Andrei is the most brilliant professor I have ever had. He knows so much about Math and his goal is for everyone to understand the material. He will repeat the same example multiple times until everyone can understand it. I have dropped this class twice before but with Andrei, it is very possible to get a 90%. Truly amazing.

one of the best prof you will ever have in u of r..he is always willing to help and makes stat 151 easy to understand..writes every info down so you can't go wrong, all it takes is for you to do your part..i would recommend him..

Andrei is, how can i put this?...He is the best. Yes, the best. Now, don't let the accent scare you. Don't drop his class and you will understand him perfectly clear after one class. And if not, he writes everything on the board. He garentees that everyone will pass. He knows his math and is a really nice guy. Giggles a lot. very stylish man!

Andrei is absolutely amazing!!! He offers so much help and after just half a class you'll understand him easily. He teaches using the easiest methods and pretty much guarantees a pass in his class.

Andrei is the best. Clarity is given through his board work and examples, even though his Russian accent is difficult at times. He is interested in having his students succeed. I'd take another class from him in a heartbeat!

The easiest math course I have ever taken. Review of like elementary school math. Andrei is a really nice guy and wants all of his students to do well. There is really no way you could fail his class. Some assignments and unit tests and a final all tests you could have cheat sheets ( as many as you want). Best mark in math I have ever gotten!

This guy is funny and an easy guy to get along with. He actually makes math fun to learn. Something that I thought was never possible.

Andrei is the best prof at the UofR. I hated Math, & I thought I was terrible. He makes you feel welcome & unintimidated - I will walk out of this class with a 95%, oh but wait I failed the class through Maria Torres. I cannot say enough good things about this man. Andrei's accent is a little hard at first but after 1 or 2 classes its easy!! HE'S SOOO helpful especially to those of us who suck at math! I really recommend him to those who need math taught in predictable, consistent methods. I took a Saturday class winter semester and ended up with a 70%... and I'm soooooooo bad at math! He's AMAZING!

It is impossible not to like Andree. He wants you to succeed and he is very unintimidating. Take as many classes with him as you can!

i loved Andrei. Always there to help and make the class laugh.His assignments r easy and short. There is never a penalty for handing things in late (just hand it in by the end of the semester). His russian accent, however, is a bit difficult to understand at first. Just remember to ask for help when u need it (some things are not clear at 1st)

Very good teacher, no surprises on midterms and final. Marks very fair. You can bring in a cheat sheet to both midterms and final exam which really helps. Would take another class from him :)

If you have the opportunity for him to teach you math, take it! His thick russian accent is intense the first class but is very easy to get used to. He explains everything clearly, loves questions, and tells you every topic that will be on the midterm/final. He also allows cheat notes. Very friendly. I recommend him!

I'm not sure what to think of Andrei, do to the fact that Stat 257 is a joke. He is a very friendly, very approachable guy, and I would love to work for him. Is he a great teacher? I can't comment, as I learned nothing in this class. Definately not a guy to be afraid of if you have to take his class.

Andrei is hands down the best prof I've ever had to date and hands down the best I've had at U of R so far. It's a shame he's moving away because he has to be one of if not the best prof at the U of R. I'm gonna miss him!

Andre is a very good prof. because he cares about the students. He wants them success; therefore, he tries to do his best to teach the materials so the students can understand. I had many professors, and there are few in U of R that are actually care and want us to be success.

Andrei is a REALLY nice guy! He also has an awesome accent that will cheer you up no matter how early in the a.m. it is. Good? Yes? Ya. Hahaha! He seems to be pretty swell at teaching, but since he just used another profs notes, I can't be sure. At any rate, he's super approachable if you need help & wants you to do great. Textbook is unnecessary.

Andrei is one of the best professors I have had at the UofR. He wants his students to suceed and get good grades. He also recognized the fact that students in Math 101 are not math/science students. Tests are easy and workload is very minimal. Great stories from Russia as well. EXCELLENT CLASS!

Amazing prof, HIGHLY recommend! If you go to class and work along with the examples he will reward you! Funny and genuinely wants you to do well in the class. SUCH a nice prof, so kind and helpful and wants to see all of his students succeed. Has a lot of material on his website to help study for quizzes, which is very helpful. I am very bad at anything math related, and he makes the lessons seem easy and provides real life examples so the class isn't so boring. Highly, highly recommend this prof!

Very helpful professor. The final exam was very similar to the quizzes, and he gave us an overview of what would be on the final on the last day of class. I have never enjoyed a math class before, but Dr. Volodin's class was very enjoyable! I definitely recommend this professor to anyone who needs to take MATH 101.

He is awesome told me he does not believe in failing students, just show up hand in assignments and do quiz and you'll do fined Don't waste your money buying the book never used it!

Wants all his students to do well. Hand in your assignments and do quizzes and you'll do great! Don't bother purchasing textbook it isn't needed.

Gives amazing prep for upcoming quizzes and tests. took notes, but everything is posted slide by slide on UR courses anyways. Accent was not hard to understand, but his voice was very soft. I suggest sitting as close to front of class as possible.

Andrei was a great prof specifically in Stats. He was one of the best prof I had for my first year university. I definitely recommend him to all. He grades fairly and gives a lot of partial marks. He makes stat the easiest class I had in uni. Very helpful and approachable, take classes with him. Simply the best prof.

I would say Andrei is a decent prof, way of teaching is great. Quizzes were very easy as long as you understand the lessons. Provides slides and practice assignments/quizzes. He is so nice, he even gave the formats of the final exam. He really wants his students to get an excellent mark on papers! Would advice to take his class for easy grade. :D

Andrei wants you to succeed. He posts all slides, but his lectures help clarify the material. His test preps are basically cheat sheets for the exams. Easy grader. He has a strong accent and speaks softly, but if you sit near the front of the class you wont have a problem. He is very kind and friendly, and obviously loves the material he teaches.

He is so kind and makes sure he's available a lot. You only have 5 tests(he uses best 4), 1 midterm, and the final. For each one he gives a prep, which is the same format. He really wants kids to do well. He lets you bring a one page cheat sheet to all of these. He is the best prof I've had! He has a Russian accent but you get used to it quickly.

He just wants everyone to pass and will do anything to let that happen. If you just go talk to him about a mark he will most likely change it. Slight warning, he has a very thick Russian accent and is sometimes hard to understand.

Volodin is very nice and kind, but his midterm and final are difficult. Also, there are no lecture notes, he just read from the textbook so be ready to teach yourself and read the textbook.

Prof is a very nice person. Thick Russian accent but you get used to it over time. I took this online so lectures were basically just reading through the textbook. Always study the textbook on your own time and do extra textbook practice as exams are often based closely on assignments or the textbook.

Andrei is honestly one of the kindest, most genuine people I've met. He actually cares—about school, about life, about people. He makes time, listens, and treats students with real respect. You leave every interaction with him feeling better about people and the world. Just an all-around amazing human.

You have to do a lot of learning on your own. Make sure you read the notes and write down the notes. Understand the main ideas and formulas that go along with them. Coming to class would not make much of a difference but doing the assignments and knowing how to do them would greatly help. Only had 2 assignments, midterm, final, and term project.

If I could give him 6 stars I would. Andrei is the best professor I've had by a landslide! Probably the best person as well. Thank you Andrei.
