It's almost impossible to ignore her lively aura; she's the friendliest, most loving professor I've had. It's almost all over now and I'm pretty disappointed that I have to, in a way, give her up. The class has been a blast all year; you really expand and grow as a person and in English skills. :D

I like how Professor Raptis has brought in several guest speakers to speak with us about each of their individual experience instead of just going over the chapters in the textbook like other professors would do. The guest speakers have really helped me to have a better understanding of what corrections is really about. Such a great professor!!!

You can't fail without feeling stupid. With 30yrs at JJAY she is very realistic about the amount of responsibilities students have. She wants you to do great, so she designs her lectures in a simple way. For her the most important thing is that the student learn something. A movie review, a short research, and a final. Take her before she retire.

If you need to take a Corrections 101, this is the Prof. to take it with without a doubt.. She's genuine, caring, loving, and a well respected Professor. We went on 3 trips which were very significant and watch movies in class. She doesn't really give test but reaction papers 2-3 pgs. PLEASE TAKE HER!!! You would feel the luckiest person on earth.

Literally one of the best class Ive taken! She prioritize the experience within the correction system, by taking the students to maximum security prisons and foundations! I would take this class if you like doing different activities.

There isn't much to say about Prof. Raptis, take her class and you won't regret it.

She's very nice and responds to emails all the time. This class is not that chill though, you must pay attention because she does pick on people randomly to see if they're listening and there are quizzes every week that must be completed before the next class.

Nice professor, 1 group project as the midterm Fairly easy so choose a good group, weekly quizzes. Final is a paper. Make sure your paying attention she calls on your randomly.
