointless. Labs were a JOKE! Occasionally he would show some inspirational scientific Youtube movies, which were really cool. Tests were completely online, even though this was NOT an online or hybrid class. Hated how this class functioned & will never take this professor again!
Professor Afshar is a pretty good teacher. His class is really easy. He gives a lot of online hw which are really easy(10 questions, sometimes 20), online labs are easy, in class labs are just doing the lab manual papers and tests are online and easy. Basically like majority of the hw questions will be on the test. I would take him again!!!!!
Very disorganized. No point of showing up for class. If you just want to pass, take him. If you want to learn something, go for someone else. I recommend Dr. Sullivan even though he is always on the online program. But he is far more helpful than Dr. Afshar. Absolutely regret taking this class.
If you do not do well in this class it was because you either did not do the hw which can be done as many times as you want in order to get an A, Or you did not take the final seriously. The labs are super easy, and the extra credit was simple. If you show up and study for the tests its basically an A. He is not very organized, but a great teacher.
Only cares about you passing if you do. If you ask for help or extra credit he's there. He's very unclear about what he expects for the tests... Some of them are based on material he doesn't even come close to covering in lecture. Told us we have all day to take the final 9am-11pm, later told me, I couldn't take it. He meant 9am-11am..
Dr. Afshar is a nice guy, but should not be teaching. I have a hard time understanding him, and he assigns homework that we don't cover on in the lectures. Gives a final at the end that is worth half of our grade. I have to seek help from my bio 181 teacher due to Dr. Afshar poor teaching skills.
Dr. Afshar is by far one of the worst bio teachers I've had! All of his tests are take home and online, but he puts stuff on there that was not covered in class and expects you to know it! He spends so much time on one topic, and he gets a lot of things (due dates) mixed up. I would not recommend him, especially if you WANT to learn something.
- Not extremely clear but its not terrible. - He gives PLENTY of resources and study material - My suggestion to get an easy A 1. Come to every class! 2. Listen for hints on what to study 3. Always Always audio record the class so you can look back at what is most important! Get a friend to do it in case you miss a class
I had him for anatomy. He was terrible. He changes due dates without letting his students know.
After reading the reviews, I almost dropped my summer course. I am glad I didnt. Professor Afshar is great. He tells you what to expect. He teaches a lot based on videos, which I found interesting. I took him for AP1 and AP2. He tells you what to study for the final. If you fail his class is because you didnt put any effort. Be prepared to study.
Dr. Afshar is great.. he is an easy A if you do your work and study hard. I've taken him for both A&P's and he's been great.
Worst teacher I've ever had at Bucks! Final is worth 50% of your grade. Do not take him I do not recommend it. Powerpoints that is basically every page from the book.
He was pretty straight forward. If you do your work, you will pass. I had him for an online summer class. I passed with an A and no, I'm not a science guru.
He is the best teacher I have ever taken in my life. His test are really easy, and they all are take home. It does not matter if you take inclass or online, the test are take home. I am begging you to take him.
He has a very thick accent that is hard to understand a lot of the time. Grades are based of of attendance, connect assignments, and lab simulations. Final exam was questions from your previous tests and is worth 35% of your grade. If you are good at an online curriculum and showing up to class you will be fine.
worst professor checks his phone all the time reads from a text book changes syllabus just awful
Dr. Afshar for Bio 181. WOULD NOT TAKE HIM. Two weeks before the semester is over he decided to change the weight of the grades which lowered every student in the class to a grade lower. He punished the whole class for not doing well on the Lab practicals. He's very hard to understand and is not very energetic about teaching his material either.
He is a terrible professor. He is rude. Copies and pastes his homework. Not originals. Reads from the text book the entire time. Answers phone throughout class, looks stuff up on Google showing he is unprepared for class. Highly not recommended changes sylabus 2 weeks before class ended changing grading, attendence, etc.
One of the worst classes I've ever taken. There should be labs in an anatomy class and he did nothing with us. So disappointing. Did lab practicals that everyone failed and he didn't curve or care.
I took A & P 2 online. He is a great teacher. He really cares about students doing well. He would point things out if you were doing something wrong to make sure you didn't make the same mistake again. Just study for the tests and you will do fine. Tests were online except for the final. I would highly recommend!
Worst teacher Ive had thus far. Dr. Afshar simply reads from pre-made slides then tests on information not included in the notes. Labs dont exist in his classroom. 2 weeks left in the semester and we still havent started our dissection. We also have a practical, test 3, and a final with NO time to be taught much less study. DONT TAKE HIM.
Everything is cut and pasted from the book. There are chapter outlines available but they lack enough information to pass any test. He doesn't respond to E-mail or discussions so there is no way to tell if you're understanding the material until the test. Final is 40% of your grade, negating any work you did well on during the semester. Good Luck!
Here's how to get an A in this class. Do all HW assignments. You get unlimited attempts to complete. Final is 38% and lab practical is 10%. All tests are directly from HW assignments - very straight forward. Final was tougher. Labs are easy. You need to teach yourself in this class, but it is an easy A. I was in a hybrid class so I felt it was easy
Do all the homework, its really easy and the same questions are on the tests. All tests are online except the final. Pretty easy class I would definitely recommend
This class was very interesting and straight forward. Show up to class, do all homework assignments, tests are all online, BESIDES THE FINAL, and study for the lab practical. Final is 38% and lab practical is 10%. He is an amazing teacher and do to the terrible weather this semester he extended many assignments and tests. I would HIGHLY recommend!!
the WORST. So many assignments yet they don't count for much as your final is 40% of your grade. The final barely covers anything in what you're told its going to cover and he doesn't respond to emails when things aren't graded properly.
The worst teacher. He doesn't respond to emails. One of the worst classes I've ever taken. Highly not recommended!!!!!
He is a really great professor. He teaches and he does care about his students. If you have an issue he will go out his way to help. I took both of his A&P classes. It was really nice to be in his class. You just do the HW online and tests. Study for the final and lab practical. TAKE HIM!
He is such a bad teacher. I took him for physiology and one of his exams was straight up anatomy. The class average for that exam was 56%. He teaches things that aren't on his exams. He's lazy and does not put in a lot of effort into creating his exams and wonders why his students struggle. He is by far the WORST professor I've ever had.
Unclear, didn't teach, answer questions, showed random clips, contradicted himself when it came to dates, material. Upside: the class was easy. Just do the work and study for the final from previous tests and hw. Final and practical are all that matter. It was stressful to no end but only bc he made it that way. I think he gets a kick out of it.
Just awful so many assignments and not counted in your overall grades only you have to pass the final exam. Final grade 50% and lab exam 20% too much work.
final exam and lab practical make up about 70% of the final grade. final exam consisted of questions from the past exams. all three exams were online, open book but were only 10% of the grade. the only annoying thing about him was that he'd tell us to study for a quiz on the anatomy of something, but end up giving the quiz on the physiology of it
I appreciate this class more now that it is over, but it was horrible at the time. He is very unpredictable & it was hard to prepare for quizzes. All tests were online and open book. So much work for so such a small percentage of your grade. Final & lab practical were worth 3/4 of your grade but he told us exactly what to expect. Study the exams!
Take this class. His class is super straight forward and easy if you just follow the homework. This is anatomy and Physiology its meant to weed out who isnt meant for nursing school so Ofc its hard. Hes not super fast with emails but Will go to great lengths to help you learn. Also the final weight is set by the department and out of his control
Like others have said, super straight forward class. Took the online version so it was teach yourself from the textbook/powerpoints. Difficult class but that was due to the volume of material covered and subject. I like the way he set up the assignments and due dates. Study the exams for the final and you'll be good.
He was just okay. Our classes were switched to online mid semester due to the pandemic, but it didn't really change much. Final was worth 60% of our grade (which is crazy) but it was cumulative. So, if you study the 3 tests you're given throughout the semester, you're good. I wish I would've read his reviews before choosing him as my professor.
Unless you want to ruin your GPA, don't take this class. Averages for all his assignments range from about 55-65. The discussions have no basis or strict guidelines, but he grades you on things he did not ask for. Homework is online and is 380+ questions (116 concepts) due dates don't match MCGRAW and he doesn't answer his emails.
This professor has to be one of the worse at BCCC. he is not helpful and very hard to get access to outside of class if you have questions. He is from another country so his speaking is very hard to understand. He is also unreasonable. you can tell he is a professor that only teaching for the money and don't really care about his students.
Class wasn't difficult. Not a good teacher. Fumbled alot & backtracked all the time. Wouldnt pass if I didnt read the book. Not accessible outside of class & rarely responded to emails. dismissive attitude to questions from students in class. mostly annoyed by his view on politics + alarmed when he discussed view on the middle east in class. Yikes.
I had him for online class and honestly wasnt nt that bad. He replied to my emails within the next couple hours, sometimes sooner. Only gave three tests then the final which was 30 % of final grade. You should study after each chapter if you wanna pass because he goes very fast.
Dr. Afshar is a fine Professor. He taught class once a week and did want you to learn the main ideas of anatomy, with you having to read up on the rest. He also had group participation if you like that stuff. He did assign a ton of homework but was fairly flexible on deadlines. Tests were open book and the Final is mostly based on early tests.
He had a condescending attitude in e-mails (when he would actually respond), and on a 1,000 pt. final (70% of ones grade) that he claimed consisted of questions from 4 exams (2-4 chapters EACH) and an additional 4 chapters, the last 9 questions on the final consisted of completely random questions that were not from those exams or additional ch.'s.
Amir gave us a final worth 40% of our grade. Up till that final he gave us hours of work per week, setting us up for failure. He does not care whats so ever about his students. He is not good professor and shouldnt be teaching. He isnt from America so it is hard to understand him, but not cause of language but his inability to slow down in class
The amount of homework is DAUNTING. I read the chapter front to end, and print out the notes and powerpoints for each class and you will spend A MINIMUM of 3 hours of homework FOR EACH CHAPTER! The questions on the homework are not even on the exams and the ones that are are basically pictures from the text that you need to ID.
He didn't care about teaching a basic biology course in the least. I understand some students may like the easy A, but I cannot respect a professor that wastes time and money for students who need to apply the knowledge later. I taught myself.
I wrote a review with close to 4000 characters, but this site won't go above 350. Long story short, his hw are so insanely long."Lectures" are him reading his slides at a pace that you can't truly notate bc of his speed. If you're looking to learn AP, stay far from this guy, if you're looking to just get AP creds & not truly learn, take his course
such an easy class do not listen to these reviews. he is kind and he gives you everything you need to get an A. i dont know why these reviews are so bad he's the easiest teacher i've ever had. he offers help if you need it, but you won't even need his help to get an A cuz he tells you whats on the test.
Not clear on testing scores and impact they have on your final grade average!!
Straightforward online course, the cumulative final was the only proctored exam and was 99% questions from previous exams throughout the course. Could easily gain points and partial credit for discussion posts every week. No lectures, everything is teach yourself.
Nice guy, but absolutely does not know what's due. He's very disorganized. If you don't have the mental capacity to teach yourself anatomy, then don't take him.
Confusing lectures, felt like I had to teach myself 95% of the curriculum. Does the McGraw concepts each week that are 100+ concepts (stressful.) Hands out papers and tells us to finish and turn them in, then tells us he's not actually collecting them. Labs were simple definitely an easy A, but if you want to learn look elsewhere. Nice guy.
Ok professor. Lectures not offered but gives Notes & outlines. Heavy on McGraw system and time consuming. Retake the homework and chapter assignments as much as possible. All tests are proctored but offers note cards. Easy to get an A, study the material as all tests are done through McGraw and questions are right off the homework assignments.
No lectures, just powerpoint notes. McGraw homework, tests and discussions. Easy class, just study and tests are not difficult if following the notes.
Pretty straightforward class. There is alot of material to go over especially if you are taking an accelerated course.
Professor Afshar was incredibly disappointing as an instructor. Despite teaching both AnP1 and AnP2 courses, he consistently ignored my emails, which was also the case for my online classmates. This lack of responsiveness severely impacted our ability to engage with the course material and receive necessary support. Very unprofessional.
The class covers a lot of material, but with help from the textbook and resources like Unstuckstudy, it's manageable. The professor can be hard to follow at times, but stay engaged and you'll get an easy A.
His lectures weren't informational. Had to teach myself almost everything. He barely gave any directions with labs. The homework was a lot but so easy to get 100 on everything. He is a very nice guy, just very confusing, especially with a hard class to begin with. All tests are online. Made everyone get workbooks but only one group member needed it
