Instructor Knutsens class may have been difficult, but A&P is not an easy subject. She provided lots of extra credit, she was very accessible (quickly answered emails, lots of office hour time), and really cared about students. I learned so much and feel very prepared for a healthcare career. I recommend this class if you want to learn!

A&P is tough, but Prof. Knutsen helped students understand things clearly. She posts online lectures & answered questions in/outside office hrs. She graded exams & assignments quickly. She gave extra credit during the quarter and provided the opportunity to drop our lowest test grade. I felt she cared about me as a student & was a great professor!

She was extremely understanding and kind throughout the course. She is willing to meet with students outside of her office hours and will work with you one on one until you understand a subject. The course was difficult but I learned so much more this term with her as an instructor vs any of my other courses.

Professor Knutsen was available to help me when I was struggling and would always find time to fit my busy schedule. Her lettuces are clear and easy to comprehend and take notes off of. She is always looking for ways to help us learn better and if you have an idea that you think will help you learn the material she is always willing to help you try

While A and P can be difficult for many, Andrea's lectures, timely availability, and uncommon empathy give you the tools to succeed. I highly recommend her because she cares about her students and she makes all of the material easy and straightforward to understand.

Professor Knutsen's course is geared towards those working towards healthcare careers. I'm surprised reading negative reviews. She makes it very clear during lectures what specific concepts are to be seen on exams, gives an appropriate amount of homework for learning and many opportunities for EC. Clearly very invested in students' futures. 10/10

She's definitely one of the hardest instructors I've had, but also one of the best, you just gotta be willing to work hard. I wouldn't recommend taking any other time consuming classes at the same time though, because there's a lot of homework & exams are hard, but she provides all of the info needed in her lectures so take good notes.

Instructor Knutsen is great. She really cares about the education and success of her students. She provides ample opportunity to succeed with many helpful resources and office hour time to seek out help when warranted or just chat about interests. There is a lot of extra credit to take advantage of and it is not redundant, it really helps.

Andrea is very clear about the expectations of this class. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities to take advantage of if you are struggling. Tests are difficult and require studying but there are multiple ways to prepare for them from group tutoring time to exam study groups prior to exams. She has been the best instructor I have to date

I have taken her courses twice now and she is clear on what she is expecting and allows students to use their notes as she understands live is busy. She gives plenty of time to get your work done without feeling overworked or rushed. As long as you use the time given, you should have plenty of wiggle room if life gets busy that week.

Anatomy is not like any of your other online classes. sometimes the lectures are so long and it can be hard to obtain all the information thrown at you. offer extra credit and offers ample opportunities to meet with her if you don't understand something. if don't get the help you need and fail its your fault.

This is a demanding course, so going into it just be prepared for work. Instructor Knutsen is clear and concise. If you need help outside of office hours she does her best to be available with anything you may need. I highly recommend her, but please be aware if you do not stay on top of lectures and assignments you won't be very successful.

There is a lot of material to learn in her classes, however, if you stay on top of studying and assignments, you won't have a problem. The tests can be hard, but A&P is known to be that way. Andrea herself is super helpful and understanding. I feel like she actually cares if students do well or not.

Professor Knutsen is a performance-based educator. She is accessible for extra help with class work and course guidance. She grades fairly and offers occasional extra credit opportunities. Late work is not accepted, however the option is available to drop one exam score excluding the final exam. I have chosen her for all 4 of my Biology courses.

This course has been very tough for me but Mrs. Knutsen has is very helpful, encouraging and understanding. She makes it known in every lecture that if you need help she is available and will do what she can to help you understand. I enjoy her teaching style and I would recommend her to other students.

It was also easier for me to understand the matter online because I felt I could work at my own pace. There were still deadlines, but I was able to spend more or less time studying depending on the difficulty.

Professor Knutsen cares that you learn. She is very accessible for discussions of the material outside of normal class hours. She routinely offers optional evening tutorial sessions and study sessions before any tests. She lets you know what information is more valuable than other information. This is a great professor, although she uses an pearson learning which charges a fee. She also doesnt use the schools webpage for homework instead she uses a different server which is sometimes a pain to remember. It also a pain when you want to quickly view your grades

I loved professor Knutsen! She was so great and helpful whenever I needed help or had questions. Shes willing to work with students who has good communication. She really wants all her students to be successful and will try in any way she can to make that happen.

She is one of the better teacher's that I have had. I like her teaching style and she drops hints on what will be on the upcoming exam or lab exam. If you have any questions, she is more than happy to help answer them. I can tell that she enjoys teaching. I would recommend this teacher to anyone that is taking A&P.

I've had Andrea for four classes, this being my fourth, and she was an amazing professor. Just remember, you get out of it, what you put into it. Lectures are extremely important, and she is easily reached for questions or meetings as you need---10000% would recommend.

Professor Knutsen can be a tough professor, however, if you put in the effort and show that you're interested in actually learning the material, she is very helpful and accommodating. She is very eager for her students to succeed and in the 3 other courses I have taken with her, I felt supported by her and was successful in the class.

I felt this was a challenging course and would have been better suited as an in-person class (at least, for me). It felt more difficult because it was crammed into eight weeks instead of ten. Overall, instructor Knutsen knows her stuff and creates a good learning experience.

Instructor Knutsen is an amazing Instructor! This would be my 4th time taking a class with her (all three A&P and Microbiology) and I would 100% recommend taking her class. The course work is going to be decently heavy, but understandably. She is clear, concise, and provides many opportunities for you to succeed if you need the extra help.

I took all three terms of A&P with her and also Microbiology. She is a great teacher, yes the classes were hard but that was the material not how she presented it. She was very understanding and was always willing to meet outside of class hours to help me if I struggled. I truly will miss taking classes from her.

This instructor is quite determined and cares deeply about each student's success. Her lectures are quite long. However, she is mindful and respectful of both your time and the portion dedicated to learning. Her preparation within this section has been incredibly helpful. Overall, she is an amazing teacher and person.

Teaching is based a lot around lectures than labs or hands on activities. Presentations show a lot of information. Good job presenting material clearly, but a lot of rewording; difficult to understand. The study guides could be more specific, too broad and it's more likely for students focusing too much on material that really isn't part of exams.

She likes participation and questions during lectures. Taking notes helps.

This professor is good and she's easy to understand because of her well explained lectures. Theres a lot of lab activities that are helpful to understand material being taught. Gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities. Timed online tests can be a little short, but are open note/book

Professor Knutsen expects a lot from her students but assignments and materials are never a surprise. She hands out an excel spreadsheet with every topic and homework for the term outlined with clear due dates. She sends announcements, reminders, and study guides for tests. I wish all teachers were as organized as her.

She is a hard grader but if you watch the Lectures, read your book, and pay attention to her study guides that she hands out the test will come easier to you.

Andrea is an extremely knowledgeable professor who helps you UNDERSTAND the material she teaches. She is so caring and respectful and she doesn't make you feel dumb for asking questions. I now have a strong foundation of genetics to bring to Nursing school next term. I wish I could've taken Micro and A&P with her! SOCC is VERY lucky to have her!!

I did not meet my professor in person because I did take this class online. I took it during summer which means I only had 7 weeks to learn rather than 11 weeks. Doing full time school and work was extremely hard. Although I do recommend this class and professor I do not recommend to take it during summer as their is a lot to learn

I took this class online and the results of our weekly quizes and homework were hidden so we could not see the questions that we got wrong. This made it difficult to study the material that I needed to work on because I was unsure which questions I had gotten wrong.

Andrea Knutsen is well-organized. She provides timely feedback to questions and has a very structured course. The work is somewhat intensive, but in a good way, I really feel like I gained valuable knowledge from taking her course.

Professor Knusten, is a great teacher. If you respect her she'll respect you back. She wants us to all succeed in class, but we have to put in the time and also effort. She is very organized and clearly lays out the itinerary for the entire term, additionally lays out weekly plans every Monday. Is very open, a great listener, and a kind soul. Wonderful example of how being friendly and respectful to someone can benefit you later: she can be convinced (by the whole class) to allow notes or book during exams.

Do the extra credit because your grade can go down drastically if you don't do good on a test. Tests can feel intense but have all your resources ready to go beforehand because they help a lot and many of the essay questions come from the PowerPoint which is nice. Learned a lot and the class is very doable!

I loved all classes I've taken with Prof. Knutsen so far, and I plan on taking more. The structure and material of the class is clearly laid out and easy to follow. Much extra credit is given, and I recommend doing the EC as the material there was very helpful for the tests.

As long as you do what is asked on the syllabus then you should be fine. If you can do the extra credit then do it! It has been the only reason that my grade has stayed at the 90 percentile, a high one too, and has been a great cushion for when I am struggling on some materials.

I enjoyed this class, I also appreciated that Andrea was very well organized and had every assignment due date printed out on the syllabus so we knew what to expect.

Andrea Knutsen is a fantastic professor. She is knowledgeable of her content area. She is consistent. She provides excellent feedback. She is thoughtful of the materials that are present in lecture to help us succeed. She creates a classroom atmosphere that is kind, safe, and respectful. She has a great sense of humor. I've loved her class.

Professor Knutsen is a fantastic instructor who makes complex material engaging and easy to understand. The course is challenging but rewarding, and Unstuck AI proved to be a helpful study tool alongside the class resources.

Professor Knutsen is an advocate for her students. She wants them to succeed and learn the material, so she provides so many opportunities to practice and be involved. I really enjoy learning from her. She lectures most of class, but makes it engaging. There are scheduled group projects, and dissections, too, so you know what to look forward to.

Professor Knutsen is awesome! She is very welcoming and personable. It can be a bit daunting getting into the swing of things due to the homework expectations each week along with other commitments but once you know what to expect it's easy! A&P was very easy this term only because of her guidance and help.
