I've gone to him on many occasions, and he is always excited to help. Take him. He drops the lowest test grade, so it's not too difficult to get a good grade. Just show up for class.

Handsome? YES! Funny? Deff. He does have a dry humor, but this is COLLEGE and the assumption is that we're all adults. Don't like it? Leave it! Simple as that! Very passionate about the subject. Must read book? DUH! He says that the first day, as we can't cover every last detail in the book. Wording in test can be tricky if not used to. RECOMMEND!

Awesome teacher really gets along well with the students and loves to hear their opinions. He understands the stress of being a student so don't hesitate to email him. The textbook is a must read and he tells you from the beginning you need to read to pass his test. My test grades have only gone up after the first one. Tells funny stories too.

He's very laid back and fun. Very pleasing to the eye, and he has fun extra credit projects. He makes sure that things other than tests determine your grade.

He is probably one of the best professors I have had, ever! So smart, helpful, and passionate about the topic. I was not into politics before his class, and now I am! LOVE HIM! He provides a master study guide that everyone helps to fill out, and questions on the test come right from that! Study those - you'll get an A! The book is helpful!

Amir Azarvan. Great professor, very attractive, and funny. He is very caring for his students and wants them to be engaged in class discussions. His tests aren't that hard, just study. Even though his lectures are long and boring, he looks so good doing it.

Dr. A is seriously the man. He knows his material and gives a lot of facts that are not included in the powerpoints. If you come to class and get a discussion started he will debate with you just to be devils advocate. He is really down to earth and pretty chill. Don't want to say too much incase the department chair reads this, but its fun course

Study guide is really broad. He could be a little more specific, but review sessions make up for it.

Dr. Az is AMAZING! literally one of my favorite professors. He is witty, open minded & brings so many different elements into his lectures that gets the whole class engaged & interested. Dr. Az is very respectful, patient, and understanding of the different political ideologies that people may have in class. When taking his class BE ON TIME!

This is a great professor. I took this class as a core class but I enjoyed the semester with him and wish I would have taken him in the spring or fall. He is very clear about his expectations. He encourages class discussion but does not grade you on it. He doesnt make anyone feel bad for their opinions. He's not bad to look at either.

Real life simulation, in-class discussions, and he makes boring topics fun! Best Government class ever. Tests are based on study guide and easy if you study. No hOmework and dont need textbook.

Absolutely incredible! Would definitely recommend. I took in Summer, only a handful of tests and Mother Study Guide is great! Gives extra credit opportunities!! He's very funny and easy to get along with. He wants to make sure that students are engaged and having fun understanding the material.

Dr. Azarvan was one of the best professors I've ever had. Please study the mother study guide as most all exam questions are taken from there. I passed the class with literally a 100 as my final grade. He makes class interesting with his discussions and he really cares if you get the material or not. I totally recommend his class!

Azarvan is literally my favorite professor ever. His passion for, not only political science, but the well-being of his students, makes a huge difference in the atmosphere of his classes. Reading is mandatory, but everything is discussed in the lecture as well. He doesn't "believe" in study guides, but he does give you specific topics to focus on.

He's dope. Hardly assigns homework and gives extra credit like its candy. posts a "mother study guide" on his website which is essentially everything you need to know for the tests. Really funny guy and does not require attendance.

Prof. Azarvan is a VERY good prof. He lectures all class which seems boring but he's very funny and entertaining and nice to look at. He has a mother study guide online which is basically the tests. His class is very easy to get an A in. Attendance is not mandatory, but he takes roll and it adds up in the end. I totally recommend him!!

By far my favorite professor I've had. There are 4 test and 1 essay. The questions on the test come from the study guide. Easy A.

Pretty cool guy. I'm not a fan of power point lectures so I didn't really enjoy that part. The mother study guide was super helpful and some of the tests questions came straight off of it. Definitely helps to read/skim the textbook before the lectures because he moves quickly though.

Dr. Azarvan is cool. His sense of humor keeps the class light. He does talk a lot but its information that is needed to pass exams. Exams are MC with one term paper. Gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit.

He is so cool. He is my favorite professor of all time at GGC. If you actually do something worth his time in class, he would have your back to the end. His bluntness makes the class more interesting. The class is a constant feel of him acting like an older brother. If I could, I would take him for any subject.

Absolutely fantastic teacher. Only a few tests with a final that is not cumulative. If you put a bit of studying in, you will pass his tests. The textbook was free and available online. Lectures involve ppt but there is a lot of class conversation using real life examples. He's very passionate about the class, funny, and understanding.

Dr. Az is a very great professor. He is very passionate about what he's teaching and makes it even better by adding real life situations stirring up much conversation between peers. Not really any class work however attendance is mandatory. The tests are very easy and simple if you study prior to. Take him!

Amir is a great teacher and makes American Government a breeze. You don't have to buy a book for his class, as he has an online link to it. His tests weren't the easiest tests, although your given a mother study guide to help. Amir is a good lecturer and makes American Gov as interesting as he possibly can. Great guy to talk too and not biased.

My man Amir Azarvan is a true gem. He makes class pleasurable to come to and gives amazing stories and jokes. I wouldn't mind meeting him for coffee or even drinks outside of school because he's just an outstanding professor and human being. You will not regret taking him.

First initial thought is hes cute. Hes Iranian btw. Anywho, you dont need to purchase a textbook because its online, he speaks fast but clear. Hes funny and very well educated. Learned alot. I ended up passing his class with an A. Just make sure to follow all of you rubrics, come to class, read your textbooks, and your good to go.

Professor Azarvan is by far my most favorite professor. He cares about his students, he displays a positive attitude in and out of class, he isn't boring and can be quite funny. His tests are difficult, but this is coming from someone who only studies the night before an exam. He explains things very well and I hope I get another course with him.

Professor Azarvan is one amazing professor. I definitely recommend him to any one wanting to be in the Law field in their life. He is someone who gives great feedback about everyone and everything, and he is quite the jester, as well. Just show up and study the study guide and you will definitely pass.

He's an amazing professor. He cares for the students and will work with you. He does not post slides so you have to show up but at the same time he doesn't grade your attendance. There isn't that much hw and you get to do fun discussions in class. Plus he is hilarious. I would recommend taking his class

Dr. Azarvan is an amazing teacher, he is super caring and is hilarious! There are very little grades in the class and his exams are hard, and I feel like a lot of what he recommends to study for the exams ends up not being on the test. Does not post lectures so make sure to attend class and take notes and listen. Made this intro gvmt class fun!

Tests are based on the readings and PowerPoints. His tests are hard but he curves it if the average is below 75. The term paper is a pretty easy A as long you follow the assignment instructions to the letter.

Very helpful and it's easy to get an A if you do all the work you're supposed to do and turn in everything on time. He gives extra credit with the voting simulation which was really fun to do as a class. Tests are hard but even if you get all 75's on your tests just do well on the other assignments & extra credit and you'll still end with an A.

AWESOME PROFESSOR!!!! Best one Ive had yet, his lectures were never boring and we had a lot of debates and discussions. Absolutely hilarious and tests were super easy. He would give tons of extra credit and it would add points onto your final grade. Great guy all around.

I genuinely enjoyed taking this class. I have never been one to like Political Science but he completely changed my view on this. He is an amazing professor who will take time to help each and every student. He is very clear on what he expects out of you. He offers extra credit. Does not overwhelm you with homework.

I really enjoyed this class, there is really no way you can fail! Just make sure you take notes and be present when he goes over any lectures that might be on the exams. He also provides a study guide which is pretty long but you get to do it between groups and have only one research paper. He's great!

A wonderful and highly recommended professor. He speaks fast, but does a good job of explaining the material. He is passionate about his profession. The material is both from videos and reading the textbook. The reading material is dry (politics), but his videos are always on key. He definitely brings the excitement to the material.

Group discussions has been a bit difficult due to the pandemic but the class is straight cowards and you take notes based of his YouTube videos along the course with an exam guidance and 4 tests to take. There is One major paper for the class but it relates to debatable political issues on what you choose or what he listed.

Man professor Azarvan is one of the coolest teachers I have ever had. You need the book for the exams because you will be doing discussions during class time (during covid). He is a really cool teacher, very well spoken and is willing to work with you if things get tough outside or inside class. I would 100% take him again and recommend him.

His class is really interesting, I would totally take his class again. The exams are pretty easy, just make sure you pay attention and write down your notes. I really enjoyed his class.

So I had him for Spring 2021 and it was a hybrid class. The issues with his class is he never taught anything on the test. He just did random discussions in class and u had to participate. Your only grades are 4 tests and a term paper due in the middle of the seamster. The textbook is free and provided as a PDF and the test are open note.

Professor Azarvan was a great teacher, he made his class bearable since we never had homework. The tests were all based on the Mother Study Guide which was helpful. He is very nice and will always respond to your questions.

One of the coolest professors at GGC for sure!!! Attendance is MANDATORY and counts towards your grade so do not sleep in for this class!! Super fun topics for discussions (in person meetings). He is a very fair teacher, people who do not pay attention or look at the syllabus do poorly in his class... His sarcasm is so funny!! Highly recommend him!

This was an asynchronous class for me so all 3 tests were open book, open note. You also have 3 discussion posts and a term paper which are really easy as long as you meet the minimum requirements. He is accessible outside of class and is willing to help you with anything that you need. Really nice professor.

Amir has probably been one of my favorite professors. One of my essays had been submitted wrong and he was very relaxed about my grade to save me from failing, which was deserved. Our tests were on google docs because rather than having us learn definitions, he encourages us to focus on what is happening around the world.

Super easy class; I would sometimes forget I even had it. He is an easy grader. You will get a 100 on the discussions as long as you meet the word count. If you follow the rubric carefully, you will get an A on the paper, too.

professor azarvan was an easy and understanding professor. as long as you get your work in when it's due then you should have little to no problems. downside is sometimes i'd forget im in this class because there really wasn't much except essay discussions, exam, and term paper, and also it was online for me. amazing and caring person!!!!!!!!

Professor Azarvan is a caring teacher and is willing to hear any perspective while providing his own point of view. He treats his students like people rather than children like many other professors. While there may be disagreements in discussions they are more often than not incredibly calm and professional. Thanks for a great year teach!

I do duel enrollment and I'm very new to this college stuff but Prof. Az was amazing. His lectures really helped me with learning the criteria, he was very patient and open to students opinions as long as you are respectful. He is super chill and is lenient with his grading. Overall GREAT professor.

This professor has been the best so far. This class was online. He genuinely cares about students and wants them to succeed. Quizzes and tests were easy. Just don't plagiarize on the term paper and it will send you a long way. Easy 100 on the term paper if you follow the rubric carefully. Would likely take him again.

Probably my favorite teacher at GGC. As long as you are engaged in the material and communicate any questions you have about the subject or class you should pass this class with a good grade. One piece of advice I would give is to participate in the discussions that take place in the class and to not be afraid to voice your opinion.

Asynchronous class it was ok got everything done at the beginning of the semester. Has three test, which are under lockdown browser, you write one essay and you're don. Easy A

Easiest Class Ever!! The class consisted of in total 9 quizzes, 3 tests, and one midterm essay. The material was very easy and we had plenty of time to complete each assignment.

This class was an extremely easy class, there was quizzes on each chapter. He has videos of lectures on youtube. There were three tests that all had a lockdown browser and one term paper. He did take a while to respond to emails but when he did respond, he was super helpful and caring. Definitely recommend.

He is a good professor with great lectures, 1 assignment to worry about, which is a term paper(Not hard), online quizzes on chapters covered, and 3 exams total, which aren't so bad if you do the study guide that he provides. He takes a while to submit grades, but that's nothing to worry about as long as you do everything you're supposed to.

Amir is a great professor who makes the class enjoyable. The work is manageable - 3 exams, a term paper, and some quizzes. While the tests get harder as the semester goes on, Unstuckstudy was really helpful for studying.

Amazing Professor, just keep up with the work and that is all that matters. He response to emails quick and as long as you follow the lesson plan there is no reason you should not ace this class.

This is a really nice professor. His lectures are really heavy, but it helps in the end when it's time to take the test. I would definitely take him again just not a late class like I had. He did hand out a massive study guide. It was to be used for the whole semester. And it did come handy when it was time to take test.

Dr Azarvan was very reachable even thru online + summer! 2 units each week, but wasn't so bad, just a LOT of reading. I think bc it was Summer: no final! Not sure if it will be the same next Summer. Many quizzes + discussion posts. Super caring professor and interesting online course. Take him!
