If you're looking for a professor who loves what they do you've found the right one! You have to be willing to do the work and you can make an A! She will do everything she can to help you as long as you help yourself :-)

She is awesome! A very great teacher, very helpful. Oh and she is funny too. The labs were easy, no homework, the tests were easy to pass, and the book isn't really necessary.

I really liked Ms. Krishnaswamy's method of teaching. I had previously taken intro chem at a university and did not understand ANYTHING. It definitely helped A LOT that she went through EVER SINGLE STEP. Her reviews are like her test except different numbers. She's very helpful with the labs!

she was nice. she is very real, which might come off as rude, but she is very nice and down to earth. this teacher maqkes you EARN your grade, very little extra credit, how you do is how you do.

Wonderful, Wonderful teacher!! Excellent and straight to the point. Knows chemistry like the back of her hand. Has eye communications with her students and explains everything over and over. I took the Summer session which crammed 16 wks into 5 wks, which I thought would be difficult but it wasn't. Reviews are just like the test, exactly a like.

Teacher knows her stuff helpful but hard b/c she won't curve. Most students dropped yet not moved that people wasted money to register for class. Did my best, came to class on time yet had to drop b/c she made us cram most formula. Not moved by student?s concerns. Take her only if you are good in chem. or a science major you will learn a lot.

Prof. Krishnaswamy is an outstanding educator and is dedicated to her students success. If you are prepared to work and wanting to learn then you cant go wrong. If you're looking for a handout grade then run (not walk) from this class because its not going to happen. But if you want to actually learn chemistry then you couldnt pick a better teacher

Amazing professor! Best on campus! She's very helpful and explains everything very well. Actually lectures and doesn' just read from power points. She is too qualified to be an hcc professor and i highly, highly recommend her! Just study her practice exams and you're set for an 'A'.

I am not a chemistry person but kind of enjoyed going to this class. She makes everything so simple and gives lots help if you do not understand anything!! Very friendly too! The practice test is exactly what the real test looks like. Very possible to make an A.

TAKE HER FOR BOTH CHEMISTRY 1 AND CHEMISTRY 2. She is amazing and her lectures are really interesting. It's an easy A class.

She was a really good instructor. She teaches really good. You just gotta be there and take notes and pay attention and STUDY. If you have questions she explains really good. Its a lot of math involved. This class really makes me love chemistry, I am taking her again next semester. Great teacher!

she is a great teacher .all you need is to listen to the lectures, read the power point slides , and do the review. you will get an A . i love this teacher class was interesting and lab was fun, i would take her again.

There is "extra credit" meaning a bonus question on each test, but if you don't know it then it doesn't help. Other than that she does NOT give extra credit or curves on tests. She does explain material well & I will give her an A on teaching, but the tests were tough. Many dropped. You need to know chemistry before taking chemistry 1 with her.

I have not taken Chemistry 1411 and she is able to help me one on one in tutorials when I need it. The tests are not bad IF you study for a few hours and IF you did your homework. A thing that helps is if you look at the previous tests she has given in previous semesters(available online)(some questions are the same or very similar). Pay attention!

This is THE BEST proffessor so far in my life. She is very friendly. She knkws chemistry very well, you can tell that she enjoys teaching and helping students. She is strict though but only because she cares and wants us to make success. You come to her class you have fun and you learn a lot. Extra credit questions help a lot. THE BEST EVER.

gotta say my love for Chemistry comes from her class. She is getting PhD in education and KNOWS how to teach. Classes were hard though and she does not mess around. very loud voice almost like screaming and has strict boundaries so don't try to mess around with her. Gave good feedback and pushed me to do my best. Would take again.

Her lectures are quite extensive but she doesn't make you feel stupid for asking a question or to clarify something. She gives extra a bit of extra credit to help you out but she is a tough grader, (you must show your work!) but she's also very friendly and will help when asked.

Dr. K is a great professor. If chemistry is fresh in your memory then you should take her class - she KNOWS the material. I accidentally enrolled in this class instead of intro to chem and struggled. The labs and online work are easy and a perfect amount to force you to study. She replaces the worst test grade with the final grade if it's better.

Dr. Krishnaswamy is a great teacher as long as you ask for help and show up she will help you. She definitely knows the material. She will put herself before her students, Chem II is not an easy course. If you do not expect to do the work and put in the effort then maybe you should reconsider why you are here in the first place.

One of the best professor I took in all hcc campus. She is very clear and straight forward. She knows very well what she is teaching and makes complicated works really simple. She gives extra credit for all her test which gives more chances to succeed for even weak student.I took her for my chem 1411 and 1412 and I never had to study much at home.

Dr. K is a great teacher. She gives lots of examples. The only thing I had to get used to was her lectures are very thorough and intense. Don't let your mind stray, esp if you don't read the text. I read for the first half of the sem, then got used to her teaching style and didn't for the second half. Tests resemble the practice for the most part.

Professor Krishnaswamy is a real solid choice. In the online class, we didn't have any scheduled lectures but did have multiple help sessions before tests. She has great powerpoints that are clear and concise, and match what is on the tests. She responds very fast and kindly to emails, and is willing to help at any time. A great choice for chem.

If I could rate her it would be a 5/5, I almost missed my final because my laptop was stuck in lockdown browser from another exam. She extended it after a really swift email reply. Also you almost cannot fail this her lecture class, unless you dont do homework and attend class. Her teaching is ����A REAL ��! I hope to take her again in the future.

She can be kind of difficult. You really need to participate in class (she gets mad when you dont). She takes attendance every class so make sure youre there. She does amazing review sessions PLEASE GO TO THEM. I started doing a lot better in the class after the review sessions. She responds to emails quickly too.

I took Ammani Krishnaswamy for Chemistry 1. Based on my honest opinion, I believe she is a caring professor and wants her students to pass by giving out extra credit. Her homework was due every Sunday at midnight. For her Online Anytime class, she would give out notes, powerpoints, and tips on how to study for each exam. Exams were pretty easy.

One time, you gotta study. She makes time for you if you have questions. If i have professors that have 1/4 of the values of Dr. K have I'll be getting 4.0 gpa in college.

Dr. K is a solid choice. She does take attendance, even online, but has good lectures and is very accessible outside of class. She is caring and will take the time to explain concepts you may not understand. One homework per chapter and three unit exams plus a final. Final grade will replace a low test grade. All multiple choice. Tough but fair.

Long and heavy lectures, but explains very clearly. Easily accessible by office hours. Posts lecture notes and a ton of resources on canvas (quizlets, reviews, practice exams). Encourages questions. Her class combined with good study skills, it's very possible to make an A. Highly recommend.

The class is hard, but doctor K makes sure you learn every single material on the test. The most important thing you can do is join review lectures. Almost every question on the review is on the tests. I wish I had doctor K for my next chem class.

I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED A PROFESSOR WHO DEDICATES MORE TIME TO THEIR STUDENTS SUCCESS. Chemistry is hard and requires effort, but this professor provides ABUNDANT resource options and is always responsive and available and answering questions and sending reminders and doing everything possible to help you succeed. So valuable for a hard subject.

Dr K is a really good professor, she is very caring on everyone understanding everything, I took her for Lab and it was the best choice. She would even stay with you after the lab is done if you have questions. She is not super easy to pass and she cares a lot for attendance but even with that I would take her again.

Dr. K is accessible, helpful, devoted professor who can actually teach. The only thing left for her to do for her students is to go into their homes and do the work for them. She does her part, you have to do yours. This class was very hard. Don't move on if you don't understand something, reach out for help. Exam reviews are helpful.

honestly, a really good teacher and cares a lot about students doing the work and succeeding in class and out of class , just do not talk a lot because she gets irritated quickly

Dr. K makes herself accessible for the students. She replied your emails promptly, stayed after class and set up office hours to answer questions, and recorded the video. I have not met such a dedicated professor like her! If you study hard, you will get an easy A because she prepares everything for you. Take her if you want an easy life!

Dr.K is amazing! I had her for lab, however, she helped me learn chem better than my lecture teacher. She is very straightforward about what she expects. She is ready to answer all questions and help students. It was all group work based and her grading was very clear I loved being in her class. I highly recommend her!

WOW is all i have to say. She is absolutely amazing and puts her heart into these lectures which makes them very interesting. She literally provides you with all the answers and its up to you to study. She provides so many resources and lots of practice problems and tutorials after class. pls get her you wont regret it at all!

She really prepares you for the test I was never really good at chemistry and have a hard time understanding it but she made it really easy to grasp the concept

Great professor for a tough class. Do the homework and the study guides and you will get a good grade. She wants you to be successful and you can feel that.

Overall great teacher. The only issue is her grade split because exams are 50% which means if you fail and exam bad it'll be difficult to get a good grade. She does give extra credit for every exam as well as correction but only for the first exam. Also final replaces lowest exam grade.

I recommend you guys to take Dr K for Chemistry! Her care for students is like motherly, and she is willing to answer any questions you have. She has all the test reviews available and you gotta take advantage of them. Even though I got a C+, I thank her for the encouragement I will never forget. "Practice, practice, practice." Had her for Intro to Chem. Dr. K is really good for students who want to learn. Follow the rules and she's cool. She tutors after class too. Her accent isn't that strong and she's stern cause she wants you to do well. She clearly knows a lot about her subject and enjoys it. Her approach was very example-based and kinda reminded me of my mom lowkey.

Dr. K is amazing! Chem 1 is A LOT but she gives you the notes and lectures in a way that guarantees your success so long as you pay attention. She is so kind and caring and will go out of her way to ensure that u r successful in her class. It's 3 exams, HW 1-2x every week, and a dept. final. Gives old exams that help tremendously if used correctly.

Great professor, really knows her stuff and is passionate. She's tough and strict but willing to help. I had a terrible chem 1 professor but she did reviews and pointed out areas from chem 1 that should be reviewed to help in chem 2. Be prepared to do some work but she's a great professor overall. I would recommend her.

She is amazing! She is strict, but yet very organized. She uses all of her lecture time very wisely; so don't miss any classes! She provides many helpful resources and practice questions for exams. I knew exactly what to expect and when. She deserves more praise than I have room to write. If you are diligent, you will do well. Outstanding teacher!

She has stories that happen in the outside world to connect to the course for better understanding. with the math portion we would practice with her at first to get a good understanding then by ourselves to actually see if we got it.
