Andrea is a little...quirky sometimes, but she can make an econ class really fun - something that isn't easily done. the class is somewhat challenging, but going to class really helps - she explains things much better than the book, and she reviews material constantly
You know how most classes no matter how many times you look at the clock, it doesnt seem to move! Well this class isnt like that! It goes by so fast! She makes class fun and puts econmics into terms that are easy for the students to understand, though the class is still challenging. However, I do not like that she randomly calls on people!
Andrea is an amazing person and she is SO willing to help. Tests and quizzes are hard, but anyone can pass with her help that she has to offer! She makes the large lecture hall of upwards of 150 students seem like a small dynamic classroom of 15. I learned SO much in her class and she is by far the best professor I have had.
Do the readings and go to class. With that it is pretty easy. Missing a reading or class leaves you pretty lost.
GREAT teacher, difficult class
Andrea is one of the BEST prof. I have EVER had at BGSU. She is so willing to help and she LOVES ECON and helping others to understand everything. Exams are hard. I went to all review sessions and studied hard and only got a C but I learned so much.
sHE'S GREAT!
Andrea is a great professor! She loves economics and is willing to help outside of class. While this class was somewhat difficult, Andrea is one of my favorite professors at BGSU. And attendance is mandatory. Read what she tells you in class and you will be fine!
Andrea is probably one of my favorite professors thus far at BGSU. While I was not a big fan (at all) of economics, Andrea made it very interesting. She is incredibly helpful and wants everyone to have a firm understanding by the time the semester is up. I got a 33% on my first exam and ended up getting a B in the course. YOU CAN DO IT! She's great
Andrea was an amazing professor!
One of the best teachers I have had! Super helpful and goes above and beyond for everyone. Great style of teaching and makes Econ super easy to understand!
SO this is one of the best teachers I've ever had in my life! She's helpful, explains things clearly, simple assignments and she's SO helpful! She lets you call her home phone till 9pm! BEST TEACHER EVER!!!
Andrea was one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. ECON isn't really my strong suit and it showed. There's quizzes almost every week, and the group projects are tedious, but the points are helpful in the end. Andrea's wording is really confusing on tests and quizzes and you need to explain a LOT. Also, read because she'll call on you.
She's my favorite professor. Challenging course with a lot of work, but she does an excellent job on her lectures. Provides great real life examples and is very humorous/quirky. She's super nice and cares about her students. She knows what she's talking about and makes economics fun. I always looked forward to going to her class.
This class is by far one of the hardest classes you'll take. Not only does she teach you at a 1st grade level she makes the exam almost impossible to pass. To top it off her classes have over 250 people in it. She also rambles on and on throughout class without covering the necessary material for the quizzes and exams. I wouldn't recommend it.
She is simply amazing
Very hard class. Nicest and most personable teacher I have had, yet this is one of the hardest classes ever. Study, study, study.
She is such a sweet lady. Great teacher. She remembered everyones name and the class was huge! If you try, you will do well.
LOVED her as a teacher! Very helpful and very clear. Exams are hard but she curves them in the class' best interest. Offers in class "group projects" which at the end translate into extra credit. Gives quizzes and homework but tells you way in advance. Try and you will do well. Take her!!
Andrea is so sweet, and so helpful. She is so willing to help no matter what. However, the class is definitely one of the hardest I've ever taken. Make sure you have the book, study hard, take notes, come to class, etc. I probably wouldn't recommend this class to anyone... exams are hard. However, Andrea is one of my favorite teachers.
Andrea is a very interesting professor. Very kind, and really helpful outside of class, but the course material is intense, especially for a 2000 level course. Study hard, read, and show up to class. Go to her office hours, she will help you through the homeworks if you are lost. Be prepared to work hard.
Andrea is perhaps one of the better profs out there. Anyone who says otherwise is a half-wit who isnt willing to work.
While she is extremely easy going and kind, this was the HARDEST class that I've ever taken in college. She is willing to work with you, but the material is INTENSE!!! I wouldn't recommend taking her class unless you are truly passionate and in love with economics. You're better off with a different teacher.
Professor Schneider is an amazing professor, the class is very difficult. You must pay attention and take very good notes in order to make sure you get the material. She recognizes that the material is hard, makes it clear and is more than willing to help you if you ask for it.
While she is very helpful, and a caring lady.. the exams are tough. Make sure you study a lot for this class.
One of the nicest professors on this campus. Econ is a hard subject, but she makes it easier for you to understand.
I LOVED HER! She's an amazing teacher and is always willing to help, even in a huge lecture class. Everyone said this class was difficult, but I went to class because I enjoyed it and I got an A. Thought it was pretty interesting, she's definitely not a boring teacher.
Amazing teacher! Very helpful. Sends out a class email after each lecture, which is helpful if you miss it, and tells you what to read for next class. Really cares about her students, and wants you to succeed. She made me enjoy economics.
Exams are very tough. Essays are worth a lot of points and they are graded insanely tough. This class was taught at an intense level for non-Econ majors. She is a nice prof but I would definitely avoid her if you want to get an A.
Very energetic, helpful, encouraging, funny, and positive. By far one of the best instructors I've had at BGSU. Although I didn't get the highest grade, I really enjoyed having her as an instructor. Tests are tough, group projects, quizzes, and reading the book are the main components. Definitely take her and you won't regret it.
Andrea is an awesome teacher, one of the best teachers i have had. she is very energetic, which makes the class much more enjoyable. She is very passionate about econ and makes the lectures easy to pay attention to. Exams are tough, but there is a lot of points you can get through homework and group work.
Andrea's lectures are engaging & she is ALWAYS available for questions. All of her lectures, quizzes, homework, readings, & group projects are relevant to the exams. She emails a summary after every class. Her exams are tough, but she wants students to think critically & not regurgitate the information. You work for your "A", but you learn a lot.
While she clearly seems to have a great understanding of her topic and is passionate for her field, doesn't seem to know how to teach or run a class. Never gives students updates on grades so all semester is spent guessing what grade you need on the next test to score higher. Lectures are confusing and seemed to try to cover too much at once
Andrea is a sweetheart, best teacher at BGSU. I'm not a fan of economics, but had to take it for my major. She really does want you to pass the class, but she understands that economics is tough. She gives a lot of opportunities to redo your test scores. I probably should have studied a little bit, but since I didn't, I got an 88 in the class.
She is a very hard grader
She's the teacher you wish taught every class you are in. She will always make sure you get any help you need. Some reviews say she doesn't upgrade you on your grade, but if you ask her, she'll let you know. Andrea is always happy and excited and you'll love it
Great professor. She really cares about your performance. She can be a tough grader but she just holds students to a high standard. No economics class is easy but she makes macro easier than micro was with Alamina. Read class emails! It really helps you understand the next lecture. I will look for her in my intermediate class I have to take.
I've never had a professor who cares as much about her students as Andrea does. She knows EVERYONES name in a 250 person lecture. She offers extra study sessions before tests and lots of office hours for extra help. She ACTUALLY TEACHES you Econ and is so incredibly nice! Tough grader but if you do the work she won't let you fail. One of the best.
Did not like taking her class at all. If I knew she was going to expect everyone to read before coming to class just in case she calls on you, I would've never taken her. If you can find someone else to take DO IT. Not a fun class either.
Very long lectures that can get confusing and the tests are really hard. However if you ask for help she is definitely willing to be there for you and is always understanding when issues arise. I had something come up and missed an exam and after I explained she immediately helped me set up a time to make it up and made sure i was ready for it
Andrea as a very nice personality but her class was horrible. The test were veyr hard and with trick questions and she doesn't keep track of you grade, the only way you know is if you keep track yourself. Overall I suggest taking someone else if you want a good grade
Andrea is one of the best professors I have had. The material can be difficult but she makes it as easy as can be. You have to put in effort, do the readings, do the homework and show up to class but I would definitely recommend Andrea. She is always willing to take the time to help you.
Andrea is a very nice lady but for the sake of your gpa/general well being do not take her class. Hardest class I've taken by far, she does not explain well or provide extra credit. You must do good on every homework/quiz/test in order to pass
Andrea is one of the most organized and friendliest professors I have had in college so far. She gets to know everyones name quickly so you do not just feel like a number. Quizzes and exams are extremely hard and the study guides do not reflect them. It is more of application and critical thinking than memorizing.
Andrea is one of my favorite professors. I had to work harder in her class than others, but there really isn't a way around that if you're teaching economics. To me, she made the subject pleasurable due to her upbeat and positive attitude. She truly wants her students to succeed and gives extra credit and optional review sessions outside of class.
Econ Is really hard! Test are almost impossible
Andrea knows all names! ECON is a hard subject (she teaches it very well). The test are HARD-she wants application of the subject not just terms. She expects you to keep track of your grade but she keeps track just ask her. Before each test, she shows what letter grade matches to how many points. I highly recommend her, I have learn a ton!

Andrea is the nicest instructor ever and she truly cares about her students! Her tests /quizzes are extremely difficult so make sure you are asking questions and getting the help you need. The exams are not just memorizing the material you actually need to be able to apply the concepts! Sit in the front of the room so you can see!
Andrea is such a sweet lady and actually cares about her students. Her class is very difficult but if you put the time in and show up to class, you will be fine. I failed the first exam and I tried very hard and ended up with a B in the class. I learned a lot and I would definitely recommend her!!
Though it was a very large lecture she really took the time to try and learn everyone's name. There are few quizzes and three large exams that make up the grade with very few extra credit opportunities. She was a tough grader when it came down to the specifics. Though I got a B+ in the class, i walked out knowing the material like i aced it.
Get ready for the exams
Andrea is easily one of the best professors that I've ever had. She took the time to learn every students name and was very thorough during her lectures. She always answered questions and curved grades when necessary. That being said, her exams were crazy difficult. But you'll be fine if you study and do the homework and put in effort.
Andrea is one of my favorite professors at BGSU. She really cares about her students and will take the time to help anyone that needs it. Her quizzes and tests can be tough, but if you take the time to learn the concepts you will be fine. At the end of the day, I actually learned econ and can hold a conversation on the topic because of her.
Tests are hard but she helps you a lot. Highly recommend. I got a C and I probably should've failed the class. She really curves and makes sure everyone has a chance to pass.
Very tough class, her lectures are often very boring and hard to get any useful information out of. Its important to go to class though because she does alot of group projects and quizzes that are in class. Shes a pretty tough grader too. Most of her homework/quizzes are the same as they have been for years, so find someone who has taken the class!
Hardest test you will ever take and does not teach very well. She is a very nice professor. I would recommend to not take her and find another professor if possible.
she was a very intersting teacher and I understood everything we talked about and worked really hard but nearly failed just about every test which was really frustrating. Tests are worded weirdly.
Andrea is a harsh grader. She barely gives out homework and there is no good way to help boost your grade if you fail the tests. She also has her own grading scale which is impossible to bare with when you want to know where you stand in the class. She also doesn't use canvas. You'll be reading the book if you don't understand. Horrible professor.
Andrea was great at explaining concepts & gave useful life examples. There were 3 exams, a small reading quiz each week, and a few inclass group projects that made up the grading. Her exams were hard but if you keep up with reading & take class notes you can do very well. Also go to her review sessions & take advantage of her extra point quizzes.
This is the hardest class and professor Ive ever taken. I feel like I would be able to pass this class if it was the only one I was taking. There is almost no possible way to balance this class and still be a full-time student. I don't think she understands that we have other classes as well and it is so frustrating.
This is an extremely hard class and an extremely hard subject, no lie. However, I learned an incredible amount in the class and Andrea is always available and more than willing to help with any questions. Any professor is going to be tough in Macro econ. Not a lot of Homework but exams are very difficult
Andrea is very passionate about Economics. It truly is her life and she is a very knowledgeable professor. Although, this course is extremely hard and it is very application based. Just simply understanding the definitions or memorizing notes won't cut it. Real world application is everything and getting a passing grade was truly a challenge...
Andrea was a super sweet professor. I understand that economics is a hard subject in general, so it wasn't anything unexpected . I struggled in her class and could barely recover by the end of the semester. I wouldn't take one of her classes again just because her tests and quizzes were so difficult. Nearly impossible to get an A or a B.
My experience with Andrea Schneider is that you really need to attend the lectures In the mornings. It is a very strict class if you do not attend and you will fail without Leniency. Homework was minimal, but if you do it all you'll be fine. If you do not you Fail. She taught me one thing and that was to always read from the left.
I took Andrea for Econ 2030 and it was probably the hardest class I have taken. You learn a lot from her lectures but her quizzes and tests are extremely difficult. This professor requires a lot of outside learning and extra work. She does help prep for exams but she is a very harsh grader and is not afraid to take away points.
Im in her class right now. Straight up not having a good time.
Really nice lady, but her quizzes and exams are EXTREMELY difficult. If you are not a good test taker, I sincerely would advise not taking Andrea. You will learn a lot. Her lectures are easy to understand and honestly can be fun, but for whatever reason her tests are by far the hardest I've ever taken, class average hovers around 50% on them.
Her exams and quizzes are impossible and she takes off points very easy. Shes the nicest woman ever, but her class is so so so difficult.
Andrea is super sweet. I hate math and Intro to Econ sounded like my worst nightmare. Though I certainly wouldn't say I enjoyed this class, there's so many different ways to learn the material (lecture, online homework, paper homework, group projects, etc.) that it's almost impossible to not learn anything. It was hard, but not awful.
Andrea is very passionate and knowledgable about economics and wants everyone to learn a lot from her class. However, her grading makes the class a lot more difficult and the scale she uses is very confusing. Exams, quizzes, and homework are all difficult and quizzes are once a week, so I suggest going to class as much as possible.
For a professor who wants students to succeed, she doesn't show it. If you so much as use a synonym to the diction show forces you to use, good luck. Most people drop out of the class, or fail and retake with another professor. Does not matter one's knowledge of econ, even when you're right you're wrong. Take my advice, select another professor.
There is no attendance policy but it was hard to get caught up when I skipped. But I also thought that this class was fairly easy although so many people were failing. If you paid attention and did the reading the class was an easy A. There is so much extra credit opportunity after each test that I ended up getting over a 100 on both exams.
Her quizzes and tests were unbelievably difficult. Even if you understood the material that was covered they were hard. She is great at teaching and helps her students in any way she can. But its extremely difficult to pass her classes.
Im not a bad student when it comes to econ and try to comprehend everything that it taught. It doesnt matter if you know what youre doing, she words all the questions on tests and quizzes to make them impossible. Most likely going to have to take the class again because of the teacher.
Not sure how I got an A but I did. Extremely difficult class that you must utilize office hours to do well. Couldn't find a nicer person and you can tell she's great at interacting with students.
DO NOT take this professor. Shes literally the worst. On the final exam there was over 30 points for extended response and she only gave me 8 points because i didnt word them the way she wanted regardless if they were correct. If doesnt matter if things are right, its her way or no way. Keep in mind i thought i did alright on that exam.
Worst Teacher I have ever had
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! Almost impossible to study for her tests and quizzes. Even if you understand lectures, you will not do well on them.
Andrea is one of my favorite professors I've ever had. She puts in so much effort to provide a variety of material and make it understandable. She is also the nicest. Put in equal effort to learn and you will be fine. Don't listen to the bad reviews. They are probably the ones who didn't show up to class.
This class was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. Even if you get the materials taught during the lecture you will still have difficulty during her exams. Each exam requires lock-down browser + webcam which catches even the slightest noise or movement which can be tedious. Overall, I would not take another class taught by her.
There are lots of tests and homework assignments that require a good understanding of the topics. Go to class and pay attention. If you do, you'll have no problem passing. These bad reviews are probably from students who did not go to class.
I gave her a 2 because she is one of the nicest professors i have ever had. She does care for her students and wants them to succeed, but her teaching style is what makes her material so borderline impossible to understand, even if you do everything in your power to understand. I would not recommend.
The absolute worst class I've ever taken. Do ay and everything you can to not have her as your professor.
Don't listen to the negative reviews! If you go to class and actually try YOU WILL BE FINE. Her lectures were really interesting and her assortment of assignments made it easy to learn. She IS a tough grader, but it's so she can offer extra credit to make you put in a little more effort. You will really learn something if you take her.
She cares greatly about her students but it is impossible to get good grades because of the way her test and quizzes are worded. she teaches very well but her quizzes and tests are impossible to get a decent grade on.
*hybrid class* Andrea is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. She makes lectures interesting, and is really good at teaching the material. She does a lot of in class group work for participation that can help bring up your grade. Her tests were hard, but if you read the textbook and went to lecture, passing is not an issue.
Exams are super hard and make or break your grade. Do not reccomend taking because she makes the exams difficult on purpose and studying does not help.
Andrea is my favorite professor that I have had at BGSU so far. She cares about her students a lot, and also loves economics. You can tell that she is very passionate about teaching. This class is not hard at all to pass. She offers multiple opportunities for extra help and extra credit.
Andrea cares so much about her students and is very passionate about Economics. She gives great lectures and makes class enjoyable. You will have to spend time outside of class to do well in this course. If you read the textbook and pay attention, you will be successful.
This prof uses lock down browser and webcam and does not explain material well. She gives too many quizzes that tear down your grade. She talks to fast and goes over things quickly. It is hard to keep up with everything. Exams are long and very difficult.
Do NOT take her class if you are a non business major. She cars a lot about her students and does a good job explaining things. The issue is her tests and quizzes are impossible. The wording makes it so hard to understand. She also wants everything in HER terms. Even if you got something right it must be in her terms. Class just sucks.
The only time I did not show up to class was because I was quarantined. So even if you show up, this class is still very hard. She is very passionate but the quizzes and tests are very hard. She also does not weight anything or put in extra credit until the very end of semester so it could show you are failing her class in canvas which is upsetting
I LOVED Andrea as a person. She is truly lovely. However, the class was a huge challenge. There is some extra credit, and it is not put in until last minute. She has her own points system, so it appears you are doing worse in Canvas then what you are actually doing. Andrea will help you if you ask. Make sure you go to class.
I went into this class with 27 other kids from my major and only 2 of them passed. Unclear what she wants for an answer and prepare to get a 60% at best on exams the averages were 53 and then 49. I won't lie if you get her just drop the class and try to get another prof for your own sanity.
Andrea used real life examples & applied the concepts we were learning. She wanted her students to do well, and there were many opportunities for help. One thing to note is that the 10 point quizzes were difficult for me personally. That being said, attending class will provide clarity on this topics, and outside instruction also helps. She's great
The class was very hard but she did her best to help you understand it. If you study and take every assignment seriously you should pass. If I had any other professor I feel like I would not have learned as much as she taught
Andrea is a great person and a great professor. During her lectures she encourages us to participate and helps us to understand the material come exam time. She uses real life examples to explain the concept at hand. Attend her review sessions before exams because she will go in depth on any question you have which will help you pass the exam.
THE BEST PROFESSOR I'VE HAD!!! Andrea really cares for her students and is always there if you need help. The class itself is hard, but she does a great job explaining everything. If you take the notes she rights on the board, you will do great in the class.
She's a good teacher but she has high expectations.
Andrea is very passionate about economics and very nice but do NOT take this class. The quizzes and test are trick questions and no matter how much you study for an exam chances are you will get at or below a 60. This is overall an extremely difficult class and I recommend dropping at all costs if you have her. I recommend going to the SI sessions.
Andrea is an incredibly nice person but an extremely tough professor. Her quizzes and homeworks are insanely difficult and I never did good on them. This class is vocabulary heavy and missing one class will royally screw you over. Go to as many SI sessions as you can. Her exams are graded very tough, often you'll miss points on silly vocab errors.
Andrea is an interesting professor. At the beginning of the semester, I didn't like her or her class but by the end of the semester, I loved both. I never used the SI sessions but other I talked to said they were very helpful. Correction quizzes are important as well because they can turn an exam grade from a C to an A.
She is a great person and cares about her students well being. On the other hand, her class is very hard. Homework was okay but her tests were extremely difficult. They are nothing like we do in class or on our homework. In my opinion, it seemed most people were struggling. There are ways to get extra credit and get help if needed.
Andrea is a great professor but tends to be an extremely tough grader. Exams are next to impossible but the test corrections help a ton.
Andrea & her class are awesome! I never thought I would enjoy an economics course, but here I am. Yes, it's a hard class, but she is extremely organized & always clear with what she wants. She gives helpful feedback on exams, test corrections, & holds review sessions. She offers ways to boost your grade & truly cares! She made lectures actually fun
Andrea is a very good teacher, however, her class is extremely difficult. You think you know all of the material, and then the tests get plopped in front of you and you realize you're doomed. This is definitely a class to take if you are an econ major, because it is extremely in-depth. All of the quizzes are online, but there is a lockdown browser.
Genuinely, Andrea is a great person and you can tell she's very passionate about economics as a whole. The problem is her tests and quizzes. I would sit in class thinking I understood the material but when I went to apply it on homework, tests, and quizzes, it was almost nothing like we did in class.
Andrea Schneider has been the best professor I've ever had at BGSU. Her class is definitely challenging but if you go to her office hours and ask her questions, you'll understand the material much better. She cares for her students and gives them so many opportunities to succeed. :)
Andrea was an awesome professor, she really does a great job teaching such a tough class. I'd highly recommend showing up to class and attending the review sessions if you're struggling. There were 3 tests including the final, multiple quizzes, and various other homework assignments: lots of opportunities to earn points.
She's good at giving feedback but she's a tough grader. If you don't have exactly what she had in mind she'll take off a lot of points. I would go to her and ask what's wrong she would tell me an answer the same as mine just worded slightly different. Wouldn't even get partial credit. I'm not good at econ but overall this is a hard class.
Andrea is absolutely amazing!! Her class is tough but she does a great job of going in depth with the lectures to make sure you really understand the content. Learn her vocab as that is the easiest way to do well on the essay questions of the exam. She makes herself available to help whenever you need. I recommend flashcards for learning terms.
Economics or English? I understand most classes require you to read the book to understand the key concepts which is fine. This class however, is extremely lecture heavy and the homework, quizzes, and tests cover nothing that's in the book. If you word a sentence differently than she does, expect to get points off.
Professor Schneider Is an amazing teacher and cares a lot about her students. Her class is tough but you get what you put into it. I recommend having good in-depth notes and remembering her key phrases and definitions. She does a great job at explaining concepts and helping outside of class. I still keep in contact with her, she's great.
Andrea cares a lot about her students and understands we have lives outside of class. But attend as many classes as you can!! She covers lots of important information in every class. Many opportunities to raise grades and offers extra credit quizzes after exams over the most commonly missed concepts and tells you what to study for them!
One of the best teachers I've ever had. The material is difficult, but Andrea give you all of the available resources to succeed. Show up, take notes, study hard, and take advantage of office hours and you will get an A. She explains the material extremely clearly and is very willing to help students understand. Its hard, but she's a fantastic prof
Andrea is an awesome person and wants her students to succeed. She will always help you, and, before tests, will hold Zoom Meetings for review so that you can get extra credit for attending. Always be in class, study hard, and you will get a good grade. She is a tough grader, but ultimately, it helps you learn the material very well.
Andrea is the worst teacher I've had in my life. The class average on our exams this year was roughly 55%, but she bumps the grades up by 2 letter grades to make it look like kids are passing. She is failing students and failing to do her job. She needs to re-evaluate her ability to teach and if she can't, BGSU should remove her from her position.
Andrea is one of my favorite professors I have taken at BG. She is tough but will explain things over and over if you need it. I genuinely had so much fun in both of her micro and macro classes. Go to SI sessions if you are struggling for extra points. Make organized notes to help for better understanding. Confusing class but Andrea helps.
I personally love and respect Andrea's teaching and her as a person, I just don't think her level of teaching is feasible for everybody. I am not a good test taker, and I struggled a lot with that aspect of class. However Andrea is a very good professor, she makes things very clear and will always offer to help you in multiple ways.
2nd time taking the course. Andrea is a passionate professor who is infamous for her tough grading and fail rate. Several students per class fail/drop the course because of this. She is accessible outside of class, and it is encouraged to USE YOUR RESOURCES. Go to the SI Sessions/tutoring. Participate for extra credit. STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!
Great person. This class was rough. Overly difficult. Curriculum needs to change. No time for questions. Awesome Professor but the course work and the speed at which it goes makes it awful.
Andrea's class is tough but rewarding. Attend every lecture, take detailed notes, and use resources like Unstuckstudy to nail the content. With hard work, you'll ace this course.
Andrea is a great person. She does a great job of explaining material. But this class is very difficult. She does give many opportunities for extra credit though, take advantage of those.
I 100% agree with the comment underneath mine. Andrea is an amazing professor, that is of course to those who actually do their work and dont want the easy way out for credit. grow up
Andrea is one of my least favorite professors I have taken at BG. She is tough. I genuinely had no fun in both of her micro and macro classes. Don't go SI sessions if you are struggling because it's just group work nonsense.
I took her for Econ 2020 and while I was struggling A LOT, she was an amazing resource to get back on track. There is a lot of material covered, and it can get a little confusing, but she was very accessible in her office hours, and she had a lot of other tutoring options for students. She knows it's difficult which is why she helps however she can
Go to every class and you'll be fine
She was my least favorite professor. Every time I was struggling, she wouldn't explain things differently and would continuously repeat herself. I personally wouldn't take her again. The outside-of-class help she offers is just group work and repetition.
Professor Schneider's problem is her way of grading, she's very nitpicky and will give you an exam that has questions worth 3 points and take 1-2 off each one because you didn't use a specific term or didn't cover every single detail to exist out in the ether the class averages are very low on exams and quizzes i.e. under 70 always.
While Professor Schneiders class is very difficult, I would recommend it to any student that actually wants to learn. She gives you all the resources to succeed and genuinely wants the best for each student. shes very generous with the grading scale and gives lots of opportunity to regain points. Attend the SI and review sessions and youll do fine!
She is a very nice professor but her teaching style is not for me. I didin't figure out how to do her work effectively until the last 2 weeks of the semester. If you're looking for a challenge, take her.
She had a hard class 99% of the time until the end when she pulled off a generational clutch up with the point grading system and most who would've failed ended up passing. W prof!
The majority of the grade is based on the three tests you take throughout the semester. Honestly, if you usually achieve well academically in other classes, you will do fine. Slack, however, then you'll find it hard to catch up! Attend SI sessions and snag any extra credit opportunities you can. She is a very kind and understanding professor
Andrea makes a hard subject make sense. She involves the class in her lectures to help you better understand the material, and she gives great feedback. However, her exams are extremely tough, but her correction quizzes are a saving grace, so make sure to utilize this second chance wisely, and you will do well.
Her quizzes and exams are challenging, but she's genuinely invested in her students' learning. She also provides good opportunities to recover your grade after a tough exam.
This course is so hard. Exams and quizzes take up most of the grade and are very very hard. Good luck
Professor Schneider is great; however, her classes are extremely hard. Quizzes are lockdown browser. Exams are in person. She makes a very hard topic interesting, but her exams and quizzes are extremely difficult as they are application based. She really cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. Gives makeup quizzes after exams.
Andrea is amazing! She was always very helpful and organized. The material for the class in general is difficult regardless of who you take it with, but Andrea goes into depth to help you fully understand it. As long as you attend the lectures regularly, study, and GO TO THE SI SESSIONS, you will be fine. Definitely recommend!!
She is a great teacher, but showing up to each class mentally is required, not a ton of busy work but you need to listen to her lectures. If you pay attention and submit everything, easy to walk away with a B.
