Dr. Arnold is very kind but the way he teaches takes time to get used to. If you read what he gives you (which gets annoying) and write the papers he assigns, then you will walk out with an A and you will certainly learn the material. When you do the writings even though it can be hard, you will actually understand the information.

I took Arnold for 2 semesters and grew to love him. He assigns 12 page readings, then you have to write essays on what you read. It gets a little overwhelming sometimes but as long as you do the essays you will pass. He is more than willing to help you and allows retests. Will call you out in class so be ready!

He gets too off topic to listen to, so I have close to no notes. He wastes so much time on stories that are so far from relevant to the Constitution. It would be different if he had powerpoints but he doesn't. So you have to listen to what comes out of his mouth when more than half doesn't even matter.

Dr. Arnold is the most eccentric professor I've ever had, but in a good way. He likes to really focus on things from a philosophical perspective and consider the impact of people that wouldn't traditionally be focused on. His grading system is weird and makes it tough to get an A, but it motivated me to work harder.

There is not enough space to write everything about this course and instructor. I took it individualized because it conflicted with my other class. I absolutely loved this professor. He makes jokes in class to keep things moving. Attendance is not mandatory but honestly go to class and you will be just fine. He gave a reading and a short response for homework every night but those answers combine to make your essay and exam every unit. I plan on taking at least 2 more classes with him! 10/10

Dr. Arnold is a absolute genius when it comes to history. He really makes it easy for students to connect to the readings and lectures. He gives out readings then makes you complete usually a two page paper for homework but it isn't terrible. If you show up, pay attention, and do the work you are guaranteed a good grade and you will learn a lot.

For his CMP class, you receive a point for each unit (out of 7) if he feels you "completed the work to your best ability" and has no real due dates. It is an easy A but I don't feel like I learned anything this semester. I will say that he is extremely caring and wants everyone to succeed in his class.

The single most kind and understanding professor I've ever had. Once, he made a mix up of the exam and accidently regraded a previous one with the newer ones questions. Instead of being mad at us, he was so worried about teaching us wrong. Gave out mints everyday and also never wore shoes?? for some reason?? But whatever, still the best prof ever.
