YO this is the worst teacher in valencia. He dosen't explain nothing, he's bad really bad. I took him for trig and i got a D in the class when i knew more than my friends who passed it. I took Precalc the semester before and got a B. Now whose Bad. Aabad
he was horrible!! No one I know could understand him and he taught way above my intermediate algebra level. Ugh!!! Plus, he passed us only to make himself look better!! Steer clear
He is the worst teacher ever. He and his stupid calculator programs, and lectures from the computer have no sense. He confuses the students more and more, and when somebody asks him a question he feels attacked and answers in a bad mood.
I must admit, he was pretty bad. I have had tough teachers before but he was just kind of ridiculous. It isnt impossible, you just really have to take the time to understand. He hates answering questions. I would advice most people (lazy crowd), STAY AWAY
hard, but when (if) you finish you are prepared for the following classes. Definitely would take him again.
Hi is a great teacher. Very smart, explains every thing. his tests are little bit hard, but you study they are easy.
all i can say is study. The guy isnt that bad but you need to keep your shiznit together to get a good grade.
Good professor had him for pre-calc and trig and got B's on both. Easy if you are smart and know math. Even do he is gone i wish i could take calc I, II, and III with him.
This guy sucked. You can't understand a thing he says. His test were so strange u spend most the time guessing. Even the school tutors were lost. He should not be teaching he thinks to above people.

He is so confusing! Try to avoid taking his calsses because you will probably drop them anyways. Students are aving to correct him on his lectures because he never really knows what he is talking about.
Very difficult to understand. Explanations were cloudy. I took it during his first semester teaching and the class had to teach him most of the material.
The teacher is a moron. He gets pissed off at us because we give him a crappy review but yet he doesnt change the way he teaches. He needs to learn how to teach before he decides to get all pissed off at his students. Midterm Thursday yea Tuesday in class no review he talks about his negative evaluation by us his students. Not worth taking just walk out everytime if you want.
Don't take him if you're not good with math & need extra help!! I was completely confused & had to withdraw from the class.. He doesn't explain very well from the beginning..
He is an adjunct so he is never around to help you, tutors usually don't help because he is very particular, has an extremly high failing rate. He is good with math but is a horrible teacher! WOuld not recomend him to anyone wo planned on passing.
I've notice he isn't to good for teaching trig but his Calc II class was fairly easy. Explaned well, gave group tests and take-home tests.
Prof. Abad is really nice, his class is really easy, sometimes it gets hard to understand, you have to study a lot though, his tests are easy.
He is a good prof, very smart. The class is not easy, neither is he. if you want a good grade you have to work hard. Do the work and pay attention in class. try to figure out his teaching method in the beginning. his tests and quizes are very reasonable. he is very fair. just dont be lazy.
Horrible teacher, wouldn't recommend this class to anyone. Seems to be in a rush with course material and won't take his time to help you. He teaches from pre-written examples on a piece of paper and the projector. Don't take this class unless you plan on failing. I dropped the course, he points at pre-written work.
He seems to know what he's doing, but he's horrible at explaining it. He races through the material and doesn't take the time to explain. He allows you to work with others, but if you stop to help, or ask for help, you get lost because he goes so fast. I dropped the class to maintain my sanity and my GPA.
This teacher is a nightmare come true, this guy since the beggining all it does its confuse the whole class, he doesnt explain well, plus he thinks that since he know the material, we also know it. He goes through the material at a 100mph not leting you keep up with him. Since the begg he said that he wont help any students, he said to find a tutor

teacher is a pretty cool guy, once you do the homework he assigns you can pass the class. Might have to go to the tutors alot though right after he explains stuff for them to clarify
Well, he tried! The class is a little bit hard, and his explanations are not that clear. However, if the student ask hi will do his best
very good teacher. very fair with grades. many take home quizes. helps you when asked. must ask a lot of questions
quizes are online, do them with someone else in the class. be sure to pay attention. take notes, they are helpful for the tests. homework isn't graded. Start an 8 by 11 sheet when you learn the material, so you're not doing it the night before the test, you'll be able to use it on the test. go to the tutoring center for help
Brilliant! I cannot understand these other comments here about him. This professor is clear, to the point and gives you everything you need to know in order to get an A in the class. He is very knowlegable, and explains clearly. Take good notes, do the homework and the tests will be easy. Take him, but prepare to work hard for your A.

Abad is a character. lol He is soo funny. But he's funny and he doesn't even know it. He's really random too. But it's cute. He's a short fellow. Hispanic descent. He speaks clearly, but sometimes he loses his train of thought and confuses the class. He seems like a really nice guy just has his flaws. He's not easy. Work HARD!!
Guys, if you already know math and need a quick recap,he may be able to do that. this guys will make your head spin. he teaches off a website. he is hard , not consistent, not clear, and doesn't make sens. In general useless. he will test you more than he will teach you. we had 6 quizes, 3 tests, a mid term and a final. Good luck.
Mr. Abad is one of the best professor at valencia..hands down!! Is class is so easy that even the worst math student can pass.. I dont understand how people can talk bad things about Mr. Abad. I take him for calc2 and 3.. In calc2 I study and work hard and I pass with a "B" calc3 I did nothing and get a "C+" Please take this guy.. He is mad cool!!

I have never had a professor as bad as this one. He talks the entire time but teaches nothing. He is an OK guy but has very poor teaching skills. Whats covered in class has nothing to do with what you are quized or tested on. I would advise ALL, to choose another professor. VERY HARD.... and dont even think about getting a break or leaving early.
I think Professor Abad is one of the best math teachers at Valenica. He is very understanding and helps students out with online quizzes and reference sheets for exams. Great Smile. I'd take him again.
The professor knows what he's teaching but he has difficulty feeding it to students. He's hard to follow when he tries explaining the steps to a problem. He tries to be funny at times but honestly, he's not. He uses way too many analogies for my taste. Seriously, who compares an asymptote with heaven? Really?
Not at all a good professor. He doesn't have a office so we had to help the student in the hall ways or the library. You can not understand anything he says. If you miss a day you will miss a lot because it's a lot of information in each chapter. He will not revisit a chapter if you don't understand!
I dont like this professor at all. He made this course so much harder then necessary. he wouldn't do ample examples and he talked to much. Instead of doing review for the finals the week before he taught 2 more chapters and expected us to know them for finals that following monday. Not a good teacher to take if u struggle with math.
Professor Abad was by far, the worst math teacher I have ever had. If you, like myself, stuggle with math, find another professor! He is very unorganized and rushes through each class without reviewing any key terms. He is difficult to understand and only teaches how to do each problem on a calculator. I did not learn a thing in this class.
This is probably the worst professor I have ever had. He spent more time explaining his website than math. He did not make things clear and went through the material too fast. He expected us to learn everything at home and when we got to class he did a sample problem on the board with no explanation. I would not recommend him for anybody.
He is a nice person but he cannot teach if his life depended on it. He is extremely smart but he does not communicate the material well to his students. There's not much work to do. Most of the test and quizzes can be turned in online or done in pairs. I do not recommend this professor.
it's not an easy class and for sure he doesn't try to make it clear for you. He is a smart guy, and he gets math but he doesn't know how to explain it to others. For first time ever i hated math, i thought that i understand it until i got in his class. Take somebody else, don't risk it!
Was not helpful at all! Couldn't figure out how to give us our test online, and blamed us for not being able to find it. And put down a girl in front of the whole class. Does not know how to teach the material DO Not Take!!
I ended up just dropping his class. He was horrible. He makes you take online tests and quizes. The program you take them through stopped working for me half way through the test. I emailed him and blamed it on me and told me that he expected better out of me, when it was the programs fault. He just is not a good teacher. I recommend him for nobody

I had him at DeVry, and everything he said was not very usefull. I ended up cursing him out simply because I asked him to rview the test and he refused. He should take his good hand and learn to teach.
This professor is something else man. First of all, you basically have to teach yourself the whole class by yourself. Also, when you take the test and quizzes you do feel lost. Once you get a hang of the quizzes things get better. I DONT suggest him for any one. DONT TAKE HIMMM.. RUNNNNN!!!
I just think that Mr Abad is so cute and he has such a nice smile. His jokes are wierd but that makes him more adorable. Anyway, he is nice and very understanding; he gives you a cance. His pitfall is that he is sort of intimidating and is often on the defensive in class so i couldnt ask him for help when i was confused. I wish he had an office.

Don't take hime he is the worst. Gives students 5 quizzes to be done just 5 days before final. Never reviews prior work right before a test. teaches until the last day before the final and doesn't review anything for the final. horrible teacher don't ever take his class!!!!!!!!!!!
IT'S ALL IN HIS LAST NAME... ABAD= A BAD PROFESSOR! He is the worst professor ever.. its a self teach class. IF he does something wrong and someone corrects him he will find a way to make his work justifiable... Do not take him if you want to pass! I passed but honestly I do not even know how I did..
Reviews from this place are pretty much extreme from people to the Love/Hate. Here's a fair assessment of somebody who took him in Trig. an Precalc and getting a D both times, taking him again in Calc I where I got a B, but taken after multiple failures with him b/c he's clear and pragmatic. Only thing changed was my effort, and working in book.
Most students that complain blame it on the teacher, when its the entire learning style of college compared to high school and their inability adjust to it. The math is hard, he's not perfect, but he gives you chances with home and test quizzes. Prepare hard for the midterm and final and you will have a chance to pass with at least a B!
This teacher should be teaching philosophy instead.His method is terrible,not focused,very confusing and not very helpful.If you are not good at math do not, absolutely, do not take this class.

Unless you have a strong math background, I do not recommend choosing this teacher. He is a smart guy, and he knows his material, but this is a self-taught class for the most part. If you do choose him, make sure to stay ahead of the schedule and have a strong understanding of the material covered before class.
This professor was extremely difficult. I have never had trouble in math until this class. This is the most I've ever worked for a good grade. If you're not good at math, I would advise you not to take it with Professor Abad. He did give us several chances on each Online Test/Quiz which helped a lot. Even though it was hard, I learned sooooooo much
This teacher is not good at explaining the material. We had some very poor midterm scores and he gave us some opportunities to earn extra credit. If I had not already known most of the material i would have failed.
He spent too much time talking about everything execept what we needed learn about.
Professor Abad knew what he was doing but he challenged the class a little to much. He would give two examples each class and expect you to know each skill that the example involved. All of his test and quizzes are online except for the midterm and final. I wouldn't reccomened taking this class unless you willing to put in the time to study/
I would not recommend this teacher in the slightest. He wasted time and was completely incomprehensible. He wanted the class to sympathize with the fact that he has few hours to sleep while at the same time lecturing the class about how it is his not his responsibility for us to learn. I definitely do not recommend taking his classes at all.

I LOVE MATH. But this teacher is so bad at teaching it, I failed. I have never got such a bad grade in math ever before. He is very unclear and doesn't teach at all!!! Stay away.

This professor is horrible. If you are not just naturally gifted in math do not take this professor...I've always struggled with math and managed to pull out a C with no help from him...do yourself a favor and take someone else.

Please don't take this professor unless you want to see a video of an earlier class of the day doing the same work...really he tapes other classes and then plays them for his next classes and uses that as a teaching tool...I don't know what he is getting paid for???? BAD

I concur with everything that's been said. DO NOT TAKE HIM! He's definitely the worst Math teacher I've had my entire life. I'm a math loving person and I struggled in his class. Save yourselves!
This teacher is so unusually bad, it's ridiculous. If you run into a situation in which he is the only teacher for a specific class at your current school, then apply as a transient student to different school.
The Class is hard to begin with. I currently have an A and its towards the end of the semester; therefore, it's not so bad. Practice! Pracetice! Practice! oh and Practice! Get Tutored! He is also a Tutor.
Just dont take him. he is so hard it's ridiculous. and if you ask him a question he confuses you even more.
The man was so difficult to understand. His accent is pretty Abad. He is a very nice man, but doesn't explain the lessons clearly, and when you ask a question he just confuses you even more. Homework is optional, but necessary, because his lessons are almost incomprehensible.
I started his class and wish I would have went on here before everything on here is true I have no clue what we are doing half the time. He rushes through problems and our review was a joke I was struggling with math already and he is no help! I don't understand why he is a teacher he dose not help us understand anything.
Ok so this teacher is nice but extremely difficult to understand/communicate with. He is always talking about God which may be nice for some people but not for everyone. If you have difficulty with math do not take him. I had to teach myself everything due to the fact that I got nothing from actual class time.
He never asked good questions. For example,instead of asking what kind of line is this, he would say this is an undefined what? It's like seriously, we all know it's a line.
I ignored these reviews and decided to take Precalculus with Professor aBAD... biggest mistake. It was so ridiculously difficult, for NO REASON! Please do not take this professor even if you are a math whiz. By the way I am writing this review a year later... After barely getting a C in this class, I got an A in calculus (not due to him!)
If you value your education please try another professor, eg Bush,Sisson, Groccia,or others, please, he records first class and replays for the remaining, please register early so you may get a more qualified teacher..RUN
Abad Andres is obsessed with his attendance. Students cant be one minute late. he does not explain clearly the material, he does not like to repeat himself. he can be a good person, but not a good teacher.80% of us fail the class even though 10 people withdraw on 3/19 . I would rather take a class online whether take it with this mediocre teacher

If you've always struggled a bit with math don't take him. he will take everything you have already mastered and make it confusing for you. uses weird old methods. talks about himself a lot. you can tell he doesn't enjoy his job. and don't you dare be a second late. only passed bc of the curved grade
Prof. Abad wasn't that bad (no pun intended). His homework is too easy (just use mathway, you have unlimited tries), he goes out of his way to post instructional videos on youtube, he's clear on what he wants on his test & he really knows his stuff. I'm taking College Algebra now and it's easy thanks to his class. Be warned: he will preach alot.
