I love Mrs.Leonard! Shes a great teacher and she trys to make sure everyone gets the material. She truly cares about her students and shes cool. She definately makes the tests easy and understandable, and never tries to throw anything over your head.

EXTREMELY easy teacher! She'll make chemistry seem like a breeze. She's always willing to help. You don't even really need the textbook except for its practice problems. Study your notes, do practice problems, and you'll make an A.

Took her in the summer of 07, great teacher. Material seemed slow and easy for 1st three tests, but that doesn't mean no studying, just steady paced. Last test material was about as much as the 1st three combined! But the test was no harder than any given before. I could have made an A, if I had pushed a little more - still kickin myself for that.

Very good teacher, she loves to joke around and tell stories of her little girl but, otherwise, shes a very good teacher. The lab is super easy, out of a lab manual of 150 pages we only did 16 labs. She gives you everything you need over moodle so you have all the information you need. Memorizing elements and things are hard, start studying early.

AWESOME! She's hilarious and extremely helpful. Gives notes to you and you fill them in, in class. Get old tests. Problems in the back of the book are ten times harder than her test so don't bother. Do the old test and practice exams and go to class and you'll be fine. If you struggle she will gladly help- great instructor

Great teacher! I really enjoyed going to class because she was fun teacher. Lecture class with notes given in class so you have to go to get the notes. Not a tricky class and pretty basic chemistry. As long as you study a few days before the exam this class should be a breeze!

Ms. Leonard was a great teacher!! She was very organized with her lectures and she had half-made outlines for us and during class we would fill in the blanks in the outlines. It saved a lot of time and I didn't have to constantly write down notes because half of them were already typed out. You have to study a lot because the tests aren't easy.

She's great! One of the best teachers I have had thus far at UL and I'm a junior. No text book at all but she gives detailed notes, sample problems and a practice test for every exam. I have an A in the class, super easy if you stay on top of the labs and quizes...

Mrs. Leonard is an extremely helpful teacher. Her lectures are from PowerPoint (which you can print out) and she's willing to explain material over and over again. Drops the lowest test but she doesn't curve or do bonus because of the Nursing program. The material is definitely NOT hard especially if you have some knowledge in chemistry you just have to really apply yourself and study it... GOOD LUCK!

TAKE THIS TEACHER! She is absolutely fantastic. Her fill-in-the-blank notes are excellent. She is very helpful and funny too. No bonus points or curving, but your lowest grade can be dropped (non-comprehensive final that CANNOT be dropped)

Mrs. Leonard is AMAZING! She is so sweet and funny! Her notes are very clear, and her class goes by really fast! The material is not easy, but she makes it fun to learn. I recommend her to ANYONE. Studying is required, but attendance is not. Although she will not give you the notes you have to find them on your own. TAKE HER

She's extremely helpful and fair and lets you know exactly what she expects from you on the test. One of the best teachers on campus. Very funn too.

Mrs.Leonard was an amazing teacher. She was very clear on her teaching and if you did not understand she was very helpful on making sure you understood. Her personality is what makes the class. If you study her notes and the practice tests you will make an A. I recommend to study at least 3 days in advance to make sure you understand the stuff.

She is hands down the best teacher in the world! I never understood chemistry and made nothing less than a 97 on all her tests. She really does make chem an interesting and fun class to go to. Do the practice problems in the book and study the notes she posts on moodle and of course go to class and you will do just fine.

I wasn't going to take a summer class but I decided to seeing as how it was online. The videos were really streight foward and same for the exam. The professor was extremely understandable about me leaving the country for powerlifting. Ended up taking the exam about two weeks after the original date. One of my favorite professors by far!

I was recommended by a friend to take Andrea. I am so thankful that I did! She really clear and lets you know precisely what is on the test; no surprises. I finished the class with a high B with the intention of making a C or lower at the beginning of the semester.

Her personality comes out of a sitcom. I thought she was funny. Course work is broken up into managable pieces. A little (not dangerously,)fast paced for me. Went to tutoring weekly to slow things down a bit. Passed the class with a B. An A was totally managable, but made simple mistakes that prevented it. Would absolutely take her again.

Mrs. Leonard was my favorite professor to take yet. She makes this class 100x's easier than the textbook makes it. If you go to class and do the practice problems and sapling quizzes, you will definitely make an A. You can't miss more than 3 classes though or your grade will drop a letter grade.

I took CHEM 123 online, and it was so easy. Her video lectures are short and easy to understand. I never opened the book once. If you watch the videos and do the homework, you will do well on the tests. I had a medical issue during finals week, and she happily rescheduled my final. She didn't change the final from the one the others took.

Dr. Leonard is very clear in what she wants us to know for the test and makes this class extremely bearable. I took her online for 123 and didn't find it very difficult. Most of the stuff I already knew, but it's the last two tests when you start getting into bio and organic that gets difficult. Still, the online videos were helpful. If I didn't understand something, I just go back and look at the video. Do the text book problems

GREAT professor - the class is a lot of information but when you walk in class, the first thing she tells you is that she will do anything to help you understand. Always able to meet with you during office hours, and willing to work around those times for whatever works with you. Class boring even though I thought chemistry would be. TAKE HER CLASS

I love Andrea Leonard. I've taken her for CHEM107 and CHEM123 and both were some of the best classes I've ever taken. She is fun, she makes Lord of the Rings quotes, and she is pretty easy. I made A's in both. Lectures aren't bad and the tests are very straight-forward. Study a little and you'll be fine. I used the book for the extra practice.

Professor Andrea was awesome!! She was very helpful and she gives clear details of what she wants. Since most of the class time is for the lab, she sometimes posts videos of her lessons from the online classes she teaches to help you out with the homework. I would definitely take her again.

Mrs. Leonard is my absolute favorite teacher at UL! She is extremely helpful and doesn't make you feel stupid when you ask questions in class. She's always cracking jokes (that are actually funny) and it helps keep all of the students engaged in the lectures. If you struggle with chemistry I highly suggest you take her!

I never took a class online and I am so happy I did! She is down to earth, always accessible, patient and kind. Do exactly what she tells you to do. The tests are exactly what she teaches. No curve balls, very straight forward. The other profs will go over your head and confuse you. She could get a 4 year old to understand this!

The lectures are recorded with notes you fill in as you go. If you study, you will pass. You have to have the discipline to study as you go and not procrastinate. If you try to study it all right before the test you will not pass!

She was amazing to work with. Chem 123 online was very doable. The lectures were all online, with a packet to fill out as you go. I went to her office often for questions I had. She was always very helpful and ready to help out with whatever was going on. Do the sapling quizzes and follow the packet you fill out and you will pass.

If you need Chem 107. Take it during the summer with her. She has put a ton of work into the online section of this course and it shows. I wish the University would allow her to do an online 108 section.

Her online class is super organized and planned out. She gives you notes to print out for each chapter to go along with the prerecorded lectures. Make sure you do the sapling assignments because those points do matter! You just have be sure to study and know all the material and you can pass with an A. Its not difficult class just study the notes.

This was online class so expected you have to go the extra mile to ensure you receive a good grade. She is very helpful and gives immediate feedback. If you go to office hours she will assist you with quizzes, homework, etc. There is no extra credit so do your best on each test.

The nicest teacher ever! This class was such an easy A once you get the hang of the notes. There isnt much to grade besides 4 tests and the online quizzes, but none of them were too hard.

I took this class online and the quizzes were pretty difficult and the tests were kind of hard but completely doable. Its best if you keep up with Ms. Leonards lectures and not fall behind. I made a B, but I wasnt studying as much as I shouldve been, with that being said its not hard to make an A if you put in the effort.

I wish that Dr. Leonard taught in a classroom because she is SO funny! I love her little lecture videos (because this was an online class). Her tests were fair and she graded fair. She gave us practice tests for every one including final. For an online teacher she is very accessible through office hours and the Remind App. I would 10/10 recommend!

I know it's already been said, but Professor Leonard is just awesome! She's definitely the best teacher you can get for chem 123. She explains things extremely well. Tests 1 and 2 are easy, but 3 is where it gets crazy. Go to her office hours if you have ANY questions. I honestly wish she taught every class at this school!

The class I took with her was chem 107, it was a hybrid class, you only went to class for tests and the finals. The tests did get harder as the semester progressed, but I always studied the night before and never made lower than a C and the lowest test grade is dropped. You can redo all the assignments before the end of the semester for full cred.

I took this class as a hybrid class and loved it. Her online video lectures really explained exactly what we needed to know, she even had study guides/notes that you fill out throughout the lecture. She also made quizlets for us when we had to memorize things. Shes amazing!!

I took her online class. The online lectures were so great. I'm a polisci major and got an A because she structured this so well. Def need to study. but manageable. I only saw her for the tests but I man she came across as the sweetest coolest woman ever.

Had a rough time with other chemistry professors, close to failing the classes. However, Mrs. Leonard is a fantastic teacher. I took her online and you definitely need to watch the lectures, but doing so should make the rest of the class fairly manageable. You may need to study, but nothing you can't do. Recommend her 110%.

Truly a great professor. Even though it was an online summer class, she managed to keep her lectures interesting. You do really have to put in the work to do good on the tests. If you truly study, you will do fine. She had 4 tests, simple quiz each week and a couple of forum type things to complete. Overall a great class!

Ms. Leonard is THE best professor to take for chem123. If you can take it with her online, I HIGHLY recommend- she is extremely organized, always willing to help, and super prompt! The class IS hard because the amount of content(after the 2nd exam), but she gives you lots of study materials(practice exams and worksheets) to help better prepare you.

OMG absolutely loved this class and Andrea. She is such an amazing teacher. Offers extra credit and bonus but you prob won't need it because the lectures are very good and in-depth. She does "self-tests" at the end of each lecture and they helped me so much (they aren't graded though they are just practice).

She is an awesome professor! She cares about her students even though this is an online course. Be prepared to put in the time each week to go over the lessons, they will help you. Her lectures are beneficial and she gives a good amount of practice. You can get a good grade if you put in the effort.

Andrea's CHEM123 class is tough but rewarding. The lectures are well-structured, and she provides plenty of practice materials. I found unstuck AI super helpful for exam prep alongside the class resources.

This class was my easiest the whole semester. The lectures were very informative and very easy to follow. Graded on weekly quizzes and discussion boards, but they are all easy and you have multiple tries on each question on the quizzes. Would definitely take her again.
