Definitely the teacher i needed for this subject!!! she is very cool, very clear in her explanations, enjoys what she does, and she has the patience of a saint!!!! Anyone who has had any difficulty in this subject will LIKE this instructor, god knows Ive had difficulty in it.

This is the best math class of my life!!!! All homework is done online using mymathlab. The class is basically her breaking down the section for you, and then you go home and do the homework on your own time. Quizes are done online as well. The due dates are reasonable. Perfect class if you are not good in math or if you love math! She is wonderful

DEFINITELY a very clear teacher and is always willing to help either after class or in her office/ homework and quizzes are done on MyMathLab which is good because u can go at your own pace but tests are in class/ very nice teacher and I really recommend her for all math clases

Attendence is of no importance to her, our understanding the material is all she cares about. DueDates on work are reasonable and she'll even give you tips on up coming math classes you'll have to take.TAKE HER

This professor is incredible. She will take the time to clarify problems if you ask questions. She is willing to meet with you outside of class, and will stay late after class. She will make very clear the major concepts, while challenging you with the algebra, and calculus techniques. Learn to use fractional exponents and the conjugate technique.

She is AMAZING! Math has never been a good subject for me but she made it as clear as possible. You have a lot of homework and she gives homework quizzes so you have to actually do the homework. But, if you do the homework you will absolutely pass the class! Wonderful teacher, wish I could take her in the fall!

She is the best math teacher VCC West Campus has to offer. I am now taking CalcII and really wish she was teaching it. For CalcI, she is a hard teacher in that she expects you to really know the material, but she makes it "easy" to understand.

She is amazing. She will work with you before, during, and after class. She WANTS you to learn it, it's not just a job for her, it's her passion. You won't just know it to pass the tests, butyou will KNOW it and be taught how to apply it, that's what is really important. Test 100% fair and easy if you study. Many take her from pre-alg thru calc.

Prof Comerford was pretty awesome. Loves math and it shows. Now the class is somewhere in the middle of hard and easy. She will challenge you but also give you the tools to succeed. Make sure you use the WebCT since its part of your grade and pay attention in class. Do the homework and study just a smidge. Really a great professor!

Took pre-calc online and she was very good. Answers any questions you have and responds really fast. All assignments are due 1 day of the week and a certain time. No late work. I didn't use the book because you have one online. You only need an access code for the online class. Got a B+ but it was my fault.If you study you can get an A.

This professor is so clear and organized in her presentation that it's easy to follow and pick up on this rather icky material if you attend class every day. Hands-Down best math professor I have ever had! Took her over the summer. There is a large online component to the course, but fairly easy to utilize. Redundancy is her method, which can get annoying, but in the long run is the key to hers and your success.

Homework is essential to getting a good grade in this class. It is graded but for completeness not correct answers. This professor is always willing to help and keeps offices hours religiously for that reason. I have learned alot-especially the need for proper time management when doing Calculus course. Take her for every Math class if you can!!!

She was always eager to help, friendly, and easy to understand. Tests were all multiple choice. I wouldn't recommend math online unless you are VERY strong at it & have good self discipline. Best math teacher at Valencia. Actually seems to enjoy teaching. She's smart, highly accessible, great personality and grades with partial credit. Never bought the book, don't need it, just the solutions manual, because she teaches in class everything you need to know. Tests only what she teaches, no surprises - I find that very important.

Precalc online. Unlimited attempts at homework until you get 100%, 7 quizzes of which the lowest grade is dropped, and a midterm and final. Also weekly math-related discussion. The first half of the class is very easy and the second half gets challenging but do all the homework and do the practice for the final and it won't be too hard to get an A.

Great professor! She knows her subject, but more importantly, she knows how to teach it. Also took her for MAT 1033C and she actually made me like Math. Valencia needs to CLONE her. She certainly has a gift for teaching Math. By the way, did I mention that she is also very nice, helpful, and approachable? She is! Highly recommend her classes.

Took this class online very easy! You really don't need the txtbk bc MyMathLab has it all. You do have to complete alot of HW, but hey its all apart of your grade, unlike some math courses. No tests just 6 quizzes, a midterm, & final. She drops the lowest quiz. Also, discussions biweekly. Fill in notes & take the practice tests! Highly Recommend :)

One of the absolute best teachers I've ever had. I've always had to take a math class at least twice before passing, but walking out of her class I feel like I could be a math major. Incredibly nice and helpful. She even added an extra seat to Calc 2 because I begged to get into her class! The only possible negative is that she won't teach Calc 3.

Simply awesome. Very talented and enthusiasti. Will not move on until everyone is comfortable with doing so. A lot of teachers (whether or not by accident) will make you feel dumb, but she avoids this pitfall when answering questions. Some say she's monotone which I don't really hear. Although sometimes she sounds like GLaDOS from the Portal games.

OK, I got a D because I'm terrible at math, but I wanted to keep trying up until the end. Gonna CLEP another easier math for my credit. But Ms. Comerford is REALLY nice. She even extended a homework for me once, and sent me tips and info when I told her about different issues I had. If you can handle statistics, she's very nice and helpful!

Very fair and helpful, even online! I continuesly missed a problem on quizzes, so I emailed her. A detailed response to possible problems was in my mailbox within a day. Not only that, but she gave me 2 more chances to take the quizzes, which was unexpected. Don't buy the textbook though, too much $ w/o much use.

I took College Algebra online. It was mostly self-taught through mathlab, but I liked that--it was easy and straightforward. The few times I e-mailed her she always replied promptly and completely.

EXTREMELY HARD TESTS!!! the questions on the tests will be something entirely different than what you have taken.

She is very sweet and excellent at explaining concepts. She also cares for her students. She was concerned about why i would want to drop out of college. Take her if you want to learn and having a pleasant college experience. I wish I had her while i was still interested in college.

She is a wonderful professor who is more than willing to help any student. As long as you do the hw and attend class, you will pass with an A. However, this is not to say that she is an easy grader, she teaches the material thoroughly and actually expects the students to learn. Take her if you want to actually know Calc by the end of the course.

Amy is the greatest math teacher at Valencia, if not in the world. Anyone who wrote a negative review either doesn't care about genuinely learning the material or is naturally stupid. If you are not an engineering or math major, she is probably not the professor to take. If you are however, take this class, she is good at explaining different applications and calculus topics. Her tests are fair, make sure you brush up on and become good at Algebra, and trig before starting the class. Do homework and ask questions

Assignments are clear, the best thing about this class is that she gives very good study guides for the midturn and final, pretty much if you do this guides you will pass.

Clear outline of course. Though midterm and final each count for 25% of grade, study guides were a direct reflection of the tests. Great notes/ lectures from professor, even though it is an online class.

Her online College Algebra was set up well and easy to follow. Weekly homework assignments and Chapter Quizzes every few week. Two attempts at Chapter Quizzes. A midterm and final are required, but she gives you a Review for each and a notecard allowed. No surprises. Easy to contact. take her!

Took her online. We usually got 4-5 homeworks every other week and a quiz in the weeks between. Drops the lowest quiz and two lowest homeworks. Midterm and final at the testing center. One notecard for midterm, two for final. The midterm and final are exactly like the reviews, so do them.

I took professor Comerford online and it was the best decision. The course layout made it easy to follow. Lowest 2 homework grades and a quiz grade is dropped at the end of the course. Midterms and finals are fairly easy since you are given a review that is just like the exams. You can bring a notecard filled with notes and equations to the exams.

She is AMAZING, I took her in Spring 2020 and in the middle of the semester COVID-19 happened so classes were transferred to an online format, she was AMAZING at handling the switch. Before this happened though she was a great teacher and explained things well and asking questions in class did not make you feel stupid. I would 100% take her again!!

Very good professor. She is good at explaining concepts and goes over plenty of examples so you understand it better. She does give quite a bit of homework but of course, for calculus, you will need the practice. For the tests, she puts a page on canvas outlining exactly what each question is going to be about so you know exactly what to study.

i think she taught really challenging concepts in a way that was easily understandable to the class. your grade is based only on 4 tests and a pretty difficult final. the hw is a lot but it does help with studying for said tests. i went out of this class feeling like i learned a lot.

I took her for Calculus 1 last fall. It was a smaller class (covid) but a great class, almost everyone who started finished. Her lectures made everything make sense and she tells you what you need to study for each test. Dont get me wrong, you have to study, it's Calculus afterall. I see bad reviews, but that wasn't my experiense at all.

My calc 1 class with her last fall was great. she explains things to make it crystal clear and has office hours too. I'm happy i took her for calc 1 cuz then calc 2 made sense. got an A in that class too. Smart lady, cares about her students, she'll get you a good foundation of calculus. Take her, especially of you have to go through Diff. Eq.

Took 6 weeks-ish class summer term. It was a lot of work but the way Prof. Comerford's class is set up is perfect! The lecture videos are verbatim to what the assignment and test is going to be and it doesn't matter if you're not used to taking online math class as long as you watch the lecture you're set! Prof. Comerford's MAC1105 was great 10/10.

Professor Comerford is a great calculus professors. She is very open to questions at any point in the lecture and her door is open to anyone having doubts. There are only 5 tests which is nerve-racking but the test problems are nothing out of this world, they are just like the homework questions. Really great class, would recommend in a heart beat

She is a very good teacher, she explains each of the topics and problems in depth. Class grade is based on only 5 exams. Homework is not mandatory but I highly recommend that you do it since many of the homework problems are similar to those on the test. If you complete homework she gives you extra credit towards your exam grade.

The layout of the class was probably the best part. There was only one assignment through Canvas and the rest of the course was to be completed on MML. There were a few homework assignments each week and then 5 tests total. Professor Comerford was great as she gave reminders about the expectations for each week and was always just an email away.

Absolutely the best professor I've had. Such a relief to have her for calculus. She's incredible at teaching and I love attending lecture. I would take her for every math class if I could.

GREAT online math teacher, very responsive and will give extension's on the due date if needed. There is a lot to learn in the class but she is very organized and ALL work is due on Tuesday so you will not forget about upcoming due dates. she does drop lowest homework and lowest test grade at the end of semester. overall very caring professor.

She teaches all the concepts very well, exams are not a walk in the park but if you study the topics well, you'll get a good grade, there's usually one bonus question and usually 1-2 homework for each chapter, and they are essential to learn the course material in general. her lectures are amazing, if you put in the effort she will help you succeed

I had this professor for both MAC 1105 and MAC 1114 and she was absolutely amazing! I took both of these classes online with her so I was concerned about how I would do. She is very upfront about her assignments and grading policy and makes it very easy to get an A in her class. She truly cares about her students and is always there to help.

Professor Comerford was great. Took the class online and it wasn't bad. 3 big tests iirc, and you're allowed to have notes for all of them. She's a great help if you struggle with understanding the concepts, and is available most of the time. 1-2 assignments due a week, she sends reminders when things are due. Easy if you turn your work in on time.

Professor Comerford is an amazing professor. Everything is done in my math lab and there are usually 2-3 homework assignments a week which each contain anywhere from 10-30 questions (usually less). She does not use Honorlock on regular tests, only the midterm and final. Though,If you struggle with math you probably shouldnt take it online.

It's so hard to find a professor that doesn't have a big ego, and genuinely just cares about teaching. If you go to class, pay attention, and do the homework you'll be set. Professor Comerford is an angel. I took her class online, and she was so generous!! I had a lot of issues getting Pearson to work and constantly had issues with my wifi, but as long as I emailed her and was honest about what happened, she opened the assignments back up and gave me another chance to do them. Professor Comerford is great! Her teaching style helps you grasp the mechanics and logic behind calculus. HOWEVER, the class is pretty test-heavy. The in-person tests themselves are very deep and will test your understanding of calculus thoroughly. All free response, but partial credit is provided.

4 assignments a week and the entire course in on Pearson. Two honorlocked exams one midterm and one final. Super sweet professor and very helpful and understanding. She gave us extensions all the time and was extremely helpful. Would 100% take her again.

Easy going teacher, gave extensions all the time. Lowk a lot of time consuming tests and homework but nothing to crazy. Midterm and final are with honorlock (camera).

Honestly, doing this class for summer term wasnt THAT bad the homework and test can be kind of time-consuming. It's a lot of homework each chapter. Midterm and Final are the only honor lock tests but I feel like if you do all the homework and pass the test and fail like the midterm and final you'll get like a cool little C but it wasn't hard

Choose this class! Its basically Algebra 2 in HS. Only thing that was remotely difficult was logarithms because I forgot about them. She does use honor lock only for midterm and honor lock, but you are allowed a note card with anything on it that you want so really helpful, and desmos is allowed on the final and midterm.
