Great prof will do anything to help his students. I hate math and he made the class bearable. Homework isn't mandatory. Class isn't really mandatory but tests and quizzes are not that easy so i would recommend not missing that many classes because you will fall behind. Im taking him again next sem! Very nice guy and not bad to look at! :)
Cool dude, looks like he should be the drummer for Metallica. Explains EVERYTHING so EVERYONE understands it. It gets tedious at times, but it's for the best. Quizzes and tests are very easy if you know what you're doing. Definitely recommend.
i love him he's very sweet goes above and beyond for students and explains everything very well.. he's also not a bad grader. the class can get hard but if u take good notes u can def pass w/o the book.if u need to take this class take him! o and for the ladies.. he's a hottie!
Great teacher. He makes everything crystal clear and is genuinely concerned that everybody understands. Very nice guy who made math bearable
Young teacher. Really nice, explains everything good, and is willing to help you if you miss a class. He often uses many ways to explain things, so that everyone would have a chance to get it. Also the quizzes can be taken at home, and he has chapter based exams not many at once, the same with the quizzes.
Very nice guy. Will answer any questions asked. Just take notes and go to class for an easy A.
Such a nice guy. Extremely clear. He makes sure that everyone understands what he's talking about before he continues. I hate math and this was one of my favorite classes at west chester. Has GREAT hair
Andre was great. I despise math with every fiber of my being but with him, I managed to get an A. Quizzes are online at home and he does a review before every test. Great professor and makes sure everyone understands. I definitely recommend him; you're lucky to have him!
This is the third time ive taken MAT 107. I had Dr. Wolfson last semester and had to drop. Andre from the start was an awesome professor. He teaches more like a highschool teacher in the fact that he spells everything out so you have no questions. Very helpful, wish i could take him for calc.
Best math teacher at wcu!! I previously took this class with shiv gupta who is the worst teacher ever and failed. With Perkoski i got 100 on every test he is soo easy and helpful and one of the only math teachers at wcu that makes sense and can speak english. totally laid back attendance not mandatory but recommended.
Super freaking hot and equally as helpful. Makes sure everyone understands the lessons. Very sweet and cute. I recommend him.
Great teacher. I am absolutely terrible at math, yet did very well thanks to Dr. Perkoski. He makes sure that everybody understands the concepts clearly, instead of rushing through the material like other professors in the math department.
Literally the easiest math class I have ever taken. He makes sure every single person completely understands before moving on. All the quizzes and half of the tests are online with multiple attempts. I have never had to open the textbook either. Take him if you need an easy math class.
He is such a great teacher. Very helpful and he always makes sure that the students get the information before moving on! Easy class, def take him!
He's the BEST TEACHER IN THE MATH DEPT! He's incredibly nice, he helped me through everything, even after I stopped taking his class he still offers to help his old students. He's very nice and makes math a little less horrible. By far my favorite professor on campus. Take him if you can, he's also an easy grader and very understanding.
The most helpful and enthusiastic teacher I have ever had. He actually somehow makes math class fun to be in. He explains things in the simplest way and will make sure you understand. He also cares about you as a person and if you succeed. As a bonus, he's funny.
I normally hate math, and he made me genuinely enjoy going to his class. He has a way of making everything seem easier than you thought and he has a lot of patience. He's really laid back and actually hilarious. Very fair with grading and assignments and offered a lot of help. One of my favorites.
I really struggle with math, but his lectures made everything more simple. He also encouraged people to ask questions if they were unsure of the material. He also went over examples with the class after we have had some time to work on them. There's lots of homework, but it's a bunch of small assignments every week. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK.
Amazing prof. He was extremely helpful, made things very clear, did many examples with you, and created a comfortable environment. Don't buy the textbook, you wont need it. I definitely recommend, you won't regret it.
Comes off as an easy going professor. Willing to help, but is not understanding of students who are not strong suited in math. Makes an intro class very confusing. If you don't do well in the tests, he doesn't give ANY slack. So be prepared. Quizzes are few, so they are not very valuable in passing. Final was made of nothing we went over in class.
I absolutely loved Andre. He was by far my favorite professor at WCU. He really wants you to succeed and will answer any question you have. He will make sure everyone understands. I got really sick and wasn't able to go to class for a week he worked with me to catch up.
Perkoski made getting up for an 8 am a little easier. He is a great prof who is passionate about teaching. He has a sarcastic witty humor that makes math more tolerable. He is very understanding and is more than willing to help anyone who needs it. I recommend him 100%
He looks like Tarzan and a really nice professor. I would take again. Take him because there are not many good math teachers at west chester. Always willing to help students and be there if you need help. Dumbs it down so you understand. "Hello Class meet one half"
Homework isn't due until the end of the semester and he breaks topics down in a way that helps you understand.
I really loved having Andre as a professor. He lectures almost the entire class every day so it is really important to go to class because we get through a ton of material every day. He doesn't move on until everyone understands the material. All homework throughout the semester isn't due until the day of the final. 2 tests 100% would recommend.
Andre was the best teacher i could have asked for to start my first semester of college, he is so helpful and kind. I loved stat because of him! he wants all of his students to succeed
Andre is the best math teacher i have ever had. He consistently asks for questions and will go over something a hundred times if needed. You get homework(my math lab) after every class but it is not hard at all. He gives 3 tests and a final exam. Super nice and great teacher.
Andre is a great professor to have. His usual saying is "any questions" he goes back when someone doesnt understand the material all quizzes are online just pay attention and work hard.
best math professor ever, never thought i would say this but i wish i had more math requirement classes just so i could have him as a prof again, great guy, cool hair, super helpful and caring
Andre is a fantastic teacher. He takes the time to explain the material to ensure that all of his students feel comfortable and prepared. In addition, he answers any questions you may have, so do not be shy. He is probably one of the best math teachers that this university has to offer, so if you have him, consider yourself one of the lucky ones!
Andre is a great professor. Im not strong with math but he makes sure everyone understands the concept before moving on. He is hilarious and really cool. Attendance and homework weren't mandatory, but if you didnt show up, you'd probably fall behind. He lectures for the entire class but you get a lot out of it. No homework grades at all.
Andre is seriously one of the greatest professors at west Chester. I'm bad at math and he made it completely understandable for me. I did well on almost every test and I didn't think that was possible for me. He's hilarious and a cutie for the ladies.
Andre is the man, other friends had math 103 with a different professor and thought it was extremely hard. He only teachers you what will be on the final, nothing unnecessary, and explains things much clearer than the other 103 professors.
This guy is awesome!! I hated Math and saved taking my Math requirement for Senior year. If you are someone who is not skilled in Math, Andre is a great teacher. He cares about his students and wants to see them succeed in the class. I recommend not skipping a class because it is impossible to teach these concepts to yourself.
Dr. Perkoski is a great teacher of a terribly easy subject that was basically a waste of time overall. He's a really cool dude and teaches everything very well, and the class is so easy I just sat on my laptop and half paid attention and got a high A, but somehow I participated the most because my classmates were dumb. Great teacher, stupid class.
Andre is an awesome guy! He always wants to help students and gives extra credit on tests, always available for help and very understanding. His homework is to help you, he doesn't grade it (I never did it.) So only get the textbook if you think you need the extra help. Personally, I only went to class on test days, because I knew the material
this class was boring at times, but thats only if you hate math. He really takes the time to explain every topic and his teaching style is one of the best i have had. it may seem repetitive but you will really learn. 2 attempts on online quizzes. optional homework. tests are easy if you study. is always available for help. overall highly recommend
I took him for MAT 113, College Alg, which was his first time teaching the class. I think this showed during the semester. He did not handle his time well and often rushed material to squeeze a test in. He was not a bad professor and knows what he's talking about but wasn't always the most organized. His final was much harder than expected.
For math 113 he is HARD . For example, on a test you think the test is on one thing but it's on another thing he does not cave any test grade, and no calculators on the test he only give you one try on the quizzes that means if you fail one quiz that can lower a letter grade. He have good office hours but he is HARD for MATH 113
He's probably one of the best professors i've had at wcu. he's a great professor and he's funny too. he doesn't take attendance often. also don't buy the book unless you plan to do the homework.. (he doesn't ever look at it). He also gives you reviews that are just like the test. He's awesome. If you struggle in math for sure take him.
Tarzan! He looks like tarzan but Andre is the best professor I've had here at WCU. He's so funny and he knows how to teach! The only bad thing is his class grades consist of quizzes every week and an exams. He tries to fit at least 5 exams in. Overall, he's amazing and I would take him again for sure.
Easily the best professor I've had at WCU. He really cares about making sure all his students understand the material and he goes out of his way to explain everything in different ways and explain why he is teaching you it. Also very funny and easy to talk to. Would totally take him again.
such a nice friendly guy, will go back over questions from chapters ago if you ask him to, the tests are very very straight forward and he really just wants you to do well.
Andre is the best! His lectures are straight forward, he always does examples on the board and will continue to do examples until mostly everyone understands the concept. Quizzes are very straight forward, tests are relatively easy, and he gives a lot of time to turn in homework. Would absolutely take one of his classes again
He is a very good teacher. This class was boring, but he always made sure everyone understood and he took time to explain concepts. Quizzes, tests, and homeworks are easy.
Hes a very relax and nice guy! Hes straight to the point with his work and is very helpful if needed! Definitely the best math professor at West Chester and I would highly recommend taking his class
(FOR MAT101) best math teacher I have ever had. Super clear and straightforward in his teaching, always makes sure the entire class understands the content. You have to attend for the notes or you will not do well. Tests are moderately difficult but passable with effort and studying. I wish I had him for every math class. Would highly recommend.
I have taken Andre twice now for separate classes (MAT 121 and MAT 113) and did well in both. He is awesome! Take him! He is straight forward with his notes and provides good examples. He is hilarious and extremely accommodating and caring. I wish I could take him again!! Plus his long hair is pretty cool.
Andre's really laid back. However, his class is set up in a weird way. Literally ALL he does is lecture, like you sit down and take notes for an hour straight. The quizzes are super hard because they're online and the program accepts answers way differently than the way we're taught in class. I wish he gave more opportunities for points.
Andre was my favorite professor, I took him for MAT101 and 102. He really explains concepts and also explains how it is relevant to teaching and how it is helping us. He will go over concepts until you understand, and always answers questions. The online quizzes are the hardest part but the tests are straightforward and have study guides
He was really laid back, funny, and a cool guy HOWEVER all his quizzes are online which makes things complicated while youre trying to type in your answers. He also gives question on quizzes that he has not yet taught in class and expects us to get As. I feel unprepared going into every quiz and pray for Cs.
Absolutely amazing prof. Explains every topic very clearly and in great detail, and also gives many examples so you know how to do it on your own. Very comfortable atmosphere in his class, and treats all questions asked with importance and answers them clearly. If you are planning on taking MAT113, make Andre your top priority to get.
such a great guy. I took him for Mat101, and am taking him again for Mat102
Andre creates an environment where students feel engaged and comfortable. Even if math isn't your thing, he will help everyone succeed. He is absolutely hilarious!
Very nice professor that cares about his students success. Tests are exactly what was on study guide, so study and fill that out. Weekly online quizzes can be challenging but they are based off classwork and you have 2 tries on them. Online homework can be a lot, but if you keep up with it you will be fine. The homework is due at end of semester.
Andre explains everything well, however, he goes into too much detail and often makes me feel as though he is talking down to me and treating the class like he is actually teaching an elementary school class. His quizzes are easy enough, and his tests are easy enough as long as you do the homework when it is relevant to the class.
He is great! He explains concepts in depth and gives a great review before exams. If you fill out the review before the test, you will pass. Attendance is not mandatory.
Andre is a great professor who wants nothing but the best for you! He is so funny and relatable. The lectures often felt long, but he is very in-depth which is better down the line. He offers extra credit on every test, and gives you the whole semester to do the homework. He's great!
I loved this prof! He was funny and always made class interesting. He is lecture heavy, but is constantly writing on the board and explains more in-depth when questions are asked. Homework is assigned at the beginning of the semester and not due until finals week, so you can take your time. Tests aren't bad and study guides are given!
Dr. Perkoski is absolutely amazing and is available outside of class and willing to help. Math is not my strongest subject but he always takes time to elaborate if you ask.
I loved Andre!! By far the best math teacher I have ever had!! I wish I could take him again next semester but his class filled up too fast! Really funny and always there to help!
I LOVED Andre. I seriously wish he was my math teacher for every course. He does such a good job at explaining everything and is super personable. Everyone raves about him.
Hilarious teacher. He completely understands that most people are business majors and not math majors so he really tries his best to teach and grade on more business-specific problems. That being said, brief calculus is still difficult and if you want the best grade I suggest putting time in outside of class. He is always willing to help!
Really funny and over all a good teacher, he showed me a lot of useful tips to succeed in math and I would definitely recommend
really nice professor, he understands math isn't for everyone so he did try to make it easier for everyone to pass. homework and quizzes are online with unlimited attempts and only 4 in person tests. as long as you put in the work to complete the assignments and study you should do good
Professor Perkoski made business calc easy. Take him if math isn't your subject! He is super helpful in lectures and goes through every step to help you understand the material. It can be slow at times if you are already familiar, but it's better for it to be slower lectures and understand it than faster lectures and not comprehend any of it.
Andre is by far the most down to earth teacher I've ever had. He can be really all over the place which can often lead to confusion, but he always clears things up. If you suck at math, definitely take his class! He spends time answering questions like no other.
Great professor. All hw is online and due in December. Get multiple attempts. I would definitely recommend
While I never had any issues with this professor his class quickly became one of the most difficult for me to take for this semester. the workload was incredibly easy, however, this professor would drag each topic out far longer than anyone needed him to. He could manage to make 1+1 take an hour and a half to solve and still not tell you the answer
He was honestly such a good professor for my first semester of math. He usually took attendance once a week. He goes until the end of the period always, but it is pretty easy math. He wants his students to be active participants, too. He is so chill and I would recommend him for anyone.
This man has my heart. He genuinely cares about his students and will go over any questions you have until you understand them. All homework and quizzes have multiple attempts and have long deadlines. His exams are very similar to the study guide so there are no surprises. If you suck at math take his class!
Andre is a very funny and nice guy. This class itself is basically elementary school math. It's very easy, but Andre teachers the content as if you have never learned it before. He is very thorough in teaching and goes over everything in detail. The class can be boring at times, but Andre makes it fun with his funny and outgoing personality.
Hilarious, personable, understanding but will not make allowances unless you ask beforehand which I can respect. Explains concepts thoroughly and you'll get an A as long as you go to class, do all of the quizzes, and prepare for the exams (I did not prepare for the final exam and missed a quiz, still ended with a good grade)
Honestly too easy, if you don't understand the material he goes over everything in great detail, but sometimes too much detail were the lectures go slow, but great class to take, online quizzes every week and about 3 exams in person, optional homework
Andre is super cool. He goes kinda slow in lectures but that helps students who are struggling more to understand. Everything in this course is doable. He stated at the beginning that "this course is for students who hate math." It felt barely like math. Easy grader and super understanding. We love Andre
He's a cool teacher and very easy going, but doesn't teach very well. All he does is show us how to complete problems, but doesn't teach.
Loved this class. Professor Andre teaches in such a way that is so easy to understand and follow. He is hilarious, fair, and wants us to do well. I learned a lot in this course. I 100% would take him again, take him if you are worried about math, he is a great professor!
He is such a great professor. I am terrible at math but he really made it feel accessible to me and actually made a lot of difficult concepts make sense. He is super laid back and really funny and approachable. Highly recommend especially if math is not your forte.
Andre is a great teacher who is very nice you should never be afraid to ask questions with him. MAT 104 is a very easy course however if you have a problem paying attention or staying still this class may not be for you. He makes jokes and teaches VERY slow and it tends to get boring quick.
Take his class!! Perkoski was great. Minimal homework and he gives months to complete it. He was incredibly knowledgeable and encouraged class participation, never forced it however. I have always struggled with math, so I enjoyed his lectures as he doesnt speed through them. I have plenty of time to take notes and listen in.
this was my second time taking this specific course because I failed the first time. Andre did an amazing job, aside from the class hes a super chill dude, very comfortable to be around. he explains things very well and thoroughly. there was a quiz every week/every other week that was light work. 3 main tests and a final exam. amazing proffesor
This was a really good math professor. there are 3 tests and a final and some quizzes. He is ready to explain the concept to you from start to finish. He knows that everyone doesn't know everything so he pretty much explains everything really well. TAKE HIM, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
oftentimes taught the easy material slower and difficult parts too fast. he's super casual, especially when it comes to class and grading, but can sometimes go on tangents and take up class time.
Andre is a Top 3 professor I've had here at WCU. He takes his time going through the material and makes sure everyone has a clear understanding of what's going on. He's super easy to talk to and he enjoys what he's teaching, and it shows in the lectures. Take his class.
Andre is a great professor with humor, but the weight of the tests compared to homework, quizzes, etc. was unfair. If you bomb one test, you are desperately trying to make up for it all semester because quizzes and homework are worth basically nothing compared to tests. Show up to every class ready to constantly learn up until the end every time!
Andre (let's us call by his first name) is very funny and sweet (although he does use the same jokes multiple times.) The class was beyond easy as someone who enjoys math. Personally I think the class was too slow but for people who are not the best at math TAKE HIS CLASS! He goes in detail about everything many times. Never stressed about it once.
He is an amazing math teacher! I have always struggled with math and cleared up so many concepts that I had struggled with. He does go very slow but I think that's the best part! He makes sure everyone understands. He is very chill and easy to talk to if you're struggling or need help.
I had him for MAT100 but there was no option to select that class. It is a 2 hour class making it difficult to stay engaged, many people go on their phones. However, he spends a lot of time explaining things and making sure you understand. The class gets more difficult it starts off with basic addition and then ends with multiplication etc
I had Professor Perkoski for MAT100. I had his class for two hours, and although it was hard to stay engaged throughout his lessons and many students go on their phones, he makes sure multiple times during class that everyone understands. I am not the best at math, but Andre made sure he gave every student equal opportunity.
