Best Instructor I've ever had! She makes class fun and everyone looks forward to attending. I highly recommend taking her classes. She makes microbiology extremely easy to understand. Does not require attendance for lecture but does for lab. Very easy going attitude as long as you are responsible and don't try to walk all over her.

She is so much fun and makes learning fun. I dont really like to attend class, but her class is something i want to go to!!!

I had Dr. R for Micro and Forensic Science and she is by far the BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!!! She makes class so much fun, but dont slack off, she asks some difficult questions on the tests. She isn't demanding but she expects you to put the time and effort into to the course!!! I would recommend her!!!

Dr. R is by far the best teacher I've ever had! She has amazing experience and really interesting stories! Not too difficult, is always willing to help out! She has the most interesting lectures and a great sense of humor. She is willing to help out in every way possible and is very friendly and approachable!

Amy is awesome. She is hysterical and really cares about her students. Tests aren't horrible and you get a note card. Make sure to pay attention in class and during the films because she can be a bit of a stickler for details. HIGHLY recommend if wanting to take a no-pressure science course.

I love Amy! She was easily my favorite teacher i've had. She is so fun and makes the two hour lectures fly by. As i can say she is the only professor that showed up to class wearing a unicorn mask just to "brighten our day". Easy tests if you study and quizzes are a breeze. I would 10/10 recommend her to anybody!

Take her class ! Make sure you bring your googles and don't wear flip flops to lab because she WILL send you home. As long as you come to class and lab prepared she will be your favorite teacher.

If you have the option to take a class with her do it! She gives a clear grading rubric in the beginning of class and sticks with it exactly. She's a stickler for attendance and dress code for lab so show up! She is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Her lectures are funny and interesting and test based. Show up, do what she says and get an A!

Good teacher, definitely not accessible outside of the classroom and is not the most accommodating of teachers but she knows what she is talking and she is a good teacher. She knows what she is talking about and she is a good teaching but you have to pay attention you have to come to class and you have to be ready to learn!

I went into this class dreading the unknown, and didn't have a strong science background, but needed it for Nursing. All that went out the door because this lady made the difference! She made teaching SO FUN and SO INTERESTING, I'd say it's been one of my top 3 fav classes ever taken at KW. She teaches in such a fun way. You'll learn and love!

Amy is an awesome professor. I took Forensic Science with her, and she is hilarious and really passionate about the material. Her lectures are very interesting, and I did learn a lot. You get some homework and then the exams, which are all graded along with attendance. I loved going to this class, so it didn't feel like a chore.

If I had to pick a favorite professor it would be Amy. She made class exceptionally fun. She went above and beyond to ensure that we all knew the material, including slowing down if she saw any sign of hesitation. If you can take any class with her, then jump on it.

I would definitely take one of Amy's classes again. She is very knowledgeable in the material and it is obvious that she knows what she is talking about and is also very passionate in doing so. She not only knows how to effectively teach the material but she also makes class fun and interesting for sure.

Amy is AMAZING. I highly recommend her to anyone! The Micro class is a pretty tough class but Amy made class fun! As long as you study the material outside of class you'll do fine! Don't be late to or miss lab!! That's the one thing that will upset her. Lab is very fun too! My favorite lab I've ever taken!

I had Forensic Science with Amy and it is my favorite class I have ever taken. She knows her stuff, and gives you real life stories to apply the information you learn to. Such an interesting class. I never wanted to miss a day!

I absolutely loved my class with Amy. She is very clear about what she expects and makes it very easy for you to succeed. She can be tough to get ahold of outside of class, but will try her best!! You do need to show up to class and labs, but she makes it very fun! I would take her class again in a heartbeat!

I would take every class at Kirkwood with Amy if I could. She made lecture fun and they were very easy to understand. She gives study guides for her tests and they relate directly to her exams.

The class was not too hard. She was a very good professor when it came to microbiology. I came into the class knowing very little and I left the class knowing a lot more. I feel as if the class and the labs were very knowledgeable. The quizzes that were given helped with exams. I would recommend her as a professor.

I took forensic science with Amy and I loved the class so much Im considering changing my major! I learned so much from her, and she is so funny and made a dark subject entertaining. You will get so much from this class that you would have never thought you would. 10/10

Taking Microbiology with Amy has been a fantastic experience. If all instructors were like her that would be great. When we switched to online classes due to the pandemic she kept things easily accessible and FUN! She makes you work for your grades but she also teaches in a way that the material is understandable. Amy is amazing, the best professor I had at kirkwood. There was a day she brought us donuts to class, and enough for all of us to have at least 2 if we wanted, and at the end of class she told us it was because one of her pets had died and she wanted to make us happy. She is also very VERY qualified and knowledgable on forensic science. 10/10

Hands down my favorite teacher at Kirkwood. I took her forensic science class, and loved her so much I signed up for her microbiology class too. She works her students hard but you actually learn a lot and she's very good at describing the material. Couldn't recommend her more.

Amy was by far my best teacher I have had all year. She knows what she is talking about which helps you as a student better understand. She likes to stop her videos around 15 minutes which is great so you don't have to watch all her videos all at once. She gives out study guides and I recommend doing them it will take the class so much easier!!

I'm always a little suspicious of a professor that everyone likes, but this time everyone is right. I wish Dr. Clancy was my teacher for every class-the lectures are great and she talks about serious matters with a perfect balance of humor and respect. The coursework is interesting and I absolutely recommend Forensic Science with Dr. Clancy 100%.

I looked forward to coming to class everyday! Her instructions for each lab were very clear and simple, the worksheets went well with the labs and she just taught everything very passionately and it was a very fun microbiology class! I seriously would recommend taking any class you can with her!! Shes so sweet and easy going!!

I don't like microbiology but she made it bearable. She loves what she does and you can tell. So teaches so you remember. She is an amazing teacher.

Amazing teacher and class- lecture videos are very well put together and give a clear understanding. Class videos and assignments were very engaging with the material and Dr. Clancy is very responsive to questions that arise. Would highly recommend taking this class.

The course that I took with Dr. Clancy was super interesting and was fairly easy to keep up with. I did take the course online and she did use a lockdown browser during all quizzes and exams. Other than that I recommend taking a class with her if you can!

So many extra credit points (120pts in my semester). Weekly lab assignments (labs required), fun lectures. Lots of points available and hard to fail the class unless you do absolutely nothing

she was awesome, she made everything easy to understand. for forensics she used up to date cases and cases that she worked on herself. brought snacks for the longer days. gave me great advice on what other schooling I needed to get to the field I wanted. I would 100% recommend and will hopefully have her for more classes.

Amy is an amazing professor and so funny! Many chances to improve grade with easy assignments. lectures were always super engaging; she brings snacks for long ones:). Exams were perfectly aligned with lectures and the study guides, lab was super fun. If you show up to each class and do all the assignments, you will do well in her class!

Professor Clancy is a great instructor who really cares about the success of her students. She is absolutely hilarious and is able to turn a boring lecture into a funny, but still engaging and helpful lesson. She writes everything that goes into the gradebook which includes quizzes and exams so you might have to do some extra studying.

Amy has incredible energy! She somehow makes learning about dead bodies not-disturbing :). She brings snacks on Monday, and prints out all of her lecture slides. I wrote down everything from the print outs onto a notebook, and then reviewed the night before tests. This is a super easy way to get 100% on her tests.
