She is a really good teacher who wants students to do well. She makes the class fun and has a good personality.

Be forewarned she has a very interesting style of dress and looks incredibly young! But she is an AWESOME lady! She is willing to work with you and help you WHENEVER you need it. Lots of projects for those of us who suck at math and still want to pass! Study for her tests though! They are hard for people who are not good at math!

She was a very good teacher. I understood everything she taught in class. I usually do bad in math but she made the class fun and she is a very laid back teacher.

Yes, she dresses differently, but she is an excellent teacher. She is willing to help if you need it. As long as you turn in your work on time, and study for your tests you will pass this class. Highly Recommended!!!

This class was very easy. She did not teach you everything about everything, only what was going to be on test. He gave out a ton of extra credit. So libral on grading will give you half credit even if the answer is wrong. Take her if possible!!!!

I thought she was a good overall teacher. Test information was well covered and she gives partial credit for answers with minor mistakes. If math is easy for you, this class should be a breeze. If you struggle with math, you should still be able to do alright in this class if you don't miss too many classes.

I thought she was an excellent teacher. Thought of ways to make the classes interesting, I really understood the content. Noticed that those who didn't like her were those who spent the entire class NOT paying attention. Listen up and you'll do great! Textbook used maybe once or twice, but the online component (Course Compass) used often.

I don't agree with some of the negative feedback. If you ask her something, she will answer you clearly, you just have to ask. Very little homework, or book usage. Not the most exciting class, but I would recommend her if you need a math credit.

I have never taken a math class and been sure I was going to pass it, let alone enjoyed it. She is extremely interesting, and will patiently (trust me) answer any and all questions. She is never in a bad mood at all, and is very quirky with the way she dresses and does her hair (I actually think it's awesome!) and has a great sense of humor.TheBest

The material is not too challenging, and she takes time to answer questions. My only complaint about the experience has been that she relies heavily on groupwork -- something I think is unnecessary in math... and frankly, something I dislike in my learning experience. I prefer to work alone, so it's the one place where I take issue.

I liked her a lot. She's really down to earth and understands there's more to life than her class. The only problem I had was that she goes over really easy questions as examples in class and then on the test, the problems seemed harder.

Mrs. Schwenke is an interesting teacher. She is rather energetic when she teaches about math (good for an evening class, especially), and explains everything out step by step very clearly, and never loses patience. Not a hard teacher, and she gives lots of partial credit, but not an "easy A," either.

Very simple class. Mrs. Scwenke is a bit quirky but fun and makes the material easy to comprehend. We didn't use the textbook, but we had to buy it to get access to my math lab anyway. Made an A in the class and it was at 8am and I missed the max allowed amount of days.

I'm not good at Math but Ms. Mckee is a pretty good Math teacher. While we do often spend a great deal of time working on things that won't even be graded instead of things that will, overall I wouldn't say she's a bad teacher. if you're looking for a decent math teacher then you can't go wrong with her. Always answers questions too.

I took her hybrid course in Fall of 2013. She is a unique person - but that lends to an interesting class. She is overly helpful and really tries to help her students. There were several times where she extended deadlines for the entire class. I feel like she went out of her way to help us all do well. Excellent math teacher!

Great teacher!! Everything was clear and to the point no confusion. Will allow you to work ahead on the online course. Gives partial credit so even if you don't know the whole problem at least attempt it.

Math was never my best subject, but Ms. McKee is an excellent teacher. Yes, you really need to spend the time reviewing her notes and doing practice questions, especially if you take this class online. And while I'm no fan of group projects, having other people to bounce ideas off of was actually helpful in this case.

She is really there for you. Down to earth teacher. Would take her for another class.

Very patient and she was very nice. I liked her as a person and a professor but there was just too much course work. Expect daily quizzes due every night. The labs are tough to do if you don't pay attention in class and they're worth a big part of your grade. Not a bad professor though. Just too much work.

My first impression of her was "oh no she's gonna be one of those crazy math teachers" because let's just say she has a very unique wardrobe. I love it though because she's such a nice person and good professor. She gives you TONS of resources. She has her own youtube channel for goodness sake so if you're confused she's got videos for everything.

Math is never easy. You get what you put into it. She is there to help you entirely. I never had an issue with that. I really liked how the tests percentage did not outweigh the classwork, quizzes, and labs. If you make A's on classwork and fail the tests, then you can still get a B/C in the class.

I thought she graded things very fairly(she gives a lot of partial credit) and was always there for you if you had a question. At first I thought this class was going to be a real pain because she assigns a lot of online quizzes but it turned out to not be bad and good practice material. I enjoyed her style of teaching. Pretty cool personality too

Definitely a hard math class, but she's very sweet, cares about you, and wants to help. Gives lots of partial credit. But you really have to study to do well. You HAVE to do the homework to understand the material, and gives several review quizzes before tests. Loved her teaching style, made things easy to understand.

Ms. McKee-Schwenke is a good teacher. She goes over example problems in class, but beware, she will not give examples for every type of problem seen on the tests. She does not give pop quizzes, but she does give quizzes before the unit tests. These quizzes are really helpful in preparing for the unit tests. I would recommend her for MAT171.

Before I talk about the class or professor I would definitely say LEARN THE CONTENT!! She does a lot of group labs and uses your individual work to partner you.. Also visit the ILC OFTEN! As for Prof. Mckee she is very helpful and gives great feedback. She gives partial credit and gives study guides. All the tools to pass this class are given,.

Ms. McKee was a very great teacher. She wants to make sure her students have a solid math background and will spend any free time in class going over things that they might struggle with. However, the material is very tough and there are a lot of online quizzes. She is aware of the difficulty of the tests and therefore gives lots of partial credit.

Webassigns suck but mrs mckee does not. i am confused on why she doesnt have a 4.0+ rating. she is very caring and helps us students succeed. as long as you try, you will be fine. shes "different" but very nice and helpful. gives a lot of partial credit if you just try. she really knows what she's doing!

She is awesome! Very helpful. Goes above and beyond to help you. The layout of the class was a little confusing because the content is all over the place her YouTube channel, textbook, lab manual, Blackboard. Sometimes I didn't know where to look for answers. There was a lot of course work.

Ms. McKee is a solid teacher. She teaches all the material on the tests and helps students prepare for every test. There are, however, a lot of webassign quizzes. She also offers a lot of extra credit (almost 2% of my final grade). The only drawback is her scattered teaching style. But, if students pay attention in class, they will pass.

She is one of the best math teachers i have had. she is caring and will work with you if you contact her. she is not a hard grader when it comes to test just try your best and she will give credit. she gives a lot of work so stay on top of that. The only things I didn't like was she wasn't that organized and she takes a while to update grades.

By far my favorite math professor at Wake Tech. This is not an easy course, so you must put in the work. Professor McKee breaks down the difficult material to this class to the bone and will help you succeed. If you have to take any math course and she is available, TAKE HER! You won't regret it.

MS. Mckee is honestly a great teacher. idk why she has such a low score here. she gives out extra credit and a lot of partial credit since she understands its a hard class. she also does not judge you for asking stupid questions, whereas other teachers will tell you that you should have learned that in the previous class. I recommend!!!

One of my favorite teachers I've ever had! The class was difficult but Mrs. Mckee was really understanding and helpful. would 200% have her as one of my teachers again!

Pre-Calc is going to be tough no matter who your prof is, the facts. If you take her you will have an easier time with the class though. she is readily available for office hours. As long as you ACTUALLY put the work in and do all of the assignments on time you will be fine. Utilize the ILC review sessions for this class, they are super useful.

Please ignore harsh ratings. Her lectures are very easy to follow. If you attend classes, ask questions, and raise issues you have with grading to her attention she will help you out. I was worried about this class, but I can tell you that you do not need to be. You will need Webassign-but that's the department's decision-not Mrs. McKee-Schwenke's.

Shes a good teacher and very straight forwards 172 was just not that easy. Shes teachers good and does her job well. Her rating just makes it looks like shes a bad teacher even tho she isnt

Professor McKee is a kind-hearted and passionate teacher. I took MAT-171 and MAT-172, with MAT-172 being taken over the summer. If you care and are willing to push yourself in Pre-Calc, this class will be a breeze. It kinda stinks that Professor McKee doesn't teach MAT-271, I would pay in a heartbeat!

I took MAT171 Hybrid. You have about 4 desmos lessons a week and a quiz too that you have 3 opportunities to answer each question. There is always plenty of content to help you review for test and she has office hours at least once if not twice a week.

Mrs. McKee was a nice and caring professor. I took her hybrid classes and attending the in-person class actually helped way more than I thought. The course has multiple assignments and 1 test as well every week. This is one of the harder math courses, but towards the end of the semester she lets you go back to old hws and quizzes to raise ur grade

She is actually a pretty nice teacher. I highly recommend asking her any questions you have, because 9 times out of 10 she will be able to clear up any confusion you have. Ms. McKee is REALLY fair grader. We do our tests on paper, so as long as you show your work you can get partial credit if your answer/work is close. Be prepared to take notes!

Mrs. McKee is a great professor! While this class has lots of homework, quizzes, and assignments, that may be overwhelming at times, they are helpful in mastering material. Very flexible, understanding, and easy to reach. Very fair grader and gives partial credit when she can. Would love to have her as a Prof. again.

Shes a very great Teacher

This has by far been the most difficult class for me. Although professor McKee is super nice and tries her best to be there for her student, it is a very heavy workload. The tests are what weigh your grades the most therefore, be ready for lots of math practicing. She gives partial credit for in person courses!! Life saver!!

You could bring a notecard with notes for exams, however, some of the homework was a bit confusing and I believe she did not explain it well. But I still enjoyed her class, and the projects I did with other students would be a easy grade. I would take her again.

Precalc is hard no matter who you have! This course assumes you have prereq skills but they are reviewed some in the first unit. She does guided notes and then practice from the Lab Manual in class. This worked very well for me but it does require strict attendance! Try to take this class with as few other credits as possible IT WILL TAKE PRACTICE!

So sweet and caring! This class was by far one of the harder classes I've taken but not because of the prof! Ms Mckee is so helpful. This class should definitely be taken in person and prepare to devote a lot of time towards this class.

I loved this class and Mrs. Mckee. She is very sweet and entertaining. I loved her lectures even though this class was challenging. If you skip class, you will be very confused. Classes are long, and complete concentration is required. The group project was fun and relatively easy. I would recommend this class to anyone who needs to take it!
