The first week of class he took attendance but then stopped. He's a nice professor but you won't learn anything about accounting because his lectures make you want to take a nap. Basically read your book or study the powerpoint's. Your homework and quizes are online. He recycles your quiz question on your tests.

Let me put it this way. Stressful! We just finished our presentations last night, and it was a roller coaster of emotions. This is no a typical class, in my life I learned so much in one semester, math, english, research, to think,sarcasm, and the value of hard work. He is a great professor always available to help and guide.

He goes by some crazy military standards, so if you are on time you are late. Otherwise he is great, and I heard available.

He teaches the 8 weeks courses in accounting. I took 2301 and 2302, tough courses plus he pushes you until you break and cry. We had pre and post exam reviews on Saturdays, he put a lot of time on us. His classes are fast. This is the guy you hate and love at the same time. One thing for sure is you learn and feel proud if you pass.

This class is not easy, starts with heavy math, then moves to applications. The second half is way easier, but by that time there is no many students left. He is hard and mean during the presentations. you need to attend class and learn critical thinking. He is helpful and understanding but don't push it. I recommend Mr. Bello if you want to learn.

This is my 4th class with Mr Bello, Acc2301, acc2302,acc3328, Acc 4330, expect lots of homeworks, in class assignments, quizzes, oral exams, and exams. He keeps you busy, but he is an excellent professor. Always with time to help, push, challenge, and motivate you. I recommend him but dont expect an easy ride.

My two cents about Mr. Bello, tough as hell but you learn. He doesnt use powerpoints to teach so you better be in class, pop quizzes and assignments in class, plus a milliion homeworks and quizzes and a essay. 3 exams plus final, and oral exam. I guess more people giving rates to Dr Bello are women. To be honest the guys is rough is in edges, he has an atitude problem and he thinks he walks on water. The problem is he can have all those flaws, he served the country, came back to school and has every single degree UTPA can offer. The class may be difficult but he was very thorough with the material and worked out practice problems on the board. If you needed hw help, he'd work it in class. Lots of pop quizzes but don't stress out about them, papers sounded harder than they really were. Do the online work, take lots of notes, and you will be fine.

If you really want to master the subject, make sure you take him. He's well educated, knows the subject by heart, and actually teaches. He doesn't go over power points because he does all the work by hand on the board which is better and more interactive. If you need the class just for the credit, take someone else. Amazing professor knows material if your an accounting major and are really dedicated to learning take him not an easy A but you'll get it. Outstanding Professor. The BEST professor I've had yet at the CoBe. He pushes you to your limits. I got an A because I tried hard, studied hard and took great notes. He's what every professor should be like. He seems scary at first because he wants to filter out the lazy students. If you appreciate someone who will TEACH, take this man.

I thought I would have a nice summer with an online course. Then Bello happened. This course is borderline student abuse. Discussion Boards, Cases, Exams, Presentations, Quizzes and though grading. Another thing there is not free riding if you don't pass any exam , you don't pass the class. You need a camera a mic during the exams.

I was always told to NEVER get him for a class, but he was the only professor teaching the course during the Summer. I had him for a class that I had dropped midway through another semester and I learned so much with his lectures. He is harsh, brutal, but one of the best professor's I've ever had. I'll try to take him for Accounting 2302, as well.

I am not an accounting major but the way this class was set up online really helped. Homework and quizzes are kind of difficult if you don't read the chapter. So reading the book helps a lot, I learned that from ACCT 2301. Tests go through a lockdown browser with webcam and you are provided a formula sheet. If you study the chapters tests are easy.

Like any asynchronous class, you have to put in the work to get an A. Assignments have been through connect and consist of 3 assignments and Quiz per chapter. There are 5 exams with lockdown browser. You have to attend at least 2 SI sessions before exams. I would definitely recommend this professor, you just have to truly understand the material.

This class is difficult to begin with, but he makes it easier to understand and has everything ready from the first day of class. He is always accessible and I recommend taking him. Do not expect an A in this class if youre not going to work for it. Taking him for acct 2302 next!

Professor Bello is great! He's a funny person and at the beginning of the semester he had a WhatsApp group to communicate with us and help with assignments almost immediately. Fair warning, even if you have a passing grade in the class, if you don't pass one exam, he won't pass you. There are 4 exams and are all fairly easy as long as you study!

I m taking in Spring i dropped in Summer, class is hard, don't enroll if you think you can cheat because is online. He is helpful and has his own whatsapp gorup. The class has a lot of help like videos,, live zoom clases, and tutors. He is strict and will be after you when you miss assignments. Great guy he cares.

I am not an accounting major. This class was a requirement for my major. I am not going to lie this was the hardest class Ive ever taken. I am a 3.9 student so I work really hard to maintain straight As. I would study three days straight for the exams (on top of doing the homework and readings regularly) and I still managed to score below an A

I like professor Bello. I have taken 2301 and currently taking 2302. You have hw in Connect and 5 exams which are graded heavily. His whatsapp group was extremely helpful for communication, but unfortunately someone always has to ruin it so now we don't have it. Don't slack off AT ALL. Overall, you gotta work for it if you want to learn.

Five major exams, Connect weekly homework assignments may take between 1-3hrs to complete, but you have enough time to work on them (1week). His grading criteria are clear and firm. Professor Bello might be intimidating at first, but he cares about his students. You get what you work for. Very recommended if you actually want to learn.

I finally passed all my accountings classes. I am college graduate now. I took this class 2 times before with other teachers. I passed both accounting classes on summer with Bello. He is strict but super helpful, Always available on weekends, midnight, anyitme. He know his stuff. and how to teach.

He is a great professor overall. Clear on what he expects from you, but you will be in real trouble would you not do the things he'd expect you to do. The accounting department on its own requires the student to be in constant study, but he does a great job reminding and keeping students engaged.

Professor Bello is a great professor. He uses McGraw Connect that includes an online textbook. This online learning offers many ways to learn depending on how you learn. He gives multiple ways to earn extra credit throughout the course. Easy A if you take the time to learn the material and study at least 3 days a week. You get the grade you earn.

You will need to read a lot. I took his 2301 and 2302 and barely managed to pass the second course. He is a good professor even though he doesn't personally teach but you will learn overall. Be sure to submit your assignments on time and do good on the exams.

His exams are tough but he does try to help out with extra credit and gives mock exams to help you prepare for the exam.

Class is organized and he keeps contact with you with reminders and messages. Watch the videos everything is there, you dont even have to read the book.

Bellos is a great professor. I had him last semester and I thoroughly enjoyed his class. I would advise using the smartbook to study! His lectures are great, but he can't always cover everything so everything else you need to know is covered in the smartbook. There is a good amount of homework but it does really help.

Dr. Bello is a G. Funny guy, entertaining, just happens to go off on tangents when he's teaching. Read half of the chapter before each class and you'll have a good idea of what's going on. You can learn in lectures without reading but you'll be confused. microlectures are provided. Exams aren't hard, hard thing is making time to read the textbook.

I stand on the fact that Dr. Bello is goated. Strict and will make you use your brain like you never have. Tough grader on excel assignments. Understand and ask questions the first 2 weeks to solidify what he expects from the work. You have to ask constantly, he isn't a babysitter. Start the group project EARLY. Many might not like this professor because he is quite strict and will make you question yourself sometimes, but YOU WILL LEARN. He is incredibly bright, and he puts pressure on his students so they can do well in the class. Not easy, for sure, but definitely rewarding. Learned more with this professor than with any other in the accounting field.

Labs had step-by-step videos to guide you. Make sure to double-check submissions—he will deduct for mistakes. The capstone project is based on completed labs. Learned some Python too, which was tough but fun—very caring and passionate professor. Highly recommend!
