Lots of work, but not hard work. Flexible on due dates.
In the begining he seems hard, but he is fluctual coming to due dates of assignments. He is helpful when you have questions. His exams are pretty are okay just study the book and worksheets.SOmetimes if you argue the question that you got work he will give you the point.
Lots of work, but completly doable...seems like a lot, but it's really not. He's pretty laid back and flexible with due dates too.
This teacher seemed hard on the first day then lightened up afterward. The class had many student lead discussions. There is a lot of reading.
There is alot of reading in the begining but that will weed out the weak which he wants, he likes his classes small. keep up on the readings midterm and final is an essay and you get the question a head of time. IF you get a paper back he will give you a chance to turn it in again for a better grade. I loved this teacher, he was really funny
Really nice guy, he wants you to do well. Hard material but he provides assignments and projects that are helpful... He always left class during tests though, it was weird.
Although his syllabus was 11+ pages long, the class was a lot of work, but very easy. He's lenient when it comes to grading and assignment due dates. Learned a lot in his class, and would recommend him.
so stinking boring! nothing is clear, and there nobody ever knows what is going on. the class is student taught, and when you bring it up to him, he gets offended.
This class wasn't really useful at all. He doesn't lecture too much, just presentations. But then the tests are based on what HE thinks is important, not what was presented, so it gets kind of confusing and people's grades aren't the best. Very nice guy, willing to work with you. But boring class.
He does not lecture us, we teach the class. However, he puts the information HE wants on the test, not on what we presented.
His class can be very confusing at times, but he is really nice and is helpful. He is very leniant when it comes to assignments being due, and if you joke around with him the class isn't that bad. From what I've heard he's the easiest Ling 329 teacher.
Good Teacher. Easy to get an A. In the beginning his assignments are very confusing, and due dates are unclear. But you can turn in assign. when ever you want as long as it isn't too far from the original due date. He is a push over, so you can push back assign. due dates or change the assing. You can redo assing. to get a better grade.
This guy is crazy. He doesnt know what he wants. He is lenient in grading, but man his tests are hard. You basically have to teach yourself in this class. Hopefully you have a great group like I did.
He's a nice prof. very lenient and flexible on assignments being turned in. U got 2 have respect for him. Keep yourself awake and alert of what's going on in class. don't hesistate to ask questions.
Sharifi is a gift. He is insightful, provocative, and encourages you to think "outside the box". OUCH!I enjoy his classes. He trusts his students. He knows his students. He lets you write yr own midterms & finals. what else could you ask for?
Sharifi is a very knowledgeable about the subject. He breaks up your 2 final papers so you don't end up procrastinating.Their is a reasonable amont of readn but it is all interesting. You have 1 ppt presentation (very simple)& 1 prestntation where you presnt a reading assgnmnt.Take this professor.HE is a bit unclear at times but overall great class
He's interested in what he teaches and is super helpful, basically forcing you at times to get help on big projects. Books are used constantly but the projects are interesting and he is lenient on when you turn your papers in. I enjoyed this class.
Every class session is basically a member of the class presenting one of the readings. You will only have to present one of the readings once. The rest of the time you will just be taking notes on the readings which will be collected once. There are 4 really easy 2 pagers, and one big paper, which is spaced out throughout the semester so it's easy.
take him! class is a breeze & you learn a lot! there is a lot of reading, but most of the time, theyre pretty interesting. has a lot of projects but is very lenient. some students took advantage of his kindness which was sad. he knows his info & is a sweetheart!
Sharifi is like that crazy prof with his hair all messed up and half his shirt untucked, coffee stains, and he's a little confusing but you learn to love him. He's flexible, just work with it, speak up, ask questions as tho ur interested, do the work (its not that bad if you just try) and you'll get a good grade. He's a softie deep down
Get to know him and he's great. He truly cares about his students if you put in effort and interest. He's also really funny and doesn't even know it. Easy to get an A if you try.
this professor is really knowledgeable about the material he teaches. hes passionate about the subject and you leave the class learning something new each time. his class is very insightful and interesting and hes really funny too. hes lenient on deadlines and offers you 2nd and 3rd chances to redo papers you didnt do good on. great prof, easy A
Very unorganized and very vague. He doesn't know how to write tests - all the questions are ambiguous. Lots of homework and projects. He's a pretty lenient grader though.
Best teacher ever! Class was fun and lots of participation. The teacher seems dry, but has a great sense of humor. He is open to hearing what you have to say and is super cool. Awesome teacher. Wish he was available to teach more classes. Take him!!!
At first i thought i was going to die in the class... the chapters are long and not easy to understand. it helps A LOT to go to class! thats how i learned for the chapters i didnt read. get to know him too! he's a wonderful professor, great sense of humor!
easy grader. boring teacher but funny at the same time. laid back w/ late stuff. unorganised/vague. essay tests based on readings of articles. a term paper. would i take him again? yes b/c he is so chill and even admitted "it's never too late w/ me." when i asked him if i can turn in something late.
He is really lenient, easygoing and an easy grader, but SUPER SUPER vague and confusin. You never know what the heck is happening.I'd honestly have a difficult professor where I "know" what I'm doing over an easy professor where I'm constantly confused day by day. If you want an easy "A" and be confused everyday for a full semester. take him..=/
He is my most "unliked" professor in CSULB. Sure he is easy and lenient, but he is very unorganized, confusing, vague and boring. I hate showing up to his class constantly stressing over what we were supposed to do.
Spring 11': This class is student lead, so prepare yourself for class discussions.. oh and completing assignments, projects, and essays without a notice. The professor is an easy grader; however, there is ALLOT of assignments and readings for this course!! Overall, the professor is laid back, I got an "A" on this class!
Dear future students planning to take this class, please don't. Do you want to be confused throughout the whole semester? Do you want to constantly be stressed out about due dates? Would you like a professor who never answers emails? Would you like a professor who gets angry when you ask questions? Do you want to learn nothing?
It's true, he is unclear, but he tells you which assignments are due and how many things you will need to do throughout the semester. His class IS EASY if you do all of the work. If you hate writing essays and journals, then you probably wouldn't like this class, but remember, it is a capstone class which means you do need to do lots of writing.
I've had Dr. Sharifi for a lot of classes. Some people don't like his Socratic style. You get what you put into his classes. I do the reading, so I like knowing I have a class where I don't have to stress about deadlines (because he doesn't) and just enjoy learning and discussing. He's really dry-witted funny, too, and a nice professor.
super easy. it's true that he is unclear about the due dates. however, he is super chill and nice. his tests/quizzes can be ambiguous but he goes over the tests and gives points for those who argue for the right answer. his lectures can be boring, but he is funny sometimes and very nice. take this class.
Great professor. Yes he can be unclear, but he is funny, smart, and helpful if you ask him about what you're having a hard time understanding. I like his teaching method, and the amount of work in this class is just right. A little on the heavy side but nothing impossible. Great teacher, take him, just have patience.
If you are going to take this class with Sharifi (or even at all) do yourself a favor and take LING101 and/or LING170 first. This will help make 329 super easy to understand. Since he is kind of a confusing professor, it helps a lot. I took them first and have no problems in his class while my classmates do. He is a bit confusing, but good. Take.
Good teacher
I adore Mr. Sharifi. I learned a lot and seriously enjoyed his class. He's laid-back and super funny. It's true, he doesn't give a damn about deadlines but what's wrong with that?! His readings are insightful and worth the read. I still have his articles and refer to them now that I'm an educator.
Sharifi is super nice. He gives a ton of reading and work, but if you do everything well, you will get 100% on everything. Take him if you don't mind a lot of work, but an easy A.
Nice guy, but totally unclear and vague even when you ask him to explain things over and over again. Doesn't follow the syllabus, tons of reading, boring classes, but if you just turn in the assignments (even half finished ones) he gives you 100% on everything. Take advantage of extra credit opportunities! Easy A, but a frustrating course.
This is a student led class, so get used to it! I was really close to dropping, but I really needed this class to stay on track for graduation. There's a lot of work, but he's an easy grader. As long as he sees that you put effort into the work you turn in he'll be willing to work with you. Lots of work and lots of reading! But I thought it was ez
Do your readings! Also, be prepared to have a completely student led class, the poor guy just cannot handle a classroom... He's very nice and very generous with extensions, but he's absent minded and unclear. If you can write well this class will be an easy A.
He's a nice guy, but he's so unorganized. Lecture only touched on a small amount of what was in the readings, and nothing was clear. I felt like I spent a lot of hours on learning very little.
I'm not one to complain when I come across a professor like Sharifi. So the man's a little un organized, the class is definitely an easy A as long as he sees you're trying. I had thoughts of dropping but after getting my first A on a paper I (of course) decided to stay and finish the class. I recommend him. I only got a B because of attendance.
Dr. Sharifi is very unorganized and absent-minded but his awesome personality really makes up for it. He's not a hard professor by any means, but he does expect you to do your readings and participate in class. The more you participate, the better your grades will be overall. Show that you care, and the class will be a piece of cake. I assure you
Dr. Sharifi generally lets the students lead in a discussion style class (Education Across Cultures, Sociolinguistics, etc.) Very interesting readings, a lot of workwriting but flexible turn-in dates. Syllabus is only tentative so if that's a big deal to you, you might want to avoid. His contributions to discussion are always enlightening. A+ prof
One of the more frustrating classes I have ever taken in summer. He is extremely vague with his homeworkpapers. Have to visit a school and do a big paper on it. He has a funny personality. Doesn't always go by the syllabus. Overall, the class is a medium in terms of difficulty. Be prepared to voice your opinion on the readings. Exams are take home
I've had Sharifi twice now. Overall his assignments are kind of vague and he doesn't really follow the syllabus. Deadlines are very lax. But keep up on the readings (long, but usually very digestibleinteresting) and you'll do fine. He's a really intelligent guy with a lot of valuable things to teach. At this point, I would take him again.
His specialty is social linguistics. Any one who is interested in social linguistics should consider taking his class. As someone mentioned before, his instructions on assignments might be vague. Please make sure to ask him directly as early as possible. This class requires a term paper. 1 midterm, final plus a lot of reading assignments.
Dr. Sharifi is awesome! This course itself is very interesting and the readings assigned are also very good. The class is student led as you have to do a presentation, but that is pretty easy. There are plenty writing assignments but they are all easy and relevant to ones life. Stay on top of it and you'll receive an A.
FUNNY guy. LOTS of reading for the class, and many books to buy. You have a project you will work on all semester then present it to the class. You will have another presentation too and about 6 papers to write. A reading due every class. Participation matters. Does not email back. Willing to answer questions. Unorganized. Open on due dates!
I was really intimidated to take this class. Assignments are very challenging but he meets you half-way if he sees you are trying and want to understand. I would definitely recommend taking him. He has very important things to say and I am very glad I took his class.
Loved this class. No, he does not follow the syllabus; if you're willing to be flexible right at the start, won't be an issue. There was a ton of work--some of it felt like a waste of time. Readings were incredibly interesting. You'll have a much easier time if you have a good attitude and show you care. A very unique, kind, hilarious professor.
Don't take him. He was unorganized and didn't even know when his own deadlines were. The work isn't hard if you read the 2 textbooks that he ask for, but he lectures by reading off the slide. He also makes other linguistic major teach the class because he is to lazy to and he does nothing.
Okay, let's get things straight. People who enjoy this class have an unorganized life and have too much spare time to be doing his readings and HW. The guy doesn't know how to teach - he stares at the class blankly 80% of the time and constantly asks how much time is left in class. His "humor" isn't funny, its sadistic. A serious waste of my time.
He is very unorganized and at times confusing, but if you take the time to ask him exactly what he wants he'll tell you. This was pretty much a student-led class. You go over all the readings and questions in class. I didn't buy the last three books and still passed the class and got an A on both midterm and final.
VERY DISORGANIZED & PILES ON THE WORK. I think he thinks his class is the only one you're taking. Does not follow the syllabus, reads off the slides. His laugh is pretty awesome though. MAKES MISTAKES ON EXAMS so we have to slip our final scantron under his office door then go over it on final day. You're gonna be stressed the whole semester.
he is INCREDIBLY disorganized but if you keep an open mind about his leniency, the class itself can actually be enjoyable. student-led; he does notice who joins in and who doesn't in participation. i didn't buy half the books and still got an A for the course, just pay attention to presentations & attend class! the readings are very interesting.
Completely disorganized, but if you just keep up with whatever you need to do, you will pass with an A. He is knowledgeable in the field, however, it is student-run where you teach the class, so you hardly leave the course really being taught anything. A LOT of papers in a short amount of time. Most books can be found in the library. Good luck!
This guy.. All I can say is I am so happy to be done with this class. He doesn't follow any type of syllabus, he spends the class reading directly off the slides, and he gives way too much work for a 3 unit class. We had papers every week, on top of group projects and our semester long project. He has no consideration for the work load of students.
Don't take this class if you can avoid it. Dr. Sharifi is extremely disorganized, his expectations and directions are unclear, and his sense of humor is constantly toeing the line between sarcastic and just mean. The assignments themselves aren't too bad. It's an easy A, if you can deal with the constant work and having a mess of a syllabus.
LISTEN UP: you have to know what you're getting into. The first time I took one of his classes I was always stressed and frustrated. Deadlines mean nothing to him, and he's not always clear. But he makes you think for yourself and you can turn in assignments whenever you want. He's ended up one of my faves. You can learn A LOT if you chill out.
10 detailed commentaries 4 group projects A personal commentary for each project Random extra writing assignments (not on the syllabus) Midterm and Final were take-home but are about 50 questions each + Final Research Paper and Project Presentation All while having no idea what your grade is or how you're doing in the class.
I thought I could manage his unorganized structure. It was horrible. He added random assignments. Its not a hard course, but its confusing. Btw he rarely talks in this course. The students basically do the lectures...
Funny guy. Organization is overrated. Take the A.
Although the class was extremely time consuming (if you actually do the work), it was easily doable, and you'll probably get an A or B if you show up and turn in the work (EVEN IF ITS REALLY BAD LOL) Also gives extra credit! Sharifi scared me a lot at first, but I'm glad I stayed because he is hilarious & genuinely seems like a good person!
Don't take his class if you like professors who stick to schedules and have clear grading criteria. The students teach most of the class through daily presentations of reading material, and participation matters. Constantly changes due dates, and doesn't give clear grading criteria or instruction for most assignments. I would not take him again.
Do not take him, he is not only very sarcastic in a mean way, the workload is very heavy. From an in class presentation, to the discussion questions, micro themes and many other papers. This class is not worth it. Due dates are also not final, so you can have as much time as you need for an assignment.
He's pretty disorganized, and I don't think due dates exist in this class. He has a sarcastic humor though. His readings are really interesting.
His class is a bit disorganized which can either work in your favor or hurt you. He gives plenty of time for assignments & does not have strict due dates. Some presentations youll have to give. Overall good class & good readings
Sharifi is super relaxed when it comes to due dates, so have someone in your class be in charge of organizing everything and Sharifi will pretty much go along with it. Sharifi is actually really hilarious and has a great dead-pan sense of humor. All the topics discussed in class are super applicable to those entering the field of education.
Professor Sharifi is knowledgeable about the class but can be very condescending and vague. The majority of the class is based on outside readings, observations, student presentations, and writing assignments. This class was informational but required a lot of work. Be prepared to do an unnecessary amount of reading and writing in this course.
Funny, loose deadlines, learned SO much from assigned readings. He's truly the best
Skip class you can pass, but youll have a hard time doing so. Summer Students BEWARE, there is a lot of reading. Professor is really understanding about turning in late work. Coursework: 4 essays, 1 midterm, 1 project, and 1 final You won't feel like you're learning, but at the end you'll think otherwise. Great professor, would reccomend
Ive had Sharifi for multiple classes now & Ill admit when you dont know what to expect his classes can be a little overwhelming bc he does things differently than most professors. That said, I have never met another professor who cared more about his students or was more passionate about the topics he talks about in class than him.
Took this class for my minor and learned nothing. He has a syllabus with a schedule that is super outdated, you can tell he just copies and pastes everything from previous semesters. NEVER talks about the readings in class but assigns a ton of work out of the book. LOTS of group projects. He doesn't give clear instructions and is rude.
Like many others have stated in their ratings, the first day of class can overwhelm you and make you consider dropping the course. DON'T! Yes, there is a lot of work to do for this class but it is very much doable. Also, deadlines do not exist for him. You can turn your work in at any point throughout the semester. Definitely would recommend.
The first day of class is the most confusing, but do not drop the class! Deadlines are not really enforced meaning this a very go with the flow type of class. Slowly youll start to understand what is expected of you in the class. Use your classmates as resources!
I really treasure Professor Sharifi. There's a lot of work to turn in throughout, but it's incredibly doable and there are literally no deadlines. He gives you a date when something is do, but he doesn't dock for late work. And he lets your rework something if you weren't satisfied with your grade. He's crazy, but he's a really kind man.
Changing to a virtual learning environment has clearly been a struggle for Sharifi. Beachboard was extremely disorganized and many things missing. Yes, he is flexible on deadlines but there is SO MUCH work, and not all of them are possible virtually (ethnographic project) . He is stubborn and non flexible with classwork, just the deadlines.
Sharif is one of my favorite professors! Ive had him for two Ling. Courses. Yes, the workload is heavy and there is a lot of writing. But, take in consideration that some classes are Upper Division therefore, the intensity of the course is higher. He is very disorganized and eccentric but, quite fair when grading. Theres a method to his madness.
He is very unorganized. At the beginning of the semester I was stressed because I didn't know what to do. He isn't clear. He does let you do remakes if you do bad in an assignment. I just followed the schedule that is posted in the syllabus to know what I have to do every week and when it is due. Don't have to meet up for zoom.
Sharifi's rating is low for a reason. Do not fool yourself into thinking his class is easy, especially online. Extremely disorganized, he has students create presentations and discussions in lieu of his own lectures. We basically teach ourselves while he does nothing. His content is very old, he's unable to adjust to online teaching and it shows!
Sharifi means well & is understanding, but it is clear he is having trouble adjusting to the online learning environment like most students & teachers. The class is a bit unorganized so I recommend having a group chat. The work is definitely doable & he allows resubmissions if you are unhappy w/ your grade. However, you basically teach yourself.
Dr. Sharifi is a light in the darkness.
The class has no deadlines and he is an easy grader. On that note if you are a hard procrastinater you shouldn't take this class cuz although he has no deadlines there are some pretty heavy assignments. Lectures are a joke n you won't learn much. Aside from that do the hw and you'll easily pass with an A.
I would never take this professor again he is so disorganized and the assignments are very hard he was not helpful at all the class time was waste and he is very hard grader I do not recommend taking him because he expects alot
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR. His class was extremely disorganized. Every assignment including the midterm and final will be graded near the end of the semester on top of it being graded incorrectly. This class will seem like 5 units from the workload. You have to teach everything yourself. He takes up half the class time talking about unrelated things.
Sharifi is very kind and very lax with grading. No firm due dates. That being said, he's unorganized and class time is a joke. Be prepared to learn the material on your own. There are three projects that sound harder than they are. You can work in groups or individually. He asks you to present the project but doesn't grade the presentation. EASY A!
No deadlines and is an easy grader. Great right? Not really. Seems as though he struggles with online learning and is never clear with what he wants from the class. Disorganized and expects too much. You are teaching yourself. On hindsight, the work is a lot easier than it seems but only if you understand what he wants to begin with.
all i have to say is, DONT take his class unless u wanna feel extra stressed. not only does he give so many unnecessary assignments, but he doesnt even look at them. although its nice to get a perfect score, whats the point in doing the assignments. its there for busy work! so many papers, so many useless discussions. hes an incompetent guy!
Please avoid taking this class. At first it seemed like an easy A and it is but there is a lot of assignments and group projects so manage your time well and don't fall behind. He is unclear with directions, never answers student's questions clearly, and didn't grade most of my assignment that I turned in and wouldn't answer any emails.
While he is a very lenient grader, hw takes hours bc each assignment is basically a paper. He is terrible at communication and offers little to no help when answering questions in class. He requires you read the chapters before class yet the entirety of the class is what was in the chapter. You are given no instruction on expectations for hw.
He's great. He's super chill and funny. You set the deadlines for your papers, just make sure you turn them in towards the end of the class. Be engaging in class, he'll remember you. Honestly, if it weren't for the amount of work he gave us, I'd rate him 5 stars. He's relatively an easy grader compared to others. If u're not getting A's, ur an idio
Prof Sharifi is kind, caring, & a lenient grader. The organization of the course docs, due dates, & assignments was bad, though. This class is interesting but covers some dense reading. My class made a discord where we kept each other in check over misunderstandings/due dates. Prepare to observe a class & write an ethnography paper on it.
One of the rudest "professors' I have ever had. However, he was lenient with homework.
He is unorganized however is VERY flexible with due dates. There is a lot of work in the beginning of the semester but if you keep up you will be fine. He has a different personality but he cares!! Once you get used to his unorganized assignments and due dates, this class will be fun.
Professor Sharifi was a great professor although he had some flaws. In beach board, a lot of the things were NOT clear and if you asked him, he would try and explain, but often would leave you more confused. Though there was extra credit and he was quite funny! I do recommend taking one of his linguistics classes as he is very intelligent.
I actually really enjoyed his class. He is clearly into linguistics and he knows about the topic. He gives you 3 essays which he grades harshly but it balances out with the homework and with his willingness to give extensions. Quality assignments seem to be more important to him than them being turned in on time. He is a very nice professor/person.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. He honestly has no idea what he is teaching. He clearly doesn't know how to run his own class either. Me and my friends basically taught ourselves this entire semester. Unless you are prepared to do a bunch of group projects that don't even make sense then I suggest you skip out on this professor.
I took this class because it was the only one that fit with my schedule. I would not take him again. He is a nice professor, but all he does is yap in class. He has a "scheduled plan/follows the syllabus" but really he just does lectures and talks on whatever topic that he wants to talk about.
Dr. Sharifi is an excellent teacher, I took him for LING 363 this summer which is an online asynchronous class. However, I don't think he knows how to use Canvas properly. There have been multiple times where he has assigned something to Canvas but with no option to submit anything or to write anything in the text box.
DEFINITELY TAKE PROFESSOR SHARIFI! dont listen to these people. they don't know what they're talking about. they're crazy. they're delusional. they don't know who he is like i do. i'm also typing this from the psych ward
these reviews scared me at first. i only took this class because it was the only one open, but he is actually sweet and cares for his students. the readings are LONG, but manageable. the ethnographic project makes up most of your grade and they are easy points. the exams are also easy, he gives you a week to take them and it is open book! trust...
Although he is an easy grader and lenient with due dates, class time would be used poorly. The material covered in class is not similar at all to the things in the mid-term and final- however he assigns them outside of class. Great discussions and character however has lots of trouble using tech and assigning repeat assignments.
Professor Sharifi's class can be a mixed bag. While he's a lenient grader, the heavy workload and lack of clear guidance can be frustrating. However, Unstuckstudy proved to be a lifesaver for study prep.
professor is super nice and funny but Jesus Christ there's too much homework which is not graded lightly might I add. on top of that attendance is mandatory and lectures are longggg and boring and you just listen to him talk. I had to take this class for credit and no others were available but avoid if you can.
Hes nice/silly. Lectures are so boring tho! Hmk graded lenient (10 hmks) & extends due dates. 2 essays are worth most of your grade but youre able to revise+turn it in again. Mid/final online but attendance is mandatory and it will be the deal breaker (BORING.) 2 cheap books that are mandatory (didn't get them tho and still passed lol)
super sweet. not to tech savy so most of class is sitting and figuriting it out. super understanding when it comes to late work. overall really amazing
you should take him, its easy.. I just don't like how he taught. It feels like I learned nothing, Ling 100 is the baseline of English. It's stuff we should've learned as kids, with barely any further depth into the subject. I swear we did the same thing repeatedly just in different formats.
It's not the worst class in the world. But it sure feels like the longest class in the world. I didn't really learn anything and barely tried on the homework's and I'm still passing with a high grade. Attendance is mandatory so it's rough. And lectures are sooooooo boring. But if you need the credit just take it.
His class is very boring, he talks slow, grades attendance, midterm was about the textbook that we didn't even read in class, hard to understand his long lectures, just puts videos, his class is easy, he answers emails and is usually available but idk man his class doesnt really feel useful. Not recommended...
loved him, super silly and nice. Hes a lil old so he talks slow, lectures can get boring, but the first half hr is spent talking w/ group + writing on board so feels fast to me. 10hw assignments, 2 essays-able to revise, midterm + final ez-able to do 2-3x, mc, online. grades attendance. ez class if u do ur work. u honestly u don't need the txtbooks
Good god this class was a waste of time. It was pretty difficult but if you put a bit of effort in you will be fine. I dreaded the class because it felt like an hour of talking about nothing. Dr. Sharifi is such a sweet guy and he does not take off late points, but I would not recommend.
Such a sweet and nice man very caring, loved his laugh. Lowk didn't understand how to use the computer, it was okay though. Only thing is his instructions were slightly unclear and he leaves grading to the last minute, on that note very easy grader. Just show up and do what you need and you'll get an A. ACCEPTS LATE WORK!!!
very funny dude, always said out of pocket things that made me laugh. he is super slow at grading but accepts all late work. not online savvy at all.
He's very sweet and honestly pretty funny but struggles a lot with technology (probs due to his age) His office hours were freakishly early and attendance is graded but honestly he's pretty great and this class is rlly boring but also pretty easy so
He is funny and clearly very intelligent, but his class leaves a lot to be desired. Attendance is mandatory & lectures are incredibly long/boring. Often unclear about expectations for work/deadlines, takes a while to respond to emails. I did like the collaborative group work that we did every class. Great guy but I do not recommend.
As a person, he's great, he's funny and generally nice, BUT as a professor it's another story... He's not good at tech or grading fast and responding to emails, and his lectures are boring, and his expectations are confusing. Attendance is mandatory, and textbooks are needed for class. Working in groups and having discussions was fun! Good luck.
Pretty easy class to get an A in, but the professor has kind of a polarizing personality, so beware of that. He also doesn't do a great job of explaining assignment criteria, or providing more details when they are requested.
Not tech savvy at all, made the homework hard to follow as it didn't go with lectures at all and was usually hard to follow. He's a sweet person but class felt like a waste of time due to the first 40 minutes being a free write and share
