She is a very nice and helpful teacher. She cares about helping students and not just failing them. Even though the workload is quite intense, it is relatively easy and worth an "A" in the class.

You will not be dissapointed....But she need to slow down while she is explaining stuff. Grading is not easy but you will do very will. I recommend.

Excellent Lab teacher...Polite, nice and always smiling....dude you guys out there if u you need to take this stupid chem class just take it with her although you would hate the chemistry but you would love the time you spent in her class. *WINK*

very helpful and friendly! quizzes are hard- but they don't count for much- so you can fail all of them (which i did) and still get an 'A' - final was easy.

Ms Cook is very nice person. She explains very good and she is excellent teacher. Very clear with assignments and her quizzes are easy, not even mention the final. I did not even touch the book to study and still I got A. Highly recomended. Take her class, you will look forward the next lab.

Ms.Cook is a great teacher. She really explained things to the class. Plus, if you had any questions she would work them out with you until you got it. There is a fair amount of work to do, but you have plenty of time to do it.

She is a wonderful teacher. Chemistry is a hard subject for many people but she explains everything very well and takes the time to go over examples and answer any questions you have. The lab is also pretty easy. Just make sure to do the pre-lab questions and fill out the labs every week.

1st things 1st, she is so so so HOT!!!She makes chemistry look very easy. Her labs are amazing. Every report turned in guaranteed for made it in the format she wanted, you would get 100%. THE BEST TEACHER EVER! Science has been the weekest subject overall for me and i heard abt ms.cook and drove from lawerenceville to newton campus for her classes...DEFINATLY WORTH IT! She is helpful, helpful, and helpful i got an A n trust me when i can do it..anyone can GO FOR HER CLASS!!

This is the best chem teacher ive ever had she speeks english clearly. she grades her test fairly and alwqays gives a 15 to 20 point curve on test. if you take her take her lab at the same time if you can she fantastic!

Professor is clear and concise. She will spend a lot of time reviewing before a test. She allows a lot of time just for questions from students and will do dozens of example problems.

She's a great teacher. I'm an English major, and I aced this class. She's low key and always finished the lecture 15 minutes early.

She is a very fair teacher & has 4 or 5 tests. She drops your lowest test grade and each test has bonus points. Her homework assignments are easy, gives you tons of time to do them, and they count as test grades. there is about 8 of those, so if you don't test well, you can still get a good grade by doing these. she is also quick to reply to email

Awesome teacher, hard tests but study and you'll do well. Ms. Cook is a genius, she knows everything and anything about chemistry. Shes the best prof I've ever had, this class is the only class I dont regret attending. Ms. Cook helps you out when you need help, the quizzes are hard but not too bad, keep up with her notes and materials.

They don't get much better than Prof Cook. Had her for lec & lab. She knows her stuff. Has a Master's degree in chem, but doesn't teach as if you do too. Laid back & helpful; slow on email reply, but so what?! Quizzes online with three tries each. Tests are straight from text so study. You're blowing it if you need this class & don't take her.

Chemistry is definately not an easy subject, but with her you will definately pass if you try. She can help you understand it better than anyone. I would strongly reccomend taking her for chemistry because she is the best you get. I passed her class with a B in the lecture and an A in the lab.

She is definitely one of the better chem teachers. She just knows how to explain things in layman's terms and effectively uses analogies so that just about anybody can understand what she's saying. She is so HOT she makes u want to go to class b/c u never get tired of lookin at her, but she is also very smart and can answer just about any ? u ask.

This is the second time I had her and she is great. She always comes to class with a positive approach and very helpful and explains it so well. If only they could make clones of her to teach chemistry and it would not be such a dreaded subject. I would rank her in the top 5 professors at GPC.

I took Mrs.Cook for Chem 1211 and 1212.I had A in all of them.She helped me with my work and she gives extra credit to pull your grade up. I would advise everyone taking Mrs.Cook to do some extra studying outside the class and everything will be alright.

She da best. Explains problems clear, breaks everything down, answers all questions, and gives lots of extra credit which you only do if you need it. TAKE HER! And when you pass, buy her lunch for being a rare breed (good teacher).

Best General Chem Teacher Ever. Go to class. Participate. Take Notes and study. Do the online homework or you will be screwed. Take her for lab also. Really focus on doing the lab work correctly.

OWL is a must because it is basically kind of 50% of your grade. Even if you do have an A in the class you will fail if you don't do the OWL. This class will help

If you want to learn and make a good grade, Mrs. Cook is the best chemistry professor GPC has to offer. She explains it in a way where everyone learns, plus she drops your lowest test grade and give tons of extra credit. I took her for 1211 lec and lab as well as 1212 lec and lab. She works with you, tells you exactly what you need to know, and if you listen you should get and turn things in before the deadline you should get an A or a B.

BY FAR THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! PERIOD. THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW! Very light on the work, doesn't take the complete 3 hours for lab, very helpful! Definitely recommend her!

Prof Cook is the bomb! I took her for Chem 1211 and 1212 and I was glad I did. She made the class fun. OWL homework is a must though, but it helps you better understand the materials. She is an awesome teacher!! before I took chemistry and her class I was not interested at all, got in the class had no knowledge of chem and thought I was going to fail but instead I got an A!! Now I feel confident and comfortable, very helpful and sweet! There is no way you can fail her class unless you are lazy! I definitely recommend Mrs. Cook!

Take her! As with any college course you have to put in time and effort. She give review days and plenty of extra credit. She does give homework but its on McGraw-Hill Connect website.(Spring semester we were the first to test out this method) My advice is, as required, Read the ebook before class. So the next class meeting you'll have clarity.

shes is a good instructor compare to other instructors on the campus. She give out ALOT of extra credit. Chemistry is just hard in general to learn. Her class is getting so hard her TESTS are one of the hardest chemistry tests in GPC If you care about your grade be aware of the TESTS they are so hard A lot of homework but that's okay Again her tests are becoming supper hard to pass

Gives a lot of extra credit and does not grade harsh at all in my opinion. Online hw is a bit tough and very tedious. She definitely prepares you for her test if u study hard enough as in any science class, Definitely recommend!

I will say despite her great extra credit to help fluff your grade. Do not expect to come to class and not put in any effort. Chem is a challenging course. I took her for chem 1211 and 1212. She wants you to do well, She will give you the tools and help with a lot to boost your grade BUT you must put in work to understand. Take her, she is great.

Mrs. Cook is a great teacher who is very approachable. She explains the information in a way that is easily understood. During lecture she does more with applying the concepts and working the problems out together, not just reading from a slide. Come to class, do the assigned homework, and ask questions and you are on your way to a passing grade.

Best Professor Ever. Very helpful. 5 exams 50% of grade and she drops one. Homework is 30% but is easy yet time consuming. Final was not so bad. Take her! you will never regret! Best Chem professor Ever!

Make sure to do all the extra credit and it'll help to bump your final grade up at least one letter. Really nice and explains how to do the work, the OWL is tedious but she drops the lowest one. Will help you after class at her office.

Professor Cook is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She solves a lot of problems during the class. If you practice her problems and OWL, you will do fine. Besides the final, she takes four exams. One for every two chapter. Try to get a good grade in these. The final is very difficult, has 70 questions and you only have one hundred ten min.

Amy Cook is the best chem professor at GPC. She teaches concepts very well and explains step by step how to solve each problem. Lectures are clear and she is excellent with helping students understand concepts. Pay attention in lecture and practice with homework and you will get an easy A. Took her over the summer with 3 hr lectures and was fine.

She teaches very well, but it's up to you to take really good notes. She will give her base lecture and teach you how to solve for things, using really test relevant examples. But small details she shares as to why this is this and that is that, you need to write down. Her test questions can be confusing but just worded in a different way.

Professor Cook is SO NICE AND SO STRAIGHTFORWARD! She is so clear of what will be on the test and she gives so much extra credit. If you do all the extra credit at the end of the semester she will put 2 points on your OVERALL GRADE AVERAGE! TAKE HER! Just always do her practice tests and take notes in class.

Professor Cook is an understanding individual whose goal is ensuring that you have the material needed for each upcoming class. Her lectures are clear and she ensures that you have extra assistance outside the classes (i.e, SI sessions).

Pre & Post COVID: What a blessing! Understanding & even curved our 1st test by 20+ pts cus "1st test don't go as planned". Drops low test & quiz. Attendance? It's chem, y won't you go 2 lass? No textbook, but don't do ur hmwk last min or it'll pile up! Tons of xtra cred 2 curve ur final grade. Had her for chem 1211, 1212, 1212L & got A's in all 3

You will do a lot of work in this class in regards to the labs themselves. She has you complete the lab, the pre quiz, the lab notebook and post quiz each week. The lab notebook entries are what takes so much time. Overall, she is great, and everything she has you do is to prep you for future Chemistry classes.

Lectures are usually clear and she was available in her office hours to help out with anything that was unclear, not much to say aside from the class being great.

I love Dr. Cook for Chem 1212 Lab. She always gives you the straight-forward information you need to successfully carry out your lab experiments and lab reports. Just the lab report, lab notebook, prelab, and midterm/final. She's also very responsive and truly cares!

Dr. Cook wants her students to succeed & helps them do it! She explains things well & is very helpful at office hours! She works a lot of problems in class & offers a lot of extra credit.
