she nice and polite.
<3333 BEST TEACHER BARUCH COLLEGE HAS <3333
she rocks......................
DON'T TAKE HER!!! She is the worst Prof I saw in my life. doesn't know how to teach and gave the hard test.
She is very nice. She isn't as bad as others had said. The class was kind of hard to follow because she had difficulties to explain what she tried to teach. But she was willing to help her students in her free time. She needs more teaching experiences.
she is a very friendly prof. she does care about every student. her class is easy. her exam is not hard, but still need to spend some times and study for this course.
her class is interesting, it's very important to do one's homework, and to participate in class. The material is difficult, and one needs to do a lot of independent studying in order to do well. She can help you if you have questions and do your hw.
Good personality ftw~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another case of a useless course being taken wildly out of its league by a professor who needs to feel relevant, I have friends in NYU who aced logic that couldnt solve her test problems. Complete waste of time. Not to mention that she fights and belittles students in class.
she is a great professor and willing to help you outside of class. i didn't do well on the midterm and she let me take it over. she awards effort as much as test grades; so just show you care and come to class on time. definately an asset to baruch.
She is the worse professor that I ever have. She is not responsible for what she said. You can not rely on her words because she never remember what she had said any way. Her grade system is very funny and unfair. She only gave her favor student easy A even they don't do well in the exams. Which makes no difference between good and bad.
do not take this class unless you good at calculas or statistic. this class is not logic logic, this is advance math. 80% student are struggling. take phi 1500.
good class. not as harsh, she is very nice and helpful.
She is a great GPA killer... Exams are difficult and her class is so boring
she is horrible doest not know how to teach, has an accent mite make it hard to understand, for a lady she has horrible handwriting, funny grading system, doenst noe what she said b4, she is da worst. GPA killer fosho
This class is quite hard. You need to pay attention in her class and study before the exam.
the class is very laid back. she just demands respect, as she does deserve it. exams are not hard as long as you listen and understand what goes on in class and do the homework! it helps.
She is great. I felt it was a lot of work at first since I was hoping it would be an easy A. Its a college class so work is expected even if its not your field of interest, its required for a reason. Applying what you learned, to life is very complex and not easy but VERY relevant, specially if you are a business major.
She's young, a little naive and pretty new. I doubt she's really a teacher. She just has to do it because she's in Grad school. Her exams are insane, her examples are poor and she can't teach very well. It was sad that she couldn't have taught the class better because it was actually an interesting subject. if you want to learn, take someone else.
High-pitched squeaky voice. Inconsistent teaching, can't follow syllabus, disgusting handwriting.
She is young, hot and has 0 teaching skill. I don't how she became a professor.I have doubt... Her exams are hard. Handwriting is awful; she writes like a five years old kid and misspell every single word. Do not waste your time with her.
Friendly, understanding. Class is difficult, but she didn't invent it.YOu have to study, read & do your homework.Hello! You're in college. Not just a fair grader, she bends over backwards to help students pass and gave opportunities. If you don't get an A after all the extra credit she gives is cause you don't want to & perhaps don't belong in college.
Her teaching style is somewhat disorganized, but follow what she is saying and you'll understand the subject. The textbook we used was good but may seem difficult if you don't like to read. Pay attention if you want to pass! She loves to move on quickly so stop her if you are lost. She is very nice and gives a lot of extra credit.
She is very nice and helpful. You just have to write everything she say and do your homework because the test are based on that. She gives extra credit. She is willing to help you all the time. Easy A if you do all the work.
I failed logic two times before with different professor's and thought the class was hard. I took her, and she is by far the best logic professor. Of course you need to make sure you pay attention in class, as well as do ALL of your homework! I got an A- in this class because she also gives a lot of extra credit which is great! Good Professor!
she is very disorganized. i dont believe that she cares about her job, 1st half of semester was useful but after midterms it went down the drain added an extra book out of nowhere, gave a final paper last minute which consisted of material not discussed in class, posted hw at midnight when class was at 7am. if u have no life take her.
Nice attractive professor makes logic easy to understand. The choice of book was good.I failed this class 2 times with different professors. She makes things easy to understand. You must study and do all your homework! she takes time each class to go over it. You will learn how to do it! she also gives you plenty of extra credit opportunities.
What she teaches is not in accordance with the textbook, which makes it hard to study if you don't have notes. but you'd have to understand her first to get notes down. class is easy once u learn the formulas. shes not into doing review sessions before midterm/finals. don't recommend her if you want to learn logic.
Great professor, you must do the work and attend class.
The class is difficult, the book is difficult but the teacher is very helpful and willing to help.
EASYclass u might feel she is tough when u first c her however she is easygoing. attendance is not mandatory but she does care&kinda know who is there.lot HW but no need to hand in.Butif u want A do as much as u can.mitem+final are either same Q in the HW or super similar.one group present-easy.her notes in class are helpful+self study is necessary
Work hard to do well this class. She is not a easy professor.
If it's your first time learning logic w/truth trees, tables or derivations, AVOID THIS PROFESSOR. She starts of friendly but then rushes lessons and "solves" logic problems in class instead of teaching. She belittles students w/questions. You can learn with H.W. but don't expect to learn in the class. I recommend you drop her if it's not too late.
This is not an easy class! But, she is very helpful, she will meet with you b4 class or after if you have any problems in class. The exams are hard, but if you do your HW, she will give you extra points. Even if you fail all of her exams, but you will get an A on your final she will give A for the class. I would recommend her class
this is a easy A. She's letting our class retake all tests on the last day. I don't even have to say anything more. She raises your grade by 30-40 points on each test if you do your HW that corresponds to that test and she stops taking attendance halfway through the course. SOO EASY TRUST ME and shes a HOT romanian and shes tall
this is easy if you do all the hw because you can retake tests and get extra points for HW. she also says some really wiered things and tells some wierd stories that makes me think she comes in stoned, but that's cool though because i do the same
Nice personality-wise, but rushes through lessons.
Jeez, she makes this class absolutely unbearable. I had her at 7:50 in the morning and it was almost impossible to stay awake. She's awful at explaining. In the beginning of the semester, she claimed that as long as she saw effort from the students, she would give them good grades. That turned out to be bull.
Easy its not. The professor is helpful, the material is boring. overall it was informative. Nice professor.
This is like a english class rather than a real philosophy class. She makes us read long articles that does not pertain to logic. All the derivations/truth tables etc that she taught in class are not even on the exams. The exams are based on reading articles and translating it into symbols. She makes logic more complicated than it really is.
The class was good. I recommend the class to people who are good about doing their work.
Worst teacher I've ever had in all my years of education. Run away if you see her on your sched. You need to have a good prod for this course and she is horrible. Doesn't even know the material herself. Gets problems wrong and expects you know them. Will fail the whole class if necessary.
An interesting class. The teacher was patient and helpful. I loved the class, one of the more useful college courses.
Good teacher, organized, and very helpful.
You can take the same class with other professors!
Awesome class.
Took her for winter. She gives homework, but it's not required. If you show her your homework she gives you extra credit for the exams.
Take notes. the book is useless. Professor Prichea is understanding. I did poorly on the first exam and did okay on the 2nd. I went and saw her a few times that helped my grade on the third exam and final exam. Excellent excellent teacher.
Fabulous teacher. Quirky and fabulous. I loved the course.
Your typical Baruch class. Nice teacher and helpful.
She is brilliant. Knows her stuff, knows how to extend it to every day life. Brilliant.
I had this class 7:30 in the damn morning and learning about dead guys was not exactly interesting. There are no textbooks but there are many readings and YOU HAVE TO READ. Professor is super nice and she gives you a chance to do better but you HAVE TO READ AND PARTICIPATE.
- Unorganized, unprepared & obviously does not know what she is doing - Lots of dense reading w/ insufficient explanation of material - Condescending towards students during class "discussions" (it was mostly her speaking because everyone was clueless) - VERY unclear yet STRICT grading rubric (HOW SWAY??) Overall: Avoid taking this class
There was a lot of reading. It seems that most students didn't do the reading, so the class lacked the spark. For an introductory class it was great, we read a lot of recent philosophers, with a focus on Plato. I wish I had read more.
So much reading everyday. Expects everyone to participate. Strict grader, hard tests. Theres no chance with her unless you want to dedicate your time only to this class. Lectures arent boring and dull. She seems like a nice person, but can be rude at times. Wish I could drop her but its kind of too late now. Avoid at all cost. Theres better.
Do no take.
If you want an easy A, don't take.
do yourself a favor and avoid this class. not worth it.
SJU Business Ethics: 1 paper (4-5 pages), 1 midterm (harsh grader), 1 final, and M.C./True False quiz EVERY CLASS on the reading due. There is so much reading for each lecture. She gets pissed that nobody does the readings and no one really participates, which is why she started giving quizzes every class. Mandatory attendance, and NOT AN EASY A!
SJU Business Ethics - An insanely difficult course. Every quiz that she gives every class is SPECIFIC and you probably won't get 100 on them unless you have a photographic memory. A very unfair grader especially on the midterm; she would take points off just for fun in my opinion. Do not take!
Don't take she makes you read every classs and no did the readings so she starting giving us quizzes. its not out fault what she teaches is boring and im pretty sure everyone bombed the test. DONT TAKE
Extremely harsh grader. She doesn't plan her lessons in advance but, still expects students to follow along, in fact she's changed the syllabus about 5 times this semester. Each time the class got a little harder. We have a quizzes every class that average out to a 20% exam grade, she expects an entire chapter to be read EVERY class
She is very lecture heavy. i took her for the basic philosophy course and treated it like a CAPSTONE HIGHEST LEVEL COURSE. So much reading. Spent like 50 dollars on books that you need to buy on amazon cause its not in the bookstore and YOU NEED TO READ A LOT. 9 Reflection paperS, 3 essays, PLUS A FINAL IN CLASS EXAM WITH 2 ESSAYS W/ MULT. CHOICE
Expects everyone to understand the material like she does even though it is an intro level course. Not the best English speaker. Very hard to follow her lectures.
Has an expectation that everyone understands the material. Gets annoyed when being asked multiple questions. Will promise you extra credit opportunities than never will fulfill them. Don't bother, just avoid.
Better off learning the material yourself than with her.
Not the best English speaker, but easy to get used too. Too textbook heavy. Speeds through lessons. Nothing special.
She is a fantastic teacher, she is clear, precise, and gives many extra credit opportunities. The course I took with her is logic, and it's an introduction to logic, nothing too complicate if you study.
The best class at Baruch. It taught me how to think better. Great teacher, it was a lot of homework, but once you get the gist of it all goes well.
Great class. Overall I enjoyed the class and the material. Good professor.
At first I was bored with the class, but Professor Prichea is amazing, she is very flexible just participate and you will enjoy her
You can barely understand anything she talks about. Does not simplify anythinggggggggggg. Your better off buying a textbook and teaching yourself
I am not sure if its the subject, or the professor, but this class was horrible. The tests were a death sentence. The way she words her questions make it difficult to interpret. It is all short answer, and she expects PARAGRAPHS per "?". The readings were dense and complicated. She had to give a lot of EC because the majority BOMBED her test.
Honestly, this was the worst class I have taken in my college career. Class is super boring, all she does is talk all class and its so hard to understand the material if the class is boring. Tests are basically there to hurt your grade. Gives extra credit because the majority fails the tests. Give paper one week before due. Do not take!!!!!!!!!
This class is bad. I mean BAD BAD. entire class failed test, so she was forced to give extra credit, but even that doesnt help! gave essay a week before class was over. changed the final test format less than 16h before test. does not explain the concepts well. very boring. puts the blame on students for her inability to teach. STEER CLEAR PLEASE!!
If you want an easy A then this isn't the class for you. Do the readings, pay attention, show up to class & its not impossible. Its very boring & difficult but the professor can't help that. If you do your part she does hers. The people who failed didn't pay attention or reach out for help. Your grade honestly all depends on if you'll work hard
Complete waste of my tuition. Self taught throughout the semester. False promises for EC.
This professor has a very difficult personality and teaching style. Youre not allowed to disagree with her points in class b/c she just overshadows you with her opinion. Hint: Thats why no one wants to participate. Secondly shes an extremely hard grader and is so inflexible. Please do yourself a favor and take another prof.
I took her in the 2019 Fall Term in a 3-hour course and enjoyed her teaching. She is far from boring and knew everything and more on the topics she discussed. Your opinions are accepted in any situation and she gives lots of help. As long as you do all the homework responses, the easy presentation, and the final, you are guaranteed an A.
I did not like this professor, she is nice but the lectures are very boring and she makes the class boring too. The test is not that easy. Good Luck
This has been one of the hardest courses i have taken so far!! everything was very VERY confusing and not clear at all.
Lectures are boring. The only thing that actually helps are her notes. She goes over problems over in class, so you can easily use that for quizzes and exams. Curves final grades at the end.
Professor Prichea is super nice and really smart. She knows everything about logic and reasoning. However, this course is pretty difficult. But she makes it as easy as it can be by giving easy quizzes that you pretty much get 100% on for just submitting. Definitely recommend if philosophy and logic interests you.
Course was tough. Professor pretty chill
She is very sweet and caring to all her students, she was one of the sweetest professors I've encountered. However, the material can get pretty draining. Be ready to teach philosophy topics to yourself, watch YouTube videos. The professor will be your pillar to actually understanding the material since she goes over the readings in each class.
She was very nice. The course itself is hard but she was nice enough to go thru every readings. Make sure u participate. Definitely would take her again
She is terrible! She does not know how to explain. She sucks as a teacher. She explains examples with words you never heard in your life. She talks down on you and she expects you to know the material and be prepared. She is talking very highly of herself (saying she is a great professor) meanwhile everyone in class struggles. DONT TAKE HER!!!!!!!
Not sure why her rating is so low. Shes very sweet and caring, she also explains the concepts very well. The material is hard but not impossible. If you show up, take good notes, you should be more than fine. The midterm and final are not difficult just study the notes and practice problems. Honestly just make sure you don't miss class and your set
Tough material, but she cares and she wants you to do well. She expects you to attend, and participate, and do the homework. But very willing to help.
Great instructor, but a tough class. Be prepared to put in a lot of time outside class. Great class though, and extremely interesting. She is very accessible outside of class and it is clear what she expects of you.
