About as good of a teacher you'll find at Ventura College for stats. Goes through procedures step by step and answers any questions.

She's great- never did the homework, just studies the practice tests

If you're good at math, take the INTERNET course. If you suck at math, you've found your teacher. I like to describe her teaching style as this: if you ask her what time it is, she tells you how to build a clock. Class is painfully boring. 2hrs/2 dys/week

I thought I could get good grades in math. Now I do. Andrea is a great teacher. It's not her fault that the subject itself is extremely boring and that the minutes in this class seem like hours.

Probably the bet math teacher i have ever had. She sets the class up for you to succeed. Extremely fair, nice, and helpful. Stats are not fun but she makes them understandable.

She is a great teacher who explains concepts very clearly...great flexibility as far as giving exams and will work with a student as far as scheduling issues and other unforeseen problems. Basically, she is a breath of fresh air in the smoggy, dense mathematical environment.

Great & easy teacher, explains everything at all levels, allows anyone to sit in on her lectures, wants everyone to learn, funny and personable, understanding and lenient.

I have always struggled with Math. Adlman is the only teacher that has made me understand it. I dont know how she does it!,she explains everything clearly, and is very understanding!

Fabulous! Funny, kind, very good teacher. Makes it as painless as possible. Gives 4 tests (drop 1) + final. No homework. Tests are almost exactly like her practice tests. Arrange your schedule around her classes if you need Stats.

She's one of the best Math teachers I've ever had. She explains things very cleary and provides excellent notes. She offers a lot of help after class and you get to earn extra points for making up test corrections. She also drops your lowest test score. TAKE HER!!!

Mrs. Adlman is the best teacher ive ever had. After failing algebra twice i went into stat. with pressure and tension in my head. The extent of help i got was beyond anything i have gotten from any other teacher in my life. She even came over a few times to help. I only needed an 81 on the final for an A and I nailed an 86 with ease. Take her class

Very lax, no statistics class is easy but she gives so many makeups and incentives its probably the easiest stats class you can take. She does over-explain some stuff, I still reccommend a tutor because her lectures are not always clear. But she really makes the extra effort like no other teacher I've had.

excellent teacher. explains things clearly and to the point. allows extra credit. hw not graded but do it to do well on the exams otherwise, you'll make the class hard for yourself. attendance not mandatory but you will not do as well if you attend everyday if possible. go to class and do hw. gives studyguide and review session.

She is an excellent teacher. Sometimes moves a little slow, but is very nice and very helpful. Wants all her students to do well and gives excellent reviews before the test. If you have to take stats take adlman... shes the best.

Andrea turned my math scores from C's in HS to A's in Algebra, Algebra III and Statistics. She explains in logical and simple terms and helps you get a good grade. She truly cares that you succeed and understand.

Andrea Aadlman's class was a breeze. To be quite frank, I haven't had a class where the teacher gave out a practice test (with the answers in the back) that resembled the real test. The only difference between the two tests is the fact that she changes the numbers. I recommend the class, although I hear that she's thinking about projects next sem.

Her class fills up during the first week of registration, and for good reason. But don't despair! If you take her on-line class you can sit in on the lecture if you need to. Let's be honest, if you're "ungifted" in math (like me), it will take a little effort to do really well, but she will go out of her way to help you (hence the many fans).

She made me not hate math anymore, considering the traumatizing experience I had with it in high school. Thanks Prof. Adlman!

She makes statistic a fun class. She is more than fair. Lets you do test corrections, computer problems help your grade. Her practice tests really help with the actual test. She throws out one test.

A very fun, EZ teacher. Explains throughly of her material. Gives practice exam thats almost similar to real exam, lets test correction, and gives computer problem.

Awsome teacher she is very helpful and if u dont like math dont fear its an easy class and the teacher gives out all the notes the study guides are the exact same thing as the test but diffrent numbers highly recommend this teacher!

Great professor, and makes sure everyone can pass the class. I got a B and never cracked the book, only looked at her own test reviews. I got a B, but if my work/school balance wasn't overloaded at the time, I would've for sure got an A. I recommend her to everyone.

Professor Adlman is one of the best professors that I've had at VC. She actually CARES about you and will work with you so that you pass her class. She's very animated, funny, and helpful. Scatterbrained in a good way. GREAT PROFESSOR. DEFINITELY TAKE HER. You won't regret it =)

Andrea is the BEST TEACHER IN THE WORLD!!!!! Whoever talks about her in a bad way had not interest whatsoever in passing the class. Andrea is a very good person too. She tries everything she can from homework help after class to study sessions on Saturday.If someone makes me puke is a person who offends her!! Heidi the math tutor is the best too.

There are always one or two professors who make a difference in you college experience. Prof. Adlman is that professor for me. She changed my life!!! Or atleast my attitude towards math. I am so grateful to have had her.

Very Good teacher, very helpful and her door is always open. online quizes are a lil tricky but there opt. grades on 2 tests (mid/final) VERY EASY, helps a lot, gives practice mid/final and the test are the same problems just diff. numbers, all in all, great class, almost painless. adlman is the one of the only teachers ive had who actually cares about how you do. she wants you to succeed and she will do anything possible to get you to pass. she sometimes rambles, but in a funny quirky way. love her

Very helpful, very clear, attendance isnt mandatory which is great. If you don't have any interest in Stats come only for the reviews still get an A. But if you do, come to her class it's not boring. I recommended this class, she is great.

Statistics fall 08- Adlman is boring, doesn't take attendance, gives homework that's never due & makes you buy a $60 accesscode for the web portion on top of giving a midterm & final to determine your overall grade. Expect to learn A LOT on your own.

One word can describe her stat class "easy",everybody know she is quite boring,but her class is super easy no doubt.Midtm and final are what count for you grade,those two exams were super easy because she gave out practice midtm and final for review,and then the real exams were just changed the #,very similar,even a blind person can earned an A.

Practice exams only help you. They tell you what exactly you need to know. Excellent way of learning! Stats is not an easy subject, but this class is fun because you actually learn what you need to know!

Took Stats online. Needed a tutor but it REALLY helped. She hands out a review sheet before the midterm and final and it is the exact test. Do good on the midterm and online tests and you will do fine. I got an A on the midterm,A's on the online tests and a C on the final and ended with a B. She tried hard to help as much as she can with your grade

Really wants her students to succeed. DO THE CORRECTIONS ON THE MIDTERM! Those last few points might make the difference between passing or failing!

Professor Adlman is a great teacher! She really wants her students to succeed and will help you anytime you may need it!!! She has a lot of study seesions and review sessions!! I took her online and she is a wonderful professor the program used for her math class is awesome it gives step by step examples and it will give you a problem 100's if you need it so you can understand. If you do the work you will pass her class. She is absolutely AWESOME. She does not collect homework but does assign it for your benefit (practice, practice, practice) She has study sessions. If you do the work she makes it easy to understand and pass.

TOTALLY AWESOME teacher. If you go to class and practice doing the HW that is not collected you will pass this class. You get a chance to do corrections on the computer midterm and the midterm.She makes the class very clear and concise. The Best math teacher ever. She gives a midterm and a Final.

I was scared to take STATs because I thought it was a hard class. She's makes it easy. Print out lectures and follow along. Do your homework although not required. She has tons of study sessions before midterm and final. Take care you won't be sorry.

Took stats with her in summer online. Never had a more helpful caring teacher, she gives you every opportunity to get an A! So helpful, a little neurotic but who isn't these days? The easiest math professor at vc! Took stats with a different professor and got a D. Then the next semester i took it with her and got an A. She really dumbs it down for the students so they can understand better and actually learn the material. I learned a lot on her class and would definitely recommend her!

Mrs. Adlman was such an easy teacher! I hate math and was not looking forward to taking statistics and I passed her class with an A. The homework isn't mandatory and your entire grade is based on your midterm and final. The practice tests are identical to the tests. Great teacher, she really cares about her students.

Fantastic teacher. She really wants her students to pass this class, and gives every opportunity to each student to achieve this goal. I was impressed by her availability to students and helpful attitude. It's only the individual student's fault if they don't pass.

She makes her class practically fail-proof. Anyone who fails this class must be in a comma. I have routinely failed math classes since I was in grade school, my brain shuts down when I see 2 numbers together. I took her online class in the summer and passed it with flying colors. Just concentrate on the midterm and final. Fail-proof people!

Mrs. Adleman is amazing. Not only is she a great instructor, she makes the class easier than other statistics professors. If you do all the homework (optional) you will ace this class. Do the homework and just practice the midterm and final. Forget the quizzes; they are a lot harder because they are from the publisher. Stats is hard regardless.

Andrea is the best math teacher I have ever had! She is only there to help you get it! I have never seen a teacher so eager to make her students understand the material, she uses so many tools to help you pass the class. Just study your practice midterms and finals! Homework is optional but if you struggle with math, DO IT!

Honestly, she is incredibly easy. This is actually to a fault if you really want to learn statistics for more than a class. She tests you on knowing formulas and steps rather than a deeper understanding of concepts. This is okay in some classes, but with the amount of critical thinking required for stats, her methods teach you little.

She made the material easy to learn by repetition and doing problems in class. She gives out the practice midterm and final, which is identical to the actual tests. She can cover subject matter really fast, but just ask questions. I did the online quizzes, and I think it helped me understand the material better.

Amazing teacher! She moves slow enough for everyone to understand the material and is more than happy to answer questions and give extra help. She gives practice midterm and final so there are no surprises when the actual exams are given. Attendance is not mandatory but I highly recommended. Do practice midterm/final at least 4X and you will pass!

This professor is one in a million. She takes the time to go over the materials with you if you need help. This was my worst subject area ever, and i had failed Stats once before. I took this class with Mrs. Adlman and I passed it with a "B" unbelievable. I never knew I would understand the material, but she makes it very clear. Take her classes.

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this class to anyone who struggles with math. She is very helpful, good math layout/strategies and nice. I took her STATS class in the summer and passed it with a "B". No homework and only two quizes. She also provides you with a practice midterm and final so you know exactly what to study and not have any surprises.

GREAT! I am not the best at any math, but I walked out of this class learning a lot. She dumbs the material down for her students to make it a lot easier to understand. Stats is a hard subject in general, but she really clears it up. Takes a lot of time out of her life to tend to her students. EC quizzes, midterm, final, and hw not worth points.

The Best. She's super fun and is willing to help, even on weekends. I wished I had her for all my Math classes.

Her classes are structured. Great lectures, goes over homework questions, gives lots of examples. Shows interest in students and goes the extra mile. Such a great teacher! Homework is all optional . Quizzes are also optional , they are to help your grade. She literally hands you a copy of the midterm and final ; weeks ahead of time! She also hands you back your test so you can fix the problems that are wrong. Great teacher ! Highly recommend !

I almost just want to say "wow" and then stop there. Teacher offers her own video lectures to supplement the textbook material, and her videos are EVERYTHING if you want to ace those exams. I have also never had a treacher give so much helpful study aid material. Offers lots of study sessions. Goes way above and beyond. Unreal in a very cool way.

She is an awesome teacher her class is very easy she gives a midterm and final that's all quizzes and homework are optional no book necessary. I didn't take the class as serious as I should have but its very easy to pass. if you study hard for the midterm you wont have to get a high school on the final to pass!

Andrea is possibly the nicest woman I have met in my life. I had failed algebra three times. She suggested I take statistics with her, promising me a passing grade if I did the work. I expected to fail the tests as I did in the past with algebra. With her help, I got an A in her class. She encouraged me, & I did excellent. She even helped privately

I had her class for two hours so her lectures felt long but she will let you out early most of the times:) She is very helpful in every way she could! she would stay after class to help each student on anything they have questions about. Andrea is an Amazing teacher, she genuinely cares, her summer class is not as easy as it seems, but she helps a lot and makes material comprehensive. Very cool teacher, focuses on the important things!

She goes above and beyond. I took the stats class online. She holds Saturday class and reviews what you need to pass the midterm and final. The test on mymathlab are optional, but count towards extra credit if the grades are better that you final. She also puts her midterm and final review videos online.

Prof Adlman is awesome. She gets that you are not taking her class to become a stats major and therefor does not expect you to know all the material that ever existed. She gives you the basics that you will need to know to move onto other classes and she is a very fair teacher. She wants you to pass and is caring and interested in her students.

She was really nice loved her and stats isn't my thing so she made it ok. The final is harder then the midterm.

I have never had a teacher who cares so much about you. She goes above and beyond to help you pass the class and if you fail her class you have no one to blame but yourself. She gives you midterm and final reviews and saturday review sessions. Also the saturday before the final she has a 4 hour review class. She is a dedicated teacher. Amazing.

Professor Adlman is an amazing math teacher. She does notes every class and she explains everything really well. If you have a question, don't hesitate to ask her. Homework is assigned but she doesn't collect it for a grade. She also hands out practice exams before each of the exams. I had Adlman for Stats and I wish she taught other math classes!

Best female math professor @ VC PROS: held multiple on-site review sessions 4 both exams in which she stayed as long as it took (once 6-11pm!) for us to understand the material, exams almost exactly like the reviews, hilarious, & cares! NO CONS but ADVICE: study reviews w/ Tegrity lectures, use hw problems to practice further, go to review sessions

I took this professor for online statistics, on a 6-week course. I only saw her three times in person, at the orientation, midterm, and final-- the midterm and final are the only grade items for that class. She was nice when we met, and she cares about how you're doing. The class was self-taught, though she does post notes online. Study and work.

Let me start off by saying that I have ALWAYS struggled with math my entire life, BUT this class was beyond easy. I actually enjoyed going to her Elementary Stats. class. She lectures at a great pace, answers any questions, is willing to help outside of class, NO HOMEWORK. Gives study guides that are the same as tests, but different numbers.

I previously took statistics and failed, professor Adlman made statistics bearabel and really made the effort to make sure everyone understood the lecture. Acessible after class. Her grading system is clear cut. She lets you do corrections on the first two midterms including the computer questions. Exceptionally caring math professor.

I can say a lot about this professor but the short version is that this is the easiest stats teacher there could ever be she prepares you a lot for the test. 2 midterms and a final best math teacher there could every be!. I'm not very good at math, but somehow Mrs. Adlman managed to help me understand and pass the class with a B. There's two midterms and one final, she prepares you for all of the tests and offers extra class times to help you understand. She's the best Math instructor I have ever taken and I definitely recommend taking her class.

Take stats with Adlman! I can't say enough good things about her. I was dreading stats and I ended up not only understanding it easily, thanks to her great teaching style, but also loving it! HW was not turned in (but do it!), two midterms and one final. She allows corrections. Held weekly study sessions. Always answers questions. She's an angel!

Professor Adlman is one of the greatest math teachers at VC. She is clear in what she expects you to know. Homework is optional and your grade is decided by 3 tests. She lets you correct your test for partial points. Take her if you have the chance!

Andrea is one of the best professors at VC. She is very direct on asking you why you may not have your calculator, formula sheet , or any materials you need for hw or class practice. You need to do the practice reviews over and over to get the hang of which formulas to apply. Homework is optional but it is a headstart to any questions you'll have.

She is defiantly the best professor to take. Gives you Test reviews before the test and they are exactly alike! Just study and practice and youll pass.

She thoroughly explains material, and answers any questions you have. She gives out study guides that are the same kind of questions on tests, and even helps you do corrections to get points back and turn it in again. There's no collected hw but it helps if you do it. Super helpful prof and highly recommend taking her class

If you have to take stats, take Andrea. If you suck at math like me, take Andrea. Andrea is the perfect professor. She understands what college is like in 2019. She is not stubborn and knows most people are taking this class to transfer. The first day of class, she says you will not get a D or F. 3 tests with study guides. Take her.

Quite literally the easiest math class I've ever taken in my life. She provides extremely detailed guides for both the midterm and the final going over EXACTLY what shows up on them and how to do it. I would highly highly recommend taking her if you need math credit.

Professor Adlman is precise and focuses on teaching what's going to be on her midterms. She has 3 and they are not burdensome. The final is basically the 3rd midterm. A huge plus is that she provides a formula card so you don't have to memorize any. She allows for corrections & extra computer exams that only help provide extra points.

She is so passionate about her teachings and making sure you understand everything very well because she wants everyone to pass! No big assignments but the test are very important so just study hard for those and youll get an easy A !

I took the online class for this course, however, she holds optional reviews where she goes over all the material. She explains exactly what you need to know for the test. Although it is an online class, you are not alone. Before the test, she holds an optional Test Review on campus. GO to all these reviews and you will do great!!! She is amazing.

I am so bad at math, but Professor Adlman helped me get an A! After the first class, I almost started crying happy tears because I actually understood what was going on. She doesn't assign homework, but she has practice tests for her exams which are practically identical to the exam! I 100% recommend her. She gives you everything you need to pass!!

Took online class. Only 3 grades which are midterms. Just watch midterm and final review videos for an easy A. Also, attend optional lectures for a better understanding of the topics.

Adlman is AMAZING. She required no homework or quizzes to be submitted. "But do them. I can tell on your exams when you dont." Even class time (lecture) is optional, but I went because then it was basically a 1 on 1 tutoring session. Really wants to help you, & is super funny! *note*: she waits to publish ANYTHING on Canvas until class start date.

I hate math with a passion because I struggle in that department but needed it in order to transfer and she helped me understand the information in order to pass the class. If you struggle with math and you take her tell her and she will help you succeed the best way to suits you.

Professor Adlman was a good teacher. She made statistics easy to understand and made clear what you need to do to pass. I had trouble getting responses to emails, but overall a good professor.

I have never had a math instructor in my life that was so easy to understand for most of the class. Andrea knows what she is doing and she has earned respect from many years of teaching. Statsistics sounded scary to me, but if you attend class and pay attention you will do good and possibly enjoy math! Attendance isn't required but it helps.

Her online lecture videos are very thorough. However, it is definitely not for people who dont do well learning on their own. I did like that she provides study exams that are almost identical to the real exam but with different numbers. No surprises. Straight forward. Tests were taken in person on campus. Grade depends on 3 exams only.

i took her summer 4 week course and would take it again. she is straight forward and states it in her syllabus. she helps you when needed and her exams are straight forward with her practice exams. 10/10

I took her Elementary Stats class (Math V44) as my first in person class at VC and absolutely loved it! I took AP Stats in high school and really struggled but the way professor Adlman teaches just makes sense. Also gives opportunities to make up points on quizzes by doing corrections. She's the best!

Easiest math class I've ever taken! Never thought I'd say I like stats! Love her teaching style, she goes slow and makes sure you understand the material. You won't have an issue if you attend class and pay attention. I get a little sleepy and the numbers can be dry but I ended up enjoying writing in my little notebook. Good luck! Thanks Adlman!

I took her class on Fall of 2023. Such an amazing woman. She genuinely cares for her students and makes sure she makes her quizzes as easy as possible. She gives out a practice quizzes with step by step answers, and for the actual quiz, the only thing that changes are the numbers. Highly recommend you take her class. Super love her! 10/10

This professor is amazing, she takes time to go through the type of material that will be on each and every test. You'll have a chance to make corrections to whatever question/s you got wrong. I am extremely grateful and blessed to have found an instructor who sets you up for success the way she does. Thank you, professor!

I suck at math but she is a great professor. She only teaches what you need to know and you can make test corrections. I would watch her online videos and it helped me pass the exams. Exams are only 5 questions just know the material. She wants you to pass the class and is very helpful! I would stay after class and ask her questions!

Enjoyed her class; it was a longer lecture, but her explanations were thorough and understandable. Always available after class for help, and made sure to help anyone if they needed it. Gave optional "extra credit" questions to everyone throughout the semester to bring up points. Great person overall as well, would definitely recommend.
