This Class required alot of work to get an A

This teacher is OK, he isn't the best. All he does is read from powerpoints but he does review information that will be on the lab/lecture tests. If you want an A make sure you study study study!

Professor Al Tahhan made learning A&P fun and interesting. There is homework & quizzes due almost every week through Pearson. You will need the book, lab book and pearson. Attendance is a must. Go over notes, pay attention and find a study group. I really liked him and wished he taught A&P II.

Take this class he is an amazing understanding professor of course you have to study and do your work but its a very passable class if you listen to his lectures and do the homework

You should take his class! If you show up on class, take notes, do your homework/quiz it is impossible to not pass the class, but if you want to pass with A be ready to study hard. Wish he can teach A&P 2, awesome professor !

Professor Ammar is an amazing instructor, he cares about the lectures he teaches you, make sure you understand, he teaches like we are actually in the human body, you work hard easy A, he gives reviews, you must read and study. Wonderful Professor!! I choose him based on previous reviews, which were very accurate. He tells you exactly what you need to know for the exams. I would definitely take him again.

If you have to take BIOL 2401, take this professor. He cares a lot about his students and will work with you if you put forth the effort. I got an A by studying-at least 10 hours of studying each week- and reading all chapters. This class isn't easy, but if you read and do your homework/quizzes (and study those hw/quizzes!)- you'll do great!

Amazing professor! Very intimidated at first but it gets better. Make sure you study or you won't pass. You will have 4 lecture tests, 4 lab exams and a final. Lecture tests were pretty challenging for me. Lab tests were a lot easier but requires LOTS of studying. Recommend 10/10.

An amazing professor, explains everything clearly, and does reviews for lab exams.

He is a very caring professor. If you dont understand something all you have to do is ask and he will break it down for you. He takes a while to warm up but once he does hes pretty funny. He will say you know nothing jokingly but he just wants you to dig down and try. A&P is a tough class but he makes it bearable. Youll have to study to pass.

Would definitely recommend this professor to anyone. He is very clear as to what he will be grading you on and what will be on upcoming test. The homework is also very similar to the tests so that helps out a lot.

Difficult class in general, lots of studying to pass lab and lecture exams. Pearson quizzes and hw are not overwhelming or time consuming. Reads straight from PowerPoint which are all available for you so note taking isnt crucial.

Very good professor, he goes over quick reviews before lab exams. Having the Pearson account helped a lot with studying for lecture and lab exams. Most of the questions from exams come from the Pearson homework and quizzes online!

He is a Great professor that makes sure you are prepared for the exams you take. He will tell you exactly what is going to be tested over and never throws any curveball questions. Lectures are straight from the powerpoint but still explains it in a clear way. All powerpoints are on D2L

Professor Tahhan is an awesome professor. He explains things thoroughly, is open to any questions and concerns. While doing lectures he will tell you what will be on the exam and gives out lab reviews he will also review some things over the lab exam before in lecture. I would definitely take him again!

He is very straight to the point and lets you need to know what exactly you need to do to get a good grade. Lots of lectures and extra studying but that is with any 2401 class you take. He gives a review for lab test & final exam but not the lecture test. I did have a hard time following his lectures so I would study extra from YouTube lectures.

This Professor was one of the best that I have ever had. I would have done better in the class if I had put the extra time an effort into it. However, he works with you. if you go to every class, you will get extra credit for participation. He will also give extra points just for answering his questions correctly. I would defiantly take him again

He is a great professor, but he will only help you more if you do your end of the part. Show up to class and be prepared to learn a lot in one sitting. Its easy if you put in the effort. He cares about his students and prepares you very well for the exam but it will only make sense if you study too. Highly recommend to take him.

Prof. Al Tahhan goes over everything thoroughly. I would use a computer/tablet for note taking on powerpoint. Makes it easier to know what to study. Lab exams have a review sheet that helps, but going to study in the science center helps more with visual learning. Showing up is important. Always do your mastering hw on time and before the exam.

This professor is amazing hes very clear and helps you understand what youre learning. You can tell he really cares about his students and makes sure he explains everything in a way everyone can understand

What can I say about this professor. He is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. I went through this semester being the toughest semester I have ever been through due to some personal things in life and he was more than accommodating to those needs. As a teacher, his grading is clear and he is very good at what he does. BUY LAB MANUAL!!!

He is one of the best professors Ive had so far! He knows what he is teaching and makes sure to explain things in a way that everyone can understand. He also has a good sense of humor which makes you actually enjoy taking the class. I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know that wants to take A&P 1.

Professor is amazing! I started this class feeling like I would fail but I stayed put and learned his teaching style and it is so helpful. If you need to take an A&P 1 take him and if you pay attention and come to class you will pass he will not let you fail if he see the effort!

Hands down the best professor I have taken. He knows what he is teaching and he has a great passion for anatomy and his students as well. He mentions the important points that might be mentioned on the test, also it's important to study the pearson questions online as well. Please take him, you will not regret it. Learning new words and functions is already hard and this professor just reads off the powerpoint during lecture and during the lab, he just tells you what MIGHT be on in the lab exams. You will fail the lab exams if you don't study and go to the study room to label models. You HAVE to study or else you won't pass. There is online homework as well.

There is a lot of content in this class however he tells you what might be on the exams. Make sure you do the hw/quizzes before the test since you might see the same questions. You have to study beforehand specially for the lab (study lab reviews) He gives great examples to help you understand also gives points to students who come prepared to clas

4 lecture exams, 4 lab exams, online hw/quizzes on pearson. Mastering A&P is the only things that is mandatory to buy. He puts up the the book info in ppt slides and the lab manual is only used for our notes. He gives extra pts in class for participation. No test reviews but will tell you during lecture what is important to know.

Professior Al Tahhan was an excellent teacher and got straight to the point during his lectures. He would go over the things that were specifically on the test and even hint out some questions that would be on there. During lab time, he would go over the necessary things and we would reveiw on our own (which was no problem). Make sure to study!!!

Excellent lectures and got straight to the point. He would also make medical references to engage us and help us better understand. If you ask him medical related questions, he will give you an answer because he is very knowledgable in the subject!

Do not take this course if you are going to have more than 2 classes. If you are taking 4 classes, then good luck. This class will need your full attention when it comes to studying. If you are going to take two classes then you should be fine. This class is hard but if you put your time to studying every single day, you will be fine.

If you need a professor to explain the materials to you well then he is NOT the one. Very monotone and he goes through lecture very fast. I would not recommend if youre a visual learner.

It was a very difficult class. He is very mean when it comes to asking questions, if you didnt know the answer, he would make you feel dumb. I would not recommend this professor.

Hes really nice and cares if you talk to him one on one. 4 lecture and 4lab exams. To pass his class need to study a lot. Lectures go pretty fast to write down so dont recommend to write revert single thing down but over all good professor.

Professor Al Tahhan is very caring and wants you to pass. Very long lectures but he makes them interesting. I just we had more time on tests. For example he gives 50 mins for 85 question test. Overall very good professor and would take again.

This professor was amazing! Class is extremely difficult so be prepared to study outside of class. No lecture review but he gives a lot of the questions on the test during class so dont skip.

I would highly recommend him!! A&P is a hard class but he make it as easy as possible. His lectures are awesome lots of pictures and videos, and hints for the test, he doesn't just read the slides and if you participate during class he will give you extra points. There is open book homework and quizzes and 4 lectures and 4 lab exams and a final.

Anatomy is a hard subject in itself, but Professor Altahhan makes it very simple to pass. Of course you have to put in the work and study, but test questions are straight from his lecture powerpoints, no book needed except for lab manual.

He is a funny and great professor. In general, a&p is difficult, so don't expect it to be easy. Make a group chat for the class, it helps. Make time for study groups. Record his lectures, take pictures of diagrams, take notes. The quizzes and chapter homework that he gives on pearson have a few similar questions on his exams.

i worn you guys, Do not believe all theses ratings, he ask for student to rate him for extra credit. Test are tough and Labs are tougher. I was taking only 2 classes at the time but this class alone was requiring all my attention. he is very rude and inconsiderate. Be AWARE

He was a very chill dude. Lectures were interesting, he told you what was important. He is very helpful outside of class too. Some of the questions on the lecture exam come from homework. You need to study!! This class and the teacher are totally worth it! Lab Manual helps study a lot.

Due to the shift from Pearson to MGH he goes over old book not the new one often he said its the same but ITS NOT.. lot to study and tough questions get ready to read I recommend him if you are taking only one class. This class demands way too much time btw keep reminding him to unlock hw with time

Dear God, where do I even start from? A&P is one of the hardest classes you might take. This class is for the extremely hardworking student. Professor Al Tahhan is a rare breed, he will walk you through the difficulty of this class. I looked forward this classes, he is so passionate and fun. You will have to give this class all you got though.

Prof. Tahhan very respected and knowledgeable about Anatomy unfortunately he was teaching from a book that was old version so most of students complained they have to multitask by following his lecture with the new book. I highly encourage you to read the MG hill book so you feel confident about the Exams and make sure you pass 4th Lect exam

Hes such a great professor but often he doesnt reply students email on time, have to keep reminding him to unlock assignments. All his lecture exams are tough and he doesnt let to see your EXAM grade on connect bc he gives a grade according to student personality NOT for who you are so be aware of that good luck !

Im a 4.0 GPA. This professor made my semester difficult to make an A, lots of quizzes that time isnt enough to A+, 4 lecture super heavy, 4 labs and the worse answers you can get from him I dont know sad to hear from him even though he says is MD & its the 6th year teaching anatomy. Muscle anatomy and nervous system he messed up going over.

He has a dark sense of humor instead of inspiring students he rather scare them w/ tough jokes about test content. Prof, Never promise things to the student u will not be able to accomplish. 4 tough lect exam Lab exams were fine hes very arrogant the way he express himself talking about formal questions he expects you go knowledgeable so good luck

Those good reviews probably were when class was in person bc hybrid he is awful. Self teaching, lot to read, and mainly trying to A+ his quizzes was hard only 15 mins for very tough questions its not fair, Lecture exams are very stressful. If he wouldve adapted to the new book would be great but had to multitask to pass this class wish u luck!!!

One of the best professors, if not THE best at Lone Star Cy-Fair. You can tell that he is passionate about what he does and that he cares about his students. He makes learning fun and I look forward to his lectures every week. Pay attention, study, and you'll be fine. He makes learning hard material easy. Thankful to be learning from him.

A very good In-Class professor. He makes an effort to make us laugh during class and he tries his best to make it interesting. It is very hard to make a 3 hour lecture very interesting though. I believe he needs a little more explaining in some parts of his class. I would take his class again but ONLY in-class and not online.

Great professor but you have to study to review your class, otherwise, you would not pass this class. He is really helpful about the lecture and grading. Also, he is got humour, so you won't be bored in the class. Overall, I would %100 recommend him if you will going to study by yourself after the classes for the class.

Was scared to take A&P but I'm happy I chose this professor. He was understanding and knows his material very well. We would meet once a week and I was able to connect with other students taking the class (y'all know who you are!) so it was helpful. It is hard, but he will try to help you succeed in his class as long as you put theffort in as well.

Dr. Ammar Al Tahhan is an amazing professor. He makes this class very easy to understand and is there to answer questions when you don't. A lot of information but an easy 'A' if you try and go to class. 4 Lecture Exams, 4 Lab Exams, Comprehensive Final, and multiple quizzes and homework. Take him for A&P 1, you won't regret it! He is a true GEM!

I thought all the reviews I read about this professor meant he would be amazing, It was all wrong. I understand that it was a minimester but still. On the final we only got 80 minutes to complete 120 questions which included labeling A LOT of diagrams. So he expects us to read and answer/label the questions in 40 secs to finish the final in time.

If you want to learn WELL about anatomy that 's the class you HAVE TO take, you need to study HARD. Highly organized & efficient in all materials & you learn A&P systemically . If you follow all provided materials, not only you will learn from depth but also will get a good score. Thank you Lonestar for providing such a knowledgeable professor.

Prof. T. is a great professor for many people! For me, his style of teaching is very difficult to learn. Of course, A&P is hard so you would need to do self-teaching outside of his lectures. But overall, if you are passionate about the healthcare field then you will do fine. He makes his lectures uplifting during a 3 hr lecture which I appreciate!

A&P is such a difficult class in of itself, but Prof T makes it more interesting & always relates content back to real patient cases from his own clinical experience, which is so helpful to remember bits of information. He's organized, assigns HW & 1-2 quizzes a week, & tests about every other week. Study hard & it should pay off!

Professor Al Tahhan is very organized and professional. His lectures are straight to the point and excellent. He covers everything you need to know to pass this class. I recommend taking him for ANY course that he's offering.

Hes a great teacher that really wants you to learn. He does his best way to answer any of you questions. He does take attendance every class period. I really enjoyed the class. I learned a lot and I wish he would teach A&P II.

I finally got my grade, and it was an A-. But this class requires so much time and effort. I was so stressed and lost sleep due to this course! This class made me want to change my major. Of course, it was not Prof. T.'s fault. I would say, he is one of the better prof. to choose from to take. But sadly, he is not coming back upcoming semester! :')

We had 4 Lecture Exams, 4 Lab Exams, and 1 Final Exam. Pretty standard to be honest for BIOL2401. Just make sure to communicate with Dr.A. He's willing to help if you're willing to communicate.

He is a very easy grader. lectures and what information you need to study is kind of hard to figure out but you only have 4 exams and 1 final

Honestly this was a great professor. He is accessible if you have a question. One time I accidently started a quiz thinking it was the homework assignment, and he was nice enough to open it back up for me to take when I was ready. Only complaint is that there is a lot of homework and quizzes on connect.
