Professor Nofz is one of the best online profs out there; she's very kind and understanding, and she really interacts well with everyone in the class. The class was structured in a way that you HAD to stay on the ball in order to do well, but if you keep up with everything, you'll learn a lot and probably get a decent grade.

Professor Nofz's class wasn't the easiest but I definitely walked out more confident going into SPAN 201. Language is hard in general, her classroom group activities helped. Her tests weren't easy but STUDY and you'll do fine. There's a 5min speaking final which was a breeze. I am horrible at Spanish and walked away with a 3.4.

She's a good spanish teacher, but conducts her classroom more High School than most teachers. If you are doing anything other than paying attention to her she calls you out on it, even if what your doing is spanish-related. Her "catch phrases" can be annoying like "K" and "Super" but I learned from her, despite my personal dislike for her.

As said before when she tlks in english she uses the work k so much its annoying. she hates me idk why but she does. she calls me out on everything, she is rude, and annoying and i hate the way she talks. she isnt funny and very boring. she always says she will give a pop quiz then doesnt. ive ben late and missed class ill prob fail b/c of that

AWESOME INTRO CLASS!!!!! Of course she doesn't let you text because you're in a SPANISH course if you text it throws your mind of track of SPANISH! She loves doing what she does and is VERY good at it!!!! Do the work and you'll be fine!

I think she is a great teacher! Although her teaching style is a bit annoying at times (moving to work with partners), it does keep me interested and awake. There is homework everynight but it isn't due until the day of an exam. If you keep up on the homework, the class is a piece of cake. And it's fun!

Awesome teacher! Nofz is strict, requires full attention during class, reasonable deadlines, tests stretch your skills to the next level (when the homework is properly budgeted), and has good group projects that go in between homework and tests. Do all the assignments in good time and you should be confident with your Spanish speaking skills.

Professor Nofz takes her Spanish very seriously. Her classes are only for those willing to put in the effort to try, and if you try you will pass. Pair work EVERY.SINGLE.DAY (even for notes) and be prepared to be called on at least once a day. I am not a major spanish person however you can really feel her passion for her subject.

Great teacher. Pretty simple. If you want to learn Spanish, take her class. Her willingness to help even with the difficulty of language is unprecedented. The class is quite easy as long as you attend and do the workbook assignments.

Whoever said attending class is useless is wrong. A lot of your points were based on participation and she explained things in class very well. She was one of the best teachers I ever had. Very intelligent!! 4.0

Despite my strong personal hatred for her, she teaches well. Her system works and I learned a lot. That being said each day in her class was hell. She has one of the most annoying voices I have ever heard. Her attitude says "I love that I know something you don't and I'm going to advertise it" a lot her catch phrases aren't said by native speakers.

I took her for both spanish 101 and 102 and though her teaching style can be very elementary with lots of group work, no phones or chewing gum.. It works!! She truly cares about her students, keeps you awake in class and you learn a ton. Exams are also pretty easy just make flash cards for everything. Id take her again for 201, I enjoyed her.

Got a 4.0 but she made me hate showing up to Spanish; a language I've loved & taken for 13 years. You have to work in several different groups per day (constantly moving seats, hard to focus) & speaking in front of the class is mandatory. Both were awful for my anxiety. Her voice is physically painful. Sucks out the fun & takes it too seriously.

Clear and organized. She takes participation very seriously so if you don't particapate, late to class, miss class then your grade will drop. Group work is all day and every day in her class. She loves what she teach so you better love it too. Good teacher overall just have to work for your grade.

Nofz is an amazing teacher. She is always there to help her students and explains things very good! Her grading is kind of hard and you need to participate in class lectures. This class is an easy A if you pay attention and show up.

I had never taken a Spanish class before her and I was still able to get a 4.0 in her class. She's been doing this for awhile, she knows what works. You will do group work but it works nicely and you become friends with everyone. homework is easy and online. She will push you but it's worth it. Put in the effort, show up, study, you've got a 4.0

Wonderful teacher who actually cares about delivering the material! VERY tough grader and picky about perfect attendance as well as on time to class, this can get annoying, but she means well and her method of teaching gets the job done. You will learn a new set of 20-or-so vocab words everyday, so expect to work hard for your grade.

The class is a very achievable 4.0. Just do what she says. If you want to actually learn spanish she's a great professor. She's been doing this for a long time. She grades pretty easily, you're going to do a ton of group work though.

Well, I'll start off by saying that if you are late she will immediately mark you late and thus this affects your participation, you can't use the bathroom during tests or right after you step into the room or she marks you late, she is reallyyy strict but a greaaat professor, she loves what she does and you learn a lot, very passionate and nice.

A lot of the teachers here are very opinionated and get off topic easily. She sticks to the syllabus and is respectful of anything anyone has to say. The whole class is spoken in Spanish which sometimes makes it difficult to know what you are supposed to be doing. She often takes the time to ensure each of her students understand the lesson.

This class has been my favorite so far because of this professor. She loves Spanish and has such a passion for teaching it to her students. She sticks to the syllabus from beginning to end of the semester so you know exactly whats going on. I probably learned more Spanish from her this semester than I did in three years of high school Spanish!

I have never had such a passionate and helpful Spanish professor. The whole class is taught in Spanish which helps so much with listening and speaking. Professor Nofz is really good at putting concepts into the simplest terms to understand, and if you have a question she will take the time to explain the answer in detail. 100% recommend.

Profesora Nofz is the professor you want to take if you're serious about learning her subject. She's passionate about her Spanish and she's a fantastic, caring professor. That being said, she's a tough grader and the time requirement for this course is significant. I'm a 4.0 student who is struggling to maintain a B in this course.

Professor Nofz is one of the best professors I've ever had. She's extremely helpful and nice, and very passionate about Spanish. If you do the homework, participate in class, and study, you should be fine. I would take her again for SPAN 102 if I could.

Nofz is incredible. I haven't taken Spanish in a couple of years and taking her was perfect. She makes everything very clear. She lectures entirely in Spanish (which is great listening practice) and her exams are very clear cut. You will need the textbook and the online code, both are used frequently.

Took her class online, pretty good professor. Unfortunately you can't get ahead in this class. She releases exams and homework week by week. Final is via video chat.

Class was very hard for me. the pace was insane learn close to over 600 words in a semester. I also had no language background. But she is a wonderful professor. the material hard, but she does everything she can to make it manageable

Prof. Nofz is excellent! She spends time with students to ensure that their work is perfect. She offers office hours outside of class and responds quickly to emails. The class schedule is concise and she sticks to it. She welcomes honors students and is flexible with honors project ideas. Be sure to practice outside of class and do all homework.

All the information about the course if communicated clearly on the first day of class. She speaks Spanish all class but switches to English when necessary. She uses a lot of hand gestures to communicate the meaning of the Spanish words. She understands you're a beginner, don't be worried! I have so much more to say! TAKE HER CLASS! SHE'S SO GOOD!!

Super nice and clearly loves what she does. I learned so much from her in one semester. Definitely going to take her again. Turn in everything on time according to the syllabus and participate in class and you will get a good grade. She works with you on everything and responds to emails quickly.

I greatly enjoy my class with Profesora Nofz. She has a genuine interest for the subject! Although I was initially intimidated by her lecturing in almost exclusively Spanish, it has greatly helped by comprehension and pronunciation. I would call her grading fair, it isn't overly easy, nor overly hard. ATTENDANCE IS FOR POINTS, that's why I got a B.

While I did enjoy Professor Nofz, she run's a very tight ship. If you have an authority complex, don't like to study, or want an "easy A", she's not for you. Get ready to learn a TON of Spanish. Attendance is MANDATORY, she does not accept late work or offer extra credit. A majority of your grade is based on exams including a spoken final exam.
