fast teacher but pretty clear and cool-- always tells you what's EXACTLY on tests--
Not a good teacher. She goes way too fast and should not be a college professor. Talks to her students like their in the second grade.
Shes an okay teacher but goes way too fast, she drops one test score and does not care about attendance.
she explains everything step by step.
Can go fast but always willing to repeat to make sure you understand. If class ends early, will stay for those who need help. Easygoing and personable. Highly recommended.
She is great. Explains every thing step by step. Tells you what is going to be on the test. Usually gets the test question out of the home-work,(the even numbers). Friendly and willing to help any one. You can ask her any question and she will take her time until you understand.
fast teacher, the first day of class we saw 2chapters of the book.
she's a good teacher. she makes everything easy to understand. if she made me learn math so can you.
Wow, how good is this teacher? I basically failed this course with another teacher but with Loschak everything was easy to understand. She goes over all the homework (which also act as bonus points for tests) and tests are multiple choice.
Does not Explain anything
she is GREATTTTTT..she explains very well, its just a matter of asking and askin again if u dont get it the first time..after we came back from the hurricane she was so so amazingly fair w/ the remainder of the semester...God Bless her
Awesome teacher. She is understanding and is willing to work with you. Glad I had the opportunity to meet her.
she is an o.k. taecher but if math isn't your thing don't take her. she doesn't really spend alot of time making sure you understand the problems. drops lowest test grade. personally she's average but if you love math she's the one.
She is a really good math professor. If you don’t understand she is willing to help you after class. The only “bad” thing about her class is that sometimes she goes a little bit fast. I strongly recommend her. She gives extra credit for homework and tells you exactly what is going to be on the test.
This lady is the sweetest professor I have every met at BCC. Her perkiness almost makes you want to hate her, but she is too loveable. Unfortunetly, her teaching style is not the greatest. She goes way to fast. She is constantly rushing, and you can fall behind very easily, very quickly. If your an OK math student, dont take her.
I'm sorry, but she is not good! She goes way too fast. When you enter a class, and you are dedicated to the material, fully pay attention in class, but walk out not knowing what you just went over, something is wrong! Taking her was one of the biggest mistakes. You'll do alright in the class if you are excellent in math though.
She is a good teacher but does tend to go a little bit fast. If you are having trouble she will stop and explain it more so thats not to bad. She lets you know what you have to study for the test so thats good but they are still kinda hard, 15 questions 12-13 of them are multiple choice the other 2 or 3 are show your work type ones.
Mrs Loshack is a very good teacher, she does go a wee bit fast, (i think cause she is very smart she cant help it) but just pay attention and DO THE HOMEWORK!it will help u understand and do well on tests, and come to class, I missed a few classes so I had to study like hell for the final, but thats my fault, I'm taking her for math from now on!
She goes way too fast and if ur not a strong math student u will get lost. However, she is sooo sweet so even when I was failing her class I still liked her.
best math teacher i've ever had. open book/notes. very clear when explaining everything. amazing
She is an amazing math teacher, I will take her from now on! However I must warn you, this course aint that easy, DO THE HOMEWORK! She gives extra credit for it!And she drops the lowest test grade, and she's so sweet!
Liberal Arts Math 1 and 2 is easy. Amy is very nice, fun, and a great teacher. I really recommend someone who wants to have a pleasant Math class. Project was awesome, easy and took up 2-3 weeks of stupid easy work. Gives extra credit for doing your homework, random checks though, I did no homework, just took notes and did the book review.. A+
She's a wonderful teacher and cares a lot about her students. Gives plenty of extra credit.
I thought she was a horrible teacher. I LOVED math until i took it with her. She shouldn't have become a teacher. She doesn't explain anything well at all. I would never take her again.
I had Mrs. Loschak for both College algebra and pre calc. She is an AMAZING teacher. I highly recommend her.
Take this class and you will get an A, it's as simple as that, not to mention, half of the semester you sit back and watch speech presentations on math, rather then do math work, how fun, pshhh take the class. Not to mention Prof. Loschack is a very good teacher.
horrible teacher! I had to leave because of a family emergency and i missed one test but she would not let me make it up and i failed. She explains everything so fast and even if the whole class doesnt understand her, she still continues on with her schedule.
She is a nice teacher, but not the best of teachers. I think she has tought it for too long so she speed right through things assuming others know everything. I like math and I think that she makes it a little complicated. I basically teach myself from the book!
If you want to save your grades DONT TAKE HER! this teavcherr is horrible, she doesnt help, she goes way too fast, snotty, doesnt care about you. i took her and had to drop becasue i was failing. i was an A math student until her class. save yourself.
Mrs. Loschak is a really good teacher. She might go a little fast but she always takes time to stop and explain if you have a question. Do the homework and study for tests, she takes them seriously. Easy class, good teacher.
She was a very good teacher, very helpful.
SHE WAS AN AWESOME TEACHER, SHE GOES KINDA FAST BUT ITS NOT HARD TO KEPP UP. MAKE SURE TO DO ALL YOUR HOMEWORK SHE COLLECTS THEM FOR BONUS POINTS,I GOT A 99% IN HER CLASS.SHE GREAT TAKE HER IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE COMMITED TO THE CLASS!!!
dont take her she goes really fast.im in her class right now and im struggling. i have her once a week so maybe that has made it harder as well but still there are way better teachers out there. However she does offer bonus point (homework)and u are allowed to call he at home if you have questions about the assignment.not the worst NOT the best!
One of the best math teachers I've had besides Prof.Elusta!!Ms.Loschak is a sweet lady with a big heart. She is very understanding and loves to help. She makes class interesting and math very easy to understand. Her tests are very straight foward. She gives extra credit when she can and in math thats a huge plus!! Take Loschak she's worth ur money!
great
I do not like this teacher. I currently have her and she goes extremely fast. She does not give a care if you fail or pass. I felt extremely lost in her class. And make sure you do not ask questions because sometimes she will make you seem so stupid. If you speak to her one on one, she is kind, but teaching is not her thing.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. SHE GOES WAY TOO FAST. SHE DOESNT GIVE TEST REVIEWS. DONT TAKE IT IF YOU WANT TO PASS.
she is a very nice person but i didnt like the way she taught...she kinda talks to you like you were in high school...she goes kinda fast but youll get used to it...take at your own risk...
I loved her. She is a very nice woman. She DOES care for her students and she Does review for tests upon request. She explains things well and i actually didn't mind being in her classroom. i will be taking her for a second time. Although this isnt to say you dont have try. lectures are almost exactly like test so you must pay attention.
she is a nice person, but goes too fast and doesnt explain things.
Students interested in understand math concepts will not enjoy this class. Teacher bores you to sleep, no enthusiasm in her teaching. Do not recommend this techer
for me this class was very difficult. she goes too fast and is hard to follow. she gave no tests, just quizzes and the final. the quizzes only have about 5 questions on them so if you miss one, you have an 80, two, you have a 60. if you're mathematically challenged, look elsewhere. if you're good at math then it shouldn't be so bad.
If you are a little rusty in math I don't recommend this teacher to you. She doesn't go over the sections well enough and her tests are too short. If you're right out of high school/another math class and have a good understanding of algebra you'll probably pass with an A or B.
Bad teacher didnt want to help and didnt care if 90 percent of the class was failing. she goes way too fast and thinks we are not smart cookies. If you dont want to deal with her attitude move on...
Professor Loschak is an amazing, kind professor, who I think, really cares about her students. She gives hw and at random collects them for extra credit. She's available for office hours to answer all your questions and gives study guides for the tests. The tests are reasonable in every aspect. Do all the hw and study this class should be easy.
Extrememly good professor, she shows step by step what shes doing. She really encourages you to ask, loves to help. She doesnt mind you asking questions at all (contrary to what was said below). She'll do her best in explaining which usually is very well done. Also, extremely kind.
This professor is amazing. I took her for Pre-cal &Trig and she's was extremely helpful. She gives homework & study guides so that you now what to expect on tests so there's no surprises. Overall, if you're willing make the effort to work hard this is an easy A or B.
She is extremely sweet! Really cares about her students, and is very helpful. She does go very fast through the lesson, but is always available for questions. There was h.w. everyday. But it was overall a good class! :)
shes very nice to talk to BUT she goes very fast and stands in front of the board so you cant see what shes writing! i found it very annoying..she will help if u ask if not she moves on VERY fast..her tests are hard too.
I liked her alot and her tests had similar questions in the hw so nothing to suprise you. And she drops ur lowest grade, her final was easy too. But if your lazy, then maybe no.
This teacher is nice but goes way too fast. She writes in front of the board so you cant even see what she is doing. She assumes the class knows the information. After ever lecture she takes only 2 seconds to ask the class if we understood, usually we were trying to quickly write down the example. Most of the class didnt pass.
She is very nice. I would take her class again.
Do NOT take her if you are not strong in math. She goes VERY fast in class. Hard to keep up. I took her for MAC1114 and only a few passed! She is very nice though. Just not an effective teacher.
GREAT TEACHER..........
GREAT teacher in pre-cal/trig! Very helpful if u are willing ask questions. She always emails u back if u have questions on hw. Homework is not graded so it's all up to u to be willing to practice the problems. Getting an A is very possible if ur willing to do the work. Her personality is great, very perky and u can tell she loves her job!
this lady is ridiculous... her homeworks are beyond easy and the tests are very complicated - the tests should be close to the homeworks not at a different level. reaching out to her was useless and I would never recommend anyone take her again. waste of time and money!!!
When my sister warned me not to take this lady, I didn't understand why until my dumb self decided not to listen. She taught the FIRST class and her T.A. taught the rest! The class was ridiculously hard. She bases 200 of your points on ALEKS. Do not take her; 85% of my class failed. I'm retaking it with Jeff Brezner and he's amazing. Be SMART.
GREAT PROFESSOR KNOWS HER STUFF! SHE DOES MOVE KINDA FAST BUT SHE DO ASK IF U NEED FOR HER TO GO BACK OVER IT...WHICH NO ONE WOULD SAY BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT 2 FEEL LIKE THE DUMMY... WE DID HAVE HW EVERYDAY AND HAD ABOUT 5 TEST INCL FINAL...I TOOK THE SIX WEEK CLASS AND ENDED WITH A B... ALSO THERE IS NO LABS BCUZ OF ALEKS ONLINE.. WHICH I HATED
Took the course online, Prof. Loschak was quick to answer questions with great clarity, the course was very well organized, all in all, money well spent on the course. Wish I could have her for my future math courses.
Great Teacher! Attend class everyday; homework everyday; pass with an A or B easily. Very Helpful and clear.
she does everything at the speed of lightning, so stay on your toes and get ready to run. I saw all the prior reviews and I didnt believe it until it happened to me. She does nothing ahead of time, only at the last second and she expects you to be just as fast as she is or else your left in her dust. Not good qualities for a "teacher".
Despite all the warnings I read, I took her anyways. This teacher was amazing. I took trig before and had to drop it. But this semester, Prof Loschak made trig look simple. As long as you do the homework and attend EVERY class, it is very possible to get an A. Loved her!! Gonna try to take her for pre-calc
Great teacher but she has a habit of standing in front of her work so he's hard to follow at times, so take some time to recap what she writes on the board. She's very helpful and has no problem is take the time email you back even with problems late night. just understand what your doing and you will be fine!
Her tests are not professional and requires to show all work to receive full credit. Also, cannot use calculators. Wow, this is the 21st century not the 19th century.
DO NOT TAKE HER! AVOID AT ALL COST. Your entire grade consists of only 3 test and the final. Does not give test reviews and gives hardest questions on tests. Even if your answer is correct she will deduct points if you don't show "all of the work" or if you mis a little thing. She makes you buy the calculator of her choice, lectures too fast. AVOID
I took the online course BIG MISTAKE. If you are not already good at algebra, DO NOT take this class with this professor. The amount of work is ridiculous. Average 90 HW problems per week, if you don't get 75% of each correct you have to re-do the entire randomized set. You could be doing 200-300 equations PLUS all the work in Aleks.
WARNING~Do not take her for any reason. She gives an unreasonable amount of homework atleast 90 problems per week. tests are 10 questions each and are the hardest problems in the section to complete and are very unclear of what she expects. Not understanding or helpful at any sort. She is on staff to make $ for the college cause people must retake
Super Easy class. Course is clear what you see is what you get. There are dates on each assignment so you know when they are due. Do not listen to people complaining, you want an A, this is the class.
Nice lady. There are just 3 tests that make up the grade, the homework isn't graded. The class is extremely easy, if you don't make an A it's your own fault.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER! Not helpful at all! There was a delay on the receiving end of the email and she refused to grade my exams. I had a screenshot of the time assignments were submitted and she didn't acknowledge it. WORST ONLINE EXPERIENCE!
The class started out with about 30 students. By finals, there was only 7 of us. Barely made it out alive. this class brought me so much stress. Your grade is only made up of 3 tests and the final. If you like to learn on your own, take her at your own risk.
By far the best math teacher for online classes. Grade us based only on 3 tests which are printed out and taken at home then scanned in for her to grade. Easiest A in math I have ever received. It is impossible to not pass this class since the exams are not proctored.
One of the easiest online class i've taken. Straight forward powerpoints and test can be taken at your convience since its non-proctered.
AMAZING!!! I am a full time student and this class is the easiest I've ever taken at BC. The grade consist if three test which are not proctored and she gives you a 24 hour to complete it . The test has ten questions. All based off the power points. AMAZING!!!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
She's nice but she feeds us waaaay too much information at once and our grade is based off the midterm and final. She gives homework but doesn't check it. The final wasn't too hard because most of the questions were from the midterm and study guide. She let us use a note card for the exams. You gotta really pay attention and study hard to pass.
I am really glad I took this class and with this professor. She makes statistics easy to understand and takes her time explaining everything. Go to class, do some HW, DO THE QUIZZES, and you will get an A.
Took her for an 8 week session and I am so glad I did. She is honestly one of the best teachers I've taken so far at BC. Show up to class, take good notes and keep up with the quizzes. You're in good hands!
Show up to class, take notes. She explains how to do the problems very well. Do HW and you will do just fine.
Great to see a teacher who actually treats you as a person. One of the few teachers who actually love what they teach and go above and beyond to help students out. Didn't get to complete the class due to conflicts with work, but I would recommend her any day.
the test are really hard you need to study and she's mean or sarcastic. .i mean i still pass the class but I think she should give extra credit
Loved her. I had anxiety about Statistics, but she really made it understandable and interesting. She explained things in laymen's terms and did not assume that every student knew it all. I wish she was teaching STAT2023. She was awesome.
LOVE HER! She's amazing. TAKE HER! Gives clear information, very fair on grades, and patient
Extremely clear and easy class. She's very cheerful and always asks if there are any questions. I loved her. Attendance is up to you, I didnt see people the entire semester, only the day of the final. All tests and homework were online.
She is a very dedicated teacher. Not good at math? Don't worry; she will break it down to you -- and I mean REALLY break it down to you. She will help you understand the material in any way she can. All tests are online (yes, I do mean the Face to face class), except the final. Unlimited attempts on tests! She grades based on all your tests.
She's not a horrible teacher, but she certainly isn't the best. Unless you're good at teaching yourself then I wouldn't recommend her.
Blended class everything was online except the final. Attendance not mandatory to pass. She's very nice and breaks everything down. If you don't like aleks or don't do good with the aleks program then this blended class not for you.
She writes really fast when she does problems so you have to keep up with her. Also try not to forget to do the Unit Assignments because they are worth half of your grade. I'm saying this because I did well in the class overall but I forgot to do one of the assignments which badly hurt my grade.
All online class except meeting her once a week for a lecture where she would write everything on the board WAY too quick and not explain it well at all. The 4 ALEKS assignments are worth half your grade which are decently easy but she wont help you at all. The final is done online also in the testing center and she barely reviewed for it.
This class was easy. The only grades are ALEKS, Unit Assignments (like Tests) and the final. You can use Mathway for almost everything, but the final wasn't easy. She doesn't really teach, just does goes over a couple problems in class.
Prof. Loschak is great. She just has 1 rule, no phones during class. She doesn't care if you come late, don't come or whatever as long as you aren't on your phone. This was a blended class so we met once a week. She would go over a section and do examples then you would just do assignments on ALEKS. You can use mathway but the final will get you.
I found it easy. she put a final review up and the test was easy. If you do your assignments you will have no problem
Dont take this professor if you can avoid her! She doesnt teach you anything she simply works the problem out on the board and feels like shes given you a math revelation. She is a bit sarcastic at times doesnt allow telephones or laptops in her classroom, granted 60% of your grade is assignments and 40% finals shes not clear on what to study
Best math teacher Ive ever had. She helps during office hours and after class. Attendance isnt required. Grades are ALEKS assignments, quizzes, tests and final. She will go over any and everything as many times as you need. She is very patient and caring. I would take her again in a heart beat. Youre grade wont be handed to you but youll learn
She taught everything crystal clearly for the most part. All of the assignments are online on the ALEKS website and you have about two to four weeks to complete them. She posted a review that was pretty much the same as the final. You need to show up to class. I skipped once and tried to do the assignment online at home. It was so difficult.
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PROF. I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I chose to drop her class due to the fact that she was unorganized. She goes over videos and doesn't teach much. She would start lesson 1 & schedule the test while we were in the middle of learning lesson 2 which is RIDICULOUS. She's expects you to know everything about math before even learning.
Took her a couple years ago. Tried to talk to her about my struggles in class and she told me something along the lines of ... that I "knew what I signed up for"? I feel like if a teacher isn't willing to help you out then it really affects the outcome of the semester ... Really loved math before her.
If you have no other choice, take her, but try to avoid this class. She is very mediocre, be prepared to look for help. She does not provide ANY extra credit.
Avoid this class She doesn't care about the student even tho you try to talk to her for a better explanation avoid her
Horrible professor. She does not care about the student. She just shows up to work and breezes by the material. Avoid her if you're not superior at math
This teacher does will not care about you at all. I took this class thinking it was going to be a blended course, like what it said when I signed up, and this woman tells me that none of the online assignments are actually graded. In other words, the only thing she grades are ten question tests (with no multiple choice) and the final.
Taking MAC1140 with Ms. Loschak was super easy and a breeze! She gives you test reviews before all her tests and they are exactly the same as the tests. Usually 10 questions multiple choice. No homework is graded so grade is only dependent on 5 test grades. Highly recommend to anyone!
I took Professor Loschak for MAC1140 (Pre-Cal) and she was an amazing teacher. She always gave reviews a week prior to the exam and the questions on them are the exact same questions you would receive on the test. The class itself is not hard. She assigns HW but doesn't check it. Practice the reviews to pass, don't waste money to buy the book.
At the time math was not a strong subject for me but I passed with an A. She reviews material after the homework and prepares you for tests. She can respond in a snappy fashion at times but she does have a system. If you follow her system, which is pretty straight forward in my opinion, and if you get help in from the math lab, you should pass.
She's a great professor. Her test reviews are exactly like the tests. Take her if you can!
She will give you about 3 homeworks every single class. That's not including quizzes and assignments. It's really hard to keep up.
Awesome professor, as long as you focus in class, she goes over the material pretty well. The same goes for the final test. NO textbook required, she uses Alex online for home works, pre-class assignments, test, etc. I would recommend her to anyone!
So I did the mgf1106 and it was fully online so obviously I wasn't taught by her but the videos by ms hearn shout out to you girl love ya, anyways I never talked to this prof once so if you need an online class and hate being social do this one.
Professor Loschak Was the absolute easiest math prof i have ever taken ! Easy A all you do is watch the videos and do the assignments . The videos are clear and very straight forward ! As long as you complete all homework and Quiz assignments you will pass with an A . She even pushed back some assignments incase we missed any ! Best teacher ever
I wouldn't have passed this class if it wasn't for Professor Loschak. I'm beyond blessed to have had her as my teacher because I probably would have failed with anyone else. Just pay attention to the homework assignments and the video lectures and you'll be fine. Take advantage of her office hours because she responds fairly quickly.
Class was good however she gives you no time at all to take final exams. You would think online school would be flexible for students who cannot attend in person classes however she makes it impossible. Do better
I absolutely love her, she teachers a little fast but its not confusing at all. She cares about if you understand the problem or not, and helps you no matter how little it is. She does assign a lot of homework but that's because I'm taking the 5 credit course instead of the normal 3. I suggest taking her since she's very easy and the sweetest.
Professor is good if you know this stuff already. If you struggle in math, don't take this course especially online. You will struggle, and the timeframes she gives are weird. The videos are also little to no help, they don't explain why they did something, had to go on khan academy or YouTube and do It myself. Take if ur good at math, don't if not
I took this class at a fast pace if you stay on with schedule, you should pass. You don't really talk to the teacher much. It just has videos on how to do the work. It's like a self taught class.
Professor Loschak is a hit or miss - if you're strong in math, you'll likely do well. But if you struggle, the fast pace and lack of thorough explanations can make it tough. Using unstuck AI helped me stay on top of the workload.
This class was straightforward and an easy A. The course structure was well organized and manageable. While I didn't interact with Professor Loschak extensively, she was highly responsive and helpful via email. She values creativity in assigned projects, so be sure to think outside the box!
Simple course with light work: one discussion post (no replies needed), one project (report or PowerPoint), 4–8 homework assignments, and an unproctored test per module. Only 4 modules total. Deadlines vary between 1-2 weeks, but all work closed at 6 PM sharp. The material is easy & mainly conceptual, and Loschak responds quickly to questions.
All activities throughout the term were clearly outlined in the syllabus. I had two weeks for every set of assignments to be completed. THE PRACTICE EXAM IS OPTIONAL BUT YOU SHOULD TAKE IT IN ORDER TO SEE HOW PREPARED YOU ARE FOR THE ACTUAL TEST. Her class is very easy to pass as long as you try your best and put time, effort, and dedication!
Proctored tests that are easy to pass! The professor provided videos that go over all the material. There were unlimited attempts for the homework and practice tests. Stay on top of your work and you will pass with an A! Great class and professor.
