He is a really good professor and is enthusiastic about the material you learn. 4 tests and a comprehensive final. Lab is worth 30% of your grade. The lab quizzes are mainly over diagrams so make sure you study for lab or you can easily fail. Loved his class and him!

Great teacher! You can tell he enjoys teaching and draws your attention easily with humor. He makes sure you understand everything and gives examples often. The book is not really needed, he provides powerpoints to print so you're not trying to take lengthy notes during lecture. Highly recommended!

I took him for Bio and Bio lab he is so sweet and I really liked being in his class. Im really bad at Bio but he made it better. You really need to study for the tests but they are very straight forward, no trick questions.There is an extra credit option at the end of the semester that helped my grade a lot! I say to take him he is cute too!

I loved loved loved this teacher! He is very passionate about biology and has humor. Not to mention good looking :) I recieved a D in this class but it wasn't because of him. I didn't try as hard as I should have. If you want someone who is very helpful and understanding, this guy is the way to go!

By far the nicest professor I have had. Teaches from powerpoint notes available online, no textbook needed. Tests are not too difficult as long as you study from the notes given. Very willing to slow down and explain things,very patient. Best teacher to take for Bio!!

This is one of my favorite teachers, for multiple reasons. He's a huge dork for biology but in an awesome way. Not an easy course per say, but if you download his power points to bring to class and make notation and put effort in, you can't do bad. This guy is top class as far as professors go, oh by the way birds are reptiles.

His class is easy if you pay attention and put in the time. He's not going to give you the grade but he will give you everything necessary for an A.

Awesome teacher! No book needed just print the notes and bring to class and take good notes on them. Memorize the notes before a test that's how easy it is! He is really helpful and gives extra credit in the middle of the semester that is easy. It is easy to get an A in the class as long as you study. I also took him for nutrition and he was great!

LOVE HIM! Previously taken bio &dropped with different professor. Took it with him &got an A. Makes bio as interesting as it can be. 4 exams straight out of the notes. You can't go wrong with him. Plus he's nice to look at and funny. I'm taking him again for bio 2 in the summer. TAKE HIM!

Awesome instructor. Fun and down to earth. I mean you still have to study. He doesn't give grades; but if you need biology, he is the one to take. Everything is in his lectures and power points (which he posts on blackboard). NO TEXTBOOK NEEDED!

He is a great teacher! Go to class and listen because everything he says is on the test. No book needed. He is funny too, and is passionate about Biology.

Berezin has been my favorite professor at Wharton. He goes above and beyond in his lectures and gives you every opportunity to pass in his class. Because Bio is one of the harder classes YOU HAVE TO STUDY sometimes 3 or more hours for a test. His test questions come straight from the notes and he even gives bonus questions for extra credit.

Lecture - He's an amazing lecturer. His tests are just the powerpoints. A good tip would be to print out the powerpoint and annotate them as he goes through the lecture. He keeps it interesting. No textbook at all. Lab - The labs are easy to understand and fun. Lab book is required. Weekly quizzes are super easy, and he drops the 3 lowest ones.

SUPER handsome! Very funny and a great teacher. A book isnt necessary. STUDY his power points. and dont wait till last minute!!! Atleast start studying a week and a half ahead of time otherwise you wont do as good. He is the best professor to take!

His tests are pretty straight forward with no review, but he does have all of the slideshows on blackboard. Very funny, and extremely smart. Took him at 8am and did not fall asleep once.

Mr. Berezin has great and interesting lectures. He is really enthusiastic about teaching and will clearly explain the subject. He gives 4 tests straight from the notes. He posts power points online to print. For lab, he gives 9 weekly quizzes and drops the lowest 3. Bio isn't an easy subject, so you have to keep up with the studying ahead of time.

Took this class as a winter mini & Mr. Berezin made it as painless as possible. We have 5 homeworks that were extremely easy & to the point, 3 exams, & a final. Although it was crammed into only 3 weeks, the class was fairly simple. I really enjoyed Mr. Berezin as a professor and he is extremely cool when you get to know him. Would take again!

Textbook is not needed. Use his power points and study those for the exams! He gives 4-5 extra credit points for each exam. You must study to pass this class. He loves teaching this subject, that is what makes the class easier. I waited too long into the semester to realize what I needed to do to pass his class with an A. Great professor.

Great professor! I had him for biology. Lab quizzes were easy and the lab final was based off quizzes. Lecture was okay. Lecture final was fair game. Pay attention, ask questions and pass.

He is an amazing teacher! I almost failed biology in high school and had doubts for my first year of college but he made it very obtainable and interesting. He adds some humor and open questions in his lectures to keep you engaged. Study his slideshows for the test and you should be well off.

He's hot but like the way he teaches and talks, not like looks in all honesty. He can teach, he's a good teacher and won't fail you in any way. He tells funny jokes that relate to biology which is quite amusing and does help to remember some lessons. He's a nice guy but don't abuse him by cheating or talking back.

I took Mr. Berezin for the winter mini-mester. Classes were long but he kept it interesting and he knows his stuff. He did not require a textbook, if you take notes from his powerpoints and pay attention in class, that should be suffice. I would definitely take him again.

Professor Berezin was by far the best professor I've taken at WCJC! He made my 8am a little less dreadful to attend. He is very organized with his classes, and makes sure his students understand the material before he moves on to the next subject. Tests are easy, and he gives around 4-5 quizes. No need to buy a textbook for this class.

I just took him for Nutrition! He's a talented lecturer. His lectures are thorough, interesting, and easy to comprehend! There are a few easy quizzes and around 4 tests. No need for the textbook just memorize the powerpoints. I took him for bio 1, bio 2, and nutrition (ended each with an A) and my biggest advice is to attend all lectures!!!

A great teacher! He is very straightforward and will tell you what you need to know for exams and quizzes. You don't need a textbook, but you will need to come to class everyday. His lectures are interesting and his tests aren't hard, but a lot of them require critical thinking, so make sure you know the material inside & out.

He was a really great teacher made biology interesting and easy! the tests were easy and from the powerpoints so you don't need a textbook. He's a really nice guy and is willing to help his students and before the test if you have any questions he'll be more than happy to clear things up. He's also funny!

The class itself is really just 5 tests plus the final and your lab grade. The lectures are posted online and if you do flash cards over them you will ace every test its not hard at all. The only thing is- it is A LOT of material. Dont bother getting the textbook, study and attend most lectures because he gives extra info and is a good lecturer!

I learned so much from Professor Berezin. He made nutrition a fun and exciting class. His quizzes are from the lecture. Definitely will recommend

Great professor. I took him during summer 1 and summer 2 for biology. It was a ton of information in a short amount of time but he makes lectures interesting. He tells stories that relate to the lectures and it helps retain the information. He has a good sense of humor as well! Show up to class on time or he will pick on you!

Great teacher. He is super specific with his quizzes, and has amazing lectures! He goes over the main points you need for the quizzes/exams. He will call you out if you don't attend class! His powerpoint outlines are all online, so they're available at all times. Overall, he's a great teacher!!

Good professor. But, do not be late to his class if you hate being called out. He has a dry humor, which makes things hilarious. If your confused, just go to his office hours. He'll only help if you ask for it, just like all other professors.

He's a good professor and the class isn't too hard if you're into science. But practicals for his labs are HARD. But yall can do it.

TAKE HIM FOR NUTRITION!!!!!! He gives the 4-5 quizzes back to back in the beginning. Being in class has an advantage because he discusses what will be on each quiz and test. Very funny professor and is willing to help!

I really enjoyed his class. He is always available for questions and feedback during office hours. He does cover the material quickly in class, but this is only because there is a lot of material to know. I recorded the lectures on my laptop so that I could listen to them outside of class. Great professor. I really learned a lot.

I cant express how knowledgeable and passionate Mr. Berezin is about biology. He knows his stuff really well and uses real like examples that help u understand material and also recall it on tests. His lectures have all the information you need to ace his tests, LISTEN CLOSELY. Test questions are tricky. & no textbook needed, hes a walking textbook

Take him for nutrition, he has great lectures and tells you what you need to know for tests and quizzes. There are 5 quizzes, 3 tests and a final. Quizzes are super easy and for tests just pay attention in class and know what's on the power points. No textbook or homework!

If you're the type of person who does well on exams and studies hard, you'll do fine in his class. His exams aren't particularly hard in my opinion. There's almost nothing on the exams that aren't taken from his lectures and PowerPoints. Just know the material REALLY well, study the PowerPoints for at least 8 hours, and you'll do fine.

Taking him for both Lecture and Lab online. He gives good recorded lectures that keeps you focus, power points, and practice questions. Weekly labs and quizzes are easy and come straight from the power points. Tests are based on his materials. If you take his lab, you need textbook code only to do the lab activities.

really nice teacher but the class is hard. his lab quizzes and tests are really difficult. you will need to study a lot for them to get a good grade. 4 tests & 12 lab quizzes. 2 lab test as well. maybe because i am taking it online during covid

This was my first year taking Professor Berezin, he is a really good professor. I took him for both bio lab and bio lecture. His class is easy and straightforward. However, his lecture exams can be hard sometimes. Especially when he gave us a final exam review of 40 questions, and none of those questions were on the final. Overall he is amazing.

I took this class as a winter mini and was working full time but this class was very easy to manage. Prof is great and is very helpful. Definitely would take him again for any other class he teaches.

Dont get why he has negative ratings. He is pretty chill professor, I took him for lab and his lab practicals are all straight forward. All you gotta do is study and use the resources he provides and the lab manuals as a secondary source and you will pass with an A. He is also approachable and will answer any question you have and explain it well.

I had Berezin for 1406 lab. His lectures are fun and informative. One homework assignment per week. Two lab practicals. You just need to watch out and study hard for the lab practicals, other than that this class should be a breeze.

Mr.B is a great teacher and just person in general. I took him for Bio 2 and lab and I enjoyed both. For lab just study the lab summaries he posts and you'll get an A on every quiz. Practical be prepared. His lecture is based on slides and easy to follow. He cares about students and will help you. His test is based on understanding not memorizing.

Only took him for lab. I love how he did not use all lab time. He just gets straight to the point and reviews match the practicals. Very easy!

One of the best professors I've ever had, he has a real understanding of the material and makes it super simple and easy to understand. If you have a question he knows the answer, he gives great analogies and its easy to learn if you put in the effort. His tests are not easy this class was hard to get a B in, but 25% of your grade is from the lab.

Amazing! Likes to make jokes and makes lectures interesting. Lab is the only textbook you have to buy. must go to class to retain all the info but he posts all notes and summaries online. Lab quizzes every week, but 3 get dropped. Tests/final are straightforward from notes and he does review time in class.

Lectures are a lot and you have to spend hours studying for tests and quizzes, but he is very understanding and he also provides a lot of analogies and examples to help students better understand the material. He always answers emails and questions and a great professor overall.

I took a winter mini-course and found the lecturer's videos and slides to be extremely helpful. After watching the videos, I would refer back to the textbook and slides to take notes. The tests were easy. The lecturer was very responsive to my questions and provided prompt answers.

Good teacher, explains concepts pretty well and gives out easy tests. Make sure to memorize absolutely everything on the PowerPoints as the tests are based on them. Do not be late to class, or he will call you out in front of the entire class and possibly become hostile towards you. If you show up on time, study well, this class is an easy A.

Prof. Berezin's class is challenging, but manageable with dedication. Memorizing the PowerPoint slides is key, and Unstuckstudy can be a helpful study tool alongside traditional resources. Attend class, and you'll do well.

I took him back in 2011, and I still remember him as my favorite professor throughout my degree.
