Amit is definitely the best math instructor i've ever had (and one of the best teachers I've ever had period). He ties in real world connections to each concept and is thorough in his lectures. The combination of lecture and group work really helps me learn. He's also great about answering ?s and responding to emails. And he's cute!

It's his first semester at SAC and I'm honestly so glad I took him. If you need additional help, he'll go over it or you can come to his office hours. The hw he assigns are really short, 20 questions per section max. He usually gives group quizzes and you can come during office hours to make test corrections. I hate math, but he made it enjoyable.

math 84 is a long class (3hrs) with a lot of work but amit really made it doable. he was always there to help and went out of his way to make sure i was keeping up with my work and doing okay. a lot of times his lectures were way more understandable than the online lessons. im hoping to take him for 140!

the only complaint I have about Amit is that he is not teaching 150. it makes me sad that i won't have the chance to take another class with him. He made me feel like he really cares about my grade and my success. He was so helpful, patient, and he's just a genuinely good person. He is an amazing teacher and works hard to help you do well.

Amit is honestly one of the best professors I've had at SAC. He is super helpful when it comes to a chapter that you don't understand. I think at one point he helped me for almost every problem on the homework, and he was so patient with all of us. He makes class super fun by playing music and just joking with us, the 3 hour class flew by.

Failed 84 during fall and took it during intersession. I was dreading a 6 hour class. BUT, i'm SO glad I took it with Amit. I love the way he structures his class. There's review every day, which helped me get more practice and get ready for tests. His explanations are also very clear and he's extremely patient.

Took him for intersession. plus the class was a mixture of Math 60 and math 080. so 64 weeks of lecture condensed into 4 weeks. He's a cool guy. Bought us food a number of times, that was pretty nice of him. Ask for help and he'll go out of his way to make sure you understand the subject. Would take again. He wants you to pass!!

I took trig with Amit during summer and he's the best math teacher I've ever had. Even though it was a long summer class it flew by and I learned a lot. He's not an easy teacher so if you plan on slacking off take someone else. If you put in work you will learn a lot.

He explains the material very well. He makes sure students understand the concept. His way of teaching is modern. He does a few jokes, a story, or random news while teaching the material. It helps to remember and to take a brief break from math. He makes math simple! I wish he taught Math150. Also, love the music he plays while we do class work.

He does a reverse or flip classroom where you take notes at home, he then reviews last nights lesson and you do homework during class hours. honestly he is a great professor lots of feedback, grades quickly, his test reviews are spot on. he doesnt just teach you he motivates you too

As someone who has always struggled with math, I highly recommend Amit. He's a great teacher and guy, super laid back, takes the time to make sure everyone is understanding the material before moving on, doesn't give an insane amount of HW but it is math. He does a "flipped" style where you watch videos at home before going to class.

I took him for Summer intersession 2018 ( just recently) for statistics. He told the class that he just learned stats, so he wanted us to be patient w/ him, but for teaching stats the first time. I must say he did a good job! I am a retake and did not understand it the first time as the professor was hard to understand. Amit was the complete opp!

It can be tough because there is a lot of homework, but he warns you. He always asks if anybody has questions and is always willing to work with you. I defiantly recommend him if your not a math person, he explains things throughly.

Firstly, I took a 5-week accelerated stats class with Amit so my experience may have varied from a typical semester. He has this great system of online lectures the night before the in-class lecture/assignments, this is really the gem of his teaching. He's great at explaining and answering questions. He's also a lot of fun during downtime!

Amit has been the BEST professor Ive had in my entire life. He changed my negative perspective on math mentally and intellectually. Not only does he motivate you but he teaches you to perfection. PRINT OUT THE WORKSHEETS BEFORE CLASS. Those are important. Review your notes and youll pass. If your lazy and dont try then youll fail the class.

Previously before this class, I had failed stats two times. Luckily Prof. Mishal turned it all around. I finished with an A+ in his fall class. I took a fast paced online Stats class with Professor Mishal. His modules were super well organized. I really like that he recorded his own lectures, and notes that go along with the lectures. Super helpful. His homework wasn't super long, and the tests were similar to homework. He responded to emails quickly. Great experience.

Online Class. Lecture and Homework are directly related, assignments are short, review practice problems before every class, lecture is swiftly conducted, leaving room for questions and homework time for the rest of the class period. I do not want to take math classes with anyone else after having had him as a professor. 10/10 professor, 10/10 guy.

I take this Math 180 in Spring 2023, professor is great. 2 homework every week and exam on each chapter. If you do home work, the Exam is will similar. If you stuck in Exam you can look back homework and know how to do it. I was afraid but study his class help me not afraid about Calculus anymore. Highly recommend.

Dropped Calc 3 times before but passed with a B+ in Prof. Mishal's async class during Summer (could've been A if I turned in some more hw). Course was super organized with hw & exam right on Canvas. Lots of attempts & late passes allowed for hw, instruction videos included for every hw question, exam every chapter, 2 discussions. Highly recommend.

Professor Amit is amazing. For the first time in my life, I actually enjoyed doing math. His lectures are great while you do his homework you actually think to yourself that you might actually use this math in out in the world. He genuinely cares and I appreciate Professors like him.

His course is very organized and all his lectures are laid out for you. There are notes for you and he lectures off those notes. I do like the way he teaches and found the courses not hard despite not liking mathematics. If you have to take it online, don't be afraid. I was for no reason but it was good!

Professor Amit is a perfect representation of what a math professor should be. Calculus 2 is already a tough class in it self, it doesn't need to be overcomplicated, cluttered with homework and exams weighing 95% of the grade. Professor Amit does the very opposite. The homework is clear, the pacing is doable, and the grading is very fair! 10/10 :)

One of the best professors ever class Calc 2 is already super hard especially trying to take it in 4 weeks he made it easy and homework is an exact representation of the tests so no surprises. Best math teacher I have had by far and its not even close.

Dr. Mishal is an amazing professor. He made the course very easygoing although the topics were difficult, and his lectures were very informative. His hw was based on the material we went over, and his exams were based on the hw. If you get something wrong in the exam you can show him your work and he is very generous with the EC. Do take him! Amazing professor. I took Professor Mishal for Math185 during Spring Intercession. His lectures were very clear, the class was very organized, and he was very easy to reach. There was lots of homework, but they were based on the lectures, and the exams were exactly like the homework. He even regraded if there were any grading mistakes.

Professor Amit had his modules very organized and his lectures were very thorough. The class was not difficult and very manageable, you just have to make sure to complete all the work that was given that week. Don't fall behind and make sure to study everything!

Took Amit over second semester while being a full time UCI student! Extremely doable class! Lectures were easy to understand and homework was very helpful and helps you for the exams/quizzes. He is a really good professor who answers all questions asked and truly wants you to succeed!

Took Professor Amit for Spring 2024. He's great! Starts class with an easy quiz. His lectures are on youtube and he goes over the notes in class more in depth for the first 15-30 minutes of class. Homework is online (5-20 questions). 3 exams & lets you have a cheat sheet. The final (4th) exam is optional - doesnt recommend (no cheat sheet).

I took Calc 1 with Amit and he is an outstanding professor. His notes are organized, he reviews every day to reinforce what we learned before, and he is kind and patient when answering questions. Amit's teaching helped me learn Calc 1 in depth and when I got to Calc 2, I felt confident in all the Calc 1 material.

I took him for Calc 2 and he is probably the best math teacher/professor I have ever had. I took his summer class so there were a lot of assignments but that was expected. His lecture videos are great as there's multiple videos but each video is 2-10 min long. He is very lenient with exams.Overall, he was amazing. #awesome

Professor Amit is an amazing instructor! I've taken him for Trigonometry, Calculus, and now Statistics. He's very caring, accessible outside of class, and explains everything clearly. He's patient with students who struggle and always ensures we truly understand. Highly recommend him if math isn't your strongest subject!

To the person below sounds like it was your fault for not being responsible and missing your test so how about you don't blame the professor. I had a great experience with prof Mishal. His videos were easy to follow, he had a lot of help features for homework problems and tests were similar to homework.

Professor Amit is an excellent math instructor. His clear lectures, fair grading, and helpful resources like Unstuckstudy make this challenging course manageable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to master Calc 2.

Statistics is not at all easy for me but he really does his best at teaching and I appreciate the grade he helped me get. He is also very understanding and doesn't have you spend money on calculators or website like others would.

I can't say enough about Amit. I have a learning disability and always struggled with math. Amit went out of his way to meet with me weekly for extra tutoring, gave me accommodations for exam, and was extremely kind, patient, and supportive. I wish I could take all my math classes with him.

I almost gave up on nursing because I couldnt pass statistics. My classmate recommended Amit and Im so glad I took him. I was nervous because I havent taken math in 13 years. Amit was so kind and warm and understanding, he made me feel safe to ask questions and helped me at every step. If you have to take statistics take it with him

Loved it! I'm an ESL student and had not taken a math class in over 7 years. Lectures were great and he provided enough time to complete the module. Everything you learn during lectures will be in the exam. Complete the homework sheets, follow the lectures, do the quizzes, practice, and you will learn and get a good grade! Would take again!

All I'm saying is it's an easy A. Make sure you actually watch the videos and use the hints; they're super helpful and you'll learn a lot from them especially if you have a learning disability!!!

I took Calc 2 online over summer after failing it last semester. Professor Amit was very organized, the workload was reasonable (even for a summer class) and there were help videos and detailed lectures. He was kind and met with me several times when I had questions. He also worked around my vacation and rescheduled an exam. Highly recommend!

Honestly, you can take the easy route and cruise by his class but you will be missing a great professor who enjoys teaching. I have never had such a teacher like him. If you take the time to study and work out the problems you'll be surprised how much you can learn with a great professor like him

i LOVED everything about prof amit's class. i loved the fact that i finished all my homework in class, was able to retake exams, his personality, humor, his patience, and him being understanding when my life got in the way. best math prof i've ever had

I would highly recommend Professor Mishal Amit. He offers extra time on quizzes and is very understanding if math isn't your strongest subject. I took his class online, and all of his lectures are on YouTube, which makes it easy to review them anytime. He does go a bit fast during lectures, so be sure to pay close attention.

Professor Amit is kind and patient. This is my 2nd time taking Calculus and this class was a very different experience than my last class. I felt comfortable asking questions and was always encouraged by Professor Amit. I loved finishing my homework in class and being able to retake my exams after studying the things I missed. 10/10
