Unlike most professors, he is very concerned with your comprehension. Explains quickly but stops mid-lecture to explain if necessary. Will come in early or late to tutor. And he tries to speak with ea. student when leaving class.

He is a very good teacher. His tests are very close to the homework. If I got an A, believe me, you can.

He's a really good teacher. I had fun in his class and I enjoyed learning math b/c I was comfortable asking him questions. He's very nice and understanding. He will do the best he can to help you understand the material.

From all the MATH teachers i ever had so far, Darrisaw is one of the best. He explains the material clearly, and very helpful to his students. I recomend him for anyone. A person who never had MATH, can get an A in his class. Best teacher!

Very up front easy class, gives practice tests exactly like real tests. Dont expect to get a lot of in-class teaching-he doesnt manage class time well. Gives takehome quizzes, credit for homework turned in. Hes very interested in students, will tutor you. Just help him move along in class!

Mr. Darrisaw is one of the best if not the best teacher of all. He explains everything clearly and has no problem reviewing things gone over previously. I was awarded student of the semester by him and I would take him for each math required if he taught them all!!!!!!!!!!

Knows his math, but doesnt know fashion. He could take a course on how to dress better. Anyways, he is very easy and VERY helpful. He Gives good notes and gives great handouts. Always late - but made up for it with good instructions

I took Mr. Darrisaw for Intro to Stats. He's at least 15 minutes late everyday and can be confusing at times, but always answers questions with respect and is always willing to help. He really wants everyone to make a good grade.

I dont reccomend anyone to take Mr. Darrisaw if they have to take math 98. He is an easy teacher but he does not prepare u for the compass or the final! Im warning people now he is easy but if you want to pass the final or compass try someone else.

Mr. Darrisaw is a good teacher. He stays after to help you, lets the students partiscipate and will go to the LTC lab with you to help you gain more materials. Yeah sometimes his brain scatters but he still is willing to stay after class or will allow you to come during the office hours to help you.

He is a trip. A good hearted man that does try his best and wants everyone to succeed. He can get frustrated easily and wants your undivided attention. But if your willing to try he is willing to help.

He was very knowledgeable of the material. He put forth efforts to make sure everyone knows the material. He is not cutthroat so he isnt gnna hold your hand n baby you. If you want it, its up to you to get it.

Mr. Darrisaw is a great teacher! He is one of the few teachers at GPC that actually want you to be successful. He will help you in whatever way he can. He actually keeps his office hours, and will be more than glad to help you one on one if you go see him. He really cares! But you do have to put forth the effort.

Prof. Darrisaw is GREAT! Those people that had bad things to say about him prolly never went to class. He will explain the same equation 5 or 6 times until everyone understands it. He breaks things down very elementary. This was my second time taking this class. The first time I made a "D" with another professor and in his class I got an "A"

Professor Darrisaw is not the most organized person, but he is passionate about math and it shows. You HAVE to go to class, take good notes and let him know if you dont understand a concept. He will not 'hand out' any grades, but will work with you to grasp the material and pass the course. Don't expect a free lunch from him...I would recommend!

Very knowledgeable and passionate about math but he is not organized at all! He doesnt understand the concepts that he teaches you half of the time and he is very scatter brained. What i can say about him is that he will teach the same thing over & over again until everyone gets it. I wouldnt take him again though, too unorganized for me.

Most of the comments are true. He is easily detracted, unorganized and very apologetic. He genuinely loves to teach but he's just not good at it. I thought he would be an easy A but for me he made stat more complicated. A previous stat instructor i had was tough but thorough. I learned more form her in 2wks than i did in a semester from Darrisaw.

Prof Darrisaw, is a great teacher. He gives study guides for every test and explains the material well enough for people to understand his teaching methods. He may take a while to grade your quizzes and test but if you would talk to him, he can tell you what kind of grade did you get. He is a great professor, take his class.

This professor is a genius. He's somewhat all over the place, but will put the time in to help his students, and give study guides to study over before the tests. I took him in Math 98, and never regretted it. Take him. He's awesome.

Professor Darrisaw is an awesome teacher. He will definitely go out of his way to make sure you understand what he is teaching. Expect plenty of homework but it will help you out in the long run. He puts in his personal time to hold study group sessions whether in the library or his office. I've taken him for college algebra and now statistics.

Professor Darrisaw is a very good teacher. He is an expert at STATS and gives you confidence that you can do it. He will go out of his way to lend extra time for homework explanations. So this one is tough to put instead a simple box. He is so kind and genuinely wants you to learn however he is also incredibly scattered. He isnt tech savvy at all and sometimes focuses too long on certain parts that puts the whole class sort of behind. This caused our final to be tough because you were relying on self teaching due to lack of time

Kind caring professor; easy class just have patience with him. If he goes too fast just tell him, he lets you leave class early but I wouldnt you miss some info and offers tutoring no reason to fail am taking him for statistics as well

I was nervous to take this professor due to the mixed reviews on here. He is a bit scattered but he is very caring and wants you to pass. If you put in the work and do the homework you will pass. I pass this class with an A. Take good notes frm hw and study guide bc you can use them during the test. Homework is on MML. Do the work and you'll pass!

Professor D is one of the best math professors I have ever had. His class is very easy as long as you read the textbooks and if you ever need help he is always open to help you in his virtual office. Just work hard and stay on task its a easy A

Mr. Darrisaw is a good person. He provides several online lectures that give examples on the homework, quiz, and test section from MyLab Statistics. He does not give extra credit since they are already on MyLab. You get unlimited tries on the homework section, 3 on the quiz section, and 2 on the test section.

I really enjoyed having Professor Darrisaw. He gives extensions, he gives you almost every tool possible to help you understand statistics and pass his class. I hate math period. I never enjoyed math but for the 1st time ever I understood it because of Professor Darrisaw. Statistics is difficulty but Professor Darrisaw makes it somewhat easy.

Professor Darrisaw was very sweet. Responded to emails quickly. We used an online book which was under $40. The deadlines for everything was on a weekly basis. I've always been horrible in math & am returning to school after 10 years. I work a full-time job. Just study at your own pace by the deadline & you'll make an A. Gives xtra credit.

Excellent professor, explains well, if you still don't understand you can see him outside of class to go over anything you need help with. He works with you to ensure you understand and gives extra credit. Be sure to take notes in class to review later it really comes in handy. He uses OLI to go through the course, it has explanations and examples.

He is a great professor. Just make sure you're doing the work to your best ability as you have 50 attempts and ASK QUESTIONS! He gives extra credit points towards your final exam and is accessible almost immediately whenever you reach out to him via his provided number. Can get hard but as long as your doing your part as a student, you'll be fine.
