TAKE HER! TAKE HER! TAKE HER! Best professor at Molloy hands down. The only sad thing is she is an adjunct professor and doesn't teach much classes, otherwise I would take her for all my classes. Really she is amazing and EASY professor. She gives great study guides, no way you can fail. She made the class really enjoyable.
Such an amazing teacher! Cares about her students and tries her best to help them pass. She even offered her help in any other nursing class! Her tests are fairly easy, tells you what to study. no surprises! Her projects are fun and easy, gives plenty of time to get them done. Easy grader! Always got 100s on her projects.
She is the sweetest person. She knows what she's talking about and actually LOVES what she does. Which makes her class enjoyable to sit through for almost 3 hours. Pay attention to her examples during class and use her blueprints for each exam to go through chapters in textbook. Two easy projects too! She's my favorite by far!! TAKE HER!
Best professor at Molloy.
This professor is AMAZING. I cannot thank her enough. Pharm can be a very challenging and stressful class but not with this professor. She is the ONLY pharm professor at molloy that actually teaches the math. She spends equal amount of time with content info and math. She truly cares for her students and wants everyone to do well.
Honestly this woman is a blessing and a true definition of what a true nurse is. She truly cares about her students and hears you out. The only teacher who teaches math ad makes sure you understand it to the core. The content material you have to read on your own she wants you to think and listen to her stories because it helps on the exams.
Really really sweet woman. Gives out a blueprint before each exam that tells you what's going to be on each one. That being said, do not study only the blueprint. Read through the slides. She puts quite a few 'select all that apply' questions on her exams, so get used to those. 2 fairly easy projects that are grade boosters. Would take her again!!
Wonderful professor, her power points can be really long & seem unnecessary but she is thorough. Study chapter test bank ?s, & fundamentals ATI practice ?s, they go along with the material. She has 3 tests & final, three projects (1 mini index card) that are NOT hard. Grade boosters. She cares about her students, especially if we were exhausted.
She is such a sweet lady, fair when it comes to exams (will curve/drop questions when need be), but she's not going to prepare you for drugs because her focus is mainly on math and passing the proficiency test you'll take. She is laid-back, so approachable, kind, and funny. I wish I had a bit more of a groundwork on drugs, but I'm happy I took her.
Prof. Spatarella is great! She is extremely understanding, she gets that she is not the only class. Her tests can be a bit tricky because sometimes her notes contradict themselves. She is an extremely fair grader on all supplemental projects.
I love Professor Spatarella! If you don't pass, you're not studying and reading. There should no reason to fail this class. She's very helpful. She lets out early sometimes. There are 3 exams, 2 projects & a final. Very approachable & definitely not a pushover. I hate projects, but they weren't bad. Helps your grade. Study & record.
Honestly this woman is amazing. She actually teaches and doesnt just ramble off PowerPoint slides. Tests are straight from notes. Projects are easy. She actually wants everyone to do well. Take her!
Prof Spatarella is a very sweet woman and she really cares about her students. However she spends too much time on math (except IV which is very important on the proficiency) rather than stressing drugs. If you're bad at math definitely consider her but you'd have to study drugs on your own to not fall behind in future classes.
Great nurse. You can tell she really cares about her students but she focuses too much on the math. I dont feel prepared for my future pharm classes at all. If you really suck at math take her, but you wont learn much unless you read on your own (which will be strictly for you bc her test are from the notes). Tests were not straight forward.
AMAZING WOMAN! Had her for pharm 1 and 139 and would take her for every class if I could! Wants everyone to do well and minimizes stress levels. Do the orange ATI book while your in pharm 1 so when you take pharm 2 you are prepared and do well on ATI content mastery!
Great professor
Professor Spatarella is an amazing professor! I enjoyed being in her class. She is very fair when it comes to her exams. One thing that I would change is that she pays a lot of attention to math proficiency. The drugs not so much. The drugs only come at the end of the semester. Other than that, shes a gem!
I love this woman. She is so down to earth and funny and doesn't want to make the semester harder than it has to be. Definitely used the textbook for studying for tests. Is easy to talk to if you're having issues (even if non class related).
I love professor spatarella. She REALLY focuses on math so if you're weak in that area I definitely recommend taking her. She does very thorough test reviews for studying, but reading the textbook only helps. She doesn't go very med heavy which could be good or bad depending how you look at it.
I cannot recommend Professor Spatarella enough! You can tell she really loves what she does, cares about her students & it's inspiring! Understands that students are stressed and tired. Tells what slides are important & gives blueprints for (3) tests + final. 1 Paper & project that are easy grade boosters. Study & you'll do great, she's the best!
Easy A
Easy class
I love her, I wish I was able to take more classes with her. Textbook is really only useful for the prototype drugs. Pharm was one of the classes I was afraid of last semester and she made everything simple. She also focuses on the math which helps prepare you for the med calc proficiency test. She'll give you feedback and is very open.
The absolute sweetest, kindest, most realistic professor I have had so far. Prof Spatarella really cares about her students and sets realistic expectations for us. 139 is a pretty simple and dry class to begin with, but she makes so so much more manageable and enjoyable. I wish I could take her for every nursing class. TAKE HER! You wont regret it
I will forever be grateful taking Professor Spatarella. She was a great professor and really broke down the information that was given to us. I'm happy I took her class or I don't think I would've passed pharm 1. Take her if you want someone to actually TEACH you the material.
Prof. Spatarella was such a caring professor. I loved her class and she encourages participation in such a positive way. She is easy to talk to and understands how difficult the program could be and is willing to help you! TAKE HER if you want to learn pharm1 and actually teach you the math AND the material! 10/10 would take again
Great teacher who cares for her students. Focuses on the math heavily in the beginning to ensure the class passed the medication proficiency. Went heavier on the medications for the final but the questions are fair if you study the medication prototypes and some of the nursing interventions from her powerpoint. Overall great teacher.
This woman is an angel! Tells you what's important & what is going to be on tests. Children's book & paper that are easy grade boosters. You can tell from day 1 she loves what she does, she truly cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. Always available for help even if it's for another course! Study & you should get an A, Take her!
This professor is the true definition of an angel. She is so sweet, caring, down to earth, funny and amazing. She truly loves teaching and cares about her students. She tells you what to focus on the tests and final. Her tests are very easy. There's no reason anyone shouldn't get an A with just bare minimal effort
Love her. She's so sweet, caring, & easy to talk to. She really wants her students to do well. She focused a lot more on math than drugs. Her first two tests were mostly on math & concepts. Her final was more on drugs but not too heavy. Pharm is difficult but she made it more enjoyable. I wish I could take her again for Pharm 2 :(
She is really sweet and the class is straightforward. Personally, I used the review sheets and slides to study. The test aren't too tricky and the projects are grade boosters. I bought the textbooks but never used them :(
She is nice sweet lady but her powerpoints DO NOT correlate her tests. She tells you after the test well you shoulda read the textbook. Her questions dont have much to do with anything and dont make sense. Im not even learning. She puts stuff on tests that was never even talked about. Shes nice and trys but stay clear
I enjoyed taking Prof. Spatarella for 139. Everything was pretty much clear cut and the tests were fair. Her lectures are PowerPoint but she makes it tolerable with short stories in between. I recommend taking her if you want a professor who doesnt BS and cares about her students.
The first semester at molloy is not easy. I took her for 139 and 239. Make your life easier and take her! She is absolutely amazing and understanding. If you want someone that actually teaches the information so you learn and remember I'd highly recommend her. I wouldn't have made it through this semester without her.
It was her first semester teaching MS 2. I would recommend taking a professor with more experience on the class. Her exams were difficult compared to the information reviewed in class. However, the final was a GIFT. She means well and hopefully will get more situated with the class. Overall I got a B+ and the final A.
Very available. Cares about her students. Would recommend taking.
Professor Spatarella is an angel. She really tries to connect with her students and wants to help them succeed in her class. She is open to any questions you may have at anytime, and has been extremely considerate and helpful during the online learning process that we are now facing. Her tests are fair and she really loves to teach.
Easy Professor
I love love Dr. Spatarella, she really cares about her students and you can tell she enjoys teachings. Unlike any other prof she actually teaches us during her zoom meeting and upload her recording on canvas. Take her she is an amazing professor. Her voice is really sweet
She cares about her students and is willing to go the extra mile for us. If you have to change to take her please do and you will not regret it. Her exams are fair, she was very helpful during remote learning and answer her emails within 5 minutes. I just love Dr. Spatarella
I dont know where Id be without this Professor. I struggled in pharm and she ensured that we understood the material. Very caring.
Pros: sweetheart, gives second chances for assignments, extra credit opportunities, goes over math in class, study guides for each exam. Cons: reads off slides, rushes through class, wording of exam questions are confusing. 3 exams, 1 paper, Prep-U's, final. Genuinely wants you to do well but you need to read the text as an adjunct. Take her.
Professor Spatarella is an amazing professor and truly cares for her students. She gives great test reviews and overall teaches the materials okay. You need to also use the textbook as for some topics she is a little lack luster. EKGs are important and she doesn't touch base that much with them as much as she should however she is still a good pick
Shes a sweet lady, her class is very manageable. There was times I didnt even study and I got over 80s on her test, she also gives group projects to help boost your grade! Take her for N139, dont need the textbook just read her lectures.
loved her so much can't wait to take her again in future! she was so nice and helps you get involved in lectures so you understand the material. is free for any questions and tests are based on the textbook's question banks so study those. studied hard for this class still though. but if you have to take 139, take Spatarella.
Okay so, I loved professor Spatarella. She's amazing. I had an A in every assignment and exam. However in my opinion, a final should not be weighted at 35% of your overall grade. The average for the final was much lower than other exams & even though I got an 85 it dropped me to an A-, I was really looking forward to an A in this class.
A real gem! She is very caring and wants you to do well. She gives a good review before exams, but make sure you actually study or else you will not do well. She is very accessible outside class. Definitely take her for 139!
She's a really caring and compassionate person. You can come to her with an issue and she helps make it work. Overall, the class was ok! she randomly calls on students to read PowerPoints which can give anxiety to some. I don't learn best like that. Test questions are hard even after studying. This class is doable. study! do the worksheets assigned
Great professor, her panoptos are very informative and her slides contain all the information you will need for the exams. She also highlights all the major drug information. Really enjoyed taking pharm 1 with her.
She is definitely a knowledgeable professor. A really nice lady. two complaints, her final was HARD for pharm 1. she randomly calls on students to read the PowerPoints aloud. While trying to take notes/focus, I don't learn best like that. She claims students learn better hearing their peers read. So why were you hired to be a professor? my opinion
This professor is a literal gem. She cares about her students and actually knows what it feels like to be a nursing student. So far the best nursing professor I had in my opinion. I wish she taught everything truthfully. 10/10.. its med surg 2 so its sort of difficult regardless but nonetheless she makes it easier. shes deserves all the flowers!
I love her! Pharm 1 isnt supposed to be easy, but I love how she brings in paper copies of calculations questions for us to practice with in class. She made IM and SC injections very easy. Gave me the biggest hug when she found out I passed Drug Calc! Shes there for you, lectures are great (and funny), and she truthfully wants you to do well.
I like her for NUR1390. Enjoyable lectures, 2 group discussion boards (easy 100), 3 exams, 1 final. She gives reviews before exams for key topics. Get familiar with notes and key terms in the textbooks and you should be ok. Her tests expect that you use info from class for cases. Make sure to know prenatal, infant, and toddler stages of development
I lovedddd her, her lectures are long but never takes the class time. if i could take her again i would. It was not her fault that I got a C+, i just got lazy the exams, provides review on exams and points back on some questions.+2 on exam and final if you do the ATI. Put in the work for the exams!!!!! Final was super easy after studying <3
Dr. Spatarella is such a sweet lady. Not only is she caring and wants to see her students succeed but she makes sure we are prepared for every exam. She gives reviews before every test and tells us what to study which definitely helps. If you make this class your main focus you will without a doubt get an A.
This is by far my favorite professor ever! I already went to college so I have had alot of professors. She is the most caring person and genuine teacher. She wants her students to succeed and will help you no matter what. She is the only professor that answered my emails this semester which shows she cares. 10/10 recommend taking her.
Dr. Spatarella is without a doubt my favorite Nursing Prof I have taken thus far. She is SO sweet, approachable and down to earth. Her lectures are a bit boring. Lots of participation/discussions/group projects. Study for the exams, they are straight forward and VERY doable, nothing tricky. Best professor for 1390, take her!
Absolutely loved her. She is so caring of all her students and is UNDERSTANDING no matter what. She wants you to do well. Lectures before the test she gives a review that covers everything on it. She likes when people participate in class and tries to make it interesting. Gives long breaks during lecture. Easy class 10/10 YOU HAVE TO TAKE HER. love
I loved Dr Spatarella, she was very kind and cared about her students. This course is a bit lecture heavy but that isn't her fault, that is how nursing can be. She tells stories about her nursing experience and they were always interesting. Her assignments / tests were always fair. Definitely take her!
Spatarella is a great professor; Lecture is very heavy but the exams are very straight forward. She is strict; She didn't round my grade up .50 to the next letter grade which was annoying. There isn't many grades in the grade book so tests do rlly matter!
Prof. Spatarella is an amazing woman! truly one of the best prof. on campus. So caring towards her students, she gives you focus points for exams. I have taken her for multiple courses and enjoyed each one! wish she taught more courses at Molloy!
Love Spatarella, one of the few pharm professors who will spend time going over math questions for the ATI math mastery. Super nice and caring, will throw out questions on the exams and Tells you what to study/focus on. Remeber her important slides. TAKE HER FOR PHARM, you will not regret it.
I like Professor Spatarella as a person, but as a professor she wasn't my favorite. She definitely cares about her students, but sometimes she gets a bit snippy. She does let you know what to focus on for tests and tries to make a hard class less challenging. Overall a good choice for Pharm.
Dr. Spatarella is a great professor. She is there to help whenever you need it. Lectures contain a lot of information and so did the exams. Study in advance because there is a lot of information to grasp. The questions require you to think. Do your best on exams because there aren't many opportunities to boost your grade.
LOVE THIS WOMAN! Best professor in this entire program and I mean it! Will never be upset with her in my life even if I did bad in her class, because then it was my own fault. The only person who actually cares about her students outside the class.
Professor Spatarella may be one of my favorite professors here. She is kind and always makes her lectures go relatively quickly. Although the class is 3 hours, she gives you a break about halfway through, and you usually leave early anyways. She does like to give group work but it's relatively easy and to the point. Loved having her.
She is one of the best nursing professors that you will ever have! I went up to her with questions and she went above and beyond what she had to. She will respond to emails extremely fast. She tells extremely funny stories that relate to the topics and keeps you interested. Professor Spatarella deserves an award for being the best professor!
I had the privilege of taking her class and loved every minute of it. She always provided comprehensive reviews before each exam which made studying a breeze. Not only is she an excellent professor, but she is also kind and caring toward her students. TAKE HER!!!!!!
Amazing professor, caring and a sweetheart. Her exams are fair, she gives study guide for each one. Her exam questions an apply yourself/practical so even if you study, you might slip up. Besides that, also a paper and two group discussions slides in the semester. 2nd group discussion slides she makes you present but its easy. Def would take again.
This is my second time having professor spat and I can never say anything bad about her. Although medsurg 2 is difficult and is a lot of material, she makes it clear what you will be tested on and does not trick you in any way. I would definitely suggest reading the textbook along with her slides for exams! I will definitely suggest taking her!
Professor Spatarella is one of the best professors I have ever had at Molloy. She is very inspiring and knowledgeable in the field of nursing. She is not an "easy" professor, but stop chasing easy. It's nursing school guys you are going to have to learn.
Professor Spatarella is an amazing teacher. She truly cares for her students and it shows from day one. She makes hard subject very manageable and always takes the time and effort to make sure students do the best they can. She does text review and it tells you exactly what you need. She counts ATI as points as well. Paper was not hard. TAKE HER!
My second time taking her because I love her so much. every prof needs to take notes because she is amazing and caring and makes the content 10x easier. her test reviews are pure gold and she is hilarious. made the class so enjoyable and I'm so sad she doesn't teach more classes. Consider yourself lucky if you get the chance to have her. 11/10 take
Sweet lady. She cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. You can do with just studying her review sheets, but watching youtube videos (RegisteredNurseRN) and taking her practice quizzes really help! Practice nclex questions on the topic that's on the test for best success. Also, anki > quizlet (putting yall on game)
very great teacher, cares about her students and gives many opportunities to pass. i would def take her again. 100% recommend i have no complaints.
Not too many graded items, so you need to kill it on each test to do well. Test #2 was extremely hard for me. She is a great professor and will help you until you understand, but the material is TOUGH and dense so you need to study a lot in order to do well. Begin studying for the final on the first day of class because there is so much material.
This professor is very caring and straight forward, goes through powerpoints quickly but points out key points, might need to record lecture! 3 exams, 2 group projects, 1 paper. She makes the class very manageable! Highly recommend.
She's as nice as can be but her teaching style needs work. She will cover a topic such as endocrine in 20 minutes. She breezes through her own powerpoints and does not emphasize what's important. Exams are incredibly difficult. Her outlines are nothing of what will be on the exams. Study straight from the book.
Professor Spatarella is a great professor! Her lectures are very to the point but slide heavy. She creates an engaging classroom which allows for effective learning.
She is a great professor and very knowledgable about what she talks about. Since the tests were on ATI this semester is was very challenging but she does throw out a lot of questions because of this. The exams were also 40 questions which was annoying. Paper is an easy 100 and prepU assignments each week. Overall sweet caring woman and funny.
Dr. Spatarella is the best. There is not one bad thing to say about her, she makes the information very interesting, and she makes it clear what to study for exams. She is kind, funny, and cares for her students. HIGHLY recommend.
Spatarella means well but she does not teach this class well. I left 329 not proficient in reading EKGs. EKGs were only on 1 exam and the final. Exams are INCREDIBLY difficult. Her reviews are useless. Class average for exam 3 was a 65%. Rushes through "lectures"
If you have the opportunity to take her class, I highly recommend it! She is a very sweet and caring teacher. She provides review sheets that help with exams! Only two projects, and they will definitely boost your grade!! Her tests and projects are very fair!
LOVE HER! makes MS-II very manageable and doable. All exams on ATI and major credit is given back, so don't panic. She wants students to pass and succeed but exam questions are hard. Take notes, re-read powerpoints and attend office hours to go over exams and questions. If you try and work hard, she will try and work hard with you. TAKE HER!!!
Spatarella is as nice as can be but not equipped to be teaching med surg. She will tell you she thought she'd be teaching OB as that's her background. I'm now in critical care and her lack of EKG teaching is impacting me greatly. Test guides are misleading, better off studying everything.
Spring 2021: Dr. Spatarella is so knowledgable in HGD. She will keep you the whole lecture and talk most of the time but she knows so much about honestly everything and shes so passionate when she teaches. Beware she will randomly call on you, everyday (for participation) but it's when you least expect it. Uses TB.
Dr Spatarella is such am amazing teacher for pharm 1! She gives great outlines for her exams and does so much math practice to make sure you understand everything for the drug proficiency. Her lectures are ver detailed and provide you with lots of information, as well as an environment to ask questions. She is also very accessible outside of class
Dr. Spatarella is an amazing professor. Her tests are always fair, and she is willing to meet with you to go over your tests if you didn't do well. Her lectures are very engaging, she provides blueprint for every tests. TAKE HER !!
Absolutely love Professor Spatarella. Makes material interesting to learn and provides a blueprint for each exam to help focus on what to study. She is so knowledgeable and caring, she is willing to meet with you after each exam to go over each question you got wrong and explains the correct answer.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this women. She is truly the heart and soul of this program. Genuinely loves her students and wants you to do well. You will never go wrong taking her as a professor. Contact her if you are struggling. She will help you.
im looking forward to taking more classes with her in the future. most engaging lectures - theres not a dull moment in her class. she will call you out for you BS. loved her one of the best professor in the nursing program
Dr. Spatarella was one of the best professors I've taken at Molloy. She has good lectures that usually finish early but she covers everything accordingly. 3rd test and final were the hardest. If you study her PPTs and use the Med-surg ATI e-book, you will pass her exams. Very funny woman and does a test review which helps ease our studying a bit.
I love spatarella!! I had her for NUR 1390 and Pharm 1 and she is amazing. Her classes are very lecture heavy but it is interactive and she makes her material somewhat easy. She is very understanding with Pharm 1 skills tests her tests were easy and exactly like her study guides, the ATIs and written project are grade boosters.
TAKE HER!!! She is one of the best professors I've ever had. She is no BS but in a good way. She gives review/outlines for the exams. She is interactive in class which makes you pay attention and she helps you understand the info with stories/real life scenarios. The info is difficult but she wants you to do good so ask questions.
A great nursing professor. The lecture is long, but her great personality helps with getting through it. She gives review sheets for every test, and her tests are fair. There is one group project, and she is very heavy on participating.
TAKE HER !! One of the best professors I have had since being at Molloy, she gives good reviews for each exam and is very fair, the project and the ATI assignments def help bring up your grades but she is the best, her tests were little difficult when it comes to how she words it but everything she says is going to be on the exam IS ON THE EXAM !
I took Professor Spatarella for Pharm 1, and she's amazing! She gives outlines that match the exam and goes over math and dosage calculations, which many professors don't do. She truly prepares you for Pharm 2 and wants you to succeed. So sweet and supportive!
Spatarella is soo great and nice. 3 tests, 15% each and a cumulative final worth 35%. 2 projects, 1 presented, another you do a voiceover. She is very understanding and ends class early but lectures are still very helpful to listen to and take notes on. Highly recommend taking her. As long as you study, you should get an A with no problem.
This was my second class taking Dr. S and she honestly made pharm very doable. She does a good topic review before exams take notes! She grades the paper in detail so make sure ur APA is perfect. But do take her for Pharm-1 she's the best!
Very nice professor i would take her again and again.
Took her for 1390 and she was amazing. Only real option for 3290, but she doesn't enjoy teaching MedSurg. Zooms through lectures and doesn't really break things down. Kind of arrogant when it came to drug calc. Says to study ATI but ATI doesn't really have a lot of material. I guess just study the slides and get a good night sleep before test days.
I love Dr. Spat! She truly cares about her students, she keeps her lectures very interesting with stories and engaging with students. This is my third time taking her, she gives exact reviews for each exam.
Dr. Spat is one of the best nursing professors hands down. 3 exams on ATI and a final on canvas. Very very fair and gives an outline before each test. She does lecture after exams but doesn't ever keep you for the entire time. Very approachable and understanding. There needs to be more professors like her!
Dr.Sprat is one of the best professors at Molloy. All her exams were fair and she gave reviews beforehand. If you ever have trouble go to her office hours, she's a really big help. There's 3 ATI exams, final is on canvas ,and a written assignment that is a huge grade booster. Take her you won't regret it.
she is the best, take her if you can. She gives extra points on exams. Just follow her review sheets. She wont stress you out at all.
