Dr. G is a pretty good professor overall. My only complaint is that if anyone complains to him or cheats or does something they shouldn't, he punishes the ENTIRE class. He can teach, but a warning to those taking him, you might get screwed by him taking out his anger on the class.

Physics is never fun, but at least I did much, much better with this professor than I did the first time I took physics (and dropped it). The best way to prepare for his tests is to do the suggested problems in the book, as he often pulls similar problems from that to put on the test. Recommended by a friend, I'm recommending him too!

attending lecture is completely pointless! i never learned anything this guy had to say in class and i never went to class. I managed to make an A by reading the chapters (which are not even that necessary really) and doing the problems at the end of the chapters. he pulls problems from the book that are similar and that will give you an A.

One of the best professors I've had at UGA. His tests are easy as long as you go over the practice questions he does in class and do the recommended book questions, as his test questions are very similar. The "final" (last test) is optional because he drops your lowest test. I definitely recommend the class.

If you have to take physics, TAKE DR.G! His homeworks are so easy compared to everyone else's. His tests are tricky though especially since they're MC and there's usually around 15-16 meaning you miss two and that's automatically a B. Dr. G is probably the better professor to take as he is lectures well (he gives hints on whats on the tests) but no matter what, physics is hard! You need to study on your own time to succeed in this kind of course. I would say if you like MC tests than pick Dr. G, otherwise pick someone else--at the end of the day, its on you to get the grade!!
