He has a great personality and makes learning about the Earth more interesting than ever thought was possible. The feild trips are grrreat, I havn't had a feild trip since the 5th grade!!!!

ALOHA...Hawaii was great with Prof Ohan...he taught us everything about the Hawaiians and even let us party...he saved us from falling into the volcano many times...we had resistance but he was able to provide assistance.... Beautiful

Mr. Ohan is the best professor I ever had at the College of Staten Island.

he's great.. he's willing to help you with anything you need help with! geo 105 was very easy! he's not tough with absecences either.

He is the best teacher I have ever had. He is like a stand up comedian when he is in front of the class. He is a very easy grader and it is enjoyble to be in his class

he is a really great professor..he gives so much extra credit that even if your not doing to0o well on the tests this E.C. will help you pass. Hes funny, and for a 9AM class you wont fall asleep.

I love this teacher! He makes the class very interesting and I manage to pay attention even though I have him at 8am. The class is a bit hard test-wise. He gives ALOT of chances to do extra credit and his homeworks aren't bad. The trips are fun. Definitely take this teacher!! You won't regret it!

great teacher, awesome sense of humor, tests are super easy but keeps things interesting and you can really learn from him. plus the trips are actually really fun, just bring a walkman for the long bus rides.

I had him for 100 and he was awesome. Took him again for 102. He is great. He gives hws(not bad), tests(not bad), do vocab, go on the trips and you should do fine. I recommend him to anyone. The class was very interesting. I enjoyed it a lot. Go on the trips.*-*

I wasn't that interested in taking this class but I need a science to garduate, so i took it. The class can get boring but Professor Ohan really tries to help his students. Sorry but there aren't a lot at C.S.I like him. He gives a lot of extra credit. Believe me if you do all that extra credit and come to class you deserve to pass.

Very easy class. He is willing to give you extra credit if you are not doing so well. He is easy to approach. His exams are all multiple choice. If you really want to impress him... participate.

Very nice man. Lots of opportunities for extra credit..but lots of menial, required work doing review questions from textbook. Very disorganized lecturer, somewhat hard to follow. Goes off on tangents occasionally. BUT, VERY into what he's doing, and it shows.

I would not take another Geology professor! If you can take Ohan, take him! His test are hard but he gives tons of extra credit! He also curves if most of the class didn't do well on an exam. His lectures are hard to follow and after a while I didn't even bother to take notes. Reading and doing the Home work helps.

The best science professor at CSI. He taught me a lot and made Geology very interesting and lead me into majoring in it.

Ohans test are hard. However he does give plenty of extra credit. The key terms in back of the chapters help a lot and you get extra credit if you type them up. The lecture does get boring he does give a lot of extra credit. Even if you don't like geology,If you do the extra credit you should be fine. I highly reccomend him.

this class was ridiculously easy, first off all there are assigned seats, but when the class is big no1 sits in the assigned seats so I never went. I went to the museum instead of a trip and filled out this easy handout that I found all the answers on the internet. For NEVER going to the class, not going on the trip, and not doing the HW i got a C.

I don't know about the class being easy.He gave plenty of extra credit but it wasn't easy.The extra credit wasn't simple. It took a lot of my time,the test were hard and you worked for the grade,his assistant also took attendance regularly. I saw her marking people as they left. Don't be fooled! She does count the seats. Ohan is a good professor.

Ohan is one of the best professors at C.S.I. He knows that evrybody doesn't want to be a Geo major. He gives a lot of extra credit. He does curve but you really do work for your A or B. He makes it clear that he will help you, but you gotta help yourself.The extra credit takes up a lot of time but it also helps you on your test. I liked the class.

hes humorous and tried to make the class interesting...he gives a lot of extra credit in which helps alot in your final grade even if u dont do too well on exams...his trips were fun and hes an overall full of life typa professor im so glad i took his course.

He is a great professor. He's a funny and interesting guy but sometimes the lectures were boring. He always boosted our grades with a curve and gave a lot of extra credit.

His lectures are a pleasure because his knows his subject and conveys his passion for it to his students.

Nice teacher... I thought I fail the class because I kind of fail the first test but in the second I had a better grade and did all the extra credit work and give me a good grade. For been in a SUMMER SESSION he was cool. I have no complains, I had a great time in my summer during his class.

He is a great prof. an easy A or B class but have to do his all HW's n the museum trips. Well if u miss couple of HW's then it's ok but definetly do the trips n u still will get a good grade=)Very nice prof. n class.

If you did all hw and extra credit, he only add 10 points to ur final grade which you get.(which he told me) Since he wont fail ppl, but you still do good on the test, cuz he court the test grade to the grade that u get. Att is not important, i always just go sleep in his class, its very comfortable sleep is 1P which is dark...lol

He is more than fair in grading. He gives out a great deal of extra credit which you should do and you will be good. His tests can be confusing but he is a really nice guy and knows what he is teaching.

This professor is great! Just for the entertainment value alone its a great course to take! He's a great guy who will up your letter grade with every piece of extra credit you do. The tests are hard but do all the extra credit and study and you'll get an A. Had him twice and got an A- and an A!

he is a very intelligent prof. who explained the material very detail n gives tons of extra credits. He told lots of his geo classes stories 2 us n makes the class laughing. tests are not that hard,but tons of hw 2 do. overall,I really enjoyed my summer class w/ him.

Amazing prof. He will never know your name, however he is really enthusiastic about what he teaches. He's very clear on what he expects from you, and most importantly he lectures! It's upto you to listen and gather the info you need. Very few prof. like him are left,so take advantage

hes a very nice sweet man, the class was on a saturday morning, people would only show up for attendance. most of the class had no idea what he was talking about most of the time. maked jokes every now and then, overall he was a great professor, gave a lot of extra credit so people could get their grades up. i would recommend this professor

I took his course in Hawaii AND had him for Physical Geo on Saturday mornings. For both, he was amazing! By far, my favorite teacher ever! The course in Hawaii was one I'll never forget. I strongly recommend anyone needing a science credit to take this class. He is a fair grader, an interesting person to listen to, and a very funny man.

The best geology professor hands down. Geology as a whole is a hard class to begin with, but he gives you every opportunity to boast your grade with easy extra credit assignments. If you do the home works and some extra credit assignments you will do well in his class. I highly recommend taking this Prof.

He hands out a sheet for attendance. All you have to do is circle your name. He doesn't notice if you aren't there. He gives extra credit for everything. He give's home work , but all the questions can be googled. Test's are hard.

It's been some years since I took his class, and his lessons are still fresh in my mind..yes he is that good!

He will put you to sleep with his leatures, but he is a great guy. loads of easy extra credit to boost your grade. just read the textbook and you will ace the tests. but he is awesome,take him while you cani, cant believe he will be around much longer.

Very nice guy, and very easy class. He passes you even though you do bad on tests. He gives you alot of extra credit, takes the class on trips. His computer was broken, so he talked and drew pictures on the board. Hw counts as extra credit. Jot down important thing he says and you will be fine

really thick accent so I had no idea what the guy was saying half the times but other than that, his notes are helpful and he tries his best to explain the material. The final was pretty hard but he lets you use your previous labs. Nice grader too, pretty sure he bumped up my grade by a letter.

His tests are hard but if you study and actually read the chapters you'll be fine. Anyway if you fail them, there's plenty of extra credits. The easiest ones are the two trips and the others are visiting museums. The hardest will be writing a paper. He's a really great professor, highly recommended!

I wish I wasn't lazy and went on the field trips, would have gotten an A. But I was lazy so I'll probably end up with a D. Idk how anyone thinks he has an accent..? Cannot repeat this enough GO ON THE TRIPS! GO ON THE TRIPS! GO ON THE TRIPS! If you do you will get an A.

If you show up and listen to the professor, he does give information that will make you pass his tests, however, he tends to go off topic at times. On blackboard there were notes on each chapter which were useful to study. The prof also encourages students to go trips and do small assignments for extra credit! Only buy textbook for extra credit.

Ohan was a wonderful professor! One of the best CSI had to offer. He was very caring and was doing everything in his ability for us to do well in the class. There were 2 trips and (if I recall correctly, students were encouraged to go on at least one. There were 3 exams and he gave extra credit assignments. Overall, he was great!
