Helpful Teacher, Easy Class, A lot of busy work outside of speeches

For people that are in college to learn, this professor is perfect for you. Tough on attendance and assignments, kind of like a boss would be.Do the readings and assignments per the schedule you will be fine. Only had one test, which was a little difficult, but tests are not supposed to be easy. I recommend Prof. Donohue to hard working students.

Prof Donahue was a great teacher!! she makes the class fun and interesting! she doesn't like to lecture instead she likes to have hands on learning, quizes weekly,and grades on attendance. Overall an awesome teacher will take her again!

I loved having Professor Donohue my first semester of college! She was very helpful to me and was very clear with things she wanted done and with things she presented in class. You ARE required to read the book if you want to do good on your quizzes. Attendance is mandatory and necessary if you want points for class! DEFINITELY recommend her! :)

Donohue is such a good professor! I thought I would hate this class because I don't like to talk in front of groups but she makes everything fun! I highly recommend taking her class.

Very nice teacher! Only took her class for 6 weeks(summer class) and she made everything seem easy! We barely used our text books, a lot of group-work though!

She's a babe, and this class rules. Very easy. You are expected to read the chapters, but a lot of the class content is taught through class activities. She has a very cool approach to teaching. Definitely recommend her. Just don't miss class.

She was an alright teacher, very clear on what she wants done. The worst thing i think was an essay project "this i believe"/ which we have to videotape on the last day, we watch them all as a class. Too much group work as well. but, otherwise really good, easy class. quiz questions come straight from the book. read the book & you'll be fine!

All of her classes are great, and she brings a fun aspect to it. Guidelines are very direct, you follow them. However in my experience if the whole class brings up and idea about the class and it is a logical idea. She usually will go with it or alter it a bit to fit the class what she intended. If you miss class you will not learn and will fail.

Professor Donohue is very knowledgeable, nice, helpful, and approachable. She takes time to really know her students and integrates a lot of things in the class to the outside world. Learned and applied a lot of what I learned from this class. Can't go wrong with this instructor or class. I highly recommend it!

I am taking interviewing with her and the class is very nice. I just don't like how she is not helpful when it comes to missing classes. Other teachers are more helpful. You have to call her Pro. Donohue (So annoying) I wouldn't take her again. she dropped a lot of students for missing couple classes. If you are late you are considered absent!

Great instuctor, very laid back fun type of an approach to teaching. She is young and very current and always has a great attitude so she is very approachable. And she is smoking hot! All content for tests is covered in class, I never even opened the book and still recieved an A. Highly recommend!!

Pro. Donohue is very hands on and likes to include the whole class for work. She has an impressive background, she is fun and knows what she is doing. DO NOT MISS CLASS. Her terms are very reasonable; show up on time and do your work. College isn't supposed to be easy is it? She really is great! Very pretty too!

Pro. Donohue is GREAT ! I had her for inter. comm. & the class is fun & easy ! attendance is mandatory but in class you'll be moving around talking to your classmates or taking a few notes for the EASY quizzes ! Easy A but that's not the only reason she's great, the way she teaches is awesome she doesnt talk at us she talks to us & she's pretty :)

I thought this class was very helpful. I learned a lot and her blended course was relatively easy. She allows four absences. However, she doesn't seem to be very sensitive to others about an absence. To her an absence is an absence no matter what the reason.

Best professor I've had at Century. I also took her for Interpersonal Comm with a similar experience. She's really helpful and will go above and beyond to help you. As long as you do the readings, pay attention, AND attend class, you should earn an A. I did and I would most definitely recommend her to anyone.

I've taken her before, and I'd take her again. She really does care about you, and wants you to do well in her class. If you read the textbook before a quiz, if you show up for class, if you work with your groups, you will do well in her class. I like the hybrid classes she teaches. You will learn about online and irl communication really well. :)

Amy is a great teacher, but if you take her online class it's very much up to the STUDENT to get the grade they desire. Reading your textbook and taking notes is essential to keeping a good grade. Discussions are easy, but without the book you'll be completely unprepared for tests. When she grades, she does not state why she marks something wrong.

This was honestly one of the easiest classes I've taken at Century. All you have to do is 2 discussion posts once a week and readreply to your other classmates and you will get an A. There are 3 test throughout the whole semester which aren't that difficult. She emails you once a week to tell you what's going on. She seems very nice.

It seemed a bit strange to take interpersonal communication online, but the textbook was good and the assignments were fun applications of the material to your own life. She gave very clear instructions to go beyond the minimum requirements to increase your grade and sent a weekly to-do list. Click every discussion post and read and write formally.

She gives out one homework assignment a week and they are easy assignments. The class is very fun if you participate.

Best class I have ever taken. She is makes learning fun. I learned a lot in her class. I am taking another class with her next semester. Take her!

Prof Rawson is dedicated to her field. I took her public speaking class and as long as you do the outline well and are passionate about your topics, you're going to get an A. Only one quiz and one test (both easy) and about four speeches (of which you can choose any topic you want).

I thoroughly enjoyed taking Professor Rawson's class, she clearly communicated what was expected, she followed up with any questions quickly and efficiently, and provided great feedback. Highly suggest taking any of her classes! Very Satisfied!

I honestly love this Professor. It's was an easy A. I took her online course and her tests and quizzes are not hard at all. It's everything that you have learned in the textbook. I'd rather take this course online than on campus because it's very flexible and you have homework every two weeks. She is very caring and understanding!

Prof. Rawson is amazing at what she does. The course is clearly outlined from the beginning so you know everything that will be expected of you. She is easy to communicate with if problem arise but do it early. Also for COMM1031 start the final project study guide as you go through each chapter, it has some of the same questions as the quizzes.

Professor Rawson is very knowledgeable and has an amazing teaching style. her class is very neat and there is no confusion at syllabus or schedule. she is very responsive to emails and flexible. work hard and get an easy A i really enjoyed her interpersonal online class and i would really recommed

It's relatively easy. Professor Rawson (as she insists on being called) gives you 2 weeks to finish units which consist of a quiz/discussion. The quiz answers come right from the powerpoint which is why you really don't need the book. But the grading for discussion posts is ridiculous, you have to read ALL of the posts/responses to get full credit

I love this professor - she was open to questions and gave great feedback. Would definitely take a class with her again.

I would have never taken the COMM Certificate if it were not for Amy Rawson. She encouraged me and saw things in me that I didn't see. She is the best teacher I have ever had. Take any class with her that you can.

It seems crazy to take an Interpersonal Communication class online, but I loved this class. This was my 1st online class and Professor Rawson had everything organized and easy to follow. I was nervous to try an online class but now I feel comfortable. She also was quick to answer questions when I emailed her. Great teacher!

Can tell she loves her job and what she teaches. This was a really fun class and I learned a lot. I would take another class with her.

Amazing Professor who really cares. Take any class you can with her! She really cares about her students and I learned so much about small group communication, (and myself) in this online class. She is intelligent and knows her stuff and wants her students to succeed.

Very well organized and online class. Even though we had a substitute for part of the semester, I hardly because it was such a good class. It is obvious she cares about teaching, and her students.

The class is pass/fail on all assignments and they're not graded too hard. Had to read three full books as a minimum requirement for the course. It was online so I didn't get to know her much of course, but from the interaction we did have she seemed very nice. She seems very passionate about the communications department, too.

I was intimidated from her first post saying that there were strict deadlines and you had to put in at least 15 hours a week to pass. But this class was easy as long as you put in some effort and turned in assignments on time! I am very relieved on how this class went and would recommend it!

Enjoyable class to take. Had her for Interpersonal Communication online and as long as your participate the expectations are pretty clear. Never had any problems with her.

I took Mass Comm. online with Amy. This was my first online class through Century and she made it a great experience! The class structure was very interactive and easy to follow. There was weekly reading from the textbook followed by quizzes (easy if you read) and an online discussion. Amy was readily available by email and very helpful throughout

I took the online class and loved her. there are 3 books and about 10 assignments you have to finish during the semester. super easy class. her responses to the work are very encouraging as well. I would definitely recommend her.

I took her Fundamental Public Speaking class Tuesdays and Thursdays. Amy was always so nice and willing to help the students! She gives back great feedback on speeches and outlines. Very laid back and lets you eat in class! I would definitely take her class again

The class is pretty easy. There is a discussion due each week and a total of 5 test. At the end she has a survey that is wroth half your grade. She's super nice and responded quickly when I've emailed her. I would love to take more of her classes!

She's a great professor and the course was easy. The assignments require reading the textbook and completing discussion boards, keep in mind this was an online class so it runs at your pace. She also made PowerPoints for note-taking which was helpful.

Professor Rawson wants you to pass and is willing to help. Do the readings, quizes, discussions on time and to standard and you are good to go! Pretty much self paced just get assignments in by the two week due date. Willing to work with Service Members as well, as I was called up and needed to extend an assignment.

Professor Rawson truly cares about her students. She wants to see her students succeed in her class. She understands with the pandemic here, it's a lot harder to interact in person. Her materials and homework for the fall semester were pretty easy. She is always helpful to any questions or concerns about the syllabus or assignments.

10/10 This was one of the best professors i have had in my almost 2 years of college. Highly recommend her for any course. She is very helpful, and her grading criteria is very easily understood.

Professor Rawson is one of the best professors I have had at Century! She was so sweet and answered emails quickly and the material and quizzes weren't too difficult. Her syllabus was also very helpful! I took this class as a gen ed requirement and it made me interested in communication! Definitely recommend her!

Her Interpersonal class was really easy. If you have any questions or concerns she gets back to you quickly and is very helpful. Just do the homework and turn it in on time. All of the stuff she requires is easy and quick.

Prof. Rawson is one of the best professors that I have had. She cares about the students. She answers emails quickly, has a clear syllabus, and is overall organized. The deadlines are strict, but very generous. The discussion boards are easy and the quizzes are not bad, just do the readings. Strongly recommend!

While we had to read every week, I love that this class is graded by only a few things. She is a great, respectful teacher that honestly wants you to pass and do well. I had her for two different classes and she was great each time. You have 2 weeks for a discussion and a quiz. Syllabus and schedule were clear cut. Definitely take her class.

A good professor. I didnt interact with her much but I didnt really need to either. She structures her class well, and I appreciate the due dates being every 2 weeks for 2 chapters. The material for this class was easy, and her quizzes are directly from the book. If you did the readings/took notes its an easy class.

Dr. Rawson is a good professor. I never really needed much from her when I did, she answered fast and explained it well. The content is interesting, and she always makes it fun and interesting with a video in the discussion thread. I would recommend to anyone who needs a communication class to check Dr. Rawson out.

Pretty easy class and content. The professor provides you with all you need to know in the syllabus and it's up to you to read the content to take the tests.

Never talked to Dr. R as this was an online course, but she seems nice from emails. This is a VERY easy class. You have 2 chapters to read every 2 weeks, 1 quiz, and 1 discussion post. Tests are every 4ish weeks. The syllabus you read at the beginning of her class seems very scary the way she describes the class, but rest assured, it is VERY EASY.

Excellent Professor! Would recommend and take again. Very nice. Inspirational and encouraging. I took the class in a condensed Summer 2 format and was sweating the homework, but it wasn't that bad. I definitely recommend. Good instructor!

I took it as an online class - early finish course so I did not interact with her, although through emails and announcements she seemed fairly sweet and thorough with her directions. If you're thinking about taking her class, do it. It's easy if you put work into it!

She was amazing! She actually made me look forward to class, (which is extremely rare for me). Definitely take this class if you can she's very easy just several speeches but she's amazing!

She was very kind to everyone in the class. For her public speaking course in general as long as you create a decent outline of a speech and go up and trudge through it you will most likely make it out with a good grade.

Awesome teacher! She gave me a 2nd chance when she didn't need to. very caring. I have taken a few classes with Dr. Rawson and she is my favorite teacher

Took her on campus Public Speaking class and it was honestly the best class I have ever taken! I actually looked forward to going to class (which is rare for me) and got to know my classmates (also rare). She is fun and I learned so much while enjoying it. If you can find a section of her COMM 1021 I highly recommend!

Blended/Hybrid class which was a nice way to get class done. She is smart and nice. I would take her class again. She cares about students.

I took the 8-wk Interpersonal course and learned a lot. Dr. Rawson set the online class up in a welcoming and clear way, and posts a checklist of assignments and reminders weekly. Two weeks for each unit, and if you turn it in before Friday, can get feedback and redo it. Assignments are enjoyable, no pressure. Mostly reading took time but was good.

This class has been the easiest class I've ever taken in my whole life, especially since it's an early finish class. It consists of just reading from 13 chapters (takes 1hr to read just 1 chp) and 4 worksheets (so easy, could finish 1 within 5 mins). She's definitely the type of prof who deeply cares about students and their success. Take her 100%

She is amazing tool all the fear away from us students on the first day. She always wants to help and during the hybrid portion she would reach out and give inspiring compliments. She is very easy to get along with but yet holds that professor student relationship very well. SMart and accomplished

Easiest class I have taken! I took the 8 week course, Quizess where very easy. There is like 8 things in the gradebook for the semester. She grades fast and not harsh, she also seems to have her students best interest. Take this class!!!

Rawson was an easy grader and didn't have too many assignments assigned.
