She is a fabulous and very dedicated teacher. She makes learning fun and strives to meet everyone at their own learning modality. She is confident enough to ask for help to make it even better. This is a teacher you should definitely take.

Best teacher to tkae for the subject! Amazingly clear and consise about what she wants. There is a tiny group project, but if you show up for it and go for 3 minutes she will give you full points! I got an A in the class and didnt even study for most of the tests

if you want an easy-A class, take this teacher. she adds up points so your final wont hurt your overall grade if you fail. she doesnt give out much work and her tests are easy as long as you read the book. i ditched half of this class and i got an A.

An AWESOME professor. Best Psychology class I've taken, and I HATE biological psych. She does move quickly through notes (because she e-mails them to everyone), but other than that, she was funny, involved everyone, and graded VERY fairly. The book sucked ass. It was hella hard to understand although she did her best to put it in EZ terms on her presentations. The tests were challenging so you def need 2 study. Dr. Rashtian is extremely helpful & direct. Her class requires attendence, class participation, and some reading. It is not a difficult course by any stretch. The book is somewhat dry, but she does a fantastic job using powerpoint to clarify. The tests are a breeze if you read over your notes! She's nice & goes out of her way to assist her students

Dr. Rashtian is very clear and knowledgible in her field. I really enjoyed her class b/c it was underesting as well as not that difficult. She is also pretty funny and has started to use powerpoint as well so she emails all her lectures to you before class. I recommend you take her if possible.

She's an excellent professor who is dedicated to her students doing well in her classes! I have been her TA for the last 3 semesters and have taken both 250 and 302 with her. No student can complain about her grading because she gives plenty of chances to improve. In addiiton her exams are not difficult and come directly from lecture and book. :)

Dr. Rashtian is really nice. However, the lecture notes are alot and there are about 20 to 25 pages in each lecture...which you muct print out. Her class is boring. She gives many HW assigments and her test are kind of hard. I failed the first two...did good on the final and got a C.

Dr. R is really awesome! She knows what she talking about and really professional. If pyschology is your major, take her. She is easy going, doesn't give homework, only worksheets which are true/false on your opinion, tests are easy and she gives a study guide. As long as you show up, print her lecture notes, you will pass for sure.

If you want an EASY "A" don't bother taking her. A lot of memorization for tests, not much hwk. 3 tests, and a final. She gives out study guides and emails all of her powerpoints. Take someone easier like Graham... I heard.

She has an abundance in knowledge specifically in clinical Psychology. She's an amazing source if clinical Psyche is what you are pursuing. Take her, you won't regret it.

She gives you notes on her moodle page for the class. You need to go to every class to fill in the notes. Her tests are off her notes and journals that you have to read. It's an easy A if you go to class and attend lectures. The way she teaches the material sticks in your head.

I absolutely loved and enjoyed her PSY352 class. She is really nice & cares about her students. Her tests are a little hard but if you use the study guide you will do fine. She assigns a lot of assignments/activities which help raise your grade. Attendance is must! At the end of the semester you will be fine. Overall great professor and class.

One of the best professors at CSUN! Interesting lectures. Exams can be difficult but if you study her study guides you'll do fine. Attendance is mandatory because she sometimes randomly gives pop quizzes in the beginning of class which are open notes. The rest of the points consist of a brief reaction paper, online participation & group project.

I liked her class. If you do the work that is assigned and go to class everyday then it should be easy. I didn't like the group work too much, but its pretty easy.

All you have to do is show up to class and do the easy assignments she tells you to do anf=d you'll get an A. People that dont get an A in that class are lazy.

This class was super easy! She gave a good amount of insight into the world of psych and the different career paths. Not too many assignments and all of them were graded very easy. No homework,no tests, some reaction papers (easy), and a final paper/group project. Take if you want an easy A and to learn some semi useful info.

I took her class over summer. She has online review sessions, as well as gives study guides, BUT there is still material on the test that may not be on the study guide so you need to read the chapter! She was a good professor, my only complaint is her syllabus breakdown of the grade was not the same as the final breakdown.

She is approachable via person and responds quickly in email. I also like how the course assignments and quizzes are very organized in Moodle.The only thing that I believe she could improve on is that her PPTs & the book she assigned to read do not correlate with each other.Otherwise, she was very pleasant to work with and learn from.

Test are not difficult but are not easy so studying is a must. Make sure to get a copy of the textbook because even if class lectures get interesting, it can be hard to pass the class without learning the material on your own. Study beyond the study guides for exams because some material isn't stated on it. Overall, a good class and I definitely learned a lot.

Dr. Rashtian was wonderful! She was welcoming, fun to learn from, and made everyone feel comfortable. She has a lot to teach, about the course as well as life, and she makes it all very interesting. She is highly recommended!

Dr. R was an amazing psych professor, I enjoyed her teaching style. Tests were a little hard, you need to put the time in and study. Study guides are very helpful, know everything on the study guide very well and you will pass-- including random things about a term. I definitely recommend taking her PSY250 class because she loves teaching it.

Don't take her online class. Too much homework to do and she's tough grader. Me and my friend both failed on her online class. Tests are very hard and her lecture note is too simple. It's not helpful. I recommend not taking PSY150 online

Dr. Rashtian is great. Her lectures are very relatable and constructive. Allows you to redo assignments for a better grade. Some test questions were a bit harder and trickier than expected. You need to really read the chapters to answer them. She offers tons of extra credit which is really awesome for those who haven't done well on exams.

Dr. Rashtian is wonderful. She expects you to put in the effort, however, I have seen more repeat students in her classes than any other professor I have ever had. Andrea Rashtian is the best professor to take for PSY 250. I got 75% in the class and the class was Biological Psychology. It's interesting stuff for sure and you'll definitely leave learning something. I would strongly recommend to take her PSY 250 class because she loves teaching it.

Rashtian was an amazing professor! She explained everything very clear and was open to any questions you might have about the work. You don't really need the book all her tests are from the power points. Test were not so difficult as long as you paid attention However, her study guides are helpful but don't include everything that's on the test.

Dr. Rashtian is an overall a good professor. She provides lecture notes but sometimes her notes do not correspond to the assigned chapters. The book is a must because her lecture notes only give you a glimpse of the subject matter but her exams go much into depth. One can view the notes as a study guide but not as a replacement of the textbook.

Everything is done on mypearson website super easy quizzes if you pay attention to the videos. Flashcards provided on website--sample tests have some actual test questions. Questions are straight out of the book (mostly word for word). One project of raising a baby to a teen but it's easy- there are 6 writing sections to it with 3 paragraphs each.

Rashtian is honestly the best in my opinion. She is extremely helpful, her lectures are engaging so you are never bored, she has labs which are easy, and if you go to her office hours she's very approachable. Her tests are based on the material she covers in class. Extra credit is available and it does help.

I'm in love with this professor! She is one of the best psychology professors at CSUN. This was my second time talking her, and I received a A in both classes. You learn so much throughout the semester, and her assignments have clear instructions so if you know how to read and follow directions, then youre good. There are a lot of assignments, and at times it was a little overwhelming, but overall great class to take online. Definitely would recommend.

She is by far my favorite professor that I have had at CSUN so far. This class is a hard topic but you can just tell by her lectures that she is very passionate about teaching and being a social worker. She always give examples of cases which make it easier and better to understand than just by the book. She really cares about her students passing!

Amazing professor! Even for an online class, this was a great experience. Professor is very into the subject and has a lot of information to offer. Work is due at the same time every week, and the work load is very manageable. She offers several extra credit assignments, and you'd honestly have to try to fail; easy work, just keep on top of it!

The only problem I had was that some of the questions on the exams weren't on the study guide or we never learned about them. I rarely used the textbook, but I recommend getting it just because of the exams. Take her! She's awesome. Also gives extra credit!!

Very sweet and caring professor. This class was a hybrid class, meaning half was online and half in-class. It turned out to be better than I expected. Assignments, tests, and quizzes were done at home online. In class we would also have some assignments and pop quizzes that you could ace if you kept on top of the material. She was always helpful.

What an amazing professor. I have taken Dr. Rashtian for 3 classes and she was great in all of them. She presents material very clearly and follows the syllabus very closely. She is highly organized and if you put the effort, you can get an A. Her lectures are entertaining and participation is encouraged. Group activities are also common.

Class was wonderful. Attendance is not mandatory but if you miss you miss out on points for in class assignments SO it kinda matters. Very knowledgable and would take her class again hands down. The only thing that might be seen as a negative is all the small in class assignments that she makes you do every class but they are very fun!

Class was really fun. Easy points with class assignments. Everyone thinks it is their therapy session and discloses way too much information, but thats every psych class. She is super cool. Easy A as long as you do the study guides.

This course will help you understand if you want to become a social worker or not. Some of the material is very graphic because it deals with violence, abuse, and neglect of children. However, the professor applied the material to real life cases and made it tolerable. She will ensure that you are well informed. She is funny and amazing!!!

She likes to tell stories based on her experience working with clients that will keep you engaged. I would highly recommend taking any class that she teaches if you have the chance. He is an amazing professor

She gave her expectations for the course and many times gave two weeks to complete assignments. The tests were a little challenging, but she gave extra credit also. The material was interesting and the assignments really taught you the subject material. She was accessible via email or during office hours if students needed help.

Professor R, is really good. She listens to what you have to say and is honest as well. 4 tests that are challenging, and this class does take a lot of time but it is not hard. There is a lot of writing but there not paper style writing. Take her if you really want to learn something. There is some extra credit as well. Highly recommend her.

Not too hard, grades fairly and in a very timely manner. Responds quickly. You do have to write quite a bit.

This can be a difficult class to take as it relates to child abuse but she made it very interesting and gives you a social worker's point of view. Study guides were very helpful. 1 group project - a newspaper analysis, sounds more difficult than it really is. Attendance not mandatory but you don't want to miss any journals/work due end of class.

i would not say the class is hard at all, pretty straightforward. just do your readings and study guide & you should be fine. she does have some weekly assignments but theyre not difficult. as well as a "myvirtualteen" assignment that require some written work.

Covid review: she has good intentions and is passionate. She has social work experiment and is very good at lecturing about it. She isn't organized with assignments and exams. Lectures weren't that bad, had a few guest speakers. I do dislike that she had assignments open up at inconvenient times. She's not that bad as everyone says.

These reviews are so off. First of all, she is considerate enough to accept late assignments throughout the semester (but won't if you leave it to the very last day to turn things in). She was the only engaging prof (out of 6) since covid-19 hit. Class is not mandatory unless you want full participation points. Great lecturing & stories to tell.

Such as great professor, would allow late submissions but make sure to tell her through zoom and not through email to make sure she says yes. She's very big on self-care, so her assignmentS were easy compared to my other classes. Most assignments are opinion-based and she's an easy grader. Just don't slack off and CONSTANTLY CHECK CANVAS!!!

Loved this professor but the class is difficult due to the topics discussed. No final just 3 exams. Do pay attention in class and take good notes for the exams. Do not read off slides. Loved hearing about her experiences working outside of teaching. This class contains heavy topics that might be hard for some to hear.

Difficult class but an AMAZING professor who can get you through it. Grade consists of weekly journals which are incredibly easy, 4 exams (no final) but she offers a very helpful study guide every exam, and a Newspaper Analysis essay which you have all semester to work on. Hard, but very manageable class with a passionate professor.

This is my second time taking Dr. Rashtian and my first time taking her I wasn't the biggest fan, but now taking her again I really enjoy her and the class. There is a lot of hw but it's more like busy work and you are writing mainly about yourself. Responds to emails and gives great feedback. She offers extra credit on the exams.

Dr Rashtian is an extremely easy grader and even gives you feedback, in which you can respond to and resubmit said assignment for a better grade. Super easy class and the exams weren't extremely hard; slightly challenging. The only downside is a LOT of assignments but it's just busywork, nothing too intricate. Would def take her again.

She's very sweet and cares for her students. She lets us resubmit assignments to earn points we missed. Exams are not hard just make sure to study. Paper was a big part of the class so don't fall behind. She has clear grading criteria so make sure you follow it or you may lose points. I recommend her CADV 310 as she used to work as a social worker

Dr. Rashtian was a great instructor! I thoroughly enjoyed her online class. Participation is a must and a great way of showing your interest and knowledge on the subject. She provided sufficient extra credit and gives feedback on your assignments. With proper application and study, you should not have a problem passing this class.

The in class work is always easy. launchpad homework that you can get a 100 on every time, launchpad quiz that can be tough but the book has all the info. Lecture quiz info are all in her lecture notes. She has 400+ students so grading takes a bit. If you have an ounce of academic professionalism youll do fine. Shes a caring and involved professor

Andrea is a great professor. Gives out a few assignments each week, but shouldn't take too long to do each assignment. Has in-class activities during some lectures for a grade so make sure you attend. Also has a paper broken up into 3 parts, but not too hard. Overall, a caring and nice professor to have, recommend you take her.

Great option for an online class! There are a couple homework assignments due each week along with some class activities, nothing hard. There is a paper you have to do basically reflecting on your journey to reaching a goal you choose at the beginning of the semester (super simple), and that's basically it! Definitely recommend, sweet professor.

She is kind and understands students, she decided to not give any exams. We had to raise a virtual child (no difficulty), do 4-7 assignments each week (quiz, quiz from her recorded lecture, and read 1 chapter per week). It was pretty manageable, we had issue with McMillan (a website where we had to read chapters, take quizzes, and raise our child).

this class was really easy. all online based with a bunch of small assignments and quizzes, no exams. she uses a launchpad so a majority of the assignments are based off of the reading provided. submit everything on time, do the extra credit and its an easy A. I finished the class with a 101%.

This class was a rollercoaster. Lots of stress so it's recommended to practice self-care and work on your papers ahead of time and DO NOT wait till the last minute to complete. There are times when you might not get your emails answered since it's a huge class (professor please get a T.A. who is a graduate student) so be aware of that.

People complain about the workload and I wonder how they would survive attending a university outside of America. The assignments are easy and very interesting, and it is a 400-level course, so don't expect one assignment per week. But again, very interesting assignments, most are self-reflection. I would gladly take this class again!

Make sure to read the modules to see what hw is due that week and go through McMillan portal for the work that needs to be done there. She gives alot of assignments the last 2 weeks. Book is online and $100. Turn in your work early she lets you redo and resubmit. I didn't have a bad experience but every person is different.

Take her. Very interesting lectures, it was early in the morning but I loved her lectures. There are a lot of quizzes and small assignments but she gives 2 weeks to complete them and NO EXAMS. So I think it's fair game.

All bad reviews by anyone this semester have been planned through Discord by a group of lazy students who want the grade but don't want to do the work. They love talking badly about her because they have to show up for a class that THEY signed up for. You all need to grow up and take responsibility for yourselves. The class isn't even hard, AT ALL.

Great professor. Do not trust any negative reviews. She gives busy work that creates better comprehension of the subject but it's so easy. The negative reviews are from students who are lazy and did not want to go to class nor wanted to do the easy work. They felt entitled to a good grade without putting in the work.

I would say even though she had a lot of assignments due every week they were mostly busy work and very manageable, I did dislike the time she gave us for in class assignments I wish it was longer and instructions were more clear. Other than that the class was very easy to get an A in

I took Motivation Psych 352 during spring online. She does in class activities, lots of assignments but pretty easy. She is a hard grader but the work is easy. Lectures were kind of boring and not really motivational because it felt the topic was being repeated everyday. It was easy class if you do the assignments, would take again.

I took her for psy 352 and psy 313 and she was so easy. People complaining are just lazy because i found both these classes very easy. Time management is key. You just need to put the work in which people have a hard time doing so.

Doctor Rashtian was an amazing professor! she's easy to get ahold of through her email. However, I like to get ahead in my classes and I felt like Doctor didn't like that. She would always give me a point lower and ask me to add more detail every time I turned in something early. Although, I plan on taking another one of her courses next fall.

I am enjoying this class. It truly is motivational, and I'm learning so much about myself.. At first, I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of homework, but then I realized how useful it was for my emotional and physical well-being. Her feedback inspired me to turn my life around! The class will help you learn some cool motivational tricks.

She does have a lot of busy work, but it is not hard and actually makes you apply the knowledge you learned. Her directions can kind of be confusing, but she is responsive to emails and office hours. Not a hard course, just time consuming. Opportunities for extra credit. Expect 2-5 assignments a week and a 3 part paper.

I would take her again! She's amazing and answered all of my emails with questions about the assignments and papers. There are 4 exams which are a little difficult, but I did well on some! There are three parts of papers.

She's a great professor. She's very understanding and flexible. Although she gives a few assignments each week, they're never overwhelming and are completely manageable. I would take again for sure.
