nice person... explains everything moderately well.. however, she should consider joining her other three chipmunk brethren... yeah... the voice makes my ears bleed
oh god. SOOOO much better than Larsen in 4:11. She doesn't talk over your head and you can actually understand the material she teaches. Her test questions can be kind of a pain, but labs are so much better.
She does a much better job than the stick figure Larson. Interesting to listen to and tackles every aspect of the topic taught. Be careful though, her test questions are impossible so the best thing to do while taking the test and then running into one of her test questions is to just give up and use the eenie minie mo method. She is also very hot.
Seldom do you get a teacher who cares about if students learn as much as Dr. Strathman.
She's an awesome teacher and very very nice. The one backdraw of her class are the crappy TAs (which she can't help) and the impossible exam questions from lab... complete guessing game. Overall though, awesome and caring professor!
best chem prof so far. test questions can be tough
Helpful for case study, test questions are usually almost exactly like prelab questions only more confusing.
Very nice and caring professor. She makes sure that you understand the concepts and pretty much tells you the answers to the case study questions. I have an early lab and I've never fallen asleep or spaced off because she is that interesting! test questions are from the lab manual so not too difficult. Highly recommend!
VERY Helpful professor. I missed a case study which is usually no big deal but she met with me on her own time to make sure that I understood the material. Very good teacher! (TAs in this class suck tho)
yep. she's awesome.
Amy is one of the nicest professors I have ever had. She does case study for Chem I. Even though she knows case study is not the most exciting, she tries her best to make it fun. Really easy way to get points. Fairly easy grader. Always ready to help. Great Professor!
Class is hard. Prepare to work a lot. Exams are hard and the curves are less than that of Principles Chem. 1. Although, Strathman is a great prof, take her if u need to take Chem 2.
I had her for Principles 2. Fantastic lecturer. Engaging and interesting during lectures. Lots of work outside of class to practice material.
Very difficult class, but Strathman makes it a little easier to follow. If you have to take this class, I recommend Strathman.
She's one of the loudest lecturers I've ever had so at least you won't be falling asleep in class. Although I learned a lot through the course I feel that the tests were extremely unfair and that I wasn't able to apply what I learned. I would stay away from her if you can, there's better professors in the chemistry department.
She practically begs the class to answer questions when nobody knows the answer, and forces a long, awkward silence while waiting for some brave soul to speak up.
I took Principles of Chem II after not having any chemistry for 5 years. Her lectures were super clear, and I feel like her test were very fair for the class. I wish she were teaching all of my chem classes.
Tests are fair, but tough. Dr Strathman is a good lecturer. I took this class at 8:30 and she kept me awake. Very willing to help, but you need to ask for it.
A good lecturer with clear powerpoints. The material isn't very difficult and the lectures are posted. If you read before hand and ask for any clarification during discussion or office hours, you will be fine.
Pretty basic chem teacher. She is nice and tells funny stories. No regrets.
Amy was one of the best professors I've had in my 4 years at the University. Her enthusiasm in lecture actually inspired me to consider a career in chemistry. Her PCII course was pretty fair, tests are well written and very similar to the practice exams she provides. Just make sure you are actually trying on the homework, it's extremely helpful.
She is a very good professor. I took Principles Chem 2 with her and she was very good at teaching it. If you pre read lecture notes and then come to class and pay attention, the stuff is not too bad. She goes through a lot of slides during each lecture but like I said, pay attention and you will really like her.
She explains the difficult concepts very well in lecture. I found it more helpful to attend lecture rather than read the book. She includes many sample calculations and clearly states what you need to be able to do for the exam.
She's a great professor. She has a dry sense of humor, but at least she tries to make class fun for her students (some of her stuff is actually funny). Expect the curve to be less than it was in Principles one (many students are weeded out after one and principles two is easier than one). Best inorganic professor I've had at Iowa.
Dr. Strathman is just an overall great professor. The material and expectations were always clear. If you have to take a class with her, I wouldn't fret.
She is not a bad teacher. I found her lecture style to be fairly dry and it made paying attention and staying interested a little challenging.
Amy is a horrible teacher. She is so boring I fall asleep almost everyday. Her power points have way too many words on them. She teaches things that aren't even on the exam. The exams are extremely hard. They are nothing like the practice exams.
Chem 1120 is literally the second half of the Principles 1 book. Strathman is boring and unengaging most the time, but she tries. The lecture slides don't help, but all the professors use the same ones. Also, if you didn't catch on in Chem 1, the practice exams don't help. The extra problems on-line & the book will become your best friend
Amy may be teaching a tough class, but she is one of the best professors I've ever had! She has a way of making the most complex things feel easy. She is such a mom, it's great! If you go to her office hours, she'll answer all your problems and then some. Amy is a very caring and approachable professor.
This class was incredibly hard, however I thought Amy did a great job teaching.
Professor Strathman makes lectures pretty interesting and she is pretty good at explaining difficult concepts. I thought lectures went by pretty fast and I left understanding most of the material. A lot of outside studying is required for this class though.
I really liked Amy as a lecturer, she made concepts clear and always started class with upcoming dates, like exams, hw due dates, etc. She always seemed available and wanting to help, although I never went to her office hours. Would definitely recommend her.
Principles of Chem. 1 at Iowa is tough. Only way to do well in this course is to work, work, work! Strathman was a wonderful lecturer- very clear, organized, and answered questions well. She is also easily approachable. Key to this course: don't skip class, take the homework seriously, and try to gain access to as many practice exams as possible.
Prof. Strathman is one of the best professors I've ever had. She presents the material at a decent pace in an easy yo understand way. She makes it a priority to check for understanding and is considerate of her students.
Professor Strathman is a great teacher! She is very clear on what is expected for the course. I had her for Principles I & II and she does a great job at explaining concepts as well as working out mathematical problems in class. She even uploads her lectures onto ICON so you can go back if you missed something or if you don't feel like going at all
Had Strathman for principles 1 and 2. Amazing lectures helped even clueless students have a chance to succeed. Be prepared to put a lot of time into studying and reviewing for exams as test questions are very complicated and tricky. Strathman helped students be well prepared for every exam and is very open to questions during lecture and office hrs
Great teacher; she makes sure everyone gets the material before moving on. She makes class lighter than how it actually is.
I love Amy. She is really passionate about chemistry and she is willing to help her students learn in any way. She is never condescending, even one-on-one. The class is difficult, but as a teacher, she is great.
Definitely one of the better lecturers I've had. She's interactive, but doesn't get sidetracked and her lectures support and expand on the slides. Even if you don't go to lecture, take time to watch it online because her explanations of problems and concepts really helps.
She is one of the best professors I've had the pleasure to have. The class is a bit tough, no doubt, but she cares about her students and does everything in her power to get her students farther than they can go.
Good professor, she explains things well and provides many resources.
Strathman is a very okay professor as her lectures seem too slow in the beginning and are rushed by the end of the class. We would often spend too much time doing examples but would read slides straight off the screen at the end of the chapter. She is very good at being accessible, very knowledgeable, and takes questions during lecture.
Out of all three professors that led the Principles of Chem class, Strathman was the best. This class is a weed out, plain and simple. It's hard even for the really smart kids I know. Most STEM majors have to take it, so I recommend actually reading the book (I didn't and wish I would've) and do the MasteringChem without looking the answers.
Prof Strathman was a pretty good professor, she co-taught the class with a Scott Daly and was easily available outside of class.
Overall fine professor. The class is huge so there isn't a whole lot of chances to get to know them.
Professor Strathman is very clear in her lectures and is always willing to help out. The tests can be hard but the grading makes up for it.
Professor Strathman provides her students with the material that they need to succeed. While the content may be hard at times she is always welcoming of students into her office hours and will provide an in-depth explanation on any question you may have.
Strathman is the best freshman science professor I've had at Iowa. Principles of Chem is always going to be hard no matter who teaches it, but Strathman went out of her way to make the material accessible and make sure her students understood. Very friendly and helpful during office hours and receptive to questions during exam. Great all around.
Strathman is an amazing chem professor and it's clear that she really does care about the success of her students. Her lectures present the material in a way such that it is easy to understand. Not only that, she really appeared to enjoy what she was doing and is always willing to take extra time to explain something if you need help.
Amy gave really good lectures and cares a lot for her students success. She is very accessible and answers questions, however the class structure for this chem was not as well laid out- we had some weeks with no homework in the beginning and by the end they were rushing through chapters and assigning 3 homework assignments the week before finals
Professor Strathman is a good lecturer and is very clear about due dates for homework. I appreciated that she gave the class a heads up a couple of times on weeks when the homework assignments were more time consuming than normal, so I could plan accordingly.
Professor Strathman was my favorite professor from all of freshman year. She really cared about her students and their questions. She made lectures interesting and easy to follow/understand. I recommend going to lecture because she offered extra credit on exams for attending and participating in a certain number of lectures!
I loved Professor Strathman! She always tried to make sure that everyone understood what was being lectured and she was very accessible during office hours and whenever needed. You can tell that she loves teaching and just wants her students to do well. She times her practice questions very well in lecture to enhance learning for everyone.
Amy Strathman is reason I got an A in my first college Chem class. She is always willing if possible to explain concepts outside of class and her office hours are a god send. Go to office hours if youre confused- shell make sure you understand. 10/10 would take this class over if I had to.
Slides were posted online and lecture was recorded. Overall Principles of Chem was not a difficult class as long as you have taken and done well in high school level chemistry. Strathmen can be a bit pretentious but overall helpful if you need her.
Amy Strathman is a godsend. I understood more about chemistry when taking her class than I did during three years of high school chemistry. So helpful and really KNOWS how to teach. If I were to think of an ideal teacher, I would think of her. The class itself is SO HARD, but she makes it easy to learn and grow.
Prof Strathman was by far the best of the three professors I had for Principles of Chem 1. She was always able to answer students questions and every lecture was well thought out and her goal of what she was going to teach us each day was obvious.
I enjoyed Professor Strathman in chemistry. Out of the three professors we had during the semester, I found her to be the most clear during lectures and most likely to help students. Chemistry is a hard subject in general, but I think that she did a good job at making it a little easier.
She seemed like she genuinely cared about her students. She was the most clear during lecture.
I had Amy for both PChem 1 and 2 and I thought she was amazing. Both classes are very organized and her lectures are very clear and easy to understand. You can also tell she cares very much about having her students do well. She seems very passionate about not only Chemistry but in helping her students understand content thoroughly. Great teacher!!
I have loved every class I've taken with Professor Strathman! I found her classes to be pretty easy if you keep up with the homework. She also really cares about her students and makes sure they all understand what she is trying to teach.
She doesnt seem to care about her students at all, I went to her OH once and she was dismissive enough that I never went back. Of the three teachers for the course she wasnt the worst lecturer, but she wasnt the best either. Her lectures covered the material but didnt explain much. She did have admirable control over the class however
Out of the three professors that teach P-chem1 she by far had the easiest to under and most thought out lectures. She also did not use learning catalytics as religiously as the other professors.
I absolutely love Professor Strathman! I have taken both Principles I & II with her and she is my favorite professor. She understands that the material can be difficult but she is always willing to help you if you have any questions. She has been absolutely amazing with the transition to online classes because of COVID, too!
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, they clearly tell us what is expected and understands the difficult time everybody is going through. Amazing instructor, easy to follow and cares about students. Do your homework and show up to class.
I was lucky to have Professor Strathman for Principles 1 and 2. Best professor I have ever had! She was organized, you knew exactly what needed to be done and when, her lectures were engaging, and she made chemistry accessible to everyone. She adjusted the course so well when transitioned to virtual. She is one of the reasons I'm majoring in chem!
I personally don't really like her but the class is structured well and there are a lot of good resources. It's a good class and you'll likely succeed if you go to lecture and read the book. It isn't easy but the expectations are clear and you are given resources to achieve them. A solid teacher even though I don't particularly like her.
She is super helpful and she explains the material really well in her lectures. She also reminds students about what they have to do and when things are coming up so you don't feel like you're alone in the class. Great teacher overall, would totally take other courses with her if she taught them!
This class is very lecture heavy. Professor Strathman reads directly off the notes slides that come right out of the book. She does not expand on anything else that would be expected to know for the tests. The exams are very hard and are worded strangely. She is there to answer questions but makes you feel uneducated and treats you like a kid.
I had a good time in class up until I felt like she was just there to teach and did not have much love for her students. I just felt like she was always annoyed when I tried to ask her a question or reach out.
Great professor who will guide you through difficult problems. Lectures are a must watch if you want a good grade. Lecture pace is normal and allows you to take good notes.
Very straightfoward but effective style of teaching. Understands how to make sure students know the material without overcomplicating anything, and Prof Strathman does a good job at talking through the Let's Think problems. Accessible and easy to understand slides, and she knows how to relate to students. Definitely not the worst prof.
Chemistry is a difficult subject, but she simplifies it to a level that is easy to understand. She gives the best lectures I have received during my schooling. Lectures are brief, clear, and concise. Overall the best professor I have had so far.
Definitely a difficult class, but she does her best to explain every unit thoroughly. Watch every lecture as she goes through harder problems in depth. While she is pretty good, make sure to have alternative study techniques as exams are not easy whatsoever.
Really good professor. Was to the point and clear about course material. Super accessible as well, and generally just seems like a good person. Exams always felt straightforward except for like 1 or 2 questions that kinda felt like trick questions. If you didn't struggle in P-chem 1, P-chem 2 will be fine.
Hands down had the best lectures, cleanly delivered course material while not being overlong. Honestly the class is not as bad as people say. The tests aren't that bad if you find a good study method and stick with it.
Strathman is an amazing professor! She really cares about her students and gives great feedback. She's very helpful during office hours and really wants to help you succeed.
Chemistry is difficult and she did a decent job explaining. But be prepared to cry and feel like youll never understand.
Professor Strathman was a great professor of General Chemistry. She makes course content clear and has good lectures. She is nice and cares about your grade and wants you to succeed. Just make sure you attend lectures, finish homework, do well on the quizzes and you'll do good in the class.
She is an okay professor, but she tries to act like she cares about her students more than she actually does. I wish she would have had longer office hours because 1 hour is not enough time to answer all of the questions people had. It takes her weeks to reply to emails. I studied hard for exams and still did not feel confident when taking them.
I was super worried about taking my first chemistry course in college, but Strathman teaches things so well. Her lectures are so easy to follow and she explains difficult concepts with ease. She is also dedicated to her students and overall runs a great class. If you work hard you will do well.
I thought professor Strathman was very good during the lectures! I could tell she really cared about the topics we covered and I was able to learn better from her more than her co-professor. Information does come at you pretty fast, but I normally felt very prepared for exams with the resources she offered to us.
Strathman is ok at best. Professor tends to be very passive-aggressive and fails to be personable. Strathman rushes through material so all lectures sound like they're in 2x speed. Office hours are usually extremely packed, leaving no seats available. I am a science major and found this class difficult. Try to avoid professor if possible!
Terrible experience, would never take her course again! Professor neglected my discussion groups concerns and told us, Its not our top priority but at this point it had been a month with nothing done. She claims she cares about her students grades, yet didnt seem to care as much as she put out. She began to grade disregarding the syllabus.
Professor Strathman was to say the least a disappointment. She has no relationship with her students. Lectures were all pre-recorded, played on 2x speed. Almost all of exam averages for the class were in the 60% range if that reflects anything. If you have a good T.A. and attend SI you will be fine, do not rely only on the poorly given lectures.
Shes a good teacher and explains things very slowly to make sure a 5th grader could understand her. gen chem is pretty easy but shes a nice woman
Shes overall really great and is always willing to answer questions. She is really passionate about the topic and is always ready to try new explanations if you dont understand it.
She does really well at explaining all concepts and is always willing to help students no matter what. She really wants to see everyone succeed.
Her lectures were very boring and she was uninterested in answering questions. Kind of rude when asked any questions.
Learned SO MUCH from her! The exams were tough and homework wasn't the easiest, but it was a very managable amount of work for a 3 SH class. Go to lecture and for the love of God actually participate. Put in the work, and start studying for exams early. Don't expect her to just give you the answer on homework, she wants to help you get there.
Her lectures are very good, I would recommend watching them when they come out and when you are studying for the exams. If you can do all of the let's thinks you will probably be just fine. Her office hours are kind of rough because she takes so long to explain one single question, but her lectures are very good.
Really enjoyed her lectures as she explained things concisely. Went to her office hours many times and she made sure to approach a problem/ explanation a different way if I was confused. Definitely one of the better professors in the chem department
she's honestly a great professor, go to office hours as much as you can, even if not she explains concepts and problems in lecture really clearly. In terms of office hours, she will help you answer your own questions by explaining a general concept and then having you follow the steps accordingly which is a super great way to learn
She does a great job at explaining things in class. She made me feel dumb during office hours and every time I asked her a question, she would answer it with another question. Kind of defeated the purpose of me attending her office hours. If you go to lecture and do your homework you will be fine
Wonderful Professor. Good at explaining. Many lectures, not easy access to extra practice problems. However, I took this class online in Fall of 2021 so maybe things have changed. Found it less organized than Principles of Chem, but maybe that's just because there's so many topics to get through that there is not much time.
Professor Strathman was a great professor. She seemed to really care about her students and was always willing to answer questions. She clearly delivered the material in a way that was easy to understand.
Put in the effort and you will like the professor. Really cares about learning and has office hours if you have questions. Chemistry is a fun class and the discussion section actually reflects what you learn in lecture instead of being completely off topic and useless.
horrible
She is very good at teaching but made me feel incompetent during office hours. I would come to her with questions that I could not figure out and she would respond with "well what do you think"... Like obviously if I am here I have no clue what to think...
This class was harder than I originally thought. Go to class, keep up with the book material outside of class, and go to office hours with any questions. There is a lot of material covered in this class quickly so you need to make sure you understand it well, especially if you want to do well on the tests.
Amy was a great professor during my time in the class. Really made lectures clear and easy to follow. I enjoyed when she was out teacher for the day. Definitely come to lecture though and stay on top of homework and studying. Overall, would want her as my teacher again.
Amy was my favorite professor out of all three. She explains things clearly during lecture, and she is easy to understand. There is a quiz every week along with online homework that you have to do if you want a good grade. I thought the class was easy, but I studied a lot. Those who didn't failed tests. Just pay attention in lecture and take notes.
I never would have thought I would say I enjoyed a chemistry class... Amy was awesome, the course was engaging and organized perfectly with actual in-class practice on the concepts we were learning. I somehow enjoyed getting up and going to my chem class, always feeling well-prepared for the exams. Loved this class because of Amy
Maybe a 3/5 is a bit harsh but of the 3 professors who taught this class, she was my least favorite simply because she went over stuff a bit quick and she's a very serious and emotionless teacher so lecture got a bit boring with her. But overall, she was fine. Attendance is not mandatory, but extra credit was offered through lecture participation
She was way better than claudio, they switch off lecturing. Very easy to understand and follow along with in lecture, but the exams are hard. She cares about her students and is very accessible outside of class. I would take another class with her
Amy was amazing! She is by far one of the best professors I've had so far. She talks very clearly during lectures and makes sure that students fully understand material. I've learned way better from her than Claudio and I feel her lectures align better with exam material. She is always willing to help and is so kind! 11/10 :)
Professor Strathman explained concepts so well in lecture! Super friendly, approachable, and funny. Overall great professor!
super sweet and approachable. i could actually pay attention when she lectured. sometimes she would rush and not explain things really clearly. amazing woman and she always tries to lift the mood up
Professor Strathman is a great lecturer and makes confusing concepts make sense. However, be prepared because P Chem 2 is much harder than P Chem 1. The exams are difficult and the concepts are much more complex. Reach out for help when you need it.
Professor Strathman was very good at explaining the content needed for this course. She was really able to explain it on a simile level. Some professors are hard to understand because they talk so sophisticated to where i never learn anything, while she really dug into how to do everything in simple terms. Her office hours are EXTREMELY helpful
Def one of the best profs that teach the Pchem series. She is very understandable and in depth in lectures, which made reading the textbook completely optional in my opinion. the only thing i regret about taking pchem 2 is not going to her office hours more often along w the other profs. iclickers are all for extra credit. do the practice exams!!
Professor Strathman really is everything I could ask for in a chemistry professor. I really have no complaints.
A great lecturer and truly helps you understand the class topic!
Strathman doesn't like it when people leave early from lecture. That's my only complaint. She's good at prompting in lecture thinking and learning Via questions and always makes time for interaction between individual students and herself. Be brave! She gives good feedback, or at least, doesn't make you feel stupid for needing clarification.
AMY IS MY QUEEN, SO SWEET AND GIVES OFF MOM ENERGY. I LOVER HER!!!!
Professor Strathman is an incredible lecturer and just an incredible human. She hosts a plethora of office hours that are very helpful for those that choose to attend. She has a clear way of explaining things and tries to make sure that everyone has an understanding of the concepts. I could not recommend her more as a professor!!
Attendance isn't mandatory, but they do iClickers which are for participation in class and at the end of the semester you can get bonus points from them. She is very clear in lecture and explains the material very will. Very interactive with students in lab too. Best chemistry professor I have had.
Dr. Strathman is an amazing professor, her expectations for the class and explanations are clear and easy to understand. With Dr. Srathman learning chemistry is easy.
Amy the goat.
By far the best professor I have had yet at the University of Iowa. She explains everything so well and makes sure we all understand before moving on in class. She is 100% there to help you learn and wants you to succeed
THE BEST IN UIOWA CHEMISTRY THERE IS. So caring and good at explaining the content. She makes this upper level chem course feel like heaven.
Strathman has been my favorite chemistry professor thus far at Iowa. Attendance isn't mandatory, but in class there are iClickers which count for up to 10 points of extra credit at the end of the semester. There are 3 midterms and the course content is pretty difficult, but Strathman's lectures are great!
Good lectures and engaging. Helpful when questions are asked.
She is one of the main lectures for General Chemistry. She lectures well and gives you all the information you need. She is also helpful in office hours. Class has many tests that are few questions high points so it can mess with your grade. Keep up on class material and attend lecture thats how you get extra credit. 12-15 points of extra credit.
Very enthusiastic in lectures and great at making a point of what will and won't be on the test. My only complaint is that some of the material is complicated, and could have been batter explained
Great professor - explains concepts clearly and makes chemistry engaging. Attendance is mandatory but worth it. Unstuck ai was super helpful for study prep.
I love Dr. Strathman with my whole heart. She is so helpful, I went to her office hours at any point I didn't understand something, from her or Dr. Small or Radzewich. She's the best professor I had this semester; she truly wants you to succeed, walking around in lecture checking to make sure you understand what's being taught. LOVE !
I loved Amy she was so nice and always helped me when I had questions. Her lectures were super engaging and helpful
I love amy strathman and will defend her until the day i die. She moved at an appropriate pace to cover all course material but also did a great job of answering questions and explaining things in detail. she also very clearly communicates her office hours and genuinely seems to care deeply about her students.
FAVORITE gen chem professor out of the 3! She recognizes the material is hard and takes the time to thoroughly explain it. attendance isn't required but you get extra points if you go so I would recommend it. 3 exams & 1 final, weekly quiz, and homework. Exams are short but each question is worth a lot of points so it's easy to get a low score.
The class is graded really easy, as long as you do all of the ALEKS homework, weekly quizzes, and show up to class/discussion. Prof. Strathman did not really teach me anything this semester however. I really only remember her just yelling all lecture and reading word for word off of slides.
Lectures were good and all material was taught at a base level. The grading criteria is clear and has a lot of wiggle room.
LOVED Amy and she was a great Chem teacher especially for teaching a mainly freshman level class. She explains concepts well which was important to me coming from a high school who did not have a good chem department. 3 midterms + cumulative final for grade plus a lot of extra things. You can do bad on the exams and still pass with at least a B.
I loved Professor Strathman, she lectured at the perfect speed and explained things well. This class is really easy to get an A in if you just start studying about a week before exams.
Great at breaking things down to make it understandable. Great transition from high school to college as well. Super clear on what the class entails.
Class is fine, pay attention or you wont succeed.
Outstanding professor. She was very patient with her students and showed that she truly cared about us as individuals. She really does want to see her students succeed. The class was fairly simple, just make sure to do the homework and pay attention in lecture.
Rather than teaching she just puts up examples on the screen and has you do them, most iclickers have about 20% of people getting them right, then they just move on. Somewhat personable but not at all worth it considering the poor quality of teaching. She also will stand there and wait until the entire lecture hall is silent (annoying)
10/10 professor! Dr. Stratham does an amazing job explaining complex topics in an easy to understand way.
Best pchem 2 professor by far, super nice and had very good explanations. Pchem 2 isn't that bad if you study for exams and know how to do so correctly. Show up to lecture and put some study time in, and you will do good.
She explained the material well and tests accurately reflected lecture content and difficulty.
She is awesome! She makes sure students are engaged and cares about their success.
Shes the best out of the three professors for gen chem 1. Super easy to understand, helps students while they do practice problems. Highly reccomend.
Very sweet and good at explaining concepts.
Professor Strathman is a really good instructor. Shes clear to understand and lectures are good. The only problem I have is with the course and just the chem department as a whole. They are very stuck up and not flexible with students (exams feel like your taking an act). Go to lecture do the hw and STUDY for the exams. Overall not bad. Do the work
She and Professor Smalls carried the course. They were super good at explaining and made the lectures bearable. I would say the class was difficult but manageable. You need to attend lectures since they do tophats, yet if you don't want to go to your exact lecture time, you can go to a different one.
