Nice teacher.....goes straight from the book....sooo much material to learn. just study your book and cd. she takes questions from the cd. loves nature. overall good time.
No teaching just reading from book, very hard to follow goes to fast, from 22 students 16 droped. You are better off learning from text book. I never missed a class, but wasted my time, and did not learn anything but to hold my frustration.
VERY VERY HARD! Class averages for tests are 50s. Shes seems to be nice but she switches subjects very easy and is overall a bad professor.
class was boring and didnt make learning easy. the test does not go with the material you learn in class.she thinks its ok for the class average to be 50 on tests because one person gets an A, she claimed it was "do-able".she doesn't ever show u your grade till the day of the final.
Class was very very hard. I am a Bio major and I had trouble at times. I did make an A but I think that is because of all the Ass-Kissing I did. I do not recommend this teacher to anyone. She is awful!
Veeeery hard teacher. My major is biology. I learned more at elementary school. She uses the book, does not explain. Test beyond comprehension. I am a "A" student, had a C in her class. After her I am wondering if I still like biology.
Very difficult teacher, yet very entertaining and fun. We hardly used the book most of what she taught was on slides. She made everything very clear her exams are real. By that i mean you better study, I got an A, most people had a hard time with the terminology but still a great challenge, if you want to go on into Med school this is a great start
Excellent teacher! ?Had a great time learning about bio. and yes the exams are difficult so studying is a must to pass.
Worst class of my life! I felt like I had to have already taken bio 2 before taking bio 2. Never stoped to explain connections between some subjects, goes entirely to fast, doesn't provide good examples, has her own agenda. She is almost always available to help you-
Class is fairly easy. Mostly done in groups and not much of homework. The big book is rarely used. Her in class tests should be studied if you want to pass. The course goes really fast and most exams are research papers. Their is efficient time given to work on paper. She does not accept late work.
Her class went by at a really fast pace, sometimes hard to keep up. Don't really use the book much. I was shocked that I actually pulled a B in her class. I love that she's really into nature and the environment because so am I.
to me the class wasn't difficult at all. she teaches from powerpoint, i never opened the book once and i got an a. she provides reviews for exams and is available to help whenever you need it. as long as you study, you should be able to get an a. if sciences are harder for you, then you need to put more effort into it.
No need for a book. Everything was presented by powerpoint that we could print out and bring to class.
Had her for anp II. It was harder than anp I, but i managed to get through it by studying a lot. You will not pass if you dont study for her class
Really enjoyed this class! I'm a Biology major and I just WISH she was teaching Bio 2. She uses power points so DON'T BUY THE BOOK! She gives you ALL the tools you need to be successful. THE REVIEWS ARE PRETTY MUCH WHAT THE TESTS LOOK LIKE. Memorize the reviews, and you've got an A. This class isn't a breeze but if you study, you'll learn A LOT!
Very good teacher. The material was hard and there was a lot of it, but she explained things pretty well. Study a lot and you will do fine.
Hard, you have to study to pass, and lab grades are easy
Extremely over the edge, should be simple science Human Ecology she could have made it fun. Likes to trick exam ask for response papers but grades like an essay stating not enough depth? I have a 3.97 -not clear, picks favorites so if you kiss butt who'll fit in,if you go the extra mile you intimidate her lack of intelligence in other academic areas
Mrs. Anderson prepares you for the future courses you would take at an university. Many students just want the easy way out, study the review, make the notecards and take plenty of notes and you will be fine. no need to complain.
Her grading is very unfair. She plays favortism, if she doesn't like you its over. She's not very knowledgable with her teachings. Stay away from taking any of her classes. You've been warned.
If she is helping community college students prepare for university she should get permission to confuse students regarding homework and exam reviews. she makes you figure it out so she can play with you grade if she ends up not liking you she needs an evaluation...or she needs to challenge herself and go ahead and teach at a university..uh think..
Yes, she is quite difficult, but if you ask question and take interest in her class she will certainly help you. You must go the extra mile for her, particularly on the essays. Just make sure to go into a lot of detail on every assignment! Overall, she is not terrible.
I have to agree with everyone who says she is a great teacher. All others really should STOP complaining and get organized!! It is very easy to be one of her favorites..simply show up to class, pay attention, do your assignments and you too will be one of her favorites. WOW!!! Isnt't that why you are in college?!?!?! GREAT TEACHER!!
DONT TAKE HER. SHE IS A NICE PERSON BUT VERY HARD TO PASS...
She reads off the slides and if you ask her to clarify something she doesn't. She tells the same stories and is a nature and health junkie. The only good thing is that she smiles alot when she fails you.
Mrs. A is a good teacher, helpful when asked and willing to help other than class time. You must have powerpoint and follow along taking notes, not a sleeper at all but Ace-able if serious.
she makes you spent 10 hours of your time to recycle around campus for and write about it for 20 points on the final grade the course has little or nothing to do with biology and more about her and the enviorment you will not learn anything and it is a waste of time
she was a very nice person and all but was not a good teacher overall...a bunch of us would study our asses off and 80% of the review were not on the tests. she would give us a review telling us what to focus on and it wouldnt be on the practicals. nice lady...but bad teacher
She was not very clear and its true that while she does give reviews, most of the review was not on the test itself.Best advice just ignore the review and just study the slides relentlessly. I got an A in this class and the slides were all i did. Ok teacher overall.
Unreasonably hard on tests, uninterested in giving more extra credit for those who need it.
She is a good person, but NOT a good TEACHER. College is about being able to think and learn outside of the box, but how can you advance your knowledge when the teacher dismisses any questions you have, because it contradicts with her OPINION. Next time your in class ask about the other side of the issue and she will act like it doesn't exist.
THIS IS COLLEGE! Of course you have to work for your grade and yes, you actually have to work in her college class. But she gives you reviews for exams which are very helpful, lots of group work, like 2 or 3 short papers, and one project. She's a great professor and if you actually try and show interest, you'll get an A. I learned alot from her!
unreasonably hard...and doesn't seem interested in helping you out with getting your grade higher. no extra-credit. 1/2 class was failing
I don't know what class the person that says the reviews are what the test are, but to ME they were totally useless. I studied and studied and barely 2 questions were from review. Most just thrown in from out of left field! the average on major test were 50-65? that stinks! i believe the teacher was expecting miracles.
Nice lady bad teacher. Smiles lots, even when she fails u. Explains concepts horribly and doesnt make sense. Of course it's college, and a&p, so u have to work for you grades but reviews weren't helpful, no extra credit offered. Wouldnt recommend her class to anyone, unless you want to read books & teach urself. She xpects miracles.
Ok I have to correct my last comment because it sounds retarded. Of course you have to read books, but I meant that if you want to teach yourself and understand the textbooks yourself w/o the help of a good teacher, then go for her class.
LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!!!! If possible I would take her for every science class!!! YES, her classes are NOT easy. You will NOT do well if you do not attend class and/or do NOT study outside of class. As long as you study your notes and the review you will do great!!! She is HELPFUL and does care!!!
So she is a nice lady, she obviously likes to teach, but she is unorganized and flighty. There is no extra credit or work to get a higher grade if you have a low grade. She benefits those with the highest grades. If you want to make an A or B then STUDY daily!
Read the book, Study the power point slides and attend class on a regular basis and you'll be fine. She helped me alot.
Very nice and a lot of fun. Pay attention, study, and try to show interest it pays off. Test are not as hard as most people say however she does have her tricks so stay focused. Learned so much in this class.
Andera Anderson; hummmm! let me think; she is a nice person, she seems to be vary passionate in science especially botany, she is welling to help, but she gives alot of work to do, Her reviews for exams sometimes come late so that dosen't leave you alot of time to prep for exams and is unorganize.
Does not know the subject she teaches! Lectures are very disappointing; she just reads off her powerpoint. Stay away!!
She is tough! I took A&P with her.Nice lady but I would not take her again or recommend her to anyone else. Her test reviews are totally different from what she puts on the test. Test questions are worded so you have to think about the question. If you want an A you have to really read and ask questions.
would not recommend her. exams were extremely difficult, even with a review which only covered about 30% of the test. test covered up to three chapters at a time. her lectures were too scattered and difficult to understand at times. nice lady, gives some extra credit.
Instructor was all over the place and extremely forgetful.
Would not recommnd her. all of her reviews only covered about 30% of the actual test. the tests covered three chapters.you have to really read into what she is saying. lots of homework and it was difficult at time to understand her.
Quit whinning, your in college! Yes you have to study and learn thats the whole point. Study, attend class and you will be fine. She is very helpful and knows the subject very well. This is a tough subject so study hard.
This class was much more interesting than I initially thought it would be. However the content was a little tricky so read and study materials.
Very nice lady, a bit challenging as far a teaching goes but I learned a lot.
One of the worst professors I've had. Yes she is a nice lady but she should NOT be teaching. She is unclear in her lectures, homework, reviews and tests. Her reviews are useless. She even told the class she doesn't believe in teachers. She is not even qualified to teach the course considering she has a degree in botany.
Very nice and funny lady, as well as a good teacher. My only complaint was that the reviews were minimal in relation to test. Otherwise I learned a lot from her class.
If you concentrate on the material in the reviews and not the specific questions she asks, they are helpful. if you concentrate on the notes, you will do well. She cares about how well you do as long as you care, which is all you can ask of a professor. I am taking her next semester as well.
Not too happy with how she taught. The reviews were pretty much useless. Might as well have just said "study the textbook," because the reviews DID NOT go along with the test. Wouldn't take her again.
She is pretty cool once you get to know her! She helped me out a lot when I needed it. Just make sure you do the reviews and look over her power points when taking a test. I would take her again, I know she is a lot nicer and laid back then a lot of other A&P teachers!
Sorry to say this teacher is not there to help students she could careless. She sets test up to trick students I dont care how much or hard you study I fell she gets a thrill from this. I do not recommend her. I feel sorry and Pray that she changes not all students want it easy but to always set students up thinking your helping them is not the way.
teacher called me out in class when I was talking to my lab partner as to "if I had something to say?" I did an outstanding presentation presentation with my lab partner, tried as hard as I could, completed all requirements asked of her on the presentation, and I got an F!! have over 84 college credit hours, w/ a 3.7,in her class, I had a 40 ave.
If you you are required to take this class, and want to pass, don't take her class. this is my best advice. and if you DO take her class, heh, good luck man.
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. I believe she takes her personal problems to work and takes it out on the students. I also believe she favors students and is very unfair. I worked and studied hard but it still wasn't good enough. She is all over the place and unorganize.
She is a very nice teacher, and her class is not hard what so ever. She only tests you on exactly what is covered in class. Learn the material, don?t memorize. I studied about 10 minutes for each test and had a 93 test average. Don?t study her reviews just your notes.
This is by far the hardest class ive ever taken.!!! She expects you to know ALOT ALOT ALOT for one simple test lets not mention her lab exams -_- My advice DONT take her.!!!
She is extremely helpful. I thought I was gonna be bored out of my mind, but she made it entertaining. I'd recommend her to anyone.
this lady is extremely attractive and good looking. she is fun for a young guy to look at all class. other than that the class is hard so STUDY! READ!
It's true that she doesn't like tardiness! but I was late often and making an A. There is NO homework, just read the material. She's not hard. Everything on ALL the tests were provided on the reviews. If you do the review, then it's an easy A. There are no surprises on any of her exams. It's classwork only, and quizzes on the class material.
I thought Ms. Anderson was a lovely lady. However, this class is REALLY HARD unless you have all the time in the world to spend on it. She is unclear at times and requires a lot out of non majors. This class should be taken by Botany majors only.
Do not take her class. She is all over the place and not clear, count off for spelling but she does not spell well herself. nice to have her as a friend but as an instructor she is AWFUL! over 50% of the class failing, calls you out in class If you know the answer she will argue with you aand try to pve you wrong Avoid taking her class
This instructor is not well organized, she does not follow any kind of order. She seems a bit forgetful, and does not seem to teach to students, she seems to want to refresh the memory of peers. Some of us are not her peers. This is our first time in a biology class. Do not recommend new students take her.
In all fairness she was not a very good teacher. I don't know if she even cared that half of her class dropped, and the other half failed. This is not a difficult subject. The teacher makes it difficult. Take this class only if you are extremely familiar with anatomy and physiology already. She does not teach.
If you take her course you are going to have to study...and study hard. This is not an easy course, it's not meant to be. She is always helpful and understanding of personal situations. There are no surprises when it comes to tests, everything is from our notes. She even discusses prior to the tests what will be on it.
This lady was all over the place with her notes! She is very particular, counts off for spelling, and multiple other things. She does like to surprise you on your tests. The final she said was going to be essay, so everyone studied for an eight question essay. Well she changed it completely, and everyone did horrible! Please do not take her
She is a really awesome tearchers, and nice as well. All you have to do is take good notes as long as you study your notes you'll do fine. You also have todo ale arn smart thing online and those are easy 100's for the class, you can't not get a 100 in the learn smart. She will truly prepare you, i would recommend her for any nursing/science majors
This teacher is ridiculously confusing. She throws in tricky questions on exams, test had questions that were not covered in class. Jumps all over the place and doesn't finish teaching what she started. Half of the class dropped. The people that passed had already taken this class once before. Don't take her, you'll regret it.
test are insane
She is a very nice lady, but her class is INSANELY difficult. More than half of my class has dropped. There pretty much a quiz every class and there are 4 lecture and lab test that are all extremely hard.. think twice about taking her.
Seriously, her tests are OK if you study. BUT she doesn't give ANY credit if you don't FULLY understand the short answer questions. Also she will make a mistake on the multiple choice options, and won't fix it for you. She's an ok teacher...but i wouldn't take her again.
Very very nice professor. Rigorous course but get used to it, science is not easy. She is very knowledgeable and approachable. She loves nutrition, so if you have any interesting questions, feel free to ask her. Hard tests, but all worth it in the end. I reccommend her to science majors only!!
This instructor is difficult and confusing. Her tests are rarely on lectured or lab material, i think she just uses tests from previous classes and forgets to lecture on those parts. I would never take her again. I received a C and my GPA before her was a 4.0- Find another professor for AP.
Do not take her for either A&P or Nutrition. Her nutrition class is on the level of microbiology and organic chemistry wise. There are no power points or notes for her online class and your own notes are to be from reading the book. Her discussion topics are practically like essays and require citations due every week. 2-3 quizzes and exam weekly
She is an awful teacher, she doesn't care if people drop/ fail she makes assignments and quizzes due ALL THE TIME and they have nothing to do with what she teaches in class. We pretty much have to read out of the book to learn anything because her lectures are all over the place.
Only take this class if you have no life. Most online courses are for convenience giving working adults and parents flexibility to log in when time permits. However with this class deadlines are over the place some during the week hardly any on weekend. And for test must go to testing center on campus which also doesn't help out the working adult.
Very estrict on deadlines, sometimes more than one test per week, very difficult for working parents or single moms. Lots of research to be able to write an essay on topics you don't even know. Time consuming and chapters are not easy to understand, don't take her online class.
This professor is extremely confusing and is all over the place with her tests. only take this class if you plan to dedicate all of your time to it.
I do not suggest anyone take her for Nutrition. I really didn't learn anything from her. She does not offer reviews for tests AT ALL. I have never had as much trouble with a class as I did with hers. This is not my first time in college, I already have one degree and have never encountered a "professor" like her.
I have a masters degree and took this class because I am ready to make a change in careers to nursing but even though I read through the comments I risked taking this class and regret it! She is all over the place, does not teach, tricky exams, and is not willing to help her students. Even if you excel in biology do not take her!
ugh, worst bio teacher ive ever taken. she gives old reviews and then tests on totally different stuff. she is not good for someone who doesnt already have a good grasp of bio. i would never take her again
She is all over the place. The tests are different from the reviews. No help whatsoever. Hard to understand. Hard to make an A in the class. I recommend not taking this professor ever!!!
This professor is very nice and easy to talk to, but doesn't go in great depth or detail during her lectures. Sometimes she has to stop and double check her knowledge during lecture. It's very helpful to read the chapters before class! Especially because there's a lot of time spent in class where we are asked to go over new material with a partner
I took Ms. Anderson for A&P II thinking since I got an A in A&P I I'd do the same in this class. WRONG! I've never found a class hard but she makes this class very tough. She's confusing in her lectures and makes the lecture tests EXTREMELY difficult. She made the lecture tests and study guide for it but the guide was absolutely no help at all!
Some say she is all over the place, but she is just really KIND, and wants students to be able to understand the material. She has fun, interactive lectures. Lets you take quizzes with open book on the weekends. She is very helpful and awesome at emailing back. She makes sure that everyone is involved and understands the materials. Take her!!! :)
Personalities are different and many are quick to give negative feedback. If a professor doesn't suit you, move on. Don't ruin it for someone else who could be a perfect match. Anderson is an amazing professor who cares for her students. She wants you to pass her classes. YES! Science requires work. Stay in communication with her. That's best! :0)
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Tests are tough and do NOT follow the reviews given. The textbook is also no help. there are a bunch of little assignments that aren't so bad but little to no extra credit opportunities. very disappointed to have wasted a semester on this class.
This was suppose to be an easy course that I was interested in learning but she made this class the hardest to pass with an A. On the homework she gives you a clear grading criteria but the homework is not worth a whole lot. The exams are very hard and studying your previous test and homework will not help you. You better love to read.
I would never in my life recommend this lady to teach anything to anyone.. review are not what exam is about and she's all over the place good luck
She goes over basic & general information during her lectures & in her quizzes but exams are tough & detailed that aren't covered in lecture & a huge % of the grade. My advise would be to read the chapters & ask questions during the lecture. arrive on time, she counts off attendance grade. Be ready to take notes, lectures are fast paced
She is everywhere with lect, test are very hard and not at all what she has covered. This was my last class I needed to finish before I transfer :( I guess I have to stay longer..
I am a Senior and this class is designed to make the students fail. You must have a photographic memory to pass the exams. To top it off the exams she gives you are closed book, no notes. All students are required to have to sit in front of a computer with a web cam and you are recorded while you take your exam. Very invasive and nerve racking.
THE WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! tests are unrelated to what she lectures on. she makes you do online assignments that have no relevance to her tests. DONT TAKE HER!!!!
The course is not set up very well at all. The reviews for exams do not help you with the exam at all. There are grammatical errors and misused terms in the reviews. No further advice is given for studying for exams than to use the reviews and the flashcards, which don't help. Some answers to review questions are not in the book.
Lectures are all over the place, no clear instruction or grading criteria. Gives lots of irrelevant work. Study guides and notes that are posted have NOTHING to do with the exam. Doesn't follow the book. Office hours are little to no help, basically on your own for this class. No tips, good luck
She is very nice.. but I am an A student and I struggled to maintain a B in this class. She has no structure what so ever, reviews are pointless, and she sometimes give wrong information. Just no! God no! Please don't take her if you want to pass!
Nice lady. Tough class. Mostly female nursing students. 1/3 dropped class. 4 lecture & 4 lab tests, & tough Final. Avg. grades for: lecture exams - 66, 68, 60, & 53. Lab exams - 78, 69, 70, & 56. Average for final - 59. Be prepared to read, do homework, participate, & study hard. You need to know the anatomy AND the physiology (functions) to pass.
this class was hard but not impossible. she is a descent professor she explains everything you need to know(she includes illustrations). as long as you pay attention and study you should pass. exams are passed on notes not reviews. the people that write bad reviews over her are just bitter. i took 4 classes and worked full time and still made an A
HORRIBLE PROFESSOR!!!!! LECTURE TESTS ARE NOTHING LIKE REVIEW FROM POWERPOINT. DOESNT MAKE MATERIAL CLEAR FOR FIRST TIME A&P TAKERS!! IM AN A AVERAGE STUDENT AND AM STRUGGLING TO MAKE A B! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! ALSO LAB EXAMS ARE TRICKY SAVE YOUR SELF FROM THIS MISERY
A very nice caring Professor, but one of the hardest classes I ever took. Review and power points don't really cover whats on the exam. Which are 60% all three exam class Avg has been in the 50s. A lot of home quizzes and homework. Prepare to study and cry.
With all honesty, I was scared of taking her online class due to the comments. I took her for Maymester and by far it was one of the easiest classes I've taken. You just have to stay up to date with deadlines and her reviews for exams are extremely helpful and worth it. There are only 2 exams of no more than 50 questions. Not hard at all!!
In all honesty the material is difficult in general. However, she puts it in a way that its easy to remember and learn and understand. If you meet with her on her office hours you will be sure to get a good grade. For her class you get what you put into it. Her lectures are amazing and doesnt go directly off slides. Loved her class.
She is terrible with her exams. Lecture doesn't match up with exams because she makes questions convoluted and uses material she doesn't go over or material that was glossed over. No extra credit and is all over the place with her lectures. Her lecture reviews pointless because she skips around and the ones she skips are almost always on exam.
Exams nothing like review questions super nice lady make sure to meet with her after test she counts some wrong accidentally. Skips around a lot on teaching material, Is caring, 4 lab exams 12 percent of grade, 4 lec exams 55 pct, 1 final. pop quizzes. Pros sweet lady willing to help. cons, terrible exams not like reviews at all. good luck.
I took her as an online flex class for nutrition it was the worst experience Ive had with an online class. The discussion we have to do in our group are hard to do because we have to respond to peoples discussion and they dont post till the last minute and she takes off points then she didnt even give a study guide for the mid term or even say
Professor Anderson is an amazing professor. She clearly lays out the course and is always available if you have questions. I was weary about taking her for a maymester because of her reviews on here but she is honestly amazing. The course is very heavy in homework but she gives you exam reviews which are helpful. Overall great instructor!
Tests are not related to lecture. Focuses on things not on the test. Cannot answer questions about her own quizzes. Tests are all free response, your answer may be correct, but that doesn't mean it is right. Take any other professor and save the headache.
She is super nice if you contact her for issues and she's technology savvy. She does not give extra credit and grades so tough. Dateline for discussions are strict and not good for working students. Exams and quiz have double answers but are difficult to tell since all answers are hidden. Do not rely on her exams review because exams will be differ
She is completely scatterbrained. Her reviews don't match up with her tests at all. Her exams are riddled with errors have content that isn't in the book, or slides. She may say something random in class once and it will be on the test, and won't be in the book or slides. Pretends the class is A&P. Avoid if possible
DO NOT take this teacher. The exams are nothing like the reviews she makes us do, & the reviews are lengthy. Uses lockdown browser for exams & quizes. She teaches really fast so if you havent taken a&p2 you will be lost.
this professor is really nice. her reviews are nothing like the test and has material that is not in the book or power points. i took her without the pre-reqs and it was very stressful. it very much seemed like an A&P class. you have to pay attention to everything because you never know what she might put on the test.
This professor is extremely unorganized, can't answer 90% of questions her students are confused about, gives tests that are irrelevant to everything we learned. On top of the ridiculous tests, they are also all short answer questions. Not one single multiple choice the entire semester. Not enough detail? Well then the answer is completely wrong.
Probably the worst teacher I've had, ever in college. She prides herself in the fact that her class test averages are 57% for one test, 62% for another test, and 68% for a third one. Her tests are horribly written, difficult to understand, and you take them online at home, but you have to turn your webcam on and stare at the screen the whole time.
All exams are short answer, and correct answers depend on her opinion on whether it is right or wrong, not facts. There is no use in studying because exams have random questions and require way too much detail to get credit for. Horrible communicator, hates being corrected, . NVC clearly doesn't care about students after hiring her.
lectures are all over the place, grades exams depending on her opinion, not facts. This class was horrible and has made so many students who afraid to speak up fail. Grading is extremely unfair.
DO NOT TAKE !!!!!!!!!! If you have the option to take another teacher please do. The reviews she gives are Absolutely nothing like the Lecture exams (55%). Labs and lectures are not lined up. On Exams if you dont explain in detail the whole thing is wrong. This was my first time taking this class and Im usually a B student struggling for a C.
Do NOT take this course! Like others have said, anything she "lectures" is not close to whats on the exam. The test are so confusing, she doesn't just ask you what she wants to know... YOU have to figure out what she's ask for and if you don't answer it correctly its wrong! DO NOT TAKE THIS! I really believe she means well just an awful instructor!
Prof A. is bit of a stickler for how she wants assignments done, but def still cares for the success of her students; will work with them if need help! Friendly. Don't be scared by her syllabus as long as you come to class and be respectful its gud. felt there was unneeded busywork so not my 1st choice but NOT at ALL as bad as the others say!
I think she is a good professor, but reviews were over stuff that isn't covered very well in the book. Definitely need to take notes, and know your stuff for the test. She uses lots of short answer and some multiple-choice questions on exams, and very demanding on the discussion boards. I took the maymester class, very fast paced so be prepared.
She's a very nice and caring person, her lectures ate straight forward and she actually makes it entertaining, Exams aren't that bad some are challenging but not impossible, she's super patient and willing to do anything to make you pass this class Take her, its worth it
I took her online, she doesnt really teach good, she read over power points really fast, you have to study a lot for her test. She can be nice but she doesnt go into specifics during class meetings.
testing is awful. She always seems to care but in reality she doesnt.
I took this class in the Spring of 2021 and let me say big mistake I had to drop because I was going to fail. Take it from me if you can take another professor save your time and money. So much assignment's and the test are most of your grade 55%. Don't think quizlet will help you for this.. Not even the slightest chance.
Worst teacher award goes to Anderson. I hope she reads her reviews and thinks to herself am I really this bad. Or she already knows and doesnt care. Either way, Anderson I hope you read this a quit teaching for the love of NVC and students. You are nice I will say that but not when it comes to grading and ur teaching. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HER!!!!
Before I even signed up I couldn't find any reviews on her which was very odd. After I signed up class went fine for the first few weeks until the first lecture exam which brought me from an A+ to a C-. Nothing you do will save you because the questions she picks are off of random things she says in lecture. Niceness isn't everything guys.
This instructor is easily one of the worst instructors that I have ever had. I have a 4.0 GPA and have received high As in all my other classes; however, I am struggling just to pass this class. Her exams are insane with class averages in the 50s. If you are signed up to take class with her, I would highly recommend you rethink that decision.
Professor Anderson comes off as she is going to be very helpful, but in all reality she is TOUGH! She does not give any extra credit, she does not take off any low exam scores, and the way she teaches does not match up to what is gonna be on the exams. Anderson also gives BACK to BACK exams, and seems like there is no time for studying.
If you're considering taking this professor, do yourself a favor and look for another one! 55% of grades are exams. Exams are fill in the blanks, no word bank, and points get deducted for misspelling. No second chances, no notes, no books, nothing. Lockdown browser +Webcam. Never had to drop a course until I had this professor.
Ms. Andrea is a beacon of inspiration for lackluster attitudes and communication. 24 hour notice before a mandatory 5 hour lesson? No problem! Snide remarks when said students can’t attend? Check! If you’re looking for an abysmal time in school as the apocalypse kicks off, look no further! And remember, this is just encouragement to do better.
Im in nursing school now no thanks to her. Classes are tough for my school but not as bad as this so called professor makes her classes. Fundamentals of anp 1 and 2 are crucial so when I look back at my old notes Im always reminded of how bad her class was. So I give her one star reviews so she doesnt bring people down with her. DONT TAKE HER!!!
This professor is probably the worst one I've had by far. 55% of your grade depends on her awful exams that have questions which weren't on the reviews. She pretends to care about your well being in the class but in reality she's just there for a paycheck. You have been warned.
I took her for A&P 1, even though her class was extremely tough I made it through her class with letter grade B. I went ahead and took her again for A&P2, biggest mistake I have ever made. I'm not sure about my final grade yet but I have never struggled so much in a class before. My advice to yall is DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS, SHE IS A NIGHTMARE!
she doesnt actual teach more so she will tell you to watch 2-3, 30-40 min videos and you can take your own notes on them.doable class but at some point it will make you care more about the grade than learning the material, only 5 points max on ex. cred for each test, no late work accepted
you have so much assignments to do and every little time to study since your just rushing to submit other assignments. Grading is awful with 55% on test, so good luck if you fail one. Would not take again! I had no choice as she was the only professor for online classes
I took AP 1 and 2 with Professor Anderson; she is a phenomenal professor. She thoroughly teaches the concepts but makes it easy to understand and follow along in lectures, lectures can be long, averaging about an hour give or take. She provides extra credit for exams and exam reviews. I recommend doing the labs first before listening to lecture.
She is so nice, very helpful. Constant reminders. Gives a lot of homework to help your grade. Gives a lot of extra credit and gives great feedback. Very understanding. Tests are not hard and reasonable amount of questions, that were actually on review.
This is by far the absolute worst professor i've EVER had. Her entire class isn't based on learning the material, it's all about passing the lecture exams. The exams are worth 50% of our grade while assignments are worth 5%. I scheduled a meeting to discuss my grade and was told to improve my study habits. My grade went WORST PROFESSOR EVER!
TERRIBLE professor. The test material given is not even close to what she goes over in her videos. After taking my first lecture exam , my grade went from an A- to an F- and was told by HER to improve my study habits. Did not help me what so ever and couldn't even bring my grade up by doing the assignments ! All we do is prepare for tests
I wouldn't recommend this teacher if you need at least an 80 to progress in your program. Grading is tough, and lecture exams count for 50% of the grade. Despite submitting all assignments on time, and asking for extra credit to reach an 80, I was left at a 79.56 with no further help.
Tough class with a heavy workload and strict grading. Engaging with the online content and using study tools like Unstuck AI can help, but be prepared for challenging exams. Consider taking this prof only if necessary, as the consensus is to avoid if possible.
Does not work with Veterans or First Responder at all. She will drown you in homework constantly each week in excess which is crazy because test are basically 50% of your grade while assignment mean little to nothing towards your grade practically. Test heavy. Lecture heavy. No flexibility. Deadlines on test and assignments are very unrealistic.
