Dr.Amy is awesome.Subject is hard, but with her help, going to class, studying her PP you will pass.Always there when you need her.On top of her emails/ans quickly. She can teach any style, for you to understand loved that.My class wanted her for fall,DH only gave her AP1,so does teach AP2.Take her for AP you will be glad you did.Wonderful teacher:) :)
Dr Mullen, is very helpful and will tell you what you need to know from her power points slides. She gives short question for her quizzes and exams, ANP is tough but she assists you very much and she will guide you if you are not sure of something, not that she will give answers but she will guide you.I would recommend her, she is supper hot
Dr. Mullen is awesome at teaching A&P1. As long as you show up for the lectures and TAKE GOOD NOTES!! you will have no problem. But you MUST study because there is sooo much material! She will help you get through it!:)
Dr. Mullen does not give extra credit. She includes Multiple Choice, True/False and Short Answer on ALL of her quizzes and tests. The more you add, the more points she gives you. There is homework online as well as Lab assignments. She does give "push points" on exams. Record her lectures, take notes off them and you will do fine!
Dr. Mullen is wonderful! She provides her powerpoints online so you can take notes while she lectures. Tests are multiple choice and short answer. She doesn't give extra credit but often adds points back on tests and quizzes if the majority of the class missed certain questions. Definitely take her!
Dr. Mullen never has the power points uploaded until maybe an hour before class, if she remembers. And it takes her FOREVER to grade things.
Dr. Mullen is wonderful! Not sure what the person below is talking about. I printed up all my powerpoints for lab and lecture about a month before hand. And the reason for the time on grading is because she does an idemized analysis and gives points back if its a bad question. Its always for your benefit. Study hard. It's very doable. Shes great!
Dr. Mullen is a FANTASTIC A&P teacher. I highly recommend her! Obviously A&P isn't an easy class, but she is so willing to HELP you understand. Show up to class and take notes, ask questions. I made an pretty high A with a lot of work and help from her! You must take her! Grading takes a bit but, realize she's grading for 100 students! Patients!
Prof Mullen is an excellent teacher! She is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She has the tendency to speak very fast when she lectures so recording her is a wise idea. However, despite her fast talking, she is very thorough. Also, taking her for both lecture and lab is a good idea because she repeats many key points for exams and practicals.
Dr. Mullen was an awesome teacher! A&P is very hard, but she will definitely help you through it if you reach out to her! Study hard, study often, and always print off those power points for class! I'm a dance major (yes, not nursing) and I came out with an A+, so it's definitely possible with hard work! Best A&P teacher definitely take her!
Makes it interesting & presents it in an understandable way. Talks fast-BRING RECORDER. Willing to answer questions & go over lab models. She's very knowledgeable! Lots of assignments online,1case study,quizzes,4exams+ comprehensive final. Take lots of notes to pass exams w/short answer. Would definitely take again! NICEST & BEST Professor at TCC!!
Always there to help. Little dry on lecture unlike Preston-she uses words that will stick to you. She gives you blank paper in lab for practical-study her slides and manual. Make sure you're not taking any classes, the exams are life consuming. Uses slides and book-but most tests out of slides. Exams includes 2 pages of mechanism(draw out)
She is great. The class is hard so you need to read the chapters, definitely review and study her power points. She does talk fast so invest in a recorder! She is always willing to help. Her tests are mult choice and short answer questions. She will tell you what points are "potential" short answer questions so you can study. Had her for AP I & II
Dr.Mullen is a great professor. She does talk fast, but she is willing to help you get through anything you don't understand. This is a tough course no matter what so you have to always expect to give it 110% of your time. I am taking her again for BIO 2402 this Spring and I have confidence she will do wonderful teaching again!
Dr. Mullen is a great professor. A&P is difficult so be prepared to study, however she is truly willing to help you to be successful, just don't be afraid to ask for help. She has grades posted usually within a day, sometime two for exams, but if you go to her office hours she will grade on the spot. I will be taking her again for A&P 2.
I took her for both A&P1 + A&P2 & made an A in both. She talks fast so a recorder would be useful. Her exams are roughly about 60 MCQ's & about 5 short-answer questions, but she gives partial credit on those which helps your grade a whole lot. Powerpoints are given to you so just print them off, take notes, & make an A. Highly recommend!!!!!!
Dr. Mullen is one of the best professors I have ever had. I highly recommend her. The class is tough and requires a lot of time dedication, but if you go to class and take notes she provides the information you need to be successful. Having a recorder is useful. I will be taking her for AP2 also. She is always willing to help & wants you to succeed
Had to drop the class, the class is highly based on Chemistry at the beginning of the class, yet it is not a prerequisite to A&P 1. She is very informative, and sometimes talks way over your head. The lab and the lecture have multiple assignments all at the same time that you must attempt to keep up with. Do not recommend taking with another class.
Dr. Mullen is an amazing teacher! She posts all the Power Points online and goes over them in class. She will let you record lectures and is more than willing to help you if you don't understand something. A&P is a hard class and she does her best to make it easier, but this is a class that requires a lot of effort no matter who the teacher is.
Dr. Mullen is really an amazing teacher. A&P is one of the hardest classes and you actually have to work for your grade but she's very patient and sweet. She gives partial credit on short answer fill in the blank on her exams and runs item analysis on all multiple choice. She gives students back points if the same question is missed a lot.
Dr. Mullen's is a wonderful professor! I took her for A&P 1&2. She talks fast, but is extremely intelligent. If you are going to take her, I recommend taking her for 1 & 2. It took me pretty much the entire semester to adapt, but worth it! RECORD! RECORD! RECORD! And take an SI class to help you! its helped me tremendously! Dr. Mullens is great!
Dr Mullen is a very intelligent woman that knows what she is teaching. If ever there is anything that you don't understand go to her office & she will explain it to you. She is a very open professor always willing to help us students succeed. Record her lectures as well as in lab. Very helpful as she speaks very fast. Overall, amazing class!
Dr. Mullen is amazing! Hands down the best anatomy professor at TCC NW. She truly cares about her students, she's easy to talk to, and will gladly re-explain. Partial credit is offered, she eliminates adds back points on questions missed by majority of the class, and it very clear on what you need to know. She also has an SI for extra studies
Dr. Mullen is the best A&P teacher! I have taken her for both 1&2 and got an A in both. Tests are tough as expected but she's very clear on what will be on the exam. Lost of short answers but ALWAYS tells you which ones are potential SA's. Lenient grading, gives partial credit, & adds back points! However, RECORD her lecture & WORK for your grade!!
Dr. M is a very lenient grader. lots of SA ?'s, but she tells you what ?'s are, so you can prepare. talks fast, so record lecture and lab just in case. People say to print out her PP's, you can do that, but you're going to spend a fortune in printer ink. They're big. But they ARE helpful. she is always available to help students,Great professo
Dr. Mullen is an awesome professor. She really wants her students to grasp the information. She knows that's the only way you will do well in this course. Tests are not to difficult if you study SA's & record her lectures to listen back on. I always took notes after class from the recording. She talks really fast. This is a hard course so take her!
Im so glad I took her for AP1, I already signed up for her AP2 class. She adds back pts on everything(even lab) doesn't care on spelling as long as you're close to it, she gives SA Q. each test & will tell you which ones they are so you can prepare, quizzes,4exams,final, comprehensive review which can boost your grade. Recommend for lab & lect.
I'm not even done with the semester yet, but I wanted to go ahead and tell everyone who reads this TO TAKE HER. She's amazing! She is very knowledgeable and knows how to explain things in way you'll be able to understand - A&P is not an easy subject either. Her test have some SA questions, but she lets you know which to study for.
Dr. Mullen is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She really cares about her students and wants you to understand and succeed. Great class!!
Dr. Mullen is awesome she knows what she is talking about. Her exams are hard but if you work hard you can get an A! Read the textbook is very helpful! Expect lots of homework and quizzes! Good luck!
I really enjoyed having Doctor Mullen in API Lecture. She lets you record her lectures which really comes in handy! If you study her power points and listen to her lectures, you will pass, but there is a LOT of memorization! So you have to study quite a bit.
I took Dr. Mullen for API and her lecture was really tough. She cares a lot about her students and she will try to help in any way she can. Her lab was really enjoyable, but her lecture tests were brutal. I would recommend taking her lab, but maybe finding another professor for lecture.
She is a nice professor but her exams are brutal. They are very hard and doesn't give any reviews prior to them. Her lectures are very boring and its a must for you to record her lectures since she talks VERY FAST and hardly repeats her stuff. Exams have 20 multiple questions, fill in the blanks, matching, and 2 or 4 detailed shortanswer questions
More than fair on grading.
Professor Mullen was AMAZING!!! I took her because most students on Rate My Professor said that if you worked hard you'd make an A. That's exactly what I did, and I ended making at 96! This class is very time consuming record her lectures, take notes, study, and do it all over again for each exam. She gives back points on exams. Helped A LOT!
Dr. Mullen was my A&P 1 professor and I was so thrilled with her and her teaching style that I made sure to get up at 5:55 am on registration day to make sure I could take her A&P 2 class. She always made me feel at ease with asking her questions and I loved her lecture style. Work hard and you'll do great. I finished with 102%
A&P 2 is a hard class there's no way around that. But Dr. Mullen will work with you and gives you the grade you deserve. Gives a curve on every test which always bumped me up a letter grade. She's an awesome lab professor and is really helpful at learning the material. Lecture tests are brutal, be prepared to study at least 10 hours on every test.
I have to say the professor gives extra credit, but not enough, A&P is hard, but should not be THIS hard. Exams are going to be bane and destroy your GPA with a giant metal covered rock with a bomb if you fail atleast one exam, Be afraid, because i'm sure alot are in this class.
she definitely knows her material & is a great teacher. bring a recorder, she talks very fast. shes a very hard teacher as well so theres no slacking involved if you want to pass this class. STUDY as much as possible and you will pass. i would suggest printing the powerpoint to take notes on. wouldn't suggest taking lots of classes along with it
Taking A&P 1&2 with Mullen & love her class! A&P is hard regardless and reading/studying is necessary. She definitely knows what she's talking about, is open to answering all questions related, and even unrelated, to the material. If you work hard you can make an A. Tests are only brutal if you don't study the material.
Taking the class was a big mistake, you really have to put in your all, otherwise in the end you will mess up big time. the exams are pretty difficult and the praticals are very brutal. Very tough class.
She is one of my favorite teachers ever, she is kind, smart, and will help anyone with anything they need to be successful in not only this class but in life. Yes in lecture she talks fast, that's because there's so much information to cover. Her tests aren't hard if you study for them, just give the class your all and don't expect it to be easy.
If you were to take anyone for anatomy, take Mullen. Yes, you have to study, that's a given. Everything that she lectures on is on your exams and practicals, so you don't need to read your lecture textbook. In order for me to get an A in the class, I had to record her lectures and write down everything that she said and memorize it.
The content was good & she is good at explaining A&P. She talks very fast, missed lots of classes without notification or with last-minute (already on campus) notices. Very disorganized & often late to class. Many grades were missing from my overall grade & she never fixed it. I emailed her about 10 times to upload the grades and it never happened
Dr. Mullen is absolutely fantastic; I so wish I could take her for A&P 2. There is a lot of HW and you will spend a lot of time studying, but I think that the work is typical for an upper level science class. She gives plenty of extra credit, but you still need to really work for your grade. I definitely recommend taking her!
Demanding class & heavy material. Dr. Mullen is a great choice for A&P. She is very intelligent and thorough with material. Ask her questions, she will help you. Overall, put the time into this class & make it a priority & I think students can do really well. She offers some extra credit & bonus points on exams. Her grading is more than fair! :D
Mullen is great. She is super smart and knows the material. Only drawback is that she talks really fast so I had to record the lectures. You will have to work hard for your grade but she does give out A's.
Very caring professor. Loved that she gave back a lot of extra credit points, although the class was VERY hard. I had to print out the powerpoints and record the lectures and then go back and write everything down in order to make an A.
Dr. Mullen was a really great professor for A&P I. She was very clear about the course expectations from the beginning, gave thorough and engaging lectures. Yes her exams and lab practicals are tough, but that is to be expected for ANY A&P course. She was very fair in grading but won't just hand out an A; you have to work for it.
Super great professor! A&P was hard but the way she teaches is great. She's also very understanding when you have to miss class and does give extra credit on tests. She talks really fast so I'd recommend recording lectures.
My grade increases dramatically when i printed the powerpoints and followed along as she lectured. I also audio recorded the sessions to revisit any notes that didn't make since. Very clear on expectations and is willing to work with you, but you must put an effort. She does speak fast, but understand that A&P is a lot of information to cover.
I had dreams of being a sonographer, well they were crushed. This class is hard no way around it. Unless you love this stuff be careful how many other classes you take with it. I had a different lab teacher and it sucked they were never in sync with information. Shes nice dont get me wrong but be prepared and the books cost like 300 so heads up!
Dr. Mullen is such a wonderful instructor. She really does care about her students and is passionate about the material. This IS a weed-out course. If you're looking for an easy ride, I'm sorry to say you're likely applying to the wrong field. Tests are difficult but so is any med program. Dr. Mullen is clear and always willing to work with you.
Great profesor who speaks very fast at times so I recommend recording her lectures because even though she creates PowerPoints for every chapter she goes in depth on all the vital information needed to pass the exams, which is a lot. Class consists of weekly HW assignments, in class and online quizzes, 4 exams, plus the final. Prepare to study.
Record Lecture. Take Notes. Make Note Cards. Repeat. She has slowed down with her lecture speed, since AP I. Very caring and is willing to work with you, but make an effort. She tries to keep you abreast with schedule changes, as they occur. Wasn't a problem with me, but she doesn't count off for spelling, unless the word written doesn't look close
Mrs mullen was amazing, one of the best professors ever. I am taking her for A&p2 as well. i refuse to take anyone other than her. She talks fast so bring a recorder, print out the outlines to follow along and ask all the questions you need. Test are hard but so is any other science class test. As long as you put forth the effort you will do fine
I took Mrs. Mullen for A&P 1 &2 and passed with a B in both. She is very knowledgeable, easy to understand although she talks fast, if she says this may be a short answer question take notes it will be on the test! Biology is lots of work but this class is a upper college level class. Mrs. Mullen is very understanding if you email.
Science classes are not your easy A classes, with that said if you pay attention, read the book and ask for help when you need it this is an easy class. A&P is a hard course but she goes over EVERYTHING in class and even points out what could be her short answer questions on exams. Record her lectures and attend SI sessions if they are available.
Her test are extremely hard. She takes forever to grade. I couldnt stand having short answer questions on the test. She speaks too fast. Get ready to spend everyday trying to pass this class. It was miserable!
She is one of the greatest professors ever! A&P is not an easy class but Dr. Mullen makes it enjoyable. She does talk fast so I would recommend recording the lectures. Also, take the short answer questions seriously, if you get all the points it really helps the test grade. You have to put a lot of effort into this class but it is worth it.
Professor Mullen is absolutely wonderful! I recommend her to all my friends. Her class is fast paced so I recommend recording her lectures and to take her lab with the lecture. She takes awhile to grade but she drops low grades and tends to curve them. She really wants you to do well and you will if you put in the effort. She is very helpful!
Mullen is great! Don't expect to pass if you don't study. Print ppts and record lectures! Lect long- covers a lot of info, you will NOT be able to take good notes if you don't record it. Test ?s are NOT directly from PPT. Q + T are hard but gives extra cred with short answer ?s- grades these generously. Comprehensive HW is review for final. STUDY!
Amazing professor. Recommend recording lectures, going to SI sessions and her office hours. She really tries to help you in any way she can as long as she sees that you put in effort for the class. Tests are not that complicated, easy to understand and she's very generous with grading. Overall, an absolute gem.
Mullen made the class interesting, I was nervous about taking the class but she is very understanding her grading is very clear, study study study make an effort and you will make an A, i recommend recording her lecture and going to SI sessions!
Dr. Mullen is one of the best professors I've ever had. She cares a lot about her students and is there to help and explain anything you need clarified. Just as any science course, you need to work for it. You need to put the time and effort into studying etc, if you do that it's a piece of cake from there. Really enjoyed her class. Def recommend n
Dr. Mullen was great! I had taken the class before, but never with the success I had in her class. The material is tough, but she made it to where I could retain so much of it. I would definitely take her again.
She speaks very fast so I suggest recording her lectures, but overall she is a great teacher! Sometimes she'll post quizes online, that were meant to be done in class and has them as open note. Be prepared to go to SI Sessions, her office hours or do Learrnsmart Assignments, bc 2 hours of any option are due before the test and are worth 5 pts.
Dr Mullen is by far my favorite teacher. A&P is a brutal class but Mullen makes it as enjoyable as possible. Shes kind and you can tell she really cares. If you put in the work, shell go out of her way to help you. Tests are reasonably hard but doable. Shes a fair grader and adds points where she can. Study and go to office hours and youll pass
Dr Mullen is Amazing. This class is extremely hard but she gives you everything youll need to pass with a high A. Tons of bonus points available. Doesnt count off for spelling! You definitely want to take her! Read her PowerPoints for reviews. I honestly hardly read the book because she explains everything so well. Mainly used it for the HW.
She is a very fair grader. Shes great at explaining things. She does talk a bit fast at times but shes really good about helping people out of classes shes also just a nice person in general. I wish I had taken her for A&PI as well. Just study and go to SI sessions and an A will be easy to get.
Dr. Mullen was really great professor, and she tend talk very fast at time. This class is not easy at all. You must effort this class, make sure show up on time, make good note, and recommend recording her lecture too.
Dr Mullen gives you extra credit for attending S.I sessions! Makes getting an A in this difficult class attainable. Best science professor Ive had because she is articulate. She has a way of explaining things so they make sense! Her powerpoints serve a dual purpose as study guide! I highly recommend! This is a hard class she makes it easy to pass!
online course- no help when needed- online glitches not taken into account completely lost due to professors (lecture/lab) not communicating with one another- be prepared for protorial testing - no reviews - power points not helpful nor was SI (do not waste your time on SI) - lab professor heavy homework without any guidance or communication
Online course. A&P is a very tough class. Her class was very overwhelming. This class definitely needs to be taken in person! But overall, Mullen assigned a lot of material on TopHat. And some assignments on Connect. Be prepared to take proctorio exams. She makes you review on your own but it don't really help because it's nothing like the exam.
TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! She is amazing. As a first-time college student, I was so overwhelmed with this course at first. But Dr. Mullen really goes above and beyond to make it understandable. I wish I could have gotten into her A&P II section but it filled up immediately. This is a hard class! So be prepared to study A LOT and go to SI sessions!!
Personally i did not enjoy her class. Too tough and especially the fact that it was online. If you want a good grade in this class, make sure that you don't have a busy life because this class definitely takes up a lot of your time. There's always assignments due for her class.
A +P is a hard course. This professor is encouraging and works to help with her students. Theres lots of work, but this is an advanced course. If you miss a live session, shell record it for you. She always keeps her students up to date, is organized, and gives small extra credit opportunities. She inspires me to be the best physician I can be!
A&P is a really difficult course. And with it being online, it was even harder. Prof Mullen was an ok professor. She assigned lots of material which was very hard to keep up with sometimes. Lab and lec exams are monitored so just a heads up. Wish you the best of luck if you're taking a&p online, it's not as easy as it seems.
Dr. Mullen is an amazing professor, I would definitely take her class again, but her class filled up pretty quickly. Her lectures are extensive and there is a lot of homework in lab. If you study the power points, attend class and SI sessions, you will get a good grade. Dr. Mullen is very accessible outside of class and also gives extra credit.
Dr. Amy Mullen is one of the most caring, amazing, smart, and understanding professors I have taken for A&P 1 or 2. Please, I encourage you to take her for A&P 1; you will actually learn. I only took her lecture class because her labs were all full. But because of her lectures, I was able to pass my labs. Yes, it is hard, but every A&P class is.
I took 1 quiz at the beginning of the semester and it dropped from average from an A to a C. Now Im worried I wont pass the class. It was an open book and open note quiz.. yeah some of the questions when I looked up key words in our text book to find it, they werent even in there. The labs are all over the place too.
A&P is already a hard course. Amy tries her hardest to help you understand the material. You can call, email, or text her if you need help with anything. Just listen to her lectures and go to SI sessions. Her classes get filled very quickly, so try to sign up for her fast. She is amazing and if you are going into Nursing she is the best option.
Amazing professor. This course is very difficult but Amy makes sure you understand. She encourages you to call, email, and text her. I needed extra credit and she gives you many options to do so. Just listen to her lectures, study, and show up to SI sessions you will do good!
Do not take this professor. SHE DOES NOT GIVE EXAM REVIEWS. This is a hard subject and you have to study, BUT the amount of busy work she assigns makes this class unbelievably time consuming. In one week alone we turned in 19 different assignments. She was not clear and super confusing at time. Seriously, too many different programs to navigate.
BEWARE!!!!Her exams consist of 100 multi-part questions .So, really they are 150 plus question tests. No exam reviews. We had crazy amounts of homework due every week. Her online class is all over the place. You have multiple programs you are required to use. You have questions that are clearly lab questions end up on lecture exams and vise versa.
Absolutely loved having her as a professor! 100% would take her again her seats go fast!!
Don't take her unless you want to drown in homework. Her exams are long they're 100+ questions! She doesn't give you enough time to complete them either! Her final was 4 hours long with over 200+ Q's! Shes a nice person but her work load is too much and doesn't even give you time to study for the exams due to all the HW she gives out.
Unrealistic expectations. Completely out of touch with reality. Does not give a review for exams. Tons of homework. Just do yourself a favor and stay away! She is horrible.
ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS EVER. Take her if you can. She gives us extra points on every test plus our additional study hour points so it's like an extra 5 or 6 points a test.. which is NICE. She is willing to help and is SO UNDERSTANDING. REALLY AWESOME TEACHER.
Off the bat, any anatomy class is hard in general, & yes there is a LOT of hw but if you discipline yourself you can get an A. Don't PROCRASTINATE, all the work you do is bc it's on the test. Don't be like me, if not I would've gotten an A. She is very understanding and caring. communicate with her! If you want to learn take her & push yourself plz
A&P is a hard class in general but Dr. Mullen makes it possible to pass. This is an advanced science class so of course its going to be hard. But its not impossible. Dr. Mullen was great I am very glad that I took her class. Her tests are big but if you dedicate time for studying you will pass. Manage your time because there is also HW each week.
Dr Mullen is a wonderful professor. I took her online because of Corona. I have taken A&P 1 before so I came in with previous knowledge. She gives students her phone number and will set up times to meet outside of office hours if needed. She is very responsive and wants you to succeed. STUDY! A&Pweed out class. Fun but hard.
If your goal is to work in the medical field you will need to actually learn this well and Prof Mullen teaches in a way to ensure you actually LEARN! It's not easy, there is a LOT of work, but she gives many learning opportunities and she cares about your success! Do the HW, those grades matter! Go to SI! Do the ex credit! TAKE HER! She's amazing!
Take her. She cares for her students, if you put in the work she will support you the entire way. There is a lot of HW in lab and lecture. I highly recommend taking her.
Dr. Mullen is a wonderful and caring professor. She is the perfect choice for those pursuing medical degrees such as nursing, etc. She is very thorough, gives out a lot of homework, and really bangs all the knowledge that she can into her students heads. I took her during COVID so I wasn't working. Only choose if going into Medical Field!
DR. MULLEN IS BY FAR THE BEST A&P INSTRUCTOR AROUND! I travel an hour and 15 mins to take her course based on her reviews and man were they ACCURATE!!!! She is very sweet, caring, and totally wants you to succeed! I cant believe she had even 1 bad review!!! This course IS NOT for the weak! You have to put your all into ANY A&P course! Take her!!!
Dr. Mullen was meant to educate! You can tell she enjoys teaching and that makes learning so much easier! She not there just for a paycheck!!!
Professor Mullen is an amazing professor who makes the quizzes and tests actually doable. She gives plenty of extra credit and edits out really difficult questions after the test. Your grade on each test will easily go up about 10 points. Her lectures are very interesting with real-world examples and word associations for memorization.
Her lab exams were all 100+ fill in the blank questions, having to label and spell out every little thing. You might as well not even have a lab, because she sits there and talks the whole time. Lots of homework, talks too much. Would not take again.
Pay attention to power points. No test review. If you pay attention and listen to her lectures you will pass her class.
Dr. Mullen is amazing. Very reachable and will always go out her way to help the students understand the concepts. Her online recordings are perfect for review and preparation. She has mastered this course and recommend her 101%
Anatomy 1 with Amy Mullen was easy considering it was Anatomy, but like all Anatomy courses you have to start working hard from the first day. You should be learning about 10 new things/concepts a day to stay on top of it. She answered emails and Canvas messages all days of the week, she was easy to get ahold of to get questions answered.
I took both A&P1 and A&P2 with Dr. Mullen. While her quizzes/tests are very difficult, Dr. Mullen has an amazing passion for science and it shows! Her lectures are both fascinating and knowledgeable. I would take her class again in a heartbeat!
Ap shouldn't be THAT hard. This class made me feel very stupid. I swear the "extra credit" doesn't help your grade whatsoever, there were several times I took the extra credit and got the highest score and somehow it lowered my overall grade, doesn't make sense. This class made me rethink my whole major. Professor is nice, that's about it.
Easy as far as Anatomy II goes, but you need to be working hard from the first day, ideally well before the class starts, assuming you've had Anatomy I you need to make an effort to start learning what will be covered in Anatomy II.Easy to get ahold of, answers emails/canvas messages on weekends and even some holidays.Attentive, caring, sweet.
Hands down the best professor at TCC to take Anatomy and Physiology with. She is so passionate about her subject, has an awesome sense of humor and her lectures are so engaging. She's also a complete cinnamon roll of a human being, so kind and understanding. I wish I could take more courses with her!
I highly recommend Mrs. Mullen! I took her for both A&P1&2 and have not regretted it since. Her lectures and labs are always engaging and worth coming for. The class does have a lot of information, so it's important to always stay attentive and to study outside of class. She truly cares about your success and is always available if you need help.
This class is pretty challenging but she is very good at explaining concepts and is clear with future test questions and points we need to know.
I ended up having to retake this class again, but I did it with a different instructor and my god was it easier this time! This instructor made AP miserable. The class work was so hard for no reason, I would review the notes we would take in class for the lab and lecture tests and would still end up failing them. Take another instructor!!!
Awful. TAKE ANOTHER INSTRUCTOR!!!!!! PLEASE The power points and notes were too complicated and were too long to write fully down, recording them didn't help either since she wouldn't go into full detail over the notes, just flied over them. Lab and Lecture tests were too long and most of the questions weren't even on the reviews/notes.Just awful.
class is so hard for no reason. take anybody else but her.
I took Dr. Mullen for A&P 1 and it was great. She made it very easy for me to do very well in this class. She grades extremely fair- she is on your side, and tries to give you as much credit as she can. Extra credit options are very generous and extremely helpful. Lectures are insightful and engaging. Her slide shows are wonderful for studying!
This was a very difficult class! the test were different from slides and notes taken. There were some things that weren't listed in textbooks or covered whatsoever and were shown up on test and labs. Please save your money!!!!!!!
This class is 100% doable, here's how to make an A. Read textbook or watch her lectures BEFORE the actual lecture, bring notes. USE POWERPOINTS AS STUDY GUIDES, flashcards will be your BFF for lab exams, as for lectures just make sure you understand the concepts on slides. She will try her very best to give back points don't be scared, she's great!
Took her for my Anatomy and Physiology 1 class, she very much cares about what she is teaching and cares if you fully understand. The class is hard but she makes it enjoyable and worth learning. 100/100 experience.
Professor Mullen's Anatomy and Physiology course is challenging, but she makes it engaging and rewarding. Her lectures are insightful, and she provides great support. Utilizing resources like unstuck ai alongside the textbook and class notes can really help with exam prep.
This is the worst professor I've ever had! Please save your time and money. She gives homework as if she was the only class students were taking. Exams every week or everyother week. We had 3 exams in a span of 3 weeks. If you're a full time student please re-consider taking this professor the load of homework and exams. No time to study at all.
Amy is a good person, as far as teaching A&P 1 not so much good. I truly was not prepared for the amount of mcgraw hill homework's along with lab exams and lectures exams all within the span of 3 weeks. her lectures exams are multiple choice and lab is writing the answer out. if you want to save your mental health, find a different teacher
Ms.Mullen is an amazing teacher! I made an A in her class. Anatomy in general is hard but you have to put in the work! Ms.mullen encourages us to use A&P reveal, her PowerPoints and practice hw on McGraw Hill. USE THEM THEY ARE KEY TO PASSING! Make sure to study and make FLASHCARDS!! And go to SI MEETINGS they are soo helpful!!
Professor Mullen is amazing. All of the bad reviews don't take into account that this is THE hardest class you can take at this school, and one of THE hardest at any school. It's a brutal class no matter the professor. But Mullen is so kind and she really tried to be lenient where she can. I have taken 2 other A&P profs and she is THE best.
Professor Mullen is fantastic; she's knowledgeable, easy to follow, clear with instruction, and truly cares about her students' success. This class is incredibly challenging; there is a LOT of material to learn in a very short time, but her lectures are a huge reason why I passed. The textbooks are expensive, and there's an exam every other week.
I wish I took her for a&p1 and a&p2. There are endless extra credit opportunities, I don't know if it's possible to fail her class because of it. Please take her. I promise you will not regret it and I hope you take my advice!!
Professor Mullen is AMAZING. A&P II is a tough course but she does a phenomenal job breaking down tricky concepts. Looking back over the semester I can't believe how much I truly feel I learned and actually understood. Extra credit opportunities and she is readily available outside of class. Cannot recommend enough!!! She is a brilliant teacher!!
