I don't agree with other comments listed. I have take 2 of Professor Pope's classes and gotten an A in both of them. I think he has a lot of useful real world information to give and I've learned a lot from him. His classes are fun and relaxed.

Professor Pope is a wonderful teacher. His assignments are straight forward and easy to understand. Plus his exam was my favorite, peanut butter and jelly is AWESOME!!

Mr.Pope is a good teacher. There are only three teachers in this department and its nice to get another perspective.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my last 2 semesters with Prof. Pope. He has been one of my favorite professors. I've learned a lot about Typography, Advertising Design and Illustration from him.

Very informative. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge about graphic design. Pope is willing to share that knowledge. His expectations are very high. Be prepared to work hard and have fun. Class is always interesting....sometimes comical.

He told the whole class that i used up his class time to look for online dates, which for the record, is NOT true... but other than that he was one of my fav professors at HGTC and he made the class well worth taking.

Professor Pope has been extremely helpful to me. When asked for his input he is informs you what suggestions you should make and go from there. He is straight forward and tells you how the Graphic Design industry is.

Pope pushes you beyond your limit with your work and creativity... also prepare to laugh, get fussed at and listen to various songs lol

I learned a lot in this class, because he used real world examples and basically gave us the materials he just tried to be a good teacher. He was tough, but really good.

The classes that he teaches are awesome. He currently works in the graphic design field and is very knowledgable. He is very willing to help any student with their design work.

Very helpful when it comes to answering questions about presentation, the flow of our concept, giving suggestions or ideas that will help us out do ourselves. He teaches with a force that will literally stick in your mind. The knowledge he passes on will be and is extremely helpful. Professor Pope does an outstanding job in teaching!!

MR. POPE IS A GREAT, CHALLENGING PROFESSOR. HIS CLASSES ARE NOT EASY AND YOU REALLY HAVE TO WORK HARD TO PASS, WHICH IS REWARDING FOR YOU IN THE LONG RUN.

Pope has useful advice and a great deal of knowledge about trends but if he doesn't like your work or thinks you didn't put effort into it he will straight up tell you. Very hard to please but you get a real sense of accomplishment when your design is good. Pope pushes your design capabilities and isn't afraid to tell you your stuff sucks.

First semester in Mr. Pope's class definitely opened my eyes to the real world situations. I really enjoyed the class and I learned a lot. I could see a definite improvement in myself, my knowledge and designs. He was one of my favorite professors at Tech.

If your looking for a professor to hold you hand and tell you exactly what to do then you might want to think about changing schools. Pope knows his stuff and you can learn a lot from him but its not an easy A.

Mr. Pope offers a very different but refreshing view on technology, art, and graphic design. I would recommend for anyone to take his class.

Mr. Pope's projects are always so interesting, and they are structured to teach you new things, but not in a traditional way. You just end up learning so much in his classes without realizing it.

I really love the hands-on experience, I totally recommend this class to anyone who wants to be in design. Even though I wanted to practice animation in this class, I still was able to obtain a lot from Professor Pope.

Andre Pope is a fine professor with giving instructions on projects and works that are clear sometimes. The work that are given are easy and presents examples after the class has read a chapter of the book. His style on how each teaches is good when showing everyone what we can learn in design class and greeting everyone when class started.

Professor Pope is one of the best professors I have ever had. He is very helpful and knowledgable. He gives you real life examples, shares his experiences in the graphic design business, and doesn't teach out of a book.
