It's rare to find a professor who can challenge you and still make you enjoy the class. Prof Tran's exams are not easy and you really have to work in her class to get an A. But she is very knowledgable and reasonable. I have taken 3 classes from her and always felt that I learned A LOT.

This was the most difficult class I'v ever had. But I learned so much from it. Profession was very supportive and responsive. She was very available to me and always responded to my emails within an hour. She graded very generously too. The materials from this class are a treasure trove.

Class was very mathematical and technical.But professor was an excellent teacher. If you read the assigned readings and attend lectures you should be able to follow. Homework every week. The hw is quite difficult so you need to keep yourself on top of the materials to complete. She grades leniently but won't allow make-up assignments.
