The first day of class Bari said "This class will be easy. My goal is to make you a programmer. If you try, you will get an A." His class is structured well, taught thoroughly, and graded accurately (if not easily). Assignments are few, and there is no attendance, although I-like most-chose to attend class because of how much I enjoyed it.

Excellent Professor - I learnt a lot in his class he is very smart and knows a lot about Java and programming. I like how he is very quick in responding to emails and questions and tries everything to help us succeed and learn

Bari was an all around great professor for the new intro to Java course. He really helped not only the people who knew programming but the students were just getting started as well. Test are a bit tricky but the amount he helps you through it will get you a good grade for a reasonable effort!

I was not looking for to this class, but Bari made it interesting and practical. The presentations had us researching modern technologies that are used today. Presentations were more a way to make sure we understood a topic and not as busy work. Grades are based on a few presentations, one group project, and one take home final.

He was very helpful and taught the class with great enthusiasm. If you have a problem with your grade you can go to him and he will help you out. You MUST show interest in order for him to help you. His class is not easy, but he walks you through everything in order to make it as easy as possible.

He is the best professor. He is so helpful and will NOT continue until he is confident that everyone in the class understands the material. Attendance, while it is not mandatory, is NECESSARY to do well in this course. Practice makes perfect with this guy so GO TO YOUR LABS. This professor is perhaps the greatest computer science professor George Washington University has to offer. He has good office hour times and spends quite a bit of his time during project deadlines or quizzes with extra office hours. Fun course work, VERY HELPFUL, fun to talk to, loves student interaction and is an all around great teacher

AMAZING PROFESSOR! if you attend class and go to this office hours you will have no problem in the class. He is incredibly helpful and only wants you succeed. There a couple of long homework assignments, and the tests require memorization of code and pseudo codes.

Professor Bari is the perfect example of how a college professor should teach. Before I took this class, I had no knowledge of programming, but now I know a great deal! You have to work hard, but his constant support and encouragement in a subject that, under different instruction, could seem impossible, makes it entirely doable and worthwhile. Bari is an amazing professor, who really cares about his students' well-doing. He's often available during office hours and gives extra credit. The class is not too challenging and the workload is medium. If a student's input is null however, the class could return a LowGradeException.

Professor Bari is very helpful. He truly wants you to learn and succeed. If you cooperate and try hard, the class should go well for you. We had office hours after class and he would answer people's questions right after class before office hours. The class is not a walk in the park, but it is not very difficult either. You just have to work hard.

He really cares about you doing well, so if you go to his office hours and show him you care you will get a good grade. He expects a lot, and gives you a lot of work, if you stay on top of it and keep going to him for help its not too bad, but procrastinate and its not a pretty site. Overall amazing professor.

Professor Bari is really nice. He wants every students to comprehend every thing he teaches. The class is easy that everyone could get at least a B+ as far as I know. However, However, I still confuse about how he grades students because I was always among the top 5 or 6 students in quizzes and exams, but I just received A- in final grade.

He is a God of a professor. Ever professor should strive to be like him. He cares about your learning in programming more than your grade. He will sacrifice his own time to help you and make sure you do well. He is easy going and will never miss out on an opportunity to help out. Very friendly as well. Professor Bari is always willing to help student who need a little extra time to understand the work. He's very clear and will always stay around an extra hour to explain something. C is not the hardest thing to understand for the first few months, and then it picks up and he really shows how much he cares about his students!! Take him if you can!

You will get the grade depending on how much effort your put in. I made the mistake of working last minute and ignoring things which will give me a sucky grade but put in the effort and you will regret nothing. Bari is patient and will answer any questions. This class is designed to help you think through a problem as a programmer.

He is so helpful! The homework assignments were pretty lengthy, but he's always there to help and wants you to learn C more than anything. Your grade is a couple of (small) quizzes, a midterm and final, project, assignments, and some participation. The midterm is worth more than the final!

Lecture is very clear. Gets much harder after the midterm. Lab assignments can be tough. Go to office hours and you should be fine.

Bari made CSCI 1121 both challenging and fun. It's nice to have a teacher whose first priority is for his students to learn. While Bari doesn't bog you down with homework, he gives you along of chances to practice your programming skills. As long as you put sufficient time into the class, you will both learn a lot and receive a good grade.

Very good professor! Assignments tend to be difficult as well as quizzes, but in the effort and you will do well. Allowed a full sheet of paper for quizzes and exams.

His assignments can get pretty difficult and/or time consuming, but they teach you a lot and the knowledge/expertise you earn is worth the effort you must put in.

Professor Bari is super helpful if you have any problems. He cares more about your understanding of the materials than grades. If you have any trouble, I advise visiting him in his office hours (get there early, the line gets long quickly!). The material on quizzes and exams arn't too challenging, but make sure you manage your time wisely.
