took for both Soc 101 and 110. She's the best Soc teacher at cerritos college! Both fun, informative, and keeps the class from getting bored. She's a UCLA graduate, for those of you who don't know. I've nothing but positive for her.

Dr. Amy Holzgang is the BEST Sociology Professor i know of. She is so helpful in so many ways...I will always remember her 20 years from NOW.

This teacher is super easy! She makes the class fun and interesting. You learn a lot in this class, plus it's an easy A.

she was great. I had the best time in this class. We discussed current issues and tried to help out the hurricane victims "tried" but alas I would recommend her in a heartbeat. Just do the home work and read a little and be analytical and you will love this class

I recently took this class, and it was a great experience. Very helpful and clear teacher. I recommend anyone to take her class! Make sure that you complete the studyguides though, because the tests are usually based on them & they can catch you by surprise. But she's great and I earned an A in this class.

Easy professor/easy subject. Take Sociology 101 with her if you want an easy A. The class was pretty boring, but it didn't have to do with her, it was just the subject matter. She did introduce introducing things from time to time though, and put me on to one of the greatest books I've ever read: The Outliers. So read the extra articles assigned.

Prof Holzgang was one of the best instructors ive had. shes clear about her papers, exams, lectures and everything. 2 exams, one group final, couple extra credit opportunities. just read the sections she wants you to read from the book and you will be alright. she gives a study guide for the exams as well(if needed). one was take home essay exam.

Great teacher!!! Very clear with everything (lectures, exams, homeworks). Her class was an easy A! 2 exams and 1 group project for the whole semester! Just make sure you do the study guides she gives you and for sure you will get an A! Oh! and you do not have to buy the first book just buy the chicken nugget books for the final project!

All i got to say is an easy A to achieved through out the semester. There is only about 7 hw, 4 classwork, 2 exams(easy exam) and 1 easy group project. Also she gives out up to 20 extra credit. I'm telling you her class is so easy if you do all the HW and attend to classes then you will get an A.

Also if you plan to pass the class, you must attend every single class meeting since most of the useful material for the exams will be on her in-class powerpoints. She is the best!

I highly enjoyed Amy's class! The textbook is online and free. Homework assignments are called adventures, she assigns 6 for the semester, they are easy and enjoyable. I've taken two of her classes and she's one of the best teachers I've had, hands down. She tells you when there's going to be a "pop test" and what's going to be on the test. She also posts tests online, and has in-class writing assignments after every chapter instead of a traditional finals. Overall, the class is fun and easy.

Took her this summer hands down one of the coolest professors shes so passionate about socio that it makes you really interested, for summer we did 4 homewrk assignments, a in class essay and for the final its a group project. 1010 would recommend taking her in the summer because the class is more relaxed and it was a lot of fun.

We had to switch to online learning because of the pandemic, which made the class a little bit more difficult. This is a research methods class, so we couldn't conduct any actual research due to social distancing and the lockdown. However, Professor Holzgang did her best to make the class easy yet challenging. I enjoyed her lectures.

Took Amy for SOC101-Intro Sociology Principles online and it was really easy and fun. Amy gives straightforward and easy work, with discussions every week. Gives work that lets you express your ideas and dive deep into sociology. Provides videos and assigned reading so it is self study, however Amy holds coffeetime on zoom to hang out

Took her 9 week class. Learned a lot and the rest of the reviews speak for themselves she's a great teacher. Homework and reading could be done in a day or two but you learn a lot.

This Honor Class section was really good. Each week consisted of activity, discussion and/or quiz. Her class is an easy A if you manage to complete the work in a good time. She grades until the very end so if you want to know your grade, you got to be patient and on top of the assignments. Overall, great professor.

Professor Holzgang's class was fantastic! The content she discusses in lectures sticks with you & makes you notice it in your own life. She's hilarious & peers in the class are very chill too. Assignments are enjoyable & straightforward. You'll get that A & Honors credit. Take her!!! You'll remember at least 20% ;) (you'll get this eventually).

I took this as an online course during the summer, and it was really easy! There was only a few assignments each week. There was a textbook that she had us read from, but she provided a PDF of it on canvas, so you don't have to buy it. The class was really easy and it basically didn't affect my summer at all. I recommend taking her!

I took this class during the summer and it was really easy and interesting. She just assigned a few assignments on Monday and would make them due on Sunday. Easy!!
