The instructor explains assignments well. This online course was pretty much chapter reading, weekly assignments, weekly tests and midterm/final. The course is not difficult but you do have to read quite a bit. I would definitely take another course with this instructor.

Completely online course, textbook required

I have taken 4 of Mr. Martinez's classes to obtain my A.S. in Digital Design and Production to graduate in June 2023. He has always been there for my mental health disability needs. The coursework was challenging as time went on, but he is only preparing students for the career field. If you do the work, he will give great feedback.

The truth is that I didn't know what to expect from this class because I wasn't very familiar with computers and everything around them but, with the lessons we saw each week I learned a little more about how they work and about other technologies. Mr. Martinez is a simple and to the point class. He focuses on actual learning and goes over some slides for the tests. Tests are simple and sometimes taken online. However he did not go over stealing neighbor's Wi-Fi. Everything else was really interesting material. Doesn't leave homework and if he does it is very little.

I enjoy being Mr. Martinez class for CIS he always went out of his way to strive and prosper when it came to teaching the class. I don't think I can remember a time where I thought that he was boring. He always kept the class going even when it was quite. He never runs out of things to say whether it be about the lectures, teachings, or just life in general. He got me to get out of my house because of the "Best Buy Field Trip". He cares for his students and will go out of his way.

Took this class during Winter semester so everything was pretty quick, with everything being quick, you'd expect to stress about this class but it was no where near that. Every assignment was pretty straight-forward. Do get ready to study and read for any quizzes or tests as you do need to read and study. Other than that, I would take this class.

This was my first time using Photoshop, the class was not hard but it did take me a while to understand some of the projects. I really liked the class but it was a short 5 week course but I'm glad I took it.

Great professor, I enjoyed my time while being in this course. I was already pretty familiar with photoshop, nevertheless, the professor makes the assignments clear to understand. Even though the course was 5 weeks long, if your new to photoshop then you will get a lot out of this class.

Great class and great professor. Learned a lot from this class regarding Illustrator in the 5 week long course. The professor responds to emails very quickly and gives feedback for every assignment. The assignments are fun as well.

The professor is very clear and concise in his directions for assignments. At one point I had an issue with one of the questions on a test and he was agreeable that he would adjust my grade. He didn't have to do that, but he was fair and took my justification into consideration. Being an online course he interacted by leaving comments for us.

Good Teacher, Has some work, but mostly quizzes. With quizzes we would work on some together in class which really helped with the stress of a semester! When doing solo quizzes they weren't too hard. Overall I would take the class again and recommend it if needed.

What to know about this professor is that he is pretty fun.

Mr Martinez is a good professor, I highly recommend him. His class is helpful and necessary to work with a computer is an introduction to know the types of computers and how them work. In the class, I learned how to use word, excel and power point. Also the components of the computers systems, and what is volatile and non volatile.

Very simple and understanding of all students. Class is an easy breeze if you just pay attention in class and use the study guide to review for midterms and finals.

Overall, I feel most of the class was intimidated not knowing what the course was going to bring, but as soon as we walked in and Mr. Martinez gave his warm welcome, we knew this course was going to be much more comfortable learning environment. This class has to be one of my favorites so far.

Lectures are always exciting and funny despite them being just slides that usually don't get covered in class, but getting off tracked or learning new topics that aren't exactly related make them very engaging. Very light work and quizzes are very easy. Overall, a super easy A class with a chillaxed professor that's worth your money and time.

I had a fully online course, lots of reading but very informative. You will have to read a chapter each week, answer one discussion, and a quiz on each chapter but everything is pretty straightforward. He is very accessible if you need to reach him for questions.

It is a very easy class. The Professor offers the opportunity to do your homework at the most convenient times. Homework is usually due on Sunday at 11:59 PM, except for some discussion board initial posts that are due on Thursdays. It is very convenient for students with limited time attending college.

Mr. Martinez is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to teaching his students about computers. I will definitely take another course with him, since he is strict with is content knowledge and application of the concepts learned, but he is also fare.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! Professor Martinez is really nice and fun, I was taking 15 credits and this class was an easy A because the professor isn't a meany who bombards you with too many assignments. There is one discussion and one test a week, (yes that's it!). The occasional (way too little) projects were also easy to do. Amazing professor!

The professor is beneficial when you ask for help and respond promptly. The grading is clear and straightforward forward just time-consuming but easy. So if you have to take a web design class I highly recommend this class as you don't need a textbook the site builders are pretty easy to pick as someone who had no experience with them.

I took the class in the Winter session so the load was heavy, however, the organization of the modules and the assignments were always clear. I would recommend taking this class during intersession if you are in a hurry like me. I think is manageable and I am also taking other courses at the same time. I recommend this professor to any student.

I can't say this instructor made much of an impression given how my class with him was entirely online. The nature of this teaching style prevented him from showcasing his personality at all; however, this course was very simple as each week's workload was minimal and consistent. When concerns were made known he'd address them at a fair pace.

Amazing teacher very knowledgeable for the actual subject and gives smart and useful life advice 10/10 professor.

This is one of the easiest classes I have taken but it also taught me the most out of all of them. Very fun professor and easy work was given. Mostly based on our weekly quizzes with only a few homework assignments which were quick and simple. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't want to miss anything then show up.

His a good professor i feel that we could have use more hands one and not a lot of jus reading but other then that his a very good professor which i would take again just to refresh my mind

Mr. Martinez was a really good professor. He cared about his students, very interesting lectures, and the class was always very informational. The best CIS class

The class was overall very easy. I would say you can save yourself money on the textbook as it was not used very much in class. All chapter tests are more lecture based. Overall a good teacher as he is very accessible and enjoys thoroughly discussing different topics during class. You will definitely learn about other topics aside from computers.

He's pretty calm and chill and honestly someone I would want to hang out with or ask for help when it comes to computer systems, components or device recommendations.

Mr. Martinez was a very good professor his lectures were interesting and learned a lot as someone who doesn't know anything about computers. He also response to question the same day and is very helpful.

Great at explaining the OS in computers and makes it easy to understand how everything works. Keeps you interested in the subject matter during the lectures.

The Teacher over all was good and he did clarify in detail with assignments so that was helpful. It was a lot of reading but it was easy to follow.

This teacher was Straight forward with the work given and I personally felt comfortable with the materials given.

Great teacher, not a lot of homework given but the tests are worth a decent amount. Discussions every week but easy to answer and only about three projects. Very smooth class to pass if you turn all your work in on time!

I was nervous about taking this class because I had never taken a computer class before, but the assignments were fairly simple as long as you read through the instructions carefully. The Professor graded and replied on Canvas when I did a good job on the work. Every little positive comment helped throughout the course.

This professor makes class easy to pass. I had him for 2 classes (Photoshop and Digital video production) now and I had good grades in both of them. He makes assignments easy to understand by the textbook and easy to understand what he wants by his tutorial videos. Please take him for the class if you want to do well!

To say that he is a good professor is an understatement, his class is very easy to follow. He is also quick with grading and gives good feedback, the class doesn't feel dull and you get to learn a lot about the subject. Would 100% take his class again if I could.

I really liked my professor Andres Martinez we didn't have classes to see each other but still was understandable when having problem with work and gave clear instructions.

This was my first time taking a class with Mr. Martinez. His instruction was clear, and he provided all the modules with easy-to-read PowerPoints. If you go through the PowerPoints and follow his instructions, the class is very manageable.
