Dr. Graham is a brand new Chemistry teacher which made me a little nervous at first but she is absolutely awesome. She's kind of a dork but she actually is pretty funny and is definitely interested in what she teaches. She keeps lectures fun and is totally approachable. If you can, take her for 152!

Dr. Graham was a frustrating professor because she was new and figureing things out. I'd say take Lockett if you can because I found that her pace was often very wrong, either too fast in the beginning, and then too slow and we didn't learn all material. Hard class, this teacher made it pretty hard due to the lack of experience. Funny lady though.

It doesn't really matter who you take for 151, because all the teachers give a 7% curve at the end. I just relied on going to class and the powerpoints, but I think the textbook would have been more helpful than class. My test average was a 60% but lab was worth 25% so I got a B. It is REALLY hard to teach chemistry with less than an hour a day, so yes the class requires a lot of outside work, SI sessions, and looking at the textbook but its really all for your benefit. Amy is a great professor who provides so many resources to help students succeed, and only teaches content directly on exams and quizzes. Dr. Graham is a great chemistry professor who truly cares about student learning. With a mix of in-class practice and prerecorded videos, the workload is manageable. For extra support, the SI sessions and office hours are super helpful. unstuckstudy AI is a great study tool to supplement the materials.

Dr. Graham cares about her students and will always be there to help, but you need to show up and do the work! There are many exams/quizzes but most are open note, so take notes and pay attention. I also love the interactive nature of the class. You will get out what you put into the class. Best chemistry professor I have ever had!

Dr. Graham is by far the best professor I have had. I do not care for chemistry in the slightest, but I definitely could not have gone through it without her. I loved Dr. Graham! She is a great professor and it is clear that she cares about her students. Her pre-videos and recorded office hours are very helpful. You have two attempts for each quiz. The exams are only worth 8% of your grade (per exam) so if you do badly on one you can recover from it. Final is only 7%/

Amy herself was a great professor, however the overall course is made quite difficult due to the testing practices in the department. Rather then each teacher writing their own test, they take turns meaning on some tests there was content we had not covered yet. When I mentioned this they said "it is fair because everyone will fail a little"

You have to be prepared to study and work for your grade, but if you watch her office hours, do the homework, and participate in class, you are set. Her lectures are engaging and she answers all questions you might have. Dr. Graham's teaching is a breath of fresh air.
