Amy is a funny teacher who goes above and beyond to help students comprehend materials.

Amy is awesome! She's really clear in her lectures and the PowerPoints are always really organized and easy to understand. She also gives great explanations and I could tell that she was really passionate about Chemistry. She's also a total nerd and makes a lot of Chemistry jokes but it was actually funny instead. Need textbook only for HW.

Prof. Satterlee is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about chemistry, which makes learning enjoyable and easy. She's clear on expectations, fair and organized. Needless to say I absolutely loved taking this course with her. She's funny and doesn't assign too much homework. Her exams are fair and I'd highly recommend her.

She is amazing. No textbook required in her class and her tests are all based on the learning checks and examples in the lectures. Highly recommended!

Amy is the best chemistry professor! Don't waste your time with any other professor. She tries her best to make her lectures easy and as simple as possible to understand. She uses her time wisely to explain the criteria and doesn't go to fast. Her homework, quizs, and tests are based off her learning check questions she goes over in lecture.

Amy is seriously one of the best professors ever! I took chem 121 with her and found it to be incredibly easy. We were able to use reference sheets on every test. She extra credit for each test, so make sure to do it all and it will secure your grade even more. I ended up finishing with over 100% in her class. As a bonus, she is hilarious.

Amy is a wonderful instructor. She's very funny and helpful, will answer all of your questions. No textbook required. All you have to do is read the lecture note, go to class. Exams are all based on the learning check in her lecture notes. Chem121 is my only required chemistry course so I can't take her class anymore, but I wish I could!

She's awesome. All her quizzes are opened, by all mean. You can use notes, phones, anything you can get. The exams aren't opened, but she gave you a paper covers all the formulas and periodic arrangement table so you don't have to memorize lots of stuff. Writing summarized paragraphs of chemical articles is the extra crd in her class. Best teacher!

Amazing!!! Maybe the best science teacher ive ever had. She has a way of explaining the material and you instantly get it. She doesn't confuse you or give you any extra information. If you attend class daily I promise you won't fail and the pop quizzes will be a breeze. Oh and she is hilarious!

Amy is BY FAR the best teacher I've taken at Pierce. She is so wonderful at simplifying everything you'll learn, which makes the class fairly easy. Her tests are straightforward with nothing tricky. You can tell she really cares about her students and makes a hard class fun! If you can take her, then do it.

No text book is required so you will want to be there for lecture. She explains it so you can understand it. She's super funny and always gives extra credit. Definitely recommended!

Amy's amazing. She genuinely cares about us and knows when something is hard to understand. Clear instructions, clear grades, super helpful, good amount of extra credit. Labs aren't super hard, just read them & follow the rules. Definitely helps if you take Chem 100 before but her class isn't super hard if you didn't. My favorite teacher so far :)

Amazing professor! Very laid back and always willing to help if you're struggling. Made chemistry easy and simple, and usually relates it to things that can be understood easily. The textbook is not required, it is just for extra practice. Make sure to print out the lecture notes. This class is quite simple, just check your syllabus calendar!!

Amy Satterlee is by far the best science teacher I have ever had. She magically makes every topic fun and easy to understand. Her test reviews are also EXTREMELY helpful! She is very kind and clearly cares about the success of her students (and she is also funny!)

She is an amazing professor. I took Che100 and 121 with her. She has her own stuffs, you do not need to buy any textbook. Pay attention to her lecturing , do homework by your own as much as possible before asking for any help or cheat , and do not be afraid to ask or email her on any concern. She is willing to help you out.

Amy is the best professor at Pierce! You don't have to show up to class everyday, but better attend in class for quizzes days which is reminded you on canvas. She gives extra credits that help a lots for exam. I had her chem121, she makes school works easier than any professor I ever had! It will be your best choice

Amy is very nice and a really great professor. Her course organization is the best I've seen; she gives all the files (including lectures) on Canvas. She has a clear defined schedule and is consistent with it. Her lectures are easy to understand. You can clearly tell she is very passionate about chemistry, or just science in general.

Amy is the best! I am prenursing student and was scared crapless about taking chemistry. But, she made it understandable to the average nonscience person. She is caring and wants you to succeed. She's easily the best prof I ever had. She gives homework after every lecture, but none of it is unnecessary or unbearable. It helps you study and is essential for understanding the material. Her lecture and use of class time is perfectly timed and everything is taught efficiently. She is drop-dead gorgeous too which is nothing but an added bonus.

Amazing!!! I had such difficulty comprehending chemistry until I took this course! She will break down the material step by step and work through lots of examples so you can understand the material. She really knows how to teach! Not only that, but she's hilarious too! I highly recommend this course.

Wow!! What an amazing professor!! Amy is everything you would want out of a professor. She has funny analogies to help you remember concepts, she provides you with tons of extra worksheets online to help you practice the material, extra credit related to chemistry easy and she does not trick you! Everything on exams is something went over in class.

She is by far my favorite teacher ever. I was terrified of taking Chem thanks to a string of bad science teachers but she such the opposite. She breaks down everything to the point where you can't help but understand it. All homework is in the back of the book so you can check your work and the final questions are taken from the unit test

Enjoyed this class a lot, she makes things easy to remember. There is a schedule in her syllabus that makes it easy to keep track of due dates too. Would take again, would recommend

LOVE the way this class is set up. Her syllabus is set up so you know exactly what you're doing that day, and when exactly your tests are. She is always willing to give extra help, and is always asking if people have questions. There is a quiz everyday and it is really good to see where you're at, so you know what to study extra for on the tests!

Amy is be far the BEST teacher I have had here at Pierce! I was so nervous going into this class and she made is very doable. There is weekly homework and quizzes but they are super beneficial and really help you succeed on your tests. If you have to take a chem class take AMY!!!!!

The goofiest nerd which manifests in her teachings and she'll tell it to you herself. Amy knows her stuff and is great at explaining things even in layman's terms. She's funny and smart. Her lectures are heavy but interesting and you are able to follow. Chemistry 131 is no joke and if you want to excel you need AMY!

Amy is very organized. She teaches in a way that even someone who has a hard time in chemistry would understand it. She has everything down from day one and goes accordingly to the schedule she hands out the first day. Tests are easy. She is funny and kind. Attendance is not mandatory but it helps to be in class everyday. DON'T SKIP CLASS.

Super easy professor and by far the easiest class I've ever taken. Test are extremely easy, you actually couldn't fail her class if you tried.

I was super nervous going into this class but Amy is a beyond amazing teacher, hilarious, and made the class very easy! One of your labs doesnt count so if you need to miss a lab or you just bomb one it wont count against you. She also offers 3-4 points of extra credit for each test. She is available out of class. I wish she taught 131 in the fall.

She has such a passion for Chemistry and she gives fun and entertaining lectures. She wants everyone to succeed and she makes herself more than available through email and her office hours. She helped me so much this quarter and really went above and beyond. She understands that life happens and will do her best to work with throughout the quarter.

She is always available if you need the extra help and she gives fun extra credit! She has a great teaching method and breaks things down completely. There is a a lot of homework but its worth it and helps so much on the exams. Exams are straight forward and not there to trick you. I wish she could teach all my classes. BEST PROFESSOR EVER

Shes probably my favorite professor and excellent at what she does. There wasnt a moment where I didnt understand anything. I didnt think chemistry was going to be an easy A but it was.

BEST chem teach I have ever had. I have always hated chemistry and she made me love the class. She breaks everything down and gives small quizzes every day that are worth 2 points just so you can catch if you are doing something wrong and fix it. She makes it fun! Gives a lot of extra practice problems so you can understand the material better.

Literally the BEST! She explains everything that makes it so easy to understand. She does partial credit on homework and tests. Im not a science person, and I made an A.

I took Amy for 121 and it was amazing! Got a 4.0. She made it very easy to understand. Daily "quizzes" for attendance. Her tests were exactly what she was asking and she didnt throw any curveballs or try and confuse you. Available outside of class and understanding that life happens. Hands down take her for any chemistry class. You wont regret it!!

I really enjoyed the format of this class because lectures were super easy to understand. She is also very funny and caring. As long as you take notes, correct worksheets and do the practice test, you will for sure pass. I wish she taught more classes because she made it super easy to understand chemistry

I absolutely love Amy. She is such an incredible professor and her lectures were never boring. I had no problem learning in that class because of her. She is super nice and her class was pretty easy because of hos good she taught. Recommend her 100%! Her lectures and powerpoints were so great! Just take her class, you will not regret it.

Best professor I have had. Lecture and class work prep you for the exams well. What is supposed to be an incredibly difficult class was clear and attainable.

Amy was amazing. Probably the most organized professor I've ever had, coming from a mostly A- to A student. At the same time, this class had a lot of work. 20 min of lectures a day, one article a week, 1-2 quizzes per week, & 4 exams per quarter. It is VERY do-able, though. She explains everything. Just watch the lectures, &you will do just fine.

This is the best professor I've had so far at Pierce College, and I have had a lot of good professors there. The class was more labor-intensive than any of the other classes I've taken, but by completing the assignments & taking good lecture notes I was completely prepared for every quiz and test. Her class is extremely organized. And she's funny!

Amy is hands down the best professor I've had at Pierce College, I've been taking classes there since July 19'. She really cares about her students not only succeeding in the class but really comprehending the material. I never took chemistry in high school and I am not a science nerd at all but I really enjoyed her class and her teaching methods.

I took her CHM 121 and 131 classes online, and both classes were absolutely amazing. She explains everything step by step so that anyone can understand it easily. Lab assignments seem heavy. If you follow her directions, you will do it with no problems. No curveball questions on exams.

I took her online chem 121 class and although it had many lecture videos, they were entertaining and informative. She used many real life examples of how it helps in your career, if you go into some sort of medicine like nursing or dentistry. She made the class enjoyable. She reads through your work and gives feedback.

Professor Satterlee is by far one of my favorite professors EVER. I was scared of Chemistry but she made it so easy to understand and fun. Must watch lectures to get a deeper understanding of the concepts but I promise you will pass with flying colors!! She gives you all the tools to be successful and shes also super sweet.

I took Chem121 online nervous as I didnt understand Chem100. After taking her class I was able to understand the material! She breaks down the information in a way you can comprehend. Watch the lectures along with the PowerPoints and youll do fine on the HW. Take your time on the labs. Read her feedback and youll pass the tests! No curveballs!

i was very scared to take organic chem but prof. satterlee made it understandable and clear. her lectures are organized and learning checks definitely help to pass exams.

I was worried about taking my first chem class. This was chem 100, and Prof. Satterlee's class is setup so that her lectures are on youtube. This was super beneficial to me because I could rewatch the lectures as many times as I needed to.

Teaches Units 1-3 ,there are weekly-quizzes,discussions and HW.There is 1 Exam for each Unit.There is a final exam and a research essay due near the end of the quarter. Good instructor and gives concise/ straightforward lectures. Assignments' due dates are not consistent so assignments are not due on the same day every week which I think is unfair.

Best teacher I have yet to experience at Pierce. All homework comes with answer keys and her videos are super helpful and usually less than 10-15 minutes long. The tests themselves are fairly easy if you're studying regularly and taking notes.

Amy is AMAZING! She was one of my prof's for my first ever quarter of college and gave an awesome first impression. Her lectures were very clear and easy to follow/understand. Worksheets came straight from content from the lecture which made them easy to complete. Okay with lots of questions. If you put in the time, you will do great in her class!

I was going through a difficult time when I was taking this class and Professor Satterlee was very understanding and empathetic! She really breaks down each unit in her lectures and as long as I took good notes, I didn't need to refer to the optional textbook that she provides. Her class is homework and quiz heavy but she gives the answers to you.

I love this professor! I've always had a hard time with science but her lectures go into great detail for the lessons. The only thing I don't love is that this is one of those classes that prevent you from moving onto another assignment if you haven't completed the first not a super big deal though. There can be multiple assignments a week be aware

This is by far the best science class I have ever taken. This professor provides a lot of informative lectures and articles. There is a lot of homework weekly, but if you pay attention to the lectures you will do well.

My favorite professor. She makes chemistry easy to understand. She uploads an answer key along with her homework worksheets to make sure you know you are getting the right answer along with why. Her directions are clear and concise and she uploads practice worksheets/quizzes before the exam to help students study. Wish I could take her for ochem

Amazing professor, she provides videos going through notes AND just the notes so the videos aren't required, worksheets are based on the lessons and the tests are super easy if you understood the lesson. 10/10 would take her classes again!

Hands down the best Chemistry professor you're going to find at Pierce college. She made Chem 121 fun and creative. She has her course so organized, she even sends out friendly reminders for every lab, exam, and homework assignments. She's very easy to get in contact with. Very welcoming, always gave positive words of affirmation. Love her!!!

best professor ive had in my life. i love chem bcuz of her. organized, and lectures are short, sweet & few. assigments are simple too shes kind, easy to contact. super smart. uses interactive models and things to help better see and understand concepts. quizes are simple and to the point. i would take her class over and over for fun the best!

Excellent professor! Lectures are packed with amazing information. She provides clear examples to help students understand the material. Lectures are videos so you can go back and re-watch when you feel that you missed something. Very convenient! Homework's, quizzes and exams are based on lecture. Overall, 10/10 and I would highly recommend!!!

I have taken chem 100 once and this was my second time. She has been the best teacher ever, her lectures were amazing, understandable, she gave great feedback every time you submitted an assignment. I am hoping to take her again for Chem 121, but I am on the waitlist! Highly recommend her!

This is the first professor to make Chemistry make sense, O-Chem at that. I could rave about her forever, I would 100% recommend you take her! It is hard work, but she makes it fun and interactive by playing with model kits to better understand what you are learning. She is so nice and reassuring, doesn't make you feel dumb no matter the question.

Satterlee is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Because it's 6 credits, some people think organic chemistry is really hard. She really makes the class easy. She is the most loving and nice teacher you'll ever meet. You can use any notes you have made for her online tests. Before the test, she will have a day to study and answer any questions.

Caring teacher

Prof Satterlee was pretty great, responded to questions/emails pretty quickly and fixed mistakes on Canvas as soon as she was made aware. There are A LOT of lecture videos to watch in this online course, but other than that, it was pretty good and the workload wasn't that bad at all.

Amazing teacher! Please don't hesitate to take her. While the class might be daunting at first, Satterlee breaks it down into very manageable chunks, and it's easily digestible. She provides amazing feedback for every assignment/test and grades fairly. Wish she taught other subjects!

Satterlee is one of the best professors I've had. Took the class through RS. Easiest A of my life. 2 assignments per week (worksheet w/ answer key for checking & discussion) unless there's a unit test. Lecture videos with notes, that explain material incredibly well. One group project for the final, light work. She truly cares about her students.

Professor Satterlee is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is very nice and understanding. She will go above and beyond to help her students understand the criteria. I really like how she will teach chemistry from the bottom up. She teaches it as though everyone in her class has never taken a chemistry class before. 100% recommend.

I find chemistry to be a difficult subject. I struggled with certain concepts and on the exams a bit. I still manage to come out of class with a B+. Professor Satterlee was very helpful and was a good teacher. There's about 1.5/2 of lectures per assignment and two of those a week. The class is laid out well and the pace felt good. 3 big exams.

THIS IS THE TEACHER TO TAKE!!! I cannot hype her up enough! She has been one of the best teachers I have ever had!! Her lectures actually teach you what you need to know in order to do well in class! The labs are fun and she genuinely cares about her students! I cannot tell you enough about how great she is! You won't regret taking her class!!
