Very strict with attendance in the beginning of the semester and towards the end. She favors students that speak up in class. Aibrant teacher who motivates her students.

Odd duck. Somedays I loved her, some days I hated her. She loves what she teaches though and offers help if needed. It was an interesting class and I did learn quite a bit.

Glebe is a great teacher if you apply yourself and follow her system. I went on to CSUSB, using the tools she taught me, and received an "A" on every paper. Many times professors commented that my papers were master level work. My writing/resume landed me a $50K per yr starting salary. I used to hated writing because it seemed so hard!

Awesome. (I repeat) Awesome teacher. Very clear; will help you in any way, shape or form. I hated English at first but then she taught me many ways how to make my writing "spicy" as Glebe says. I recommend her to EVERYONE.

This teacher is very strict, if you have to leave due to any problems of your own she tells you to drop the class. But if she suffers a migrane and cancels the class three to four times in a semester it is okay. I wouldn't take this teacher again if my life depended on it.

The glebmeister is the best teaching teacher ive ever had, it was an honor to have her class

Teacher was good, but some days you love her, other days it was hard to be in her class. One good thing was that she did not shown up for class like 4-5 times during the semester, but that was kind of frustrating sometimes. Stresses attendance. You write papers and your classmates read and correct them, which was hard because they were personal!

Glebe is an awesome teacher if you are serious and want to learn. The tools she teaches you to write with are awesome! I was a "C" writer before her class but left as an "A" writer. It was challengeing but fun. I liked her so much I took her for 101,102 and 104 (which I did not even need). She is a great teacher and I highly recommend her!!!

Really good teacher! She canceled 3 or 4 of the classes. Shes some times is really loud, especially when she screams word "out" nope not out of the class. For example when student reads sentes with a comma in a wrong place she would yell out "OUT" to point out that comma shouldnt be there. The first day that i was in her class she scared crap of me

Excellent teacher! Stay on her good side. Do things that should be expected of a student such as coming to class, having your assignments ready, and you'll be fine. She gives good advice, input, and suggestions on how to be a better writer. I highly recommend her.

VERY VERY GOOD TEACHER! She is not the teacher to take if you want an easy "A". She cares about her students and will be very instrumental to students who are interested in learning. She is a bit strange at first but hang in there it gets a lot better. ALWAYS BE PREPARED OR SHE GETS MAD!

She is a very unpleasant lady, but does teach well when she shows up. During lectures it seems like she is yelling.She does have favorites in her class, and seems to favor males more so. She was gone for about 75% of the time that I had taken her do to surgery. When she was there, she tried to cram in as much info that she could.

She teaches exactly what you need to know and how to use what she teaches you in the best way. If you love English she makes you appreciate it even more and changes the way you write only for the better.

At first, she seems very mean and scary but she turns out to be an amazing teacher. She is great at what she does and taught me how to be an amazing writer. If you want an easy "A" I wouldn't recommend this class but if you want to become a better writer, she is definitely the teacher to take.

Glebe is a proffesor that takes her English very serious and wants the student to learn. She is a bit tough and may seem mean at first but is only doing it so the student is successful in the class. If you would like a challange this is the teacher to take. If you want an easy "A" in a class do not take her. She makes you earn your grade.

Someone mentioned Wagner as a good teacher -- WHAT!!?? Wagner's horrible. In fact, I wonder if she really has a degree from anywhere. Glebe knows the subject, loves the subject, and will take those who care and work hard beyond what they expect to achieve. A+ for Glebe, F- for Wagner.

Glebe is a very knowledgeable teacher in English. Her test are kind of hard. She is the best teacher I ever had in English. Even though I'm scared to see my grade for her class, I would take her again. I sat in the back row due to my size, but she gets to know everybody. Take her if you want to really learn something and grow in your writing.

Great teacher! Creative Nonfiction has been the most rewarding class I've taken thanks to her. She is very helpful and the assignments are not difficult at all. I recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve as a writer.

Glebe is a good teacher if you want to work really hard and still not get an "A" in the class. She considers "B's" a good grade, and rarely (if ever?) gives high grades on papers. If you take her, good luck!

She is amazing. She loves what she teaches and if you are willing to put some effort, she will help you out. She is hard; however, I have learned from her more than I ever have from anyone else. She gets upset if you are late or miss more than 2 days of class. No texting;no saying bless you;try not to use the restroom when class is in session.SUPER

Great teacher. She can be a little intimidating at times but I learned so much from her. Completely prepared me for the next class. I did not have an interest in writing until I took her class. If you show up pay attention and do the work you will do fine there. She is great to get a letter of recommendation from too.

She is a great English teacher! Her class requires a lot of participation and attendance, but I personally learned a lot from her with only having 4 essays the whole semester! Her quizzes are easy and she helps you out if you ask her. I highly recommend her!

Awesome. She loves to teach English and if you care she cares. Do not be late or absent, it irritates her and she will show it. Very helpful. Participate, fix your mistakes on the next essay and you will be fine. She is understanding. I learned a lot from her. I wish all the English professors were like her.

This teacher is truely a great english teacher. She's very clear with her lessons and provides help to anyone who needs it. Glebe rewards students who shows up and pays attention. The essays are easy to write, and easy to understand. I look forward to taking her for english 101.

Only takes interest in good writers or those who contribute to discussion. Picks favorites and gives them privileges (ex. turn in paper next class). Not clear with how she wants papers written, but good with giving time on papers. Will try to help if you approach her. 50/50 chance you'll enjoy her class.

She demands you be on time and cell phones are a big NO NO with her. She loves when you speak up and ask questions if you need help. She will never make you feel stupid for asking questions. She is like no other teacher I have ever had and would highly suggest her to anyone who wants to learn. Thank you Mrs. Glebe for being yourself.

She is the best professor that I've had so far. Her class is not difficult as long as you utilize the tools that she gives you in your writing. She is very helpful and will take time to answer any questions you have. There aren't too many essays in the class so you have time to work on each one. She is nice and fun.

One of the best teachers I have ever had!! She really cares about her students and works with you. Most of the work is done in class(which were mostly cut short because we barely did anything). Easiest english class ever and I actually liked going. Definitely take this teacher!

AMAZING. Words can't describe how much I loved this class. Professor Glebe is so kind and so helpful. I learned more in this class in 16 weeks then I did in four years of high school. She answers all questions with such a caring attitude and never makes you feel stupid when you ask questions. She loves what she does and it shows. So worth it.

Very straight forward and consistent. She does not follow the syllabus to a tee but that is because if the class needs help on something she will stop and clarify. She has multiple quizzes on the notes so as long as you look, you'll do fine, plus they are only 10% of your grade. I would definitely recommend this class to other students.

A queen! Okay, seriously if you have any interest in creating a fulcrum, foundation, or focus for your writing take her. Simply being in her class will instill a sense of immediacy to cultivate stylistic habits and flip perspectives about every story you have read. She is intimidating initially – but you'll end up liking that the most.

Personally I love her the way she taught. She has a sense of humor not many like bc it's a little on the sarcastic side but i can relate. She does what she can on order to help and is just as tough on grading. Great Pro. Deffinatly recomend her.

Love how she asks the class lots of questions and has students participate frequently with doing work on the white board. She has the attitude of you are all adults so be responsible and do the work if you want to pass!

Prof. Glebe's class was one of the best classes I've ever signed up for! She's very straightforward and doesn't mess around when it comes to teaching her students the fundamentals of English. She loves class participation, so by all means speak up and she'll love you for it! Pay attention and take notes and you should have no problem passing!

I took this class and I loved the participation aspect of it. You can read what you write and no one judges what you write. She's a little tough on the grading but its only for the better. Excellent lectures, loved this class though I got a D.

Professor G changed my complete outlook on English, essays, and MLA. She is more than willing to help and work with students to get them up to par. She doesn't take any crap though. If you follow her instructions and lectures you will do fine. If you participate you get points. Just an amazing professor who cares, I no longer fear any essay!

I was honestly intimidated the very first day, but that intimidation turned into fascination! Professor Glebe is an amazing instructor and it is obvious she loves what she does! She is very clear, she loves when people volunteer and she gives great feedback on every paper. I have learned a lot and her teaching style is great as well.

Andrea Glebe may seem tough and intimidating at first, but she is one of the most caring and helpful instructors that I have had at VVC. Lectures are thorough so do your best not to miss class. I tried to take English 101 with her, but it did not work out with my schedule, however I will be taking English 104 with her this coming Summer 2018!

Professor Glebe is one of the most hard working professors on campus. She gives out great feedback, very important lectures and definitely brings out the best in you. She does cancel class frequently & doesn't tell anyone that she canceled so I suggest taking her as your last class for the day so you can just go home right after!

Professor Glebe is by far one of the best professors I've taken at VVC. She is so caring and funny. Her lectures are great, she gives great feedback and she's very straightforward. Only thing is that she doesn't email students when she cancels classes and she cancels classes maybe 2 or 3 times. Besides that, she's the best!

Best Teacher in the world! If you want to learn take professor Glebe. You will take the skills she teaches you everywhere with you for the rest of your life!

She's clear and concise, and actively seeks for what the class is struggling on so she can go over it again/edit quizzes and final to fit our learning needs. She's a professor who will be real with you and make sure you have what you need for any class that requires English skills. A little late on handing back essays but that's more nit-picky.

Shes an absolute great professor I plan on taking her for ENG101,104 and Creative Writing. I love everything she does and how she does it. She offers requizzes if the overall class score wasnt too great after she goes over it to help us understand. Best option if youre looking for an English teacher who truly cares about her students.

If you really want to learn how to be a better writer, then take her. For being English 45 the class was really not too hard. The class consisted of essays and quizzes. And that's pretty much it. The only downside is that she does take quite a while to give back essays.

Glebe is a fair and honest grader, she cares immensely about her students, and is engaged. She is very responsive to emails and questions, and never turns down an opportunity to help. Also just an all around good professor! But beware, she cares a lot about attendance and participation. This is a class of average difficulty so the majority pass!
