very blonde. "in class assignments" = show up every day. tests are straight from lectures, don't bother reading the book unless you're fascinated. easy grader.
very boring and repetitive. do not do anything in class or you will be pointed out, she'll say "do you have a question" otherwise easy
Straight forward!!! Doesn't try to trick you. As long as you do study guides and go over them a few times and practice test essays you will get an A. Oh yeah and don't miss class, that five points was the difference between me getting an A and A-. She's hot too, but I think that she's pregnant now, and a lot of hot girls in class too.
Very frustrating because the material is very easy but she still makes you go to class by randomly doing pointless in-class assignments. She's on a power trip and gets really upset if anyone isn't paying complete attention. Her lectures basically outline the book and she dwells on very simple concepts. It feels like being back in elementary school
She is a very hot teacher
I really really liked Dr. Reesing. She's a very good teacher...answers your questions, very passionate about her work, uses great examples to help you understand the material. Highly recommended!
i am not lying when I say that this was the most boring class I have ever taken. it wasn't all her fault, the matieral was pretty dull, but i found that class to be hell. Overall, I dunno, it could be worse, but i would disagree with all these other peop
If ya dont like the school, she's a good reason to show up anyway
Very pleasant professor. Summer school with her was very easy and was extremely clear and to the point. Very helpful, and loves discussing interesting topics in class.
i'd say u don't have to read the book since her powerpoints reiterate everything. the tests are pretty hard since u have to learn things about each family in addition to similarities between each of them. she is extremely kind and helpful outside of class. it's a hard class but ur grade is stretched out btwn different things besides tests=good
She is really nice and you'll like her class!
Great instructor, easy course!
She's really nice. You've gotta go to class because some of the lectures have info not in the book, but I recommend it!
Easy A
if you take her class, make sure you stretch your hands alot, because as she lectures, you have to write down the notes (she has powerpoint presentations). she has very good study guides for tests. However, her tests have tricky questions...you actually have to know the materials in order to answer (ex: questions that have 2 possible answers).
Mrs. Reesing is VERY good at lecturing. It's mandatory that you attend the lectures, or else you will miss ALOT of info. for the exams. But if you go to lecture, take GOOD notes, study the exam guides, this class will be an easy A. She is very nice and friendly! I'd take her again if I could do it over again.
Interesting class. Alot of info 2take n but class nts helps. go2 class, there r random class assignments. Bk. is very interesting, n contains alot of info. Test r easy. she posts study guides before the test that has the test content including 2essay Q's. easy A w/class nts n some bk reading!! n very nice, sweet, helpful teacher. class recommended
Dr. Reesing is really great! She has a really fun personality and she is really kind and understanding. Go to class, you have to take notes but it's not hard to pay attention the class is fun and she knows what she's talking about. Book rarely needed just a few questions on the test
Dr Reesing is an amazing professor. She's enthusiastic about the subject, and adds in stories about her daughter that make it fun. In class assignments check attendance, & help learn the material-they're an easy 100%. Just go to class and take notes; it's an easy A+. Has super helpful study guides for tests also! I definitely recommend Dr Ressing!
Internet class. Very nice layout. Both Professor and TA were very helpful. My only advice...TURN YOUR WORK IN ON TIME and follow the instructions for paper layout, etc. and you'll do fine!
I previously took PGS341 (developmental psych) so this class was mainly a review. Regardless, she is a very good teacher and I still did learn in her class. Go to class, take notes, do the in-class easy assignments, and then study your notes for the test! You also do an easy/fun Mid-life project. A's are easily attainable!
a lot of material, study guides help narrow it for tests
Very organized and clear lectures, study guides extremely helpful, test questions are fair. My only complaint is that she sometimes really tones down the "offensive" content of the lecture as if we're back in middle school and can't handle talking about real issues like adults. 9 in-class assignments, 8 count for your grade.
Proffesional, patient, enthusiastic teacher who knows her stuff!
she makes it really interesting and easy to understand, you have to come to class, she doesn't put notes on blackboard. the final project is really fun! good class.
She's a good teacher and tries to make the info fun. 9 in-class assignments, 1 paper, 4 tests. Tests can be tricky if you don't know your stuff. She makes the material easier to understand. If you have questions she is great about answering them.
No interaction with professor but T.A. is very attentive, and helpfull. If you do the study guides, you will get an excellent grade.
the class projects in her class are very entertaining and she is amazing in lectures! Come to class and pay attention you will do well.
Good lecture notes
the materical seems easy but her tests are impossible. it is a TON of material and the questions are worded in a tricky way. she is very nice and the lectures are interesting. its just the tests that make this class hell. you HAVE to go to class. you need all the points you can get with those in class assignments.
She's honestly the reason I changed my major to Family and Human Development. She's an overall happy person and come in class ready to teach. Her lectures are very detailed and you get a lot out of them. If you do the study guides, you'll do fantastically well on the exams. She really loves reading the simple interview projects. I recommend her.
you must have your book since it's an online class. tests are open book so it's hard not to get an A. this class it very very doable. quite easy, but really interesting. i highly recommend it!
If you go to class and do the study guides, then you should do well in this class. I mean, she gives you EVERYTHING you need to know for the test INCLUDING the essay question. Amy is extremely helpful, so if you need help, just ask. Attendance is mandatory because she has in class assignments. This class is NOT difficult and she really wants everybody to succeed. That's why nothing outside of the study guide is ever on the exam.
I loved this class! She is seriously such a good teacher and so nice. Just go to class and it's pretty easy to pay attention. Her tests are easy if you go over the study guides. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. :)
Really great teacher, and such an easy class! You have to go to class to get the points for the in class assignments that she gives out on random days. Her lectures were not hard to sit through, the material was actually pretty interesting. She gives great study guides to help prepare for the tests!
Dr. Reesing is awesome! I took this class online. If you read the chapters and use her study guide to prepare for the exams you will do great. Be sure to participate in the blackboard discussions. Those points add up! The textbooks are actually interesting as well. I received an A. I also marked the pages on my study guide. It was open book online.
She is so nice and makes everything clear. The material is not difficult and she provides you with all the resources needed to excel. Use the study guides and you will do fine!
Great professor. Great class. 3 tests, 1 essay, and 8 random easy in class assignments for attendance.
LOVE HER!!! She is so cute and a big sweet heart. Info is very interesting. As long as you fill out the study guides you will do fine. Do well on the tests because that is what determines your grade. Tests are easy though.
She is an incredible professor. She teaches very well and uses many analogies related to the concepts that make the work simple for students to understand and relate to. Her lectures are easy to listen to, because she doesn't have a monotone voice and she makes the topics interesting. RECOMMEND TAKING HER CLASS
this professor is AMAZING... I'm always looking for an easy A and this is the class just for that. she has an assignment almost every week but they are usually discussion boards where you really only state your opinion. tests are easy, she provides a study guide. I didn't even read the books at all...
She is interesting and has plenty of stories that relate to the material. She only gives one big assignment and she gives very detailed study guides for all the tests. She is kind and willing to help and she provides detailed notes. Just always attend class to get the notes and you will do great!
Wow I totally wrote the below comment about the wrong teacher. I feel stupid. I was referring to Damgaard, not Reesing. Reesings FAS 498 online class was great! There were multiple discussion boards, multiple assignments, and it was interesting comparing the two textbooks. Great teacher, I would definitely recommend her, sorry again.
Absolutely fantastic online teacher. She usually responds within an hour of any emails. She is extremely helpful online and at her office hours. Very knowledgeable, grades fairly and assigns fun writing assignments and online group assignments. She uses a Virtual Child which makes the class even more fun. You won't regret taking this professor.
Requires a special browser for exams(officially spyware) that caused freezing. Can only see one question at a time on exam, annoying to go back through. Lots of busy work for what I took as an elective. Will not discuss grades through email, only phone or in person. Got an A, but had to work for it.
Nice, helpful teacher!
Very interesting class full of useful information. Nice teacher too!
Good teacher and way easy class just as long as you keep up with the hw. Tests are a breeze, its pretty much just the study guide. I took it online which made it even easier. The only catch, you can't BS your work. She leaves comments on every assignment and is rather picky and precise. Other than that easy class.
Great class and useful information for later in life. Amy and her TA Ashley were very good at responding to your questions. Overall good class and instructor
I took this class online and it was pretty easy except her calendar for when things are due is extrememly confusing. I ended up losing points on the Virtual Child because it wasn't 'grown' in time. Also, buy the book. I didn't bother to and my tests scores showed for it.
Good class. Easy assignments and ok tests! Use your text and the study guides that she provides to get an A on the exams, then it is smooth sailing!
Her class is easy. However her times to submit are confusing and she does not know the word forgiving. She seems helpful but is not willing to extend her hand. Do the work on time and you can pass it with your eyes closed. But don't expect any sympathy if your even a minute late.
She's a GREAT teacher!
Very sweet lady, great professor. Gives tons of examples in class that relate to her lecture material. Gives super helpful study guides for tests. Attendance is important because she doesn't post lec notes online and also for 9 (easy) in class assignments she gives throughout the semester. One paper besides the 4 tests and in class assignments.
Very good teacher. Probably one of my favorites at ASU. She is very helpful and nice Tells you exactly what you need to know on the tests which are easy if youve been attending class. You should go to class, its really interesting and she gives random class assignments which can hurt your grade alot if you miss them. I would recommend her to anyone
Dr. Reesing is a GREAT teacher. She actually loves what shes teaching and cares about her students. She uses real life examples which helps you understand the concept a lot better. There are 9 in class assignments and 4 tests. She gives you a study guide which is based off the test but if you want an A in the class you have to study hard and read.
I took her online parenting course and it was a cake walk! however, there is something due every friday. but her exams are easy because she provides an exact studyguide of what to expect. I would definitely take another one of her classes, shes super nice and interesting material
Such a great teacher!
This class was an easy A or B if you read and study the study guide. She is very nice, funny, and willing to help you. She did however have 4 exams with 5 chpts in each one! That's a lot too study for. Also, she did have a lot of notes on her ppts. In order to pass her class, go to lecs, or you will be lost and when she has in class assignments.
BEST class ever! Dr. Reesing is such an easy professor, and the class is interesting, so you actually want to do your work! There aren't many assignments, and the ones there are, are pretty easy! Also, you get to raise a virtual child! So fun! Easy upper division course for ANYONE!
She is a great professor and ready to help anyone that asks her. She goes out of her way to teach. I took this online with her and have an A+ in the class. You definitely have to put in the work and FILL OUT THE STUDY GUIDE for the exam. You have to do all the work from DAY ONE. She does NOT give extra credit. Definitely recommend her though!
SUPER EASY A. Do the work, get the A. simple as that. Any questions you have, get answered instantly over email. The class has one or two things due per week, however super easy class that you can actually apply to your life.
She is super sweet, and the material is pretty easy. Notes are easy to take and simple to understand, but she doesn't post them online. The tests are online, and she has study guides. There's not a lot of assignments to do, but it was still an easy A! I would definitely recommend her as a professor!
Interesting course. Super clear on what's expected of you. Communicates well with students. Just stay on top of the due dates. Doesn't take a ton of work, but it's also not just a class you can spend 5 minutes on and expect an A. Put in an honest effort and you'll do fine. Come expecting an easy A for doing nothing, you'll be disappointed.
I took this class online, and it was pretty easy. Your grade consists of discussion boards, short assignments, a timeline assignment (that was actually kind of fun) and 3 tests. You don't even need to read all of the chapters - just do the study guide and you'll do fine on the tests. I got an A, and I definitely recommend this class!
This class would have been relatively easy had I have had the time to dedicate to it. If you're a working college student with rigorous classes just looking for an easy elective, don't take it. The due dates are kind of all over the place, being as busy as I am it's not a class with a structure I'd take again. If you've got time - go for it.
Easy class! never studied and always did well on the exams. the whole class is common sense and you get to raise a virtual baby
i took it online, easy class. never read the book and i got a B. i would have gotten an A but i missed a few assignments. all exam questions are from the power points and a few common sense. print out the notes before an exam you'll be fine.
Fun class. Easy material. Hot teacher
Easiest online class. Raising virtual child is simple and easy. Just keep up with the posts/writings and you'll get an A. 3 exams. No cumulative final. Study guides for every exam. All very detailed and helpful for exam. Open book. But timed so be careful. Never did the readings or lectures and have aced every test. Highly suggest this class.
Excellent professor. Lectures are all through PowerPoint and she goes into detail in lectures. Attendance is not really required, but is highly recommended, as test material is mostly on lectures. Are also 10 in class assignments that you need to be in class for to get points. Tests are online and are simple if you have the material and go to class
Easy class. I took it online. The tests are almost straight from the book so they're really easy as long as you know how to use the book and look for things. Make sure you turn everything in on time. She's really nice and fast at emailing you back. I highly recommend it.
She's a great professor. Her tests are straight from lectures and the textbook and as long as you read the textbook and understand the lectures, her assignments are easy too. I learned a lot from her class.
She is so sweet and nice. All the tests are online and you are able to use your book for them. Attendance isn't mandatory but will help your grade majorly. She was always quick to respond to emails and makes the class fun and exciting. One of my favorite classes. I would recommend this class!!
Easy class, online exams, easy in-class assignments. No reason to not get an A.
She is my favorite professor by far. Online test are super easy and about 95% of the answers come from the lecture notes. Very few come from the book. You DO have to attend class to get the notes unless there is someone you can get them from but there are a couple in class assignments. Overall I loved her class and she makes lecture interesting.
Dr. Reesing is by far one of my favorite professors at ASU. She is clear on what she expects from her class and extremely helpful when students have questions. The assignments are not hard at all & only 3 exams. I would recommend her class to anyone! Even if you're not in the major, take her course if you just need an extra class to take. :)
I took the class online. An A is extremely possible. Just read the book and watch the powerpoints a week or 2 before the test. The timeline assignment is also really easy but time consuming. Excellent professor.
She is an amazing teacher, very knowledgeable and understanding. The class is reasonable as far as workload goes and if you read and pay attention you will have no problem getting an A. She is very pretty and sweet. An excellent teacher.
I loved this class! Dr. Reesing is one of my favorite professors! There is a few assignments but it is not hard to get an A! Loved this class!! Definitely recommend it :)
This class is as easy as your A,B,C's. There is no reason that you should get anything below an A+. All 4 exams are online, and notes/study guides can be used. 7 in class assignments that are basically completion points, in addition to two simple projects.
Dr. Reesing is a great instructor in my opinion. Her standards and expectations are clear. Attendance is somewhat mandatory since there are unannounced in class assignments. Tests are not too difficult considering she gives out study guides. Both projects are easy to grasp. Don't bomb the tests and you can easily achieve an A.
My favorite instructor at ASU. Sweetest lady ever. Her class is interesting and comprehensible. Her lectures are sincere and to top it all off she is beautiful! Would recommend her class to anyone.
Amy is by far one of the best professors at ASU. I am taking her for both FAS301 and CDE232, and she makes both classes very interesting and fun. She is very clear on her instructions, and as long as you put forth effort and actually do the assigments, you will receive a good grade. She gave extra credit in both classes as well. Great professor!
Awesome and clear professor, she deserves to be acknowledged for her teaching. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a online class. She grades fairly and as long as you put forth effort, you are guaranteed an A. Although I was on the cusp of a B, I am proud to say I got that A =D Thanks Prof. Reesing for making my online experience a joy!
Really great professor. You can tell she is actually interested in what she's teaching and really knows her stuff. I would recommend her to anyone, she's fantastic. She grades really fairly and is very nice.
Easy class to get an A in. Only 4 discussion board posts, 3 tests, and 1 very easy assignment. For the tests I just skimmed the book and her notes lectures she posts and got all A's. Just be prepared. Overall, easy class.
Reesing is one of the best professors at ASU. She also makes the material interesting, even if you didn't have much interest to begin with. Don't miss lectures though, because there are in class assignments--missing one can mess up your grade. But if you show up you will get 20/20! Very easy, I totally recommend!
This is the 2nd course I've taken with her. She was a great instructor. This online course was not difficult and was easy to achieve a good grade if you put forth some effort towards it. She supplied study guides which proved very helpful when it came time to take the test. The virtual child made the class interesting. Highly recommend Dr. Reesing.
Great teacher! I loved Reesing. Her assignments were very straightforward and helped you to expand your knowledge by thinking outside the box rather than just memorizing terms. Stay on top of assignments and ask questions. She gives out study guides and if you fill these out using the powerpoints first and then the book later you should do fine!
The class is pretty easy! She has responded to all of my emails in a timely manner! Grades pretty leniently and seems very nice! Half way through the semester, got an A on the first test. Have not looked at any of the lectures or videos that she posts but I seem to be doing fine!
This class was easy, fun, and I felt I learned from it. I think she understands how students learn and how to keep them engaged in the material.
I'm in grad school and this teacher's notes and lectures are STILL helping me! Thanks Professor Reesing!
Such an awesome teacher! I took her for previous classes and I was not disappointed here. Lots of opportunity to succeed! 6 exams, and a discussion post for each and then a final project! It is a really interesting course!
This is an AWESOME class! You get to raise a virtual child, and as long as you read the basics of the book you are GOLD. I didn't read the whole textbook, only skimmed and I got an A. She makes it so much fun!
Amy is such an amazing teacher. She is helpful, the classes are easy and you learn a lot. I've taken 3 of her classes and I've gotten A's in all of them!
Took this class online, very very easy. 3 discussion posts, raise a virtual baby (write 5 like 1-page journals), 3 writing assignments that are all personal opinion and 3 tests. If you get the etext the tests are very easy, but you should still fill out the studyguides beforehand
Took online course. Overall good professor. 3 Tests (study guides given for all), raising a virtual child (that I really enjoyed) &short journals along with the raising of the child, a few discussion boards and 2 writing assignments that allow personal experiences. Overall enjoyable course with professor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Extremely easy class and a super easy A! She's a super kind and helpful teacher and she does a great job making the course interesting. You also get to raise a virtual child, which was pretty fun
This class was super easy but good. Small writing assignments that are basically your opinions on parenting or reflecting on the class material. Tests super easy, never even used study guide. I thought raising the virtual child was super fun too. I highly recommend this class if you are thinking about having kids soon or need a fun/easy elective.
Took class online. Accelerated course. A lot of reading, but if you are dedicated you should end up with an A.
She seems like a nice person but her grading is totally random and not based on what you deserve. I think part of my not earning an A was how I totally destroyed the argument of one of the social parenting theorists she asked us to comment on. Profs sometimes get their knickers in a twist if you fail to go along with their dogma.
Super easy. If you read the chapters then the tests should be easy. Some weeks I didn't even read. Got a solid A in the class.
SUPER nice, open notesbook on test, really easy class
Super easy class! Interesting too
Dr. Reesing is by far the best teacher I've had at ASU. You can tell she has a big passion for Human Development. Unlike some classes, her lectures are actually relevant to what's going to be on the test. Makes class very interesting. Definitely going to take another one of her classes in the future!!
Good class. Not too hard. Discussion boards, tests and a PowerPoint assignment.
Great class. Do the projects and you should get a decent grade. Tests are ok, but I found them to be a little more difficult than normal. Great subject matters.
Professor Reesinn was amazing. She truly made the class interesting. Honestly I just took it because I heard she was hot (she definitely is) and I ended up really liking the class. 4 exams, in class assignments, a timeline assignment and midlife interview. Pretty easy class. If you show up for lecture and take good notes, you'll pass.
I liked this professor so much I signed up for another class with her. She is very straightforward and no nonsense; tests are the same way. Lots of reading, but not labor intensive. Definitely printread her lectures because she does a very good job covering the test info on them. I appreciate her ability to teach without killing us with work.
Amazing class! Dr. Reesing is so sweet and really cares about what she's teaching. You have to buy the book! Every exam (4 total) is online taken at home and open note and about half of the test is on the book material and the other half is on class notes verbatim and you have to go to class since she doesn't put her slides on blackboard.
straight forward class, would have been an easy A if I didn't miss a lot of in class assignments. One paper due near end of semester that's easy, lectures are interesting if you're ever planning on having kids or you're just interested in developmental psych type stuff. I enjoyed it a lot and learned about myself and how my upbringing shaped me
This class is extremely easy and extremely interesting. Reesing is very flexible and willing to work with you on grade issues etc. I highly recommend her
I took this class online. It is very easy. Take notes from lectures and then read or skim the chapter before the tests (online) so you know where the information is to look up. Tests are obviously open-book, open-note. Lock-down browser is used. VERY interesting subject, and the material was presented very well.
Reesing is one of the best professors I've had. She swears you need the book but you don't. Her lectures & powerpoints are fantastic, she's very organized. If you go to all the lectures & copy everything, you'll do great on the tests. Tests are online using lockdown browser. I got above an 87 on them all by just my notes. She's also pretty. 1010.
This class was as basic as it gets. Not difficult at all, just follow along with the powerpoints and reading. In all honesty, I allowed myself to forget about this class since it was online and not very difficult. The hardest thing about this class was the timeline assignment, which was actually quite fun! Good class to take online for an easy A.
I took this class online while going through a difficult personal situation. Dr. Reesing was nice enough to re-open the assignments which saved my grade. The course is very straight-forward and she's genuinely passionate about teaching. I would definitely take her for another class.
This class is very easy and simple as long as you go to class, she does not post her power points. She gives random in class assignments and there are 3 tests. The test are pretty hard you need the book for them and also need good notes. There is a 2-3 page paper (super easy). Class is fairly interesting, always lasts the whole class time.
There are 4 big tests which cover material from the book (which you read on your own time) and from the lectures (which you have to attend class to take notes on). As long as you attend class and study for the tests, it's an easy A.
I loved this class! She provided many personal stories about her family which made lecture interesting and fun. It is mandatory to show up since you have to either type or hand write her power point notes. I typed them so during the online exams, I could navigate through the notes very easily so I got an A on each exam. I would highly recommend!
I am taking another one of her classes because of how great she was. Very minimal assignments and interesting topics! She formats her online course extremely well.
My first online summer class, she has it set up so organized, is super clear in her expectations! I look forward to doing my work and getting the best grade that I can on my tests. It seems that she bases her approach on how she feels it will most help students and not all prof are like that. Some will not alter their ways for the benefit of us!
She was very clear with her expectations in class. She asked questions to give good examples of what we learned, and tried to tell funny stories. Class consists of 7 in-class assignments, 3 tests, and one project. They assignments were fun and interesting. Just do the study guides for the test and have your book handy.
A subject I'm interested in so I didn't mind reading the book and taking notes over it in order to do well you could probably get a B without it though. Took it online. It was easy enough if you did what was suggested/required.
Take this teacher!!! She is everything a professor should be
I took human development online. This class is really easy! Take it with Reesing! There is only 3 test. She gave enough time that you could look up all the answers; however, she does use a lockdown browser. Do the study guide and you will forsure get A's on all the exams. She also has a few DB throughout the semester 350 for initial & 100 response
Dr. Reesing was organized and very clear on her expectations. Her lectures are easy to understand and she provides a study guide for each of the exams. The book is necessary for some discussion boards and some of exam questions. 3 exams, 4 discussion boards, and a project. If you do what she says, it's an easy A!
Interesting class, the virtual child is fun. Exams are fairly easy and the discussion boards are easy as well. I recommend getting the electronic version since you can do a word search.
Expectations were clear and responded quickly if help was needed. Not many assignments so every point counts. 1 major project. 4 discussion posts with responses. 3 Tests that require a lockdown browser. 1 Extra credit option worth only 5 points. Do all your work and each exam study guide and you will do fine. Not sympathetic for missed work.
Great professor! Class easy to pass if you keep track of work. Test not hard if you understand the basics of lectures and reading, especially if you use study guide. Not a tough grader and lectures are interesting. I copied lecture slides and used study guide to pass my tests with As. Assignments not hard and easy to do. Take this class:)
She's extremely sweet! You will have to come to class for the random in-class assignments she has! Tests are online, open book, lock down browser. If you do your work and the study guide/ have a general idea of where things are in your lecture notes and textbook, it's an easy A.
I am taking her right now, so far so good, but the only issue I am having is most of the assignments are due at weird times, like the test has to be completed on Friday before 5pm. It's hard for someone who has work and school full time. DB's weekly, quizzes weekly, 2 papers, and a virtual baby. That's about it.
If you are passionate about children, you will likely enjoy this class and earn an easy A. The expectations for the semester are very clear and unchanging. Attending class is your best bet unless you want to read the long textbook. Amy is very friendly and doesn't bore you to death.
Great teacher, easy content. Worst part is that deadline are either Wednesday or Friday at 5:00PM. Really unfair if you have a job that goes beyond that point.
She is awesome! She is very helpful if you have questions and is very clear on her expectations. There is a quiz every week, but as long as you listen to the lectures you will be fine!
Dr. Reesing is a great teacher. Her expectations are clear, she gives specific feedback on assignments and engages her students. She makes the class personable and the topic interesting. Follows typical format with a discussion board and test each week. 2 writing assignments. Raise a virtual child (this was fun!). Hope to take her again!
Amy is wonderful! You can tell she puts a lot of work into her lectures and really tries to make class as engaging and interesting as she can. She's very clear on guidelines, and very adamant about coming to class as her power points are not online. But honestly, it's fun going because we learn interesting stuff and she's passionate about it.
Overall not a bad class, it was fairly easy. The only problem were some of the tests were hard and some of the questions you have to guess on because they're not in the book or notes.
Lectures are so long and boring and she has random class assignments so you cannot skip. There are 3 online tests and 1 big paper. Her tests are easy as long as you do the study guide. I would definitely recommend her.
Have taken 2 of Reesing's classes now, definitely would not recommend. No matter how good of a student you are, and no matter who is at fault, Reesing will NOT make an exception to help out a student. Went to every class, never received any form of "help" from this "professor." Lost 30 pts and my "A" due to a blackboard glitch and was told "sorry"
She requires respondus lockdown for all tests and I took B session and there was a test due every Friday by 5pm and every week you had a db and a response due, as well as 3 writing assignments and virtual child. get the book online, it will save you. If you know how to manage your time it is really not that bad and tests are easy with book
Go to each class and take notes on the power point. Her power point gives the exact answers to the study guides, which are basically the tests. There are 4 tests, 8 in class assignments (3 of them are group), and one timeline project that takes some times to complete. She's an amazing professor and extremely helpful and interesting.
Loved her as a teacher. Definitely should show up to class to take good notes as not everything you need to know for the test is in the book and she won't tell you specific dates for in class assignments. Very clear with her study guides in telling you what's on the test. Wants you to succeed.
The only class in college I received a C+. Everything is due at a none reasonable time, unrealistic for working students. Tests were ridiculous. I made a mistake and forgot the DB, still wrote it and everything, asked if it was possible to get at least partial credit and she didn't care. No one is perfect. That DB would have saved my B, but no.
Prof. Reesing is a great! The class was interetsing and the assignments were pretty easy. It was clear what needs to be done to recieve an A and she gives great feedback on all assignments.
I took Reesing for CDE232 as well and I love her classes. I felt this class was interesting and super easy. There were few assignments along with raising a virtual child. We were required to write a few journals, DB and one writing assignment at the end of semester. I would highly recommend her.
This class is very straight forward. If you are taking the online class you definitely need the book. The class is only based on 3 exams so you must do well. There is also one project and a few discussion boards. Overall, it is an easy class. Dr. Reesing seems very nice and is passionate about her work.
I also took her for FAS301 and got an A in that class. Be sure to go to class since she'll have in-class assignments worth 20 points each (don't miss more than one of these!) and doesn't post lecture notes online to blackboard. She's a very nice lady who does a great job of making lectures quite interesting. Tests are very fair, also.
Dr. Reesing is one of the sweetest teachers I've met. She incorporates her experiences with parenthood when teaching child development and demonstrates passion in teaching. She is helpful and accessible outside of the classroom.
I really enjoyed my online course with Dr. Reesing. The textbook was engaging, but very extensive reading. Study the PP lectures. Start your Timeline Assignment early (and have fun with it). This was probably the most organized online course I've taken. I can't wait for FAS 301 this semester with her!
This class has been one of my favorites at ASU. Amy is an incredible person and i looked forward to going to class everyday. You learn lots of important things and the class is fairly easy. As long as you do the work and study for the tests. You will be fine. But you can't turn in things late and there are a couple in class things you can't make up
Professor Reesing is a class act and is super nice. She usually makes you watch videos from home on Fridays so you dont have to come to class. Her tests were hard because she puts viedeo questions.
By far one of my favorites classes and professors I've encountered at ASU. Class was incredibly easy and lectures were important since some test questions came from the lectures (which aren't available online). You can get by without reading the textbook but its extremely helpful when taking the exams. Extra credit assignments and projects are easy
Enjoyed this class a lot. Exams are straight from the study guide so make sure to fill it in and look over the given powerpoint slides (and the notes at the bottom of them). Easy project and discusssion posts. Recommend this class and professor highly.
I took this class online and actually had a hard time with it. There are about 5 discussion board posts/responses, one project, extra credit and then 3 tests. These tests for me though were quite hard. They are on respondus lockdown and if you don't read/have your textbook you will not pass. All the information is in the text but that book is v big
There are 3 exams, 4 discussion boards, and a timeline assignment. The discussion boards are pretty easy. The exams are not that hard as long as you do the study guide. Start the timeline assignment at least 2-3 weeks before the deadline because it takes a while to finish.
Took it online - exams aren't the easiest, so definitely study the textbook and lectures beforehand! I recommend printing the lectures. The timeline assignment was time consuming but so much fun to do. Discussion boards are simple but definitely be thorough and thoughtful. She always gives feedback and is so sweet. Exams are heavily weighted.
This class was pretty test heavy, so I had trouble with this class. I'm a solid writer, but without studying the lectures and textbook, the exams are ridiculous.
Aside from being test heavy, the grading of discussion board posts was extremely nitpicky. I've taken 400 level courses in this field that are not as nitpicky in terms of citations, etc. IT was really frustrating because it felt like a research methods course at times.
This class was extremely easy. I did everything last minute and got an A. However, I did take this class online. Do the study guides which take like an hour for each chapter in which there are 20. If you are lazy you will get a B. Some, but not too much effort you can pull off an A. Easy class overall.
Her grading criteria is very clear and made lecture interesting. The class was easy but you really had to read the textbook in order to pass the tests. Also, the powerpoints aren't posted and there are in class assignments that cannot be made up so go to class
Took FAS301 online and loved her lectures. Her grading is clear and she gives really detailed feedback on discussion board posts and the paper due at the end of the semester. There are 3 tests and definitely read the book for it. She was responsive through email and is an overall good professor.
The easiest online class that i have taken! Theres a few discussion boards, as well as a 3 page paper towards the end. For the test i just did the study guide when she released them and used them for the test. TAKE IF YOU NEED A GPA boost
This class was super easy. Only had four discussion boards, three exams, and a little project. This class was a little harder for me considering I never bought the textbook which would've been really helpful, but I was able to get through the study guides she posts through google and still managed to get an A. Really responsive and sweet professor!
There are a few discussion boards, you raise a virtual child and have to write journals about the different stages of childhood, and there are three test. It wasn't too hard, but she's very picky about APA formatting. I had a lot of little points taken off, EX. .75 points.
Class is not hard by any means, assignments and expectations are very clear and easy. The only problem I have with this course is that it is not flexible. Assignments are due at 5pm and will not be excepted a minute later even if completed. For those taking online classes because they work 9-5 this is extremely inconvenient.
I took this class online, but Reesing always answered my emails and really took into consideration what I had to say. Fairly easy grader as well. Keep up with deadlines and you'll be fine!
Dr. Reesing is super nice and her class is not hard at all. Though attendance is not mandatory, beware of random in-class assignments. A lot of the test material also comes from in-class lectures. just do the study guides and you'll be fine!
Reesing is by far the best professor I've ever had. She uses power points w/ bullet points & goes into detail purely from memory; doesn't have to read a slide to teach you. Makes the subject interesting & understandable. 3 tests given online. Do study guides (info from slides & textbook) & you'll get an A every time. Very clear with gradin criteria
Dr. Reesing was such an amazing professor! I highly recommend her to anyone considering taking her classes. She makes the lectures fun and allows for class participation in discussions. Test aren't too hard as long as you pay attention in class and take good notes. There are in-class assignments that are important to your grade, but aren't hard.
This professor was so wholesome, it was very fitting to have a mom teaching this course. This class was more like a hybrid course but not listed as so (some days you don't have to go to class). 3 online exams, one easy paper, 7 in class assignments, and raise a virtual child. This course was very straight forward and I really enjoyed it!
If you need to take human development, take REESING. Her online class is simple and she gives good feedback. Best online class I have ever taken
Professor Reesing online class is very well organized and straightforward. I have never seen her in person but she seems like a very caring person. The textbook is quite long but the lecture power points summarize most of it. She has a project called a timeline assignment which takes time but is easy, start a week before due date.
Gives random in class participation grades so dont skip. There is always a chart showing exam results. Tons of B's and C's, and the amount of F's and A's were always similar. I didn't use the textbook much and was fine, however I also never missed class. Your grade directly relates with the work you put in. Very nice and caring teacher!
Super easy online course. I would take wait until she released the study guide for each exam, then take her online lecture notes and only fill in with the textbook if her powerpoints missed something on it. Super easy A. Timeline assignment took a while but I got a perfect score. Discussion boards graded easy and she gives plus grades. Great class!
She is fine, be aware that the timeline assignment is time-consuming. Also it takes time to get the studyguide ready for her class. Don't try to rely on your textbook when you are taking the exam, or you will get lower grades you would expect
No extra homework just 3 exams and the timeline assignment. Do not wait until last minute to do the project. She provided online lecture powerpoints on each chapter that were straight to the point which I appreciate. Even though exams are open book and you can use your notes, do not solely rely on them. Responded to my emails fairly quickly.
FAS 301 is a very fun elective class where you have the opportunity to raise your own virtual kid. Overall very easy as long as you do the reading and keep up with assignments. I forgot to do a journal (completely my own fault) which is why I got a B not an A.
Dr. Reesing is the best. Despite being an online class, she's always accessible and such a pleasure to work with. The class is very straightforward and simple, especially with the textbook. Exams are most of your grade and timed, but open notes are allowed, which is a great 'safety blanket.' There is also one project. Take this class with Reesing!!
Dr. Reesing is so sweet. She uses a lot of examples in class which makes the material much easier. You're graded on a couple of in-class assignments, a virtual child that your raise, one writing assignment, and three exams. Easy and interesting class. Highly recommend.
FAS301 with Reesing was great! She is one of the sweetest people. Raising a virtual child was a really fun assignment. The rest of the grade is 1 paper, in-class assignments (so show up!), and exams, which she provides study guides for. The study guides take time but are helpful. She also provides a few extra credit opportunities. Highly recommend!
Professor Reesing is very caring but has her TAs grade discussion boards extremely hard. If you miss one punctuation mark, have one misspelling, or miss a capitalization, you miss 10% on that grade. Also, in order to get an A, you need a 93% in the class. I have heard it is easier to take this class in person. Frustrating grading criteria.
I'm happy I took this class online instead of in class because it is so much easier. On the contrary, the IA grades the discussion boards harshly. I had to work harder on my DB's than I had to in English and I still got 9/10's. Dr. Reesing is so nice over the phone and easy to contact. The weekly test ans. can be found on the slides or in the book
I absolutely recommend taking her parenting this online course for FAS301! Super easy A, you get to raise a virtual child and you write a few journal entries describing your experiences, strict on APA but they're like 300 words. You do use your book, but you could get by, skimming the material and not watching the lectures. Answers are on quizlet!
Easy A class! I did CDE online for session A. Theres a quiz due every Friday but open the whole week. And a discussion board every week, but those are so easy! She emailed us reminders every week about what was due so you wont forget. Its also an interesting class and I highly recommend. Plus theres extra credit.
There's an exam every week- open book exams. She doesn't give you a study guide or provide lectures though. If you wanted to, you could complete most of the work in 3 weeks (that is what I did, I read a chapter every day and finished class early). Wished she offered more extra credit because she has unrealistic expectations.
This was the first iCourse I've taken at ASU and I'm so glad I did. It was really easy, we had about 2 chapters assigned each week. On Wednesday's we'd have a discussion board due and on Fridays, a quiz on the chapters. No final exam. Super easy. Dr. Reesing and her IAs are really nice too.
The class was boring. She is a nice, caring professor but the content was unbelievably boring. I think she struggled to adapt the class to the zoom format, and it made every class feel incredibly awkward. She expected too much participation and discussions about deep topics without making the class feel comfortable with each other.
Lots of lectures. The tests seemed very focused on specific things in the lectures and could be difficult, but she gave study guides that helped. The virtual child aspect was fun. Overall, a fine professor
Raise a virtual child in the beginning (very fun). HW is Discussion Boards & Journal entries about your child every week. 3 EXAMS. She provides study guides which are helpful but exams can be difficult. 1 writing assignment that's minimum 3 pages; very easy! 1 Extra credit which is a discussion board of 5 acts of kindness in a discussion board!EASY
This class was both interesting and easy if you put the time into reading the textbook. Reading the textbook allows you to get the background knowledge needed for weekly tests while lectures are SUPER important as a lot of that information is on the test. Make sure you do everything on time as there are only a discussion post and test a week.
Dr. Reesing is SO GOOD! I took her class as a B session (7 weeks) and it flew by! There's a quiz due every Friday, but it is open the entire week. There is a 2 part discussion due Wednesday and then Friday, but it is nothing too bad. She offers an extra credit assignment the last week in the course. I would take one of her courses again.
Professor Reesing was a very pleasant professor to work with. The class was online but she was always very clear with due dates and expecations.
I absolutely loved professor Reesings class. she was extremely sweet and responds fast to emails. The virtual child was super fun and easy. The discussion posts were interesting & graded easy. She gave a ton of extra cred which boosted my grade. only complaint was that the exams were pretty hard and you definitely need to textbook :/
such a nice professor. send out plenty of reminders and you can tell she cares about her students. really caring and understanding.
Man I loved her class. I didnt expect to enjoy it that much. Its pretty easy, but also makes you want to learn. I learned so many cool and relevant things. Easy A but also ENJOYABLE. Tests are lockdown browser but no camera. Everything is in the text book or on provided lecture slides.
This class was very simple and the expectations were much lower than most graduate level courses. This is a good class to start with if you are new to grad school and/or haven't been to school in awhile but if you are looking for deep discussions and learning, this isn't the place (unless you plan to do it on your own). Variety of assignments.
Professor Reesing is possibly the best professor I have had at ASU so far. It is obvious she cares about all her students and has a true passion for what she does. There is a lot of reading and material throughout the class, but it is all interesting. Professor Reesing always communicates with the students and is uplifting. She is amazing!
Dr. Reesing was so kind and caring! I took this course as a Session A and I would definitely take it again.
Professor Reesing is the absolute BEST! I took this course as an elective and she absolutely cares about her students success. If you approach her with anything you might be struggling with, she will do whatever she can to help you succeed in her class. The materials are easy and enjoyable, the quizzes are simple, and the DP's are quick and easy!
Learned a lot in this course. I took it as an accelerated course but the work load felt like a normal paced course. One 150 word discussion board post and 100 word reply each week and a quiz, and thats it. No final, no other assignments. Do the DB and quiz each week and youll get an A no problem.
Her lectures are great at first, but after a while they get boring. The same applies to the book; it offers amazing information at first, but after a while gets dry when there's no substantial evidence to support it. I think this class works for people that are in tune with their emotions. If you aren't open to that, then this class ain't it.
This class was really great but its not for everyone. I gained social & emotional awareness and changed for the better after this course. The lectures do get boring and repetitive after a while, although she is a great, caring professor. This was an easy class and very beneficial. There was random in class attendance, quizzes, projects, journals.
Dr. Reesing is great! I took a session A. Two chapters a week with video lectures on each (15 minutes each), 1-3 videos/articles, a 20-question quiz, and a discussion board with one initial post and one response. Quizzes are open book/open note and fairly easy. A lot of the material straight from the book. Easy A and a fun extra credit opportunity.
Dr. Reesing is a great professor! She was very understanding and compassionate. She provided great slides with information that was utilized on the test. There is a book utilized, which is required. Requires LockDown browser on her tests. Great professor, would definitely take a class with her again!
[ASU Online] Great professor, looking forward to having her for a class in the Fall again. Typically, you read two or three chapters a week, and the videos that are part of the lecture ARE important. You are allowed to use written notes and the text on quizzes, which occur every week, so they aren't too scary.
Dr. Reesing was a great professor who cares about her students and their success. Her parenting class was definitely lecture based and the textbook is a must if you want to pass. That being said her classes were always very interesting. One thing to know is that the test were like 60% textbook and 40% lecture.
One of the better iCourses I have taken. She's clear with the topics and what's expected of you.
Discussion board and quiz due every week, very straightforward and quizzes are open note just on lockdown browser. As long as you have the textbook you will be fine!
I have taken 2 classes with this professor, everything is very straight forward, no surprises. Some lecture slides, outside articles and text to "look" at each week and either a DB post or 1 HW assignment and quiz per week. No final
Very interesting topics and I didn't actually read the book once. The quizzes are open note so it's easy to get a good score. I know she said that you should get an actual copy of the book but an online PDF of it works just fine for the quizzes.
Professor Reesing via power points and the textbook. One discussion board and quiz per week, read and take notes and you'll be fine. There is no final. Little communication with the professor but she was helpful and responded quickly when needed. The book is super interesting and I enjoyed the content.
This professor's grading policy is unbelievably punitive. No lecture, just lecture slides and her notes full of typos.
I really enjoyed this class! Took it as a session A class, it went by really fast because the content was so interesting. 6 discussion boards with one peer response each, 7 quizzes, and an extra credit DB. Just take notes on the lecture slides, read the book, and watch the videos and it should be an easy A. Extra credit was very easy too.
My second class with this professor. Quizzes are fairly straightforward from the lecture slides. Discussion boards are easy to complete. Extra credit offered at the end and it was easy to do. Not super time consuming either. She sends out reminders twice a week about coursework, which is nice.
She makes this class so much easier than other professors. Her discussion boards are actually fun to do since no citations are needed, and you just speak from your own personal experience. I actually learned from this class. I also recommend reading the textbook!
i adore professor reesing! she is very understanding and flexible with students and it is clear she wants the best for them. this class was interesting and i enjoyed learning the content and did not dread discussion boards (esp because no apa or citations lol) extra credit is a HUGE grade boost! hands down the best professor i have ever had
I've taken another class of hers before, and its the same format. Final is just a project for class. Overall, I took the A session, and if you're someone with all the free-time in the world, then this class is for you. She's demanding with her emails when you're struggling with all the content she shoves at you. Plan well or drop out.
A pretty easy class, well organized with a good understanding of development. Not super personal though.
She is great! Her class is tough, but she is incredibly accommodating and caring. She always goes the extra mile to help you when needed. I have taken her twice now. Take her if you need an SB credit!
Dr. Reesing is such a sweet professor who knows how to properly organize a canvas shell and communicate with her students. This was BY FAR the most engaging, organized, and effective online course I've had the pleasure of taking. I would recommend Dr. Reesing to anyone wanting to take Human Development. No complaints!
If you have to take a class for SB credit this is the one. Very easy tests.
Easy class and easy grading criteria. I recommend taking her for this class. Just make sure you read the chapters and look over the slides because a lot of the quizzes have very specific questions.
Class was interesting but really unforgiving. Class made me want to quit school, if you have literally any other option do not take this class. Never reviewed a professor negatively before but I truly do not understand how people like this professor.
Prf Reesing's class was straightforward. I took it as a Session A online course. She had clear due dates, never strayed from the syllabus, & had good communication. Plus, her class was super interesting! My rec for students would be is to do ur weekly coursework in a span of 3+ days,
This was an extremely easy class. I took it online for six weeks and given the shortened timeframe, it still only took me a few hours a week to complete each Module. I will say the TA assigned to my group was a harsh grader. There seems to be discrepancies between what Dr. Reesing expects vs what the TA will grade on so that was frustrating.
She had terrific lectures and gave you plenty of time to do your work! Although I had weekly tests, the workload still felt very manageable. I am definitely taking more of her classes!
This is a good class and professor to have. There is a discussion post and quiz every week. Discussions are more so your thoughts on the subject which in my opinion makes it more interesting to write about. You can tell the professor cares about her students from reading her announcements. Easy extra credit opportunity at the end of the semester.
TAKE THIS CLASS. you will learn so much about yourself.
SUPER EASY CLASS!! Professor Reesing is incredibly helpful, constantly sending reminders about due dates. One discussion post and quiz per week. Also has an extremely easy extra credit assignment at the end.
This class was straightforward and pretty easy. Each week has a 20 question timed quiz and a discussion post. Tests were open note and there was one opportunity for extra credit at the end of the semester. You can study the material with the slideshows she provides and the required textbook(you can find it online for free).
Dr. Reesing is the best! I went through a chaotic period of life and fell behind due to life circumstances. I emailed Dr. Reesing about my situation and she immediately responded with thoughtfulness while showing that she cared and understood my situation. She is an amazing professor and I wish all of my professors were like her. Take her class!
This woman hung the moon. You will not regret taking this class. The level of thought and preparedness that went into this course is unlike any other and I wish I could take it again every semester till I graduate.
Dr Reesing made learning very easy. She's very organized and is willing to help you out. As long as you read and watch the videos, you'll pass for sure
She is a very organized professor and is quite clear about what is expected. You will not get away without reading the textbook. My one complaint that I have is the fact that she didn't allow us to see the final paper that we needed to write until a week before it was due. It is not an easy paper and requires interviewing someone. Didn't appreciate
Easy elective class, discussion posts are opinions so no citations. The original post is 150 words and one response of 100 words, mostly common sense. The exams were book-heavy and on lockdown browser with no camera but information was not too hard. The final essay was very easy and took less than a few hours, parent interview and reflection.
Questions of the quizzes were not found in lectures or the text. About 9 video lectures of 25 mins each w/ 3 chapters/88 pages to read and be quizzed on per week plus looking over our notes. Quizzes were timed. Did not explain the correct answers. I needed more time in this class than my research courses. Seems course was handed over & not reviewed
This was very difficult class, and she has to be the harshest grading teacher I have ever taken. I was one point off from receiving a B-. She denied my request and gave me the C. She does not accept any late work what's so ever. I was short 5 words on my discussion post which resulted in a 0 on the assignment. Would not recommend at all.
Dr. Reesing is caring and understanding. Every week, she sends a few emails as reminders to complete the assignments. The course consists of reading the textbook (2-4 chapters a week), discussion posts based on your opinions and experiences, and open-note quizzes. It is not a hard class, and there is also a 10-point easy extra credit assignment.
I loved this class and this professor. I learned a lot and truly enjoyed every part of this class. The work is simple and easy to do. Each week you have a discussion post, then a quiz and you have one major paper in the semester although you do get one chance for extra credit. It is a lot of reading but it is interesting.
1 Discussion post/response & 1 quiz each week. Watching the lecture videos and reading the book helped me with the quizzes. Very easy class and good instructor.
I enjoyed Dr. Reesing's instruction in the Human Development class over the Summer term. She was fair, responsive, kind and knowledgable. I appreciated her opportunity for extra credit and would definitely take a class with her again. Lots of textbook reading, but I found it interesting.
Professor Reesing is caring and understanding. The class is straightforward with weekly assignments, but unstuckstudy AI proved helpful for preparing. An easy A if you stay on top of the work.
I enjoyed this course even though I took it online, but I would recommend taking breaks during the readings and taking lecture notes especially towards the end of the course where the subject material gets a little heavy and can hit close to home for some people. Overall, the professor was really nice, gave good feedback on assignments!
I enjoyed this course even though I took it online, but I would recommend taking breaks during the readings and taking lecture notes especially towards the end of the course where the subject material gets a little heavy and can hit close to home for some people. Overall, the professor was really nice, gave good feedback on assignments
Although I took the course online, I absolutely enjoyed it. Im taking 6 courses and the workload for this course wasn't so bad, and I was able to balance my other classes. Its good to read the text book but you don't need it to pass. Her quizzes are based on her ppts and added details. Just rewrite the notes and you'll do fine.
Dr. Reesing was amazing, I loved her course. The workload felt very manageable and the feedback I got on the discussion posts was very useful. There was no final exam which I appreciated. She also sent out frequent announcements on deadlines in the course and sent motivational messages. Definitely a course worth taking.
Pretty easy class if you look over the study guide before exams. I took this class online and exams weren't proctored but there is a time limit. Best to just study a little before hand. Class was pretty interesting and I learned a lot. I recommend taking it as an A or B session online. Not too bad at all.
Dr. Reesing was great! This has been one of my favorite courses I've taken at ASU. Content is clear and she makes really great study guides to help prepare for the weekly quizzes. There is a discussion board due each week, but TA's give great feedback and grade fairly. Overall, this was a great course and Dr. Reesing was amazing!
Super super easy class everything was super clear and easy. Mainly weekly quizzes for each module.
Professor Reesing was an amazing professor! I took the online course of FAS101 and it was easy. The only thing I would say is that it is important to watch the videos and do the readings because the quizzes go over all of that material! I would also recommend taking notes while going over the material because you can use it for quizzes. Easy A!
super interesting course material and the discussions were very easy, I highly recommend this course for an upper level FAS course. TA was super sweet and direct in her feedback and Reesing was really helpful. I'd say this is an easy A if you put the work in. Not too demanding for an online course, 1 db, reply, and quiz every week.
One discussion, 1 reply and a quiz once a week. There is a final project- an interview with a parent (not hard at all). An easy A if you do all the assignments, not very time consuming.
This professor was excellent. The online class was well-organized and structured. Weekly discussions and quizzes were worth points, and the study guides provided were very helpful. The material was clear and easy to follow, and the lecture videos were engaging and informative. Overall, the class was straightforward and well-designed.
The professor was very knowledgeable, kind,& well-organized. Every week was laid out in the same format: Module overview, learning materials, study guide (USE IT), discussion board due Wednesdays (requires you to respond to 1 classmate due Fridays),& a 20 question quiz that's 40 minutes due Friday. Textbook heavy. By far my favorite class!
This class was awesome because of the professor. The modules were very easy to follow. As long as you read the book and the lecture slides getting an a was very easy. She sent out multiple messages per week with assignment reminders and due dates, so missing assignments was near impossible if you checked. I would highly recommend her for this class
Professor Reesing is a great instructor for CDE 232. The workload is super reasonable, you can even take the half-semester version and be perfectly fine. Each week you only do one discussion post, one reply, and one short quiz. Definitely a solid choice if you want a class that's interesting without being overwhelming.
