This is a difficult class, however she explains the material very well. It is hard work, but it is worth it.

Tough subject but the teacher did a good job of explaining the material. Homework was never due in class, but it helped a lot to do it. Quizzes every week but unless you never attended class you will do ok on those. Tests were tough but only if you didnt study. A tough subject overall but as far as acct teachers go shes really good

Awesome teacher. Really fun and helpful. Homework not required but it will help you in the exams. 4 exams plus final and a few quizzes. I took the class before and my previous teacher sucked. Amy rocks and shes hot.

She gets to know people's names and she is really good at explaining things. She gives a lot of homework but most of it isn't hard it's just repetitive which really helps you understand the material. The tests are all multiple choice which makes it a little hard because all the homework is solving equations. I highly recommend her.

Great teacher! There really isn't that much homework. About two assignments a week, but it helps you actually learn the material. If you need help with anything shes totally willing to help you. I totally recommend taking this class from her. I never would have thought to take acct as my option but now I am considering it.

Amy is very clear and direct during her lectures. She gives unlimited practice test before exams, and the same questions show up on the exam. She offered several opportunities for extra credit throughout the semester. Homework is online, with several in class assignments. Homework has unlimited tries, so it is easy to get a good grade. I had Amy for Acct 201 and Acct 437. She is one of the best professors because she really wants the student to succeed. Plus she understands how difficult the subject is about that she even curved the test score and gave extra credits out. I would take her again if she teach a course I need.

She is a very good teacher and willing to help. Use her office hours, that is what they are there for.

I really liked Amy in 201. She was helpful and always easy to talk to or contact. She gave a lot of resources for outside help if you were struggling. There's a lot of homework but if you do it it makes everything seem easier.

Amy is by far one of the best instructors at Chico State. She is extremely helpful and posts anything you could possibly need to pass the class. There are a lot of hw assignments, but that just comes with every acctg class. She is nice and down to earth. Take her class!

Amy is an amazing teacher. By far the best yet I have had while attending Chico State and I am a Junior. She is extremely helpful, kind, and eager to see her students succeed. There is a lot of homework assigned with this class, but it keeps you up to date on your work and prepares you for the tests. Take her class - you won't regret it!!!

She is a very good teacher. She is tough and makes you work hard and learn the material. If you want to slack off and not do much work, then this is not the class for you. I would recommend taking her class and when in class to be involved to help yourself better understand the material.

She is a great professor! The good part of class is MAL because it gives you the opportunity to redo each problem twice for its entirety. Make sure you do good on homework this counts for a lot of points at the end. she takes off 10 points- no extra credit in this class. And there is a group project. Sometimes she provides studyguides for exams.

Probably the best professor to take for accounting. She's extremely nice, will help you out. Students struggle with accounting so thats why its hard. But good, hot teacher. ;)

I am an accounting major and I WISH she taught upper division accounting. She is one of the best teachers I have had at Chico State and in accounting. She is extremely helpful and teaches the material very well. Most people probably think she is hard because the class is challenging. Study the homework and you will do fine.

Acct is tough subject. With that said, if you want to put in the time and work with Amy, she is bar-none the best teacher at chico. She goes out of her way to be helpful and available to students and is genuinely a nice person. You must earn your grade with her though, nothing easy!

Amy is a great professor and really wants everyone to do well. She teaches you well and has homework assignments and a quiz every chapter to help your grade. Its impossible to get less than 100% on the homework. Acct 202 is a hard class, Amy tries her best and is a nice lady.

Amy is the best ACCT 202 teacher available. That said, the class is not easy. Do all the problems and study hard for the exams. Understanding why/how you get answers is key.

She is overall a good teacher but you will not pass unless you are amazing at accounting. Her tests are designed for you to fail and no matter how much you study, you won't get and A unless you're a genius in accounting. Go to tutoring if you need help but honestly, it won't make that much of a difference on the test. Just avoid taking the class...

Amy is GREAT Toughest class I''ve had yet but she is more than fair and willing to help anyway she can. I have her for ACCT321 right now and again lots of tedious work but I know what to expect from her and that goes a long way She curved the comprehensive final is a BIG way otherwise very few''d pass. One of the best profs on campus

This is a tough class, but Amy knows it and adjusts as such. If you do your reading, study and come to class, you should have no trouble passing. And yes, the tests are hard, but keep in mind she curves everything at the end so your grade will definitely go up. It's a necessary evil, but Amy is really helpful and wants people to pass.

Amy is a great instructor, and she cares about your progress in class- if you put the effort. This class has to be taken seriously, otherwise don't even bother to believe you will pass. This class requires that you take it seriously and do all the work you are supposed to do. You will be just fine if you put the effort and do your part.

Honestly, everyone is just mad at her because they received a bad grade. This class, now canceled, is an easy B. All you have to do is put in the effort, which is what most of the students in the class lack. Go to her office hours if you need help, and ask questions in class. She give a studied guide, so be thankful of that.

This was a little bit tough class, but you will pass it as long as you put your effort. She will help you if you visit her office. I did almost every week. Use study guides for exams. Don't extend your homework. She respects students and is willing to answer any questions they have. Ask anything if you couldn't understand. She is a nice professor.

She's one of the best professors for accounting, which is one of the hardest courses to take in Chico State aside from Chemistry. Doesn't curve exams except for the final exam. Make this class a priority!

She is an awesome and caring teacher. This is just an insanely hard class. She does her best to help but you won't pass unless you go to her office hours. Ask questions in the beginning, you will just be lost if you don't get clarity in the beginning. Each chapter is built off of the last chapters. Take at a JC if possible!

Took her for ACCT 201 and passed. I walked into ACCT 202 and was hit harder than a sledge hammer made of titanium made by the blacksmith that forged Julius Caesar's sword. This is the class that you should put at least 95% of your effort into for exams are ridiculously hard and only the final is curved. She's the best professor for ACCT 202.

I took Amy for both 201 and 202, and I believe she's the best professors for those classes. She tries her hardest utilizing all her resources to ensure her students under stand the material. She cares about the success of her students. Come to class prepared and visit her in office hours, she an amazing lady!

Amy is the best! For those who do not like her its because of a lack of effort. The subject is hard, but she makes it so easy to understand. Instead of lecturing all day, she uses example problems all class to follow along with and see for yourself how to plug in numbers and formulas. Great teacher, tough subject, but definitely the best option.

Amy is amazing. Accounting is a very difficult subject no matter who you take it with. She is by far the best option. She's very sweet and truly wants her students to pass. Tests are difficult and worth 200 points each, the final is worth 800. STUDY! Make this class a priority or it will hit you like a brick wall.

Accounting 202 at Chico State is the hardest class I've taken so far. Amy does her best to teach students, but this material is very tough to understand. Tests are really hard and there's no curves. You pretty much have to study a week in advance if you even want a C on the tests. Some kids just get it and get A's but most kids have to work hard.

Amy is a good teacher she does her best, the class is just really hard. ACCT 202 is the hardest class I've taken at Chico State but if you put the effort in you can pass. She is really helpful in office hours and and cares about her students that really try in the class.

THIS CLASS IS HARD. But 202 is harder so get ready. I suppose some may just have a really hard time understanding the material, but not most. She is an AWESOME teacher for this hard material! Take her class! Only about half the class showed up for every class - if you don't show up you will not do well. You definitely will reap what you sew.

I had Amy for a Summer Accounting. She was very informative about accounting and real life applications. She gave me tools that did not only benefit in the classroom, but as well as balancing and keeping track of my finances. She is very strict but in way that teaches the students to be professional. Speak up when you are not able to understand.

Amy was in my opinion the best option to choose as a professor for this course. This course is HARD. Most that complain probably do not study as often. She gives 5 tests in total for the semester including your final. I'd recommend studying often for the class is really TOUGH not to mention the TOUGHER course you will take (ACCT202) if needed.

Yo this class is hard but she is the better option out of all the other accounting professors. There are three ways you will be learning the material which is through your book, online homework and online presentations which review what you have read. Just constantly keep studying throughout the semester instead of cramming in all the material.

Amy is a great Accouting professor. In the beginning of the semester she stresses that this class requires a lot and she isn't wrong but if you do what she says you should be just fine. She gives practice tests before test which are pretty helpful. Tips: Office hours are your friend and if you just chegg homework make sure you know the material.

It was a love hate relationship with this class. I really enjoyed it but you will have to practice a lot out of class. Amy is the best accounting professor I've had at Chico State! I had to repeat acct202 after failing it with a C- with another professor. I did not learn a single thing the first time I took it however, with Amy I learned soooo much about managerial accounting. She requires you to use your laptop during lectures so you can practice using excel.

The class is super hard but she explains the material very well and makes it easier to understand. Doesn't take attendance, but I do not recommend missing this class. Assignments and the review exams are similar to the exams, so they're great for studying. Also, EVERY point matters so don't miss an assignment, they're super easy points.

Amy is a great accounting professor. She provides help outside of class with SI sessions, practice exams, and the Glenn lab is also available. The subject is hard so you do need to put in an effort to earn an A. Use all the resources she gives you and you will do fine! Attendance is not mandatory but you need it to pass the class.

You must go to class in order to pass. She gives a lot of hw so do it! the final is cumulative 700 point final. She does great lectures

Amy is a really nice lady, but she does expect a lot out of you, and your pretty much going to have to study constantly if you want to pass. It's not an easy class by any means, but there is always tutoring and visiting her office hours as well as SI sessions. Go to them, study hard and if I can do it, so can you! Don't quit, whatever you do!

No 2.0 should ever be given to Amy! That person must not have taken her class because she is nothing but exceptional. During the fires she made many extensions for homework being very understanding. With over 200 students, she did her best to know and connect with us and does a thorough job of presenting the material. She's tough but very good!

Amy is a great professor. I had her for both ACCT 201and 202. IN the beginning she is very clear as to what is needed to pass the class. If you work on the homework, take the practice exams to prepare for the exams(5 total) and show up to at least half of the lectures you will be fine. She offers opportunities such as tutoring & SI. Take advantage.

Probably the best option she's teaching 201. The class is very doable if you stay on top of HW and quizzes. She takes attendance randomly but it's important to go. Everything is on connect. Great Professor and lectures good.

Amy is an amazing teacher and is very helpful during lectures. She also currently has 2 teaching assistants who both hold study sessions multiple times during the week to go over what we did in class and the homework. If you actually put in effort you'll do fine! The google sheets program took a second to get used to, but is actually really helpful

Amy is a great professor! I had her for Financial as well in Fall 2018. She makes you work hard for your grade and your expected to keep up. The tests are incredibly difficult (unless you do the practice exam multiple times) and or know the formulas by heart. My only advice is keep up, go to the SI sessions and don't fall behind. Good luck!

This class was definitely one of those classes you can't put off. She gives a lot of homework but she uses Connect so you can do the homework twice. She uses the better grade. The tests are difficult, you really need to study for them. She does give you many resources for help, USE THEM. This class is no joke, you will always have homework.

Amy is by far my favorite professor at Chico State. Very caring about her students and wants us to succeed. She does make you put in a lot of work but honestly if you just pay attention in class when she does the excel sheets and go every day, she gives a lot of extra credit and its very easy to pass. Failed this class once, but passed with a B+ the second time with the same professor. Amy is a good professor, accounting 201 is just a hard course. There is plenty of opportunities for tutoring or watching her lectures. There's a ton of homework, but it's mostly there to help you prepare for the tests. Study and do all of the homework to pass.

Amys course was super well-organized. You always knew when everything was due. She gave lots of chances for extra credit, too. Her practice exams were SO helpful, with unlimited attempts too. Her lectures were the most helpful, I rarely read the textbook if ever. She seems sweet and Im excited to take one of her classes again next semester.

This teacher is great, I just suck at doing asynchronous classes. The lectures are "Optional" but I would advise you to not miss them or the options for tutoring. The other aspect of this course being remote for now is of course is those Group Projects, in the Zoom age group projects make life difficult.

I absolutely loved professor Griffin, she is so kind and very helpful. The class was easy if you do her practice exams and homework!

Amy is by far one of my favorite professors at Chico. I struggled with Accounting 202 but was able to meet with her in office hours for extra help. She is very accommodating for the students and is very patient with you if you are struggling. As long as you stay on top of your homework and practice exams you will do fine.

All the hw is on chegg and if you just take the practice exams a couple times before the exams you'll be good. I signed up for her in person class and i have not gone in several months and i am happy with getting a b. The practice exams are key though.

She's a great teacher. Gives opportunities to redeem grades, understanding+caring, wants everyone to understand the material. Excellent lectures, homework=easy, practice exams are precisely like the real ones, extra credit is given. If you don't do good, it's only because of you, not her. Just attend class & do the work on time.

Part 1: Amy is one of the nicest and best professors at Chico state! However, this class can be really hard if you don't spend hours practicing, and try to master the materials. Respectfully, I hate the way this class is being lectured! Because what we work on excel everyday in class maybe helped me no more than 5% on the exams!

Part 2: But if you master and do your best on the homeworks, extra credits, practice exams, and attend amy's office hours, you will pass easily! Please take every single chance of any extra credit she offer you! This professor don't want you to fail, unless if you want to fail yourself!

TAKE HER CLASS! I hate accounting and I felt like I not only did well in this class, but I also learned. She offers extra credit that will absolutely help in the end. She is easy to get a hold of and has really good resources to succeed. The only downside is that there is a lot of homework BUT she makes up for it with extra credit.

Amy is a god in world of accounting, if you want to learn, she's the best teacher for that. You won't be able to just "get by" with her. She gives some great lectures and explains everything so well. Learn the material and dont get lazy and you'll do fine.

Professor Amy is great - she genuinely wants you to succeed. With lots of extra credit opportunities and helpful office hours, you can do well in this class even if accounting isn't your strong suit. unstuck study was a game-changer for practice exams.

Would recommend this professor 100%. She explains things very well and is always there if you need help with an assignment. I would definitely take this class again.
