Great teacher! Her online course was very interesting and instructions were always easy to understand. She responds to emails very quickly and definitely cares about her students. There are short quizzes every week, 3 exams and one 3 pg paper. She offers extra credit worth 3% too! Take her class!
I took two online classes with Dr. Wegenek and I highly recommend her. She is very smart, easy going , and very very helpful. TAKE HER...SHE'S ONE OF A KIND!!!!!!!
I TOOK TWO ONLINE CLASSES WITH HER AND HAVE TO SAY THAT SHE IS THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD.TAKE HER!!!!!!WEEKLY QUIZZES AND DB., AND 2 EXAMS. VERY HELPFUL AND UNDERSTANDING.
Take all of her classes. There's work, but it is fascinating & useful for anyone! Her style of teaching is effective, on point, a published author & she loves her job. She has gone above & beyond other professors. Her credentials speak volumes & serves to inspire. Shes AMAZING & sets the standard. All dead beat teachers should learn from her!!
She is absolutely amazing. When I was in her BioPsyc class she would bring in gummy brains for everyone, and she was very enthusiastic about her work. Take her!
Prof. Wegenek is the best on-line teacher that I have ever had. She is very clear, sticks to her syllabus, communicates, and gives extra credit. Do the work, and you will get a great grade. The book is essential because the quizzes you take at home are open book. A copy is in the library. I have signed up for two more of her classes.
SUCH A CUTE WOMAN.. SHE REALLY CARES ABOUT HER STUDENTS AND WANTS EVERYONE TO DO WELL. SHES WILLING TO HELP ANYONE.. TAKE THIS CLASS, HOWEVER ITS REALLY BORING
I've had her for 3 classes now. One being online abnormal psych. The others in class bio psych and research psych. She is very sweet, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about her work. Pretty easy as long as you keep up and study. She is very clear and concise about what she wants done, so just follow directions and you will get an A or B. Take her!
Wonderful teacher! The nuts and bolts of research is not the most interesting part of psychology in general. She helped make it more interesting, though. The research project toward the end, however, was fun, but a bit of work. She is very nice and friendly. She also is easy to contact and very helpful. You can tell she is dedicated to her students
Wonderful teacher. Really helpful if you ask for help. Took the online class, read the chapter each week & took all the weekly quizzes. Only 3 exams. Fairly easy class, but you will also learn a lot! Easy class to do well in.
She is wonderful, I really recommend her if you have a stressful person like me.Not easy class but if you work what she said you can do it because she do everything to your success.:))
I loved her class! Some of her exam questions were a little hard to understand and I got confused on a few, but she is fair, very helpful and extremely sweet! I highly recommend taking any of her courses.
She is great! The book was a little hard but she explain very well, so at the end it is no problem at all. She is very helpfull and fair.
This is a great class, take it with her if you can. This was my first online class and she was so clear, helpful and prompt to respond to emails. Having taken other online classes since truly makes me appreciate how great she is, she will help you understand anything you ask. Interesting class too.
She answers your questions very quickly and tries to help you anyway that she can. Took her online class and it seemed like it would be a lot of work, but it was very easy to handle. You take weekly quizes that aren't timed and have one project that is like a work book. If you have never taken an online course before she is a good one to start with
I took her online course and really enjoyed it. It does require your time and effort, but an A is achievable. There is reading each week, and to make sure you do it there's questions you have to answer online and get 100% completion each week. There are also discussion boards every so often, a wiki assignment, midterm, and final.
She's easy to talk to and very helpful when it comes to answering questions. Don't be afraid to raise your hand, if you have something to contribute. I passed with a high B, even though I'd never taken any sort of course in biology before. Take her class, if it's not full when you're registering.
Took the online class. Easy if you do the work. Highly recommend it. A good class to take online. Helped my schedule become more flexible.
I took her online class. It was the easiest class I had that semester. I really recommend the online class if you want an easy A.
Great teacher! Great class to take online. You read one chapter per week and take a reading quiz each week. You just go through the chapter and answer questions online. Only 3 exams, responds to emails quickly. Easy easy A if you do all assignments! Highly recommend as an online course!
She is very nice and wants you to do well, however she is not the most organized which can lead to some confusion. She was helpful with the research project, but vague when it came to describing what she really wanted in the paper. I did well in the class but I would take another professor if I could.
This was a great class. Professor Wegenek was super nice and helpful. The research project took a lot of dedication but there was time in class. Overall, I learned a great deal and was glad to have taken this class.
Great teacher, very helpful and clear. quizzes and exams were easy. Definitely need the book.
I took Abnormal Psych online. The class work consists of weekly reading, discussion board, and online homework. Three tests and no final exam. The tests questions were taken from readings and videos. The information is pretty straightforward. As long as you follow the instructions and do the work you will get an A.
Lame that you have to buy books with the Wiley plus codes. okay class.
Online class was great! Super easy quizzes that were straight from the book and she was very clear on requirements for the final project. Only had small quizzes online, a midterm, final, and final project which was hard to fail if you actually tried. This class kicked off my interest in psychology.
There are weekly learnsmarts and discussion boards. You only need to make a main post and reply to one other student. 3 exams which are cumulative. The class is easy to get an A in and the material is interesting. She sends out weekly emails and reminders to complete assignments. Offers an extra credit discussion board at the end of semester.
Professor Wegenek is definitely an attractive woman, wouldn't classify as hot Though. I took her hybrid class as in both online and in class meetings. Everything is done online from your quizes, exams, discussions boards, and lecture slides as well as where you turn in your final project. Easiest A I have ever gotten in college, recommended.
Most helpful, friendly, and understanding professor I've ever encountered. She's here to help you, so don't be afraid to communicate. Assignments and discussion boards are to the point and easy enough to do. Tests are reasonable- I got two A's and one B just by skimming through the chapters.
OMG, amazing teacher. I took her Spring 2015 online Psyc 37 class and loved it! She responds quickly to questions and willing to help. Class was very clear. Tons of fun busy work, interesting YouTube clips, and the overall layout of the class was excellent. Enjoy
Dont take unless u want to teach everything urself. No lecture videosall reading. 3 tests, weekly quizzes and discussion posts. The posts and quizzes are easy. I was excited to take this class but ended up hating psych bc the whole class was reading without any help from the professor. everything is on WileyPlus, all she does is grade the posts.
EASIEST CLASS IF YOU JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS I haven't seen anyone who's as good as Prof Wegenek in not only just replying emails, but also communicating through to completely resolve any problem. It was my first online class so I was so confused throughout, but whenever I had troubles profs always there helping me out! thank you prof3
Took abnormal psych in summer school online-- Due each week is a discussion board post, a reply post, and the learn smart connect. You get full credit for completing this. 3 tests- clear cut. offers extra credit in the end. GRADES ARE ALWAYS UPDATED QUICKLY! I don't think I ever opened the book, and it was $200.
I took summer 8 week class, very easy, need to read to pass 3 exams, weekly discussion posts, no papers to write, fun videos to watch and simple quizzes on Wiley. Ms Wegenek responds to emails fast. Got an easy A, I am taking another class she teaches, as I know what to expect.
I didn't really get much out of this class. Easy A, I guess. But pretty boring teacher. She seems nervous
This class is a requirement for Psych majors. It has a lot of tough material, but she has interesting lectures. She gives lots of extra credit and curves all her exams. The exams were easy. I enjoyed her class and learned a lot!
Literally easiest class ever. 10 discussions and 3 exams final isnt cumulative. Was taking 5 other classes with this and got an A. Just keep up with wiley deadlines almost missed one. Teacher sometimes emails back. just take her so easy
Discussion board posts due every week (one post, one reply). Weekly chapter quizzes. 3 or 4 section tests, no final. Replies to email within a couple days. Really lenient on grading & getting stuff in on time (just make sure to email her if something isn't showing up in Blackboard & she'll correct it). Clear grading system and updates grades often.
Professor Wegenek was such a great teacher! Super easy and laid back!!
Professor Wegenek provides a great class atmosphere and is crystal clear. Her online quizzes are easy and you're allowed unlimited amounts of attempts so that helps a lot.
Professor Wegenek is amazing! She truly cares about her students and knows what she's teaching. Her lectures are clear and online as well. The hybrid class is really easy. She just lectures for an hour and the rest is all online. Quizzes/Tests are super easy; don't even need to study. Offers A LOT of extra credit! This class is an EASY A! ;)
Pretty straight forward class. Weekly chapter with online questions and videos. Three tests that aren't too difficult if you complete the work. Dr. Wegenek is very helpful if you need it. Interesting class, would recommend taking it with her.
Amy is the nicest professor I've had at Saddleback. Also, she is really smart and knows her stuff. I wish she taught more classes at Saddleback. I'd take them all even though I'm not a psyc major. The quizzes are easy, but the exams are pretty tough. Make sure to take notes during the videos because there are questions about the video on exams.
Easiest class ever. Weekly chapter quizzes, but you get 100% as long as you complete them along with the discussions. 3 exams, but if you read your textbook, you'll pass with an easy A.
This professor is such a superstar! She is very caring and shows interest in hearing about her students. A lot of relevant and practical knowledge came from PSYC1 and the reading is filled with a lot of interesting information. EVERYTHING can be done with the book by your side, which makes this class a breeze. I definitely recommend the course.
Probably the best teacher I've had by far. Learning Lectures/Modules, Weekly Discussion Boards and three exams. Read your textbook and you will do just fine in the exams. I thought the discussions were fun. This teacher is good in responding to your E-mails in a timely manner. Great Prof!
She is very down to earth and she explains things in a way that is very easy to understand and keep up with. She also makes the class fun.
Took hybrid class and barley ever showed up to class and passed. Super nice teacher and told us on the first day she doesn't care if you don't show up she won't drop you. Highly recommended buying the book as we would use it everyday. Rented the $95 book and haven't used it once. Otherwise great teacher. Easy A!
Took the hybrid class which was easy. She's really laid back and funny, which makes the class interesting. Easy A kind of class.
Nicest and sweetest prof. I have ever met. Her lectures are very entertaining and informative. She is also funny. Truly passionate about the subject. Her test are not hard nor easy. She is an easy A because she gives you so many easy ways to boost up your grade. So if you want an A and to learn a lot about psychology. Highly recommend her!
Great professor. If her class isn't full then definitely go with her. Very kind and easy to understand, and very funny. Makes me want to continue studying Psychology.
Amira is the best teacher there is. Biggest heart and genuinely loves teaching about psych. She makes the class interesting and is always happy. She offers to help you if you are struggling and cares a lot about her students. TAKE AMIRA WEGENEK.. i would take her again if i could
professor Wegenek is a good teacher and a sweet heart but, I personally didn't fall in love with her teaching style. She has some trouble with staying on topic. I believe she is a good teacher but everyone takes in information differently.
Great teacher. Easy assignments but also very interesting. I am majoring in psych and wish I can take all my psych classes with professor Wegenek. Grades fairly, and really wants to see her students succeed!
I took this online class more out of interest than for my degree, and now I am thinking about changing my major! Abnormal psych is fascinating, and this class got us through almost all of the chapters in the book. 8 week class online DB post + reply (1-2) & 40 Q assessment per 1-2 chapters every week + 3 50-60 Q M/C exams. Have the book handy!
Took PSYC1 over the summer, was an extremely easy and interesting class. It was made up of 4 50 question 100 point tests, weekly discussion posts, and a 4 page final paper on a psychology topic of your choice. Tests were completely open note all multiple choice, and there was no final. Overall great summer class, read the book and you'll get an A.
Overall her class was pretty good. The discussion boards were interesting, and the additional videos (some were pretty long while others were short, funny ones) were a great resource. As long as the textbook is by your side, you're fine. The paper at the end of the semester was pretty easy. Her grading criteria is clear.
I took this as a hybrid class and I think it was decent. You are required to do 4/5 discussion topics in order to pass the class but they're easy points. There's only 4 tests and she drops the lowest grade but there is a lot of material to cover, so you have to study. She tries her best to make the lectures relate but some topics are just hard.
For an online 8 week class she is very reasonable with the amount of work given. You can tell she is very passionate and gives good feedback. Class includes reading, open book quizzes, discussion boards and open book test. Only way to bad in the class is if you don't do the assignments.
I took the hybrid class (100% recommend). Honestly, Professor Wegenek is amazing. She's funny, nice, and caring. As long as you put in some work, you will get an A. Make sure you look over the powerpoints and outline/read the assigned readings in the online textbook, you'll get an A. Mostly study the definitions at the end of each reading.
Impossible to do well in this class.
The material is really easy, read the book and do the discussion boards but BEWARE the exams, there are 50 questions multiple choice trick questions. You cant change your answer once you pick one, and unfortunately for me I was only a couple points away from a good grade due to the last exam so I emailed her and got a NO weeks later....
This class was intersting. Be careful on the tests, as they account for a large portion of your grade. You also have a term paper that you should start as soon as you can. Overall a good class.
This professor was great. She made every assignment straightforward and the class was very easy. If you do the work and discussions, you will easily pass with an A. The points were limited but she also CURVED the entire class to boost our grades. 1 research assignment which u could choose your own topic on. I would definitely recommend her class!
Almost every week the only assignment was reading, which it isn't needed to pass the class. The few discussion boards were short, yet interesting. The course paper takes work, but it's manageable. The tests were not too bad either, as most questions could be found in the book or online. Professor Wegenek takes a while to grade things, however.
Took the hybrid class. There were lots of readings, videos, a discussion board before each exam, and a semester project. She provides a book online so you don't need to purchase one. 4 exams, 50 multiple choice (and sometimes 5 extra credit questions from lectures). Easy A as long as you do the readings and go over the lecture notes.
I took the Summer Hybrid class. It was super fast and I would say easy if you do the work! I would definitely take another class!
I took the online summer class and it was a breeze. You need to read your textbook since there aren't any powerpoints, but the subject matter is enjoyable. The class isn't very content heavy so don't worry about spending all your free time on it. Sent a few emails to the professor and she seems very friendly and kind. Would suggest this class!
I took PSYC 1 online during the summer as an eight-week class. You do end up using the textbook as well as having to read few articles mostly videos and discussions. Tests and quizzes are multiple choice make sure to take notes from the text and any other information that is shared.
Good online teacher. Homeworks consists mostly of online discussion posts and one writing assignment. Exams are slightly hard even though there is open book. Do the work on time and you will succeed. You do need the textbook for readings. Halfway through semester with a 100%.
Wegenek is a kind woman who is well informed but sometimes a little timid during lectures. However, her lectures were interesting and she gave little hw. I found her tests a little difficult but as long as you study, you should be ok. She is willing to help you if you are struggling but this class was relatively easy. I'd recommend her for psych1
This is an easy course. Each week includes 1-2 DB posts and a quiz. The quizzes include reading a section online and then answering questions repeatedly (you can look up the answer). She has 3 tests but you can reference the online book in another tab. She gives full credit for basic DB participation. 1 EC chance is available for a 3% increase.
Homework consisted of reading the chapter and answering questions about it, along with a discussion board once a week. We had 3 exams. To study, I made flashcards as I went through the homework. I tried to have most of the terms memorized before the exams so I wouldn't run out of time while taking the timed exams. Each exams worth 100+ points.
It is imperative that you read the textbook and lecture slides, the tests are based on them. If you have a book voucher, get that sorted with SC bookstore beforehand. She doesn't provide them a book order so they will have to hunt the book down for you. If anything happens email her. Overall a great teacher, her online class in setup great.
There is a lot of reading work, don't fall behind, the tests are based on it(there are only 3). Do the discussion posts too. She has only one essay for the term. Email her if anything happens. Her online class is set up great. I took psyc37 with her too. She is great. You can visit her during office hrs too.
I could tell this professor had a busy life outside of class. She is a very nice woman and she knows a lot about psychology, but her organization is not quite ideal. Grades take a while and sometimes are put in wrong or out of order, making the end of the semester stressful. Class was pretty easy, but I just prefer a different teaching style.
Very clear directions with discussion posts, reading the lecture notes and studying for tests which are worth 100 points and come straight from your understanding of the material. If you want to do well on tests focus on the many sample cases scattered in the lecture notes and that should help you get an A. Extra credit also provided in the end.
This is literally the easiest online class I have ever taken. It was an 8 week online class with 1 discussion board every week, 4 tests spread across the semester, and 1 bonus discussion at the end for extra credit in case you missed one. No papers, projects, etc. took maybe 10 minutes per discussion and tests aren't bad at all!
10/10 recommend this course online! As long as you keep up with all the assignments every week you will do very well. The textbook online is required and is $90 I believe. The textbook only has you read the information that is important. Weekly assignments and homework is an easy 100%. Tests are easy as long as you read and go over the notes.
If I could take all her courses I would, honestly best professor at Saddleback. In my two years of being there I have never actually looked forward to a class, or hoping to take another course with another teacher. She is very helpful, and her lectures are very easy to follow along with. She is also has a very good sense of humor.
All of the week's assignments are supposed to be posted on Sunday night, but most times the assignments are actually posted as late as Thursday. It is extremely frustrating & makes planning ahead very difficult. The textbook & included program was $60 and doesn't even work half the time. It's a pretty straightforward class, but very unorganized.
DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE. Had her for fall 2019 and her class was so disorganized and she wasn't on time with anything. Good luck getting an email back from her. She said her exams were out of 100, in the gradebook it's out of 200. She doesn't know how to use canvas and your grade will suffer. waste of my time.
NOT TOO BAD, REALLY LIGHT HW
The lectures have almost little to none to do with the actual tests that she gives. All of it was mainly through the textbook that she did not mention that we needed to use at all during the semester. My entire class was doing awful and she is not on top of grading until the very end.
Don't even bother looking for another Psych teacher. She wants you to pass, she wants you to understand. Engaging lectures, sometimes off a powerpoint but mainly writing on the boards *with* you. She doesn't erase things quickly, you have time to copy things down without rushing. 4 tests throughout the semester and she drops the lowest test grade.
completely diff experience online than in person - hence the extreme opposite reviews. Youll pass with an A if you intensely study every chapter on your own - the Professor was no help - doesnt know how to properly post tests so she lost our first exam we took & didnt post grade for like 5 weeks, just gave everyone an A. Scary but worked out lol
Best psychology teacher ever! Tests are straight forward and the lecture material is very interesting and fun. This was a class where I was never bored and learned a lot to help me with my career. Take this professor if you can.
One of the nicest and most thorough professors I have had. If you do the reading, participate in the (easy) discussion topics you will sail by easily enough in this course. Professor always provided solid feedback and responded to emails very fast. You can tell she is passionate about the material and her students success.
she is a great professor. I took this class in summer and I got an A. there are 4 multiple choice exams.
Professor Wegenek was a great teacher! I loved the class. I had some technical difficulties with an exam and she was extremely understanding. Definitely recommend!
Professor Wegenek is super organized and has the clearest grading. She also is constantly sending out reminders on upcoming due dates witch I liked a ton and helped a lot if you forgot to do something. 100% recommend Professor Wegenek.
Honestly, we've all been online for a year now and this professor has failed to post weekly discussion boards on a regular basis. To make it more annoying, she posts announcements from her family hiking trips/vacations. Everything else revolves around the McGraw-Hill ebook, including exams. The ebook is good but the professor doesn't do anything.
Super easy class and VERY nice teacher! Weekly quizzes and discussion board. Maybe three exams total throughout the semester which are super easy. Flew by easily, not a class to stress about and shes super helpful if you need it. 10/10 recommend.
JUST TAKE HER!!! DB's and One Reply. Lecture Videos of Ch. Overview. HW Quizzes every wk. Practice Test. 4 EXAMS Total very easy if study. Reflection (3 Q) at end of wk!! Take her You won't regret it!! Dr. Buma is a great teacher and gives great feedback!!
Professor Buma was no question one of the BEST professors I've ever had. I took her 8-week course and she was doing whatever she could to help us understand the concepts better! She is light-hearted and cares, wanting her students to succeed. Do the reading and the assignments and I almost guarantee an A.
Professor Buma was the sweetest! I took her 8-week class and she was always accessible through email. The class was straightforward and there was not a lot of work. She cares about your wellbeing and gives extra credit. There was a DB, a reflection assignment, and a homework assignment each week. There were barely any tests. Take her!
Prof. Buma is one of the best professors I have had. Even though her classes are asynchronous, she is the kindest person and genuinely cares about her students.. She is quick to respond to emails and she answers questions thoroughly. I am a psych major and have taken her for every psych class that is required for me. LOTS of reading so free up time
Professor Buma is a great all around person. It was such a pleasure to be in her class. If I see her in a future psychology class without hesitation I'm signing up ASAP.
Professor Buma is not only a great teacher but she's also a great person. To me that matter. Having a professor that's good and caring is a great combination when learning. If she was to offer more psychology classes I'd sign up in a heart beat.
This was my second class with her and she's great. It's an online textbook with assignments in it. There's a test every week but you get full credit regardless of how you do. Discussion boards are easy as long as your familiar with the terms. Exams are 3-4 chapters at a time, even the final was on the last 4 chapters. Great class!
this class was such a breeze! I didnt really read any of the chapters since most of the answers to the HW quizzes and exams were easy to find i got As on exams just by doing that. u only have to do really easy short discussion boards & hw quizzes each week. 4 total exams worth 200 pts each but u can find the answers pretty easily. EASY A! TAKE HER!
Very easy class. All quizzes and tests are open note so you can find everything online. I would definitely take again. This class didn't cause any stress just because the expectations were very clear.
Async online. Got a B. Absolutely no contact w/instructor. Does not even reply to emails asking for help. Terrible communicator. Class wasn't super hard, BUT if you actually need to learn the info, like if it's your major, take a different prof. Learned nothing and didn't get feedback or questions answers. Do your job, prof!
she is so nice and funny. she keeps class lighthearted and wants to make sure u understand the materials so she gives you so many examples. u can just tell that she loves her job. she does take a while to grade, but does not grade super tough. she wants everyone to succeed. would definitely take another class with her.
Very slow grader. Tests are easy if you do all the reading. Professor is nice, however lectures are quite boring and tend to get off topic.
We used WILEY plus, as it was a hybrid class. Hw was light, just discussion posts. There's a quiz review after each chapter but based on completion. Tests were created by WILEY plus so there were some tedious questions. She answers emails quickly. 4 exams in total. no essays. sometimes it felt like the chapters were fast paced but p chill overall
Awesome professor! She's extremely nice and friendly. Hybrid course using WileyPlus. We had class once a week. The first test was in person but then she switched the rest to online. She also drops your lowest test score and accepts late submissions for discussions and homework :) Take her if you can!!!!
Taking this class was overall easy. Weekly discussion posts with replies to peers and weekly quizzes. You must purchase the online textbook which is $100. Only 4 exams in total and the 4th exam is the final. Get ready to read!
This class was super easy, there are 4 exams and discussion boards due every week. There is online homework assignments through the online textbook that are easy too. It is kind of hard to reach her outside of class but this class was very easy to manage.
Chapter hw is so easy, takes less than an hour to complete. You don't really need to read the book to complete her assignments. All answers are accessible through quizlet, her course is extremely easy. Her discussion boards are quite interesting and I learned a lot overall. Some weeks you don't have assignments and she offers lots of extra credit.
The in-class lectures were somewhat engaging but the main issue with this class is the overall structure and the professor's way of teaching. The second half of the semester was filled with several exams spaced very closely and there were never any substantial resources to study. She even cancelled class before and of the final exam.
Tests are pretty easy if you read textbooks I figured that out on the final. Pretty easy class and light work load with a lot of extra credit. Doesnt respond to emails very well but decent teacher would def take again
My only B. Professor could barely, if ever get reached. Lectures were repetitive and useless. The class AVERAGE on exams was a D. Lost any and all interest in psychology because of this class. I would recommend finding a different professor or taking this class entirely online.
Shes a great teacher. Always provided feedback on discussion post. LOve her.
I took this class last semester and it was pretty easy. I recommend reading the book to get ready for the tests because the questions were fairly simple and most of the answers are in there. The only thing I hated about this class was the weekly quizzes and how she took forever to open assignments.
Prof. Buma is so sweet and caring !! She made the course very fun to learn about. She offers extra credit that is very fun to do and helped me understand the content better. Her expectations are clear which made it easy to focus on the content, as it got complex at certain points. I 100% recommend her if you plan to take biopsych :)
Constantly messing up grades and terrible at replying to emails. She also puts no effort into the class whatsoever. I would never recommend someone take a class from her.
I've taken at least three psych classes with Prof. Buma. I love how caring she is. Each of her classes are easy to follow along. She grades fairly. She responds to emails quickly. I've enjoy every class taken with her. Two chances for extra credit.
The online portion was pretty good and the adaptive quizzes were also a nice thing to use for my studying. Although the professor spent a good 85% of class talking about her personal life and the other 15% going over the slides and it was tough to learn through her. Be prepared to teach yourself practically everything when taking this course.
Professor seems nice but class is unnecessarily more trouble than it's worth. Textbook was suddenly required, canvas was not prepared during first week, and all discussion responses has to be recorded as videos (not written). First exam was also said to be multiple choice but had a lot of short answer q's that was unreasonable for the time limit.
Her attention is either elsewhere or she really doesn't care. All her lecture and test is through that textbook site so not sure how she doesn't have the time to give clear direction for things she need to. Very poor communication skills and unnecessarily confusing class. Material isn't hard. The teacher is making the class difficult.
The class has a lot of online components, but the professor's teaching style can be hit-or-miss. unstuck study was a great study aid alongside the textbook. Overall, a manageable course if you put in the work.
One of the best professors I've had at Saddleback. Her course is clear, organized, and full of meaningful content. She's responsive, encouraging, and genuinely cares about her students' success. If you put in the effort, you'll do great. Highly recommend her class!
Lots of textbook reading and memorization in this class. There are 4 tests that determine most of your grade but are all multiple choice. As long as you start homework early and study on your own time, you will do well in this class!
