Professor Jimenez is an amazing professor for Organic Lab but for Organic Lecture she is hard and even if you study her tests are difficult.Lot of homework which is helpful.She is a nice person but does not explain clearly.Messy when explaining on the board, you cannot follow her steps.

The homework usually had NOTHING to do with her exams and it was quite a lot of homework. Although towards the end of the semester she changed the homework to something more useful.

She's a great professor who teaches exactly what your going to need to pass the test. She makes you want to like chemistry. If you don't go to class you won't pass but if you study and complete all the quizzes before the tests it will be an easy A. 4 tests 5 take home quizzes and a final. The quizzes are like reviews for the test.

So glad I got her for chemistry. Took her for both CHM1025 and CHM1045. I never thought I would be able to understand chemistry like I do now. She is very fair and cares about her students. Jimenez is the best professor I encountered at Miami Dade College. Her lectures are concise and clear. She tests only on the material covered in class which is helpful because Chemistry can be tricky at times. Gives lots of extra credit and is very kind and considerate. Take her class if you would like to learn and pass. Gives you a review before each test so you know what to expect and actually knows how to teach chemistry. If you have a chance to take her do it because its worth it. She actually makes you want to learn and helps make sense of the lesson.

She's a very nice teacher. She always has little hints to help you memorize the important chemical groups. She has homework, but she doesn't make it for a grade. She also has a review that she goes over. The only issue is that her lectures don't allow you to practice the problems and you have to do it yourself on your own time.

I took this class in 6 weeks and even though we rushed through material, she made learning the basics very simple. She has tricks for everything that will help you memorize things easier. I would take her again! She is very respectful and polite. She will work with you if you talk to her about any personal problems

Dr. Jimenez was very nice & is extremely knowledgeable. I took this class during summer and it was a big mistake. It's too much information to cover in 6 weeks. AVOID taking it during summer! She did stop coming to class the last week & we had a sub to help prepare for our final which was terrible. Other than that she was a great professor.

She's a great professor. It was a lot of work because it was a 6 weeks class but she gave 4 test, she replaces the lowest test score with your final. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities which helps you a lot. If you miss class you will be lost so come to class everyday. I look forward to taking her for 1045.

Some of the reviews question will be on the tests (total of 3-4). The final is a mixture of review questions and previous test questions (easy). If you have questions, she will take the time to review with you. Will gladly take her again.

Good professor. MIdterm and final review are nothing like the actual exam, it does help but the exams have way more info than the review so find other study sources. Do not forget to do the pre lab and conclusion those little points do count and make you go from a A to a B like it happened to me.

Professor Jimenez is seriously the most amazing professor there is. She is hilarious and makes everything pretty easy to understand. She's not a difficult professor but keep in mind it is Chemistry so you do have to pay attention and show up for class. I had Professor Jimenez for CHM1025 and I absolutely fell in love with her. She's such a fun and amazing professor, she tries to make the class really engaging and loves to tell jokes to help remember the material. There are no words that can express how awesome Professor Jimenez is. She knows her material and breaks down everything as she teaches while also showing you tricks and mnemonics to remember as you learn. This professor will explain step by step until you understand. I was so clueless about Chem. but she made it so easy. The only problem with her is that before COVID-19, she would either be late or absent, which affected our lectures. Each chapter has about 12-20 questions of HW on Mastering. I ended up getting an A and she gives extra credit.

She makes chem really easy and gives you cute tricks to remember things. Your grade is based on 4 tests and mastering hw. She's always a little late but makes up for it with an extremely clear and concise lecture. If you pay attention, take notes, do hw and review you'll pass. The reviews are similar to the tests and she goes over it in detail.

In reality this professor would make explanations really easy and she would explain everything so simple that literally anyone could understand. Despite the homework being difficult it was actually really helpful when you take your time with it because all information is there.

The lecture videos are great. She breaks things down to the point anyone can understand. Hw is on Pearson, offers LOTS of extra credit points. Also drops lowest exam score out of 4. I took it remotely - no proctored exams, but they do average 35-40 questions with 50 mins. Her study guides are good and I didn't need the book.

Took her Fall 2020 remotely due to COVID. She's so sweet/caring. She recorded her lectures then post them to BB for us to watch at our convenience, that means we didn't have to physically log on for classes. She uses Pearson for HW (20% overall grade). Four exams on BB, NO BACKTRACKING ALLOWED, lowest grade dropped. Not proctored. No lockdn browser

pre-records her lectures. hw questions are tough and she doesn't teach most of the questions that are on the hw but it's doable, just tedious. The tests are okay, not really easy but do the practice tests, those help a lot. No lockdown browse for tests but you can't go backtrack on questions and only go forwards. She explains material very well.

Lectures through zoom; she records it so you can go back on it. Also has pre-recorded lectures of the materials. Hw on Pearson, theres 3 exams & a final through respondus lockdown browser. Your lowest exam grade gets dropped. Shes an amazing prof and she breaks everything down so you can understand. I was bad at chem but now Im passing w/ A

I recommend anybody take this professor. Our course was MDC Live and all our assignments were on Labster, which was amazing. Since we couldn't go to campus lab, these assignments felt hands on like you were in the lab. We had two Exam (Midterms and Final). If you study the study guides and do the assignments you'll pass the exams. Super nice Prof.

She's an amazing teacher. If you're not a quick learner, she will take her time making sure you understand. Her lectures are very understandable and she doesn't go quick. Homework and Exams are on Pearson. She advises you guys to learn the chapter first before doing the homework, but if you just want to get the hw done, it's all there for you.

She's really kind, and caring. when I took her class, I had some financial difficulty and could not pay for the Pearson subscription, yet she offers me her help. she explained very well. even if you didn't like Chemistry, you will learn a lot if you pay attention in her class. she answers every question. I don't regret taking her class.

Easily the best professor I've had at MDC. She explains the experiments SUPER well and grades so nicely, all you have to do is follow the instructions. She is so caring and understanding. I had 2 personal issues this semester and she dropped two labs for me no questions asked. TAKE HER!!! Been at MDC 2+ years and no one is better then Dr. Jimenez!

Excellent professor all round. IF YOU WANT TO TAKE CHEMISTRY, TAKE HER. Lectures are explained extremely well and she is willing to stop wherever when asked in order to explain in greater detail to anyone who is lost. She constantly ask if everyone is caught up and she is willing to answer all questions related to the work. Great personality.

Arguably one of the most incredible professors I have had to date. She is thorough, and you can see she cares deeply about her student's success. I only have one critique: I enrolled for an in-person class, but we ended up meeting on Zoom for every other class. That was difficult for me, but she was still amazing otherwise. I 10/10 recommend her!

I don't even know where to start. She is the most reliable professor I ever met. Even though chemistry is not my favorite subject that she likes, it's very helpful for me to learn methods and procedures. There is also a midterm and final exam; there is a lab report that is super easy to take. I will highly give 10 stars to an outstanding professor!

Mrs. Jimenez is a very caring professor. She does her best in lectures by explaining the concepts as simple as possible and when students get confused she helps them. She gives lots of homework so stay on top of your assignments and never fall behind. Her exams are mostly easy but some of the problems were dictionary heavy.

I've taken OChem II at UM and MDC and never passed. Professor J is by far the best chem professor I've had in any chem class ever. She explains thoroughly and clearly all the mechanisms, doesn't surprise on tests, and provides great resources for her students to excel in OChem. She very clearly cares about her student's success in a tough topic.
