Andre is a cool dude and likes to crack jokes during lectures. He cares about his students and is willing to help if you ask. He is excellent in front of the class and is one of the few math professors that can spell. I would highly recommend taking his class.

I had the privilege of being Andre's tutor for his Calc 1 class for his last semester at Sierra College. He's the most caring and kind professor you'll ever meet! He wants his students to succeed & reach out to him for help. My advice would be to take him if you have the chance, ask lots of questions, & see how good he is at speling for a math prof

I had not taken a legitimate math course in a long time and I had always struggled with math, always getting Bs or Cs. Andre outlined his expectations which left my path to getting an A transparent as long as I was willing to put in the work. The pace of his class was spot on, hard enough to push you but not intimidating to paralyze you.

Andre is the best math teacher I ever had. He is supper supportive and will help you succeed if you're willing to put in the effort. He is a supper funny guy and makes his lectures entertaining. Take him if you have the chance. He will really change your perspective about math. His way of explaining the hard concepts will make you have a great time

He is honestly one of the best math professors I've ever had in Los Rios. He explains everything thoroughly in his lectures and has many examples that are very similar to what will be on the tests. He has a great sense of humor which is a bonus. He really wants to see his students succeed and helps whenever he can. Go to his office hours!

Professor Bazos is the most caring and the best teacher I have ever taken within 5 years within the los rios district. Beyond great, he actually loves teaching and wants you to gets A's. He gives many ways to earn a A like a contract of extra credit with the opportunity to raise your grade an entire letter grade. He is clear in expectations.

Professor Bazos is an excellent teacher and I throughly enjoyed going to class everyday until the class shifted online due to the coronavirus. I enjoyed going to class early so he could go over our hw and answer any questions I had, however to no fault of his own I lost the motivation for this class. I almost dropped this class! This professor invests the time to help you and is very flexible. I almost dropped twice, he pays attention to whos struggling and offers so much help (even if you dont ask) I didn't get the hang of this class until later. Take the support class. Sometimes hard to follow, but a really caring and understanding person. Lots of work, but easy if you stay on top of it and he will provide a lot of support. I think I annoyed him, but he was still super kind and really puts his heart into getting struggling people to feel confident.

I took his class this semester and due to Corona our school moved fully online. At first I was scared taking class online but he made seem so easy and he is always there to help assist if we need any. He is a great to keep in touch with us making sure no one falls behind. I took an 8-week Stats course with Bazos. Math is my worst subject and if I kept up with the homework I would have gotten an A instead of a B. He was very responsive and even utilized other apps like Marco Polo to get back to you ASAP and help you understand the material. Utilizes Canvas to teach material.

If you're the "work smart, not hard" type, THIS IS YOUR GUY! Friendly, kind, generous grader, very interested in equity and encouragement. Bazos communicates well, adapts to the students struggles and keeps things SIMPLE. ANYONE complaining about this guy is absurd, truly. I don't even like math, and I got an A working maybe 2-3 hours a week, max.

Professor Bazos is a great teacher. This is my third time taking Stats and I highly recommend taking this class! I was skeptical at first to take this class but I was able to understand the material. If you don't understand the topic I highly recommend going to his office hours! He gives good feedback and provides lots of examples to help.

Easily the most friendly and coolest professor I've ever had. Caught covid at the end of the semester and he made it so that I could still take my final. If you're a shy person don't be afraid to message, he's super accommodating. If he taught summer 400 I'd take it!

This class was the best math class I have taken so far. The lectures made sense and were easy to follow. Tests were pretty easy and straightforward. The worksheets were also helpful as sometimes he would grab a question and make it similar to put on the written portion of the exam. 100% Would recommend taking Prof Dre.

I took Professor Bazos in the fall semester of 2021 and I have to say that he was amazing. If he was teaching Calc 2 in the spring I would have taken his class. If there is something that I like about him that makes him a good professor, it's that he is very patient, willing to do the best he can so you can pass, and is respectful to his students.

I took Trigonometry and Calculus with Professor Dre, and I loved both courses!

Among the best, if not the best math professor at SCC. He really cares and is respectful towards his students. Warns you about topics that are tricky and takes the time to help as best he can. Lectures, homework, and worksheets were directly related to the exams, and exams were fair. Would absolutely take him again!!

He's a great teacher and is very understanding. Attend his office hours if you need help (he's really nice and really wants to help students). Funny and kind; made Calculus seem easy. Tests weren't as bad as I was expecting.

Professor Dre is absolutely amazing, if you don't feel confident in Calculus he would provide you with resources, if you have a question he's always there to help. This class is more group work during lecture and individual work at home.

I made it to pre-algebra in high school, almost 30 years ago. I was terrified of statistics. Professor Dre is AWESOME!! He really cares about his students and has a real passion for teaching. He finds a way to make it interesting and is really good at keeping you engaged. I can't recommend this guy enough!!

Professor Dre is the best prof ever! I was nervous going into Calc I but Prof. Dre made everything straightforward. He makes you teach back some of the important topics which really helps with understanding & the time in class is used efficiently. Test are based on the hw so if you focus on the hw you will do well. Definitely take him if u can!

Overall he is a great professor and is willing to help you in you are struggling with a section, and you can go to his office during the hours. He also goes over questions in class and so doesn't be scared to ask questions on a problem that you don't understand because he will gladly go over it with you in style.

Flipped(?) classroom with online lectures. In-class was for worksheets and questions about material. He was available before class for more questions, and had a tutor that could help after class and on Zoom.

Excellent professor. He provided detailed online materials for review and further explanation in class. If you have a question, he always answers your question with a smile. It is not difficult to do well in exams if you finish your homework carefully. He adopted the mode of online +in person synchronous teaching, which is a great innovation.

Professor Dre is an amazing professor. He is really knowledgeable and teaches mathematics very well. The exams were a bit difficult but if you watch his lectures and do your homework on time then the exam will be easier.

His class was great, although TMV take some time to finished but it will make sure you fully understand the topic. If you finished all the homework and tmv , the test will be not that hard .

Prof. Dre is one of the best math professors you could take. I was nervous about Calc 1 at first but Prof. Dre teaches in a way that makes it easy to learn and also engaging. Prof. Dre was very helpful for Calc 1, He was able to keep the class engaged and almost no one dropped the class. He has a great attitude and and cares about the students. He allows extra credit and even retake on exams. He is also a good teacher and has good insights and tricks to help you learn certain topics.

The modules may seem overwhelming at first but if you are dedicated as is asked by you in the course description 72 Hours lecture144 hours of out-of-class work 216 student learning hours and participate you will pass this class. If you have any doubts about this class..DON'T!!! Professor Bazos is really understanding when it comes to being a college student and if I had the option I would take another one of his classes!! If you need a GE requirement this is the professor to go to. Not only is he invested in your success if you are but you walk away from this class with a appreciation for statistics. Take this class.

If you are worried about taking Stats as I was, take it with professor Dre. He was helpful every step of the way and ensured everyone was given every opportunity to succeed. If you are willing to put in the work I have no doubt you can pass. I barely got through math 3 in high school but with professor Dre I surprised myself with how well I did.

Prof. Dre is a great instructor! I disliked statistics before because it was hard for me to understand the material. However, the way that Prof. Dre set up this class made it easy to understand statistics. Take this course in person if you could because you'll get to know how nice and accessible he is. I always looked forward to going to his class.

I've never written my own rating on RMP but Prof Dre is definitely worth writing a rave review for :) His class has a flipped learning model, so as long as you think that can work for you, you should have no hesitation about taking his course! You might find that stats is a lot easier with the right professor, and professor Dre is certainly that!

Lectures are awesome, very clear when presenting the material were learning for the day. Helpful when needed to clearify a problem or question regarding the material.

I really liked how the class was set up to have us learn the material. I also liked how he is realistic and found online tools for us to use since we wouldn't be using the older methods to find the solutions all the time. It can be a lot of work, but if you work on it all throughout the week, you will be fine.

Professor Dre (Bazos) is a good professor and he cares for his students. I enjoy going to his office hours because he is willing to help students who are struggling in certain lessons or questions on the worksheet. I wish I could take him for Calc 2.

Professor Dre is a helpful, funny, and kind. His material was easy to understand, just do what is laid out for you on canvas and you'll succeed! We do "Teach Me Videos" weekly and those are for you to better understand the material which inevitably makes you understand the material!

Prof. Dre is a great teacher, especially if math is not your strong suit. He made statistics pretty easy especially because we use online programs rather than memorizing formulas. We only had exams throughout the semester and a fairly straightforward final project. He is easy to access if you're struggling.

This professor is really good at teaching Calculus online. It's not super difficult and if you like having classes online and don't mind making a lot of videos solving math problems, then this is a really good course. He is also very understanding when it comes to pushing back due dates.

Professor Dre is the best Stats teacher you can possibly take. I failed stats in high school and I really did not want to take this course because I feared failing again. Professor Dre make this course easy. Everything made sense and he will for sure work with you. He wants you to succeed. Meeting once a week and completing assignments online.

He is a very good person and professor Dre also work with you with lots of patients to guild you through the semester. If you need anything, go to his office hour for help! Professor Dre is the type of professor that cares about you and very understandable.

I took Prof. Dre this semester for MATH 400. I had him last semester and enjoyed his teaching style. I am not the biggest fan of group work but I have found his teaching style of making teach-me videos effective. This class was asynchronous but it still requires a good chunk of time and dedication if you want to really understand the material.

Brazos dedicates his time for you and he'll give you the best feedback (5-20minutes long) on your assignments. He encourages you to do your best.

Professor Dre, Will work with you if you are not grasping the subject and is willing to teach subject with easy.

I think this class should be your top choice for Stats because Professor Dre gives you as many advantages as possible to do well. Like cheat sheets on the exams and is really cool about deadlines. You have to be ready to put in the effort and it usually pays off, in my case that is true.

He's caring and understanding, offering chances to catch up and succeed. Attendance is vital, as you'll fall behind if absent. Expect many assignments, group work, and TMVs (Teach Me Videos) that require genuine understanding—no bluffing.

I had the privilege of taking Professor Dre's statistics course. I highly recommend any math classes he teaches. From day one he genuinely cared for his students' success and made the class enjoyable. His teaching style is engaging, well-organized and interactive. Stats is not n easy class but pro Dre makes the class bearable. He sets it up for you to pass. he allows one sheet of paper on exams which there is 4 durning the semester teach me videos once a week and a final project at end of semester. He helps you along the way willing to show you things multiple times if you need it.

Make sure to always turn in work, even though it's late. Always accepted late work. You'll be watching lots of videos. After every 8 minute video, there's a quiz. You only have 3 chance to make a full marks. He only takes your highest grades in the video quiz.

I am def gonna miss this class, I just want to cry because he is a awesome professor who really cares about his students. I am going to miss his class so much, he was so patient and caring! Just don't get him started on null & alt hypotheses because he wont stop lol (its fun to him). He is def the type of person that wants to see you win in life.

Great class. Statistics overall has SOOOOO much information. If you fall behind you'll likely suffer through the course. I enjoyed this class solely because of the professor(i hate math) However the final exam in cumulative and very dense. The final project was hard for me but overall it wasn't that bad. Would take again

Very good professor. The lessons were fun. He keeps good communication with students. If you submit an assignment late, he simply says “late,” but doesn't take off points. He is always very positive and kind to people. The only thing is that the class was very difficult for me the material itself. But overall, I learned a lot of new things

Took Calc 1 first, then stats. Accommodating, fair, and funny too. I enjoyed taking this class.

Took him for MATH 401, didn't see the option to select it so I chose MATH 400. Overall a great professor, attendance is recommended and if you put in the work you can definitely achieve the grade you want. Highly recommend and would take him again.

I hated Calc 2 so much until I took Professor Dre - he actually cares about the subject and teaches it in a way that makes sense. You will need to do online notes and homework which some people might not like but if you actually do your due diligence you'll be just fine.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Take him for the calculus series! He had students teach topics, which really helped me engage and understand the material. I used to hate math, and while I still don't love it, that hate is gone. I'm now at USC taking harder math, and his teaching gave me the foundation I needed to succeed. Truly one of the best!

He's really passionate about math and wants everyone to feel excited about it as well. He will make sure even the quiet students are participating and taking active roles in the classroom. His teaching style kept my attention, and he was always available when I needed help. He also shares opportunities around campus which I appreciated greatly.

Awesome professor with a great personality. He is also extremely open and available for additional help and understanding. The only criticism I have is that there are nearly 20 assignments due every Wednesday, which can easily get you behind quickly.
