A fun class! I enjoyed every class and always learned something new. She's very inspiring and makes you want to get in shape and work harder for your goals! If you've always wanted to take kickboxing but never had the courage, take it with Andrea!

shes hard but in a good way. If you take a pe class you should want a good work out and she'll make sure you get one. She's in amazing shape, and knows what she's talking about.

I took kickboxing and it definately was not a cake walk-and I am very athletic. THis class worked me and even toned me down, so I advise only take her classes if you are ready for a good workout.

Very nice person. DAMN SHE IS HOT THOUGH. I thought she looked like Brook Burke first time I saw her. She motivates you very well to do your reps and sets. Can be a slack off in her class. I'd definetely recommend her if you want to get toned and fit.

She is so great! if you take any PE 1 classes, take one from her- she gives really hard workouts, but they have great results and she makes it lots of fun! plus, she's gorgeous!

I wandered into a girl doing a kneelift and that was a problem, especially since I am a guy. I can vouch for it: those kicks will incapacitate any man. You'll be able to grab your purse back and run. Instructor not very sympaethetic while I writhed on the floor.

This class is amazing, I got the conditioning and instruction that would have been costly if it were done at an outside gym. Andrea knows what works and knows how to teach it. If you are willing to put the effort in you will definately see the results. After taking class I was able to develop muscles that I didn't know I had before.

Once, during the fitness test, I went into a sweat-induced dream state where I saw the face of God. She was tanned, toned, and had a million-dollar smile that, if harnessed, could cure cancer. I love Andrea Khoo.

GREAT!! It is all about the work you want to put into it, but she is nice, funny and most importantly modivational!!!! she encourages you to work but at your own pace. nice person too. tells great stories while you work out totake your mind off the sweat and pain lol

I took her abs and toning class and they were awesome! Even though you sweat and go through lots of pain, the results is worth it! Take as many classes as you can with Andrea! She motivates you, while you put in the effort. I miss her classes

Very nice and will kcik your butt into shape! she looks great BUT she does it in a healthy way. i had her for years before i graduated--and I've never been as in shape. i miss her! enjoy her classes while you can! (i took kickboxing, interval toning)

An amazing teacher, and an amazing person. She'll only be around for a few more quarters so try and get her while you can. It's almost impossible, but keep trying. She's not one to take any crap about working out either, so don't sign up unless you're seriously going to go to class. Leave the space for those of us who want to be there!

I took her for Kickboxing and Abs & Back Toning... she is awesome! Definitely need to go to class, you will sweat like hell... but it will be worth it in the end.

I signed up for the kickboxing class and didnt get in b/c the waitlist consisted of 50 ppl! i just went to the class anyway. it was amazing!! i even bought myself focuz mitts ($50) so i could do some stuff at home.

Absolutely Fantastic classes. I started out with just abs/back and am now doing Aerobic weights and kick boxing. I have lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks and am still lossing it. Take these classes!

if there was one thing i wish i could take with me from davis, it's andrea khoo. she is THE BEST fitness instructor i have ever worked with and if i was rich, i'd pay her a fulltime salary to travel with me everywhere i went. UCD is very lucky to have her teach PE!

Andrea is fabulous and is one of the BEST fitness instructors i've ever had. I love that she pushes her students, and emphasizes that not because you're a woman you can't strength train. I couldn't do a proper crunch nor had I ever been so sore until I took her class. She IS the reason I have a gym membership. The woman is amazing!!!!

Absolutely the best Fitness instructor one could ever have. Speaks clearly and succinctly. Truly works with you and your needs as well as integrating the class as a whole. This woman really knows kickboxing and weightlifting. The first quarter I enrolled in her class, I gained more than 10lbs of muscle and lost my spare tire. Eventhough I'm a dude, I take this woman seriously. I have been a Kickboxing and Abs student of Andrea's for over 3 years. Now I'm working on a 6 pack abs.

After taking her classes, I can do 100 pushups and started working of pullups. I am in the best shape ever and feel confident. My boyfriend loves that I'm strong too and that I like to lift weights. We workout together now. Thanks Andrea!

Andrea Khoo is the greatest PE instructor to walk this earth. Her classes are always intense and you never leave feeling like you wasted your time but you also never feel like it is too hard. I have been taking her classes for 5 years and with her help I dropped 50lbs of fat, got into great shape, and gained a good amount of muscle. TAKE HER CLASS!

Andrea is the #1 reason to get priority registration. I have taken her abs/back, kickboxing, and interval classes; all fun but extremely challenging. She knows how to keep everyone motivated throughout the quarter & you will look forward to seeing her at 8 am; can't say that about many teachers. Caution: once you take her class, you may get hooked!

Andrea is the most inspirational teacher I've had. After just one quarter with her, my thighs are almost rock solid! She is very clear in her instruction. Her classes are tough but are completely worth every sore muscle! Without her, I would not be even close to my goal fitness level.

Andrea is hands down the best fitness instructor one could hope for. Great Dj, super upbeat, incredibly physically fit, master of her subject matter, funny as hell, motivational, Optimistic... Why she is not an Olympic athlete trainer I don't know. Also, her snicker doodles are awesome.

I have been struggling to loose weight for three years now. I tried everything from dieting to working out on my own, but nothing has helped me more than taking Andreas Class?s. I lost twenty-five pounds in one quarter taking her class. Weight loss is not the main goal of her teaching, but it is the outcome if you work hard enough.

Andrea is absolutely amazing. I came into her class as a competitive weightlifter, yet every class I learned tons of new information about fitness and diet. It's been 8 months since the last time I saw Andrea, but I continue doing some of her exercises. She helped me to set several records; she will definitely be able to help you with your goals.

I've taken her Interval, Abs&Back and Kickboxing multiple times because I'm addicted. I MUST take at least 1 class with her every quarter! I loved that I didn't have to be in perfect shape to join her classes, because she makes it possible for everyone to succeed while still getting great results (I've had to buy smaller sized pants) Thanks Andrea!

Andrea's pe classes are very INTENSE, FUN and WORTH IT!! She is the best, and inspirational!! She always teaches us something new in every class. She made an impact towards me to become a competitive athlete, and to purse a degree in kinesiology/Physical Educaton. I've incoporated her exercises she taught us into my workouts. Joining Andrea's classes by chance was probably the best thing that happened during my time at Davis. The classes are SUPER fun, challenging and so unique that you will NEVER find any PE or exercise class alike. No other 8am class gets wait-lists of 100+ and that just shows how great a teacher Andrea is! However early, everyone wants to be there :)

Challenging workouts that really keep me in shape. Andrea's classes helped me shed my freshman 15 that I gained and couldn't get rid of on my own. She's an amazing athlete. This woman has 8 pack abs, muscles everywhere and she is gorgeous! Nice to see a woman who is strong and girlie. You must take her classes.

All classes are definitely challenging & worth getting up early for. I have taken all of her classes, including the quarter she did Step Aerobics. Between her classes and my own work after I graduated, I have lost over 35 pounds and have ran a Half Marathon. She is very motivating and encouraging. When I started, I could not run a half-mile.

Such a motivating instructor. Hard workouts, but she definitely knows how to push you. She might be intimidating at first glance, but she's one of the kindest people I've met. Oh and guys, don't be misled by the titles of her classes - "toning" (as seen in course catalogue) is misleading. She definitely utilizes strength training techniques.

Taking intervals and cardio kickboxing has changed my life.When I first started,it was such a challenge.But if you keep going and stay focused,you can see results.Because of this class,I went from being able to run half a mile to running six miles,and still counting!Andrea's awesome,take these class and get a different perspective on exercise

At first you will think she is trying to kill you, but she makes it so much fun you stick with it! In 9months I lost over 50lbs! Best part is that for once, I wasn't trying! I was just having fun! I was actually excited to go dress shopping for my graduation! She will have you wanting to laugh, cry, smile, vomit, push, and cheer all in one class!

Best PE classes. Waiting lists reach 100+ students within 15min of registration. Andrea coaches Kickboxing and bodybuilding at a local gym in Davis. I bought a membership at her gym when I graduated. Worth the money, to have muscles like this woman. Want to buy her DVDs and hire her to train me. Good person and great friend. Love her spandex!

The quarter ends in one week. I'm in the best shape of my life and lost 10lbs in 10 weeks. I hope to enroll winter and spring quarters. So many people love her workouts, the waiting lists are long. I may get a gym membership to take kickboxing off campus with Andrea. She's worth joining the gym.

When I first joined Andrea's class, I wasnt sure what to expect. I can say that after 1.5 years with her, I am extremely satisfied with everything that she helped me do and the confidence boost she gave me. She helped me discover my self worth after my fiance cheated on me and now- I am in medical school. This woman is the best!

Andrea is beyond amazing. She is the nicest woman, but will kick your butt into shape. I started out taking her kickboxing class in the fall, then added her abs class as well as her intermediate kickboxing class this winter. I have lost almost 20 lbs in 20 weeks!! I look and feel amazing and it is all thanks to her. I can't say enough good things!

I started taking Andrea's classes in the fall at the beginner level and stuck with her classes through Spring quarter-Advanced level. She is an amazing person who inspires everyone she teaches. She may look intimidating, but she has the biggest heart. If you can't get into her PE class, her classes at GetFit Davis are worth it-student discounts too

After taking her classes, EVERYONE, from people at the dentist office to family I hadn't seen in a while, noticed I had gotten stronger. The skills you learn in her classes are invaluable. Best P.E. teacher you'll ever have! She doesn't only take time to explain every exercise in detail, but constantly gives you tips on how to improve your performance, diet, and health. Even though attendance is mandatory, she's very understanding with whatever situation you're going through. She cares about you and gets to know you!

After taking Andreas intermediate and advanced classes I can run 8 miles in an hour. Before it took me 1.5 hours. Her classes are intense and fun. Her rates are $150 but PE is free for students. If you are lazy and rather sleep at 8am don't enroll! Waiting lists have 100 people. Save space for students who want a real good workout. Shes buff too.

(abs & back) She is wonderful! Obviously she's very dedicated to helping her students succeed and you can tell right away. She has a great personality and pushes you past your limit which is amazing. By the end of the course I was so surprised as to how far I've gotten. Would recommend to take if you can get in!

Ive tsken Andrea's classes for two years. She is my favorite professor at UCD. Im going to miss her when I graduate in June. Fun workouts, I've lost weight, gained muscle, and its easy to pass the course. Shes a nice person who inspires her students. Music is great too.

Andrea definitely isn't easy but she is fantastic. She's an amazing instructor and as someone who has had martial arts training, she's great with instructions about kickboxing. her classes are fun and she knows how to push students to help them reach their fitness goals and do things they never thought they could. I loved her classes!

Andrea is amazing. She's sweet, funny and guaranteed to whip you into shape. If your not serious about exercising then I'd advise you not take her because YOU WILL SWEAT! However, if you are determined and dedicated then this is the class for you. It's okay if your not in the greatest shape because she will help you to get there.

There are no words to adequately describe how wonderful Andrea is. I ALWAYS look forward to her classes. She's way more than an instructor, she's a friend and life changer. She has drastically changed my life for the better, and I am staying at UC Davis for another year just to get 3 more quarters in with her!! By far the best UCD instructor!

I waited 3 years to be enrolled, famous PE class for a reason. RESULTS. I lost 20 lbs and the weight justFell off in two quarterS. At first I was intimidated by such hard work. But I never skipped class so I got strong, super fast. If you ask Andrea for help, she is willing to help you. She wrote rec letters for grad school too.

Amazing! I took her interval weight lifting and abs class for a whole year and regret not having found out about her sooner. Her workouts are for the strong-willed who have a positive, growth mindset. Your body changes within 2 months and the workouts I learned w/her I will take with me forever! Andrea's class is one of my favorite classes that I have taken at UCD. Her physique was very intimidating at first, but once you get to know her you'll find her very nice and caring for her students. I was a former army veteran and got out of shape because of school, but Andrea was able to get me back into shape. It's tough but awesome.

Andrea's self defense class saved my life. Andrea taught me how to defend myself and most importantly she taught me how to use my voice. I was attacked by two men on vacation who tried to take advantage of me and I was able to fight both of them both off me and scream for help. Had I not taken Andreas self-defense class, things could of been worse

Prepare to be exhausted within the first 10 minutes of class. Take this class only if you're serious about conditioning and getting more fit. I've lost 10 pounds in the 10 week session that I've had with Andrea and this was when I was eating out twice a day. You won't regret taking her class.

I attended her workout classes for the last 1-2 years and they were a defining factor for my entire university experience. I have since joined the SFPD. Her classes made it so that as a women I had no difficulty completely the physical exam to get in the academy, including a push up test, sit up, and jumping the 6ft wall, most other women failed.

My fitness journey began in 2005 as a shy and chubby undergrad with Andrea Khoo in her kickboxing class. 10 years later, I now teach a variety of strength training classes at several gyms and have competed in 3 NPC shows! Andrea will forever be my biggest inspiration and one of my best friends! &lt;3 She changes everyone's lives.

LOVE Andrea's classes! I took her kickboxing series for three consecutive quarters: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. Since then, over 30 weeks, I've lost 11% of my body fat! I used to get winded coming up the stairs and feel so unhealthy. Andrea's class has changed my life. I feel so much more healthy and happy.

Andrea is awesome! I've been working out on my own for years and I've never made improvements as I have in her classes. She strikes the perfect balance of pushing us very hard and being supportive and encouraging. She knows how well we can perform and she gets us to do it!

Andrea is an awesome person! I've taken her kickboxing and interval weightlifting series and learned so much. She changed the way I work out and taught me so many skills for post college. Her classes are as hard as you make them but she's great about getting you to push yourself. I highly recommend her classes if you want a great workout!

Andrea's women's self defense class is empowering and incredibly valuable. I would highly recommend that any young woman at Davis take the class and invest in themselves. I found her teaching to be relevant, honest, inspirational, and very applicable in our college culture. I took her advice to avoid a threatening situation and am so thankful.

I really enjoyed Andrea's enthusiasm throughout the course. This course is a great challenge and really helps you overall. I tore my acl and meniscus last year and I was feeling self conscious, weak, and not myself. Because of Andrea I gained my confidence back and played in my first game of rugby after being injured for two seasons.

Andrea Khoo is perhaps one of the best people Ive ever had the pleasure of training under. She makes you work for the results that you seek. Shes not just a professor, shes also your friend and treats everyone with kindness and respect but also wants to make sure you never drop your guard. Ive taken 3 on campus and 2 off campus classes.

As an international student at UC Davis I wanted to take a self-defense class to feel more confident and learn how to react in a threatening situation. Andrea is an amazing instructor but also a great person. She knows how to motivate us and teach us the importance of being healthy and in good shape. She really cares about her students.

I started out taking her self-defense class and literally am now taking four of her fitness courses. TAKE HER!! Also for all you ladies, or men, that want to know how to defend yourself take her class. LOTS of great life tips. She's not just an instructor, she's your friend. HIGHLY highly highly recommend.

Andrea's class was one of the best classes I've taken at UC Davis, not only because of the physical advantages, but for the mental and emotional advantages as well. She truly cares about each of her students and helps us grow on a personal level that branches out into other subjects of our lives. She can be tough, but she's always fair.

I took her self defense class and I loved it! Andrea taught me to be more alert of my surroundings and become stronger. She really cared about empowering her students and making them more self-sufficient. I love the stories and advice she gave. I took her abs/back and weight lifting classes and it changed my life! Before then, I worked out on my own for a long time but never saw any results. After I took her classes I saw results within 6 weeks! I gained muscles for the first time, had more energy to do things, and started loving my body more. I never felt stronger mentally and physically

She is an AMAZING professor! I learned how to be more aware of my surroundings and what to do in a dangerous situation because of her self-defense class. She cares so much about her students and I definitely feel empowered when I'm in her class. I was able to stop a guy from following me because of her class. This is a MUST TAKE!

Highly recommend! I am so very thankful to Andrea for teaching me how to defend myself in dangerous situations. I owe it to her that I knew what to do when my family was attacked by a drunk in Chicago and my sisters/moms/my purses were stolen in New Orleans. If I hadn't taken her class, I do not know if I would have felt or acted the same way

Andrea is one of the most respected, inspirational, and caring person you could have as an instructor!! She is beautiful on the the inside just as she is on the outside. I took Interval and Abs &amp; Back, and was her TA as well. Andrea is the reason I got into bodybuilding/power-lifting, &amp; 10 years later I am working towards Physical Therapy school.

I took Andrea's kickboxing and weightlifting classes for 3 yrs in undergrad. She got me in the BEST shape of my life. 6 years later, I've joined an MMA gym &amp; competed in powerlifting. She is the reason I fell in love with fitness and started this lifelong journey. Andrea is an inspiration, and an amazing role model and instructor. SHE IS A GEM.

I didnt meet Andrea until my 4th year of college and I really wish I met her earlier! Shes super encouraging &amp; approachable. Ive recently started training with her again online through zoom. Whether you train with her in person/online youll feel the burn and get a great workout! Workout equipment can be pricey but its worth the investment.

I love Andrea's online PE otherwise I'd feel more depressed during the quarantine. I workout 8 times weekly with her. I've lost 20lbs and am stronger from her weightlifting courses. I've learned more than if I hired an expensive trainer. I look forward to her homework, really kicks my (now smaller and muscle) butt. Shes fun! Best class UCD

Andrea's PE classes were my favorite part of being a student at UC Davis. Even with virtual quarters, she put so much effort into ensuring her students were still getting great workouts in during class. I would love to have her back teaching at UCD!

Ive taken phys ed classes at my previous school in LA where with world class fitness professionals and Andrea beats many, if not all of them. I took her PHE 001 class to get stronger. I could barely curl 15 lb dumbbells on the first week and by the end I was curling 25 lbs (Im a 120 lb, 5 4 female). She will challenge you to be your best!

Andrea is such a gem! Although I'm not a UCD student anymore I'm so happy I reached out to train with her remotely (which I highly recommend everyone do!). It's almost as if I never left PE except I get more one on one time with her which has been great! I don't know how I would get through this pandemic without her.

Andrea is amazing! I met her at the arc and I did the free self defense class. Learning how to fight is essential, especially for women and Andrea is overqualified teaching. She is a professional bodybuilder, incredible person and mentor to have in life, and just an overall caring person, since then I've done kickboxing w her and feel empowered!

Self Defense class is fun and I love Andrea! A guy grabbed my arm since I didn't want to talk to him and I hammer fisted him, which she taught me. It worked! If I hadn't taken self defense class, I would have been too scared to do that. Now I kickbox with her off campus at Get Fit Davis gym. I learn to Kickbox with punching bags and gloves.

I took Self Defense Summer 2023. Andrea is super supportive and truly wants whats best for her students. She promotes mental and physical strength and reminds me what I am capable of.
