Great Professor! Not only is she interesting, but the class is fun. She expects a lot from the students, but if you put in the effort you will do well. She is VERY knowledgeable in psychology. Definitely take this class with her. Its just too bad she doesn't teach any other courses.

One of my favorite teachers. She's young,and exciting. I recomend this class completely. Interesting discussions. Shes so so so cool. She's more on a students level than most teachers. Plenty of interesting stories and the notes arent too bad. Not much homework, but the tests are kind of hard. Take her class. Shes hot

Dr. MacAri is a great professor. From the first day of class I knew she would be cool. All I have to say is pay attention in class, take down really great notes, and study for exams and you will do perfectly fine. Dr. MacAri is a great person inside and out. I would definitely recommend her as a great professor to have.

Very passionate about pyschology and genuinely interested in seeing students do well. You have to put in the work to get a good grade, just study your notes and pay attention. Tests are fair.

Great teacher, if you get the chance take her! She doesn't give any homework, and gives a review sheet before every test which has the majority of the questions on it. Very fun and easy class.

Great professor. She uses real life examples to keep you hooked. The tests are HARD because there is a ton of info(if you study, you will get A's). Classes feel more like discussions than lectures. If you have the opportunity, take Macari. So what if she is extremely successful and knows it? Hopefully you will be inspired.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Macari!! She is such an awesome professor. She makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. Always open to questions and is always offering herself to her students in any way possible. She really makes class fun. Would take a class with her again in a heartbeat. TAKE HER!

Dr. Macari is a great Psych teacher. She makes class so interesting in her lectures. She truly cares for her students and tries to make class as easy as possible in that she tells you exactly what to study for on tests, gives great notes and also offers easy extra credit. She is terrific and fun!

Dr. Macari is awesome. Its very common for her students to take her for more than 1 class. Her classes are NOT a breeze, but if you work hard, she will help you along. Dont be worried about the presentation, she helps you out during it and since everyone is involved, you only need 25 mins of material to talk about. Most people had to be cut short

Great Prof, Uses real life issues everbody can relate to.Gives 3 exams no final. 1 3-4 page paper to do on a variety of interesting topics. mostly everything on test is on review sheet.

Great professor. Makes class fun and interesting, you look foward to going. Tests are tough. You must really study alot. Gives review sheets before tests.Doesn't give homework and you don't have to read the book, all is covered in class. Definetly worth taking but remember she is strict,she will not give you a good grade unless you earn it.

On the first day she was sick and her voice was very airy and i thought o god... but then during the lectures i realized that she is a great teacher as well as a skilled psychologist so she really knows what she is talking about. She loves to be asked questions, especially analytical questions that challenge her own knowledge.

Dr. Macari is a great professor. I took her for intro to psych i got a D but that's because i didn't study as hard as i should have for her exams. They are really tough and she even tells you that. She's very sweet and if you need help she is more than happy to spend time with you and work on things. whatever you do though DON'T TEXT IN HER CLASS!

She really is a good professor, you just need to put in a decent ammount of effort. About 4 hours of studying the night before a test will guarantee you an A. The best part is, if you have perfect attendance she''ll boost your grade a half letter. Pretty sweet deal. I would take her again.

love her. clearly explains everything, answers all questions, study for her tests and you won't have a problem. Go to class everyday, it pays off in the end for your final grade study for her tests and they're a cakewalk. all in all, great professor, fair grading, fun, personable and knowledgeable

class was fun. you def have to study and put your time into the class or you wont pass. 3tests and an essay. no hw just studying. in class you just take notes. nice women but not an easy class. you work hard and get test grades you will be fine.

As long as you pay attention in class you should have no problem getting at least a B in it.

I had her for 2 course ( abnormal psych n intro to psych) shes a really godo professor, but you have to put in work. She demands alot from you, but its reasonable with what she would like you to know. I would recommend her if you know your a good student and your confident! goodluck =)

she is a very sweet lady and is a very good preofessor. she makes sure you understand her lectures and notes and gives tons of examples. however she is an extremly hard grader. you need to make the effort to study at least 8 hours before the test to do decent. i highly reccomend her

She's a wonderful professor who really knows what she's talking about. In my class with her, we had 6 quizzes and she dropped the lowest 3 (how much easier can you get?!) and there was also a take home final that you could omit 5 questions from and make up one of your own. Her class was very interesting, I would recommend her.

She is very into what she teaches and will work with you if you don't understand something. You have to study a lot in this class or you will do poorly. She is a hard grader, she likes people to be detailed and explain themselves, almost to a professional level. If this is an elective get something easier.

Gives a lot of notes. You must study if you want a good grade. tests are very hard, and papers are graded very harshly. Don't be late. She'll kick you out of class for having a cell phone out. it is a very interesting class.

Her class was awesome. Probably the only one I looked forward to. Lots of notes. Really easy to understand. If not she'll explain well. You can't go wrong with this class. You almost never use the textbook. Only 2-3 textbook questions on a test. Her cat drawings are EPIC! I strongly recommend her. Just pay attention in class and it'll be fine.

Overall, good professor. Her notes are very easy to understand and almost everything you need to know is covered in them. However, she is no push-over, If you don't try, you are NOT going to get away with it. and don't disregard her class rules because she will not ignore it. I look forward to taking her again sometime.

I took online abnormal psychology. I loved the class but it was a lot of work. If you are looking for an easy grade choose something else. As long as you are willing to put the work in she will help you. Make sure you triple check your grammar!!

Hands down best teacher I've ever had!Im an older student and didnt have much interest in Psych., but She not only peeked that interest but made it enjoyable!Her tests are not easy but she preps you very well.Also have her for Honors Abnormal Psych., she's the only reson I took it, luv her!. Tests aren't easy or hard. They just require a decent amount of preparation. Professor is nice, funny, and knowledgeable. You would be hard pressed to find a better psychology professor at Suffolk.

Dr. Macari is a nice person she's clear on everything.If you fail one of her test good luck because its hard to pass with a A then. She also talks a lot about herself and is rude at times. I don't agree with the negative feedback at all. Dr. Macari was crystal clear with her lesson plans. As long as you take notes and pay attention during class, you'll do well. She gives you a study guide before every test which outlines 99% of what is on it. Look over your notes, do well on the paper and you'll pass with flying colors. Do the work.

Really smart woman and it's apparent from her teaching methods. Young at heart and she put's all her energy into lectures, making it interesting, fun, and CLEAR. Gives great notes but you have to read the text book and STUDY for her exams. About to take my first exam of hers and i know it is 50 multiple choice. Fingers crossed Take her class

took her for for 2014 spring semester, she is such an amazing professor. the test are exactly the notes she gives you in class except maybe 10 questions she'll throw at you that will most likely come from you textbook. enjoyed her lectures so much ! wish i could of taken her for psych 215!!!

She is such an amazing person and will make you love psychology. But this is one of the hardest classes I've ever taken. Her exams are hard and. It's mostly just lecture, she gives you an outline for the exam review but her exam wording & format is just impossible. More than half the class failed

She is the Kanye of teaching in psych. She can come across as arrogant, but there is no denying her expertise in the field. She grades tough and makes you work hard, but an A grade is attainable. She provided me with a clear understanding of how to write in APA. Her lectures were impactful and also, she is hot.

Dr. Macari was awesome! This is not a class that you can not study for. You have to study but if you do you will be fine. She gives a review sheet with basically every test question on it. The students who are complaining are probably lazy. In my class, she would ask after a test if anyone studied or read the booknobody did! It is college folks!!

She was absolutely amazing. She's freaking brilliant and loves psychology which makes the class very enjoyable. Tests are pretty easy but you HAVE TO STUDY. Many people were complaining about their grades but this is college, you can expect to pass or let alone get an A if you don't work hard for it. If you work really hard you'll get a good grade!

I absolutely love Dr. Macari! I've had 3 psychology classes and I have always taken her. If you don't read the text book there is basically NO WAY you're going to pass and the tests are really filled with information that you NEED to study, but overall a really great environment for a class and extremely interesting. She's loves what she does.

Took her abnormal psych class and she was so interesting. She made class enjoyable although she does teach straight from the textbook. She assigns 3 tests, and one 5 page research paper. Study everything in the chapters assigned and do well on the paper and you will pass easily. Also, gives extra credit just by putting your phone in an envelope

Taken Intro, abnormal, and history of psych with her. She is wonderful & passionate about psychology. The course is rigorous but will teach you so much. I have taken her for two semesters, has extra credit by simply showing up to class and putting your phone in an envelope, 1 point for every time done. 3 tests, but STUDY and read the textbook, doing the practice questions from the textbook helps a ton and has a study guide available, tough grader for sure, be ready to work for your grade.

Shes gives a lot of notes and the textbook is a must! Overall, shes pretty cool and loud but also makes us work which is reasonable

I loved her! No homework at all. Just read the textbook gradually as she does ask questions from the textbook on the test. She comes off as stuck up, which she is a little, but shes so funny and interesting. She loves what shes teaching and it shows. Show up, pay attention, read the textbook chapters, and you WILL get an A.

Dr. Macari honestly ran a very concise and interesting class. I took her Wintersession PSY101. Work was fairly easy, discussion prompts were very simple, and quizzes were open book. She drops lowest 2 quizzes and discussion posts. She also provides responses to all discussion posts. Read the book and do the module and the course is an easy A.

She's amazing! Nice and caring. Very interactive and expressive with lectures. Interesting concepts. Homeworks are easy. Not a lot of HW, also she dropped lowest. Tests were a little difficult but there was a curve. Also, she allowed 1 flashcard per test. Tests are weighed heavily. Independent reading, but you can pass the class without. EASY B!
