Bro Burger is a stud! He is a very personable Teacher and always willing to help you out. He likes participation In class and does activities to keep you going. He does use a TON of slides however. So hopefully you can deal with that. Would recommend! Great teacher overall!!

I love Brother Burger. AMAZING. He explains things so well and has ultimately made me interested in sociology. His quizzes are a challenge IF YOU DON'T READ. But if you read and do your work it will be worth it! Seriously take this class he is hilarious and just a very intelligent man. You won't regret his taking this course.

Bro. Burger was such a good teacher! He was very excited and knew what he was talking about. As long as you do the readings you will do fine in the class because each week everything is based on the readings you did. You do have to write a short 2 page paper each week but it wasn't bad at all. I would definitely recommend him!!

Good guy, funny and nice, It is a lot of work for only 3 credits. Organized, but very boring readings and assignments. Seems like busy work.

Brother Burger is a GREAT professor! I have absolutely loved taking his class this semester! If you are trying to decide between professors for Sociology definitely take his class! Yes, you will have to read each week and write a 2 page paper, but he doesn't grade them hard. As long as you put forth an effort you will enjoy this class!

Hands down the best online instructor I have ever had. He is good at what he does. Always willing to help. Really wants you to understand the material and succeed. Really like him! And he looks good with a mustache.

Brother Burger has been my favorite teacher so far at BYU-Idaho. You can tell he really loves what he is teaching and gets to know his students well. I would love to take a class from him again in the future as he is very clear on what he expects and you know what is required of you before each class period. He is a great teacher.

Quizez everyday but fairly easy if you read.

Brother Burger is so kind and you can tell he cares about his students. He answers questions and is willing to discuss with us. There's a quiz before every class but they are easy if you do the reading. There are a few papers to write here and there but they are 1-2 pages and easy if you go to class.

Most of your grade is projects that are fairly simple honestly. Every class he has a quiz over the assigned reading. The quizzes are only 20 percent of the final grade and are pretty easy as well. He is a good lecturer and cares about his student. I am not a huge sociology fan but he made it fun and I enjoyed his class. I would recommend him!

Brother Burger is a great teacher. He doesn't consider himself high and mighty, which is rare. He talks to, and treats his students like adults. I took Soc111 just as an elective and didn't regret my choice. Show up to class, do the reading, and he'll do the rest.

No tests, daily quizzes but they are very simple if you've done the preparation reading. There are a few short papers but they are simple. This was a very interesting class and will open your eyes about societal factors both in America and around the world. You will even play monopoly two of the days:)

Brother Burger loves what he does; class is straightforward and very well thought out. With a few tweaks, things like Stratified Monopoly should never go away. He can lean a little on the liberal political thought sometimes, but it's mild, and that shouldn't really stop anyone from taking him. Also, his kids are adorable, give this man 2 peppers.

He does not have any exams and does do a quiz before each class on the reading, but he said that he may not even do them anymore. He was super kind and very interesting!

Brother Burger combines expertise and professionalism with caring and understanding in a balance that seems effortless and unexpected for such a young teacher. Brother Burger is awesome. It was his first time teaching a religion class, but he was great. He didn't assign a lot of homework and is an easy grader. You have to show up to pass, he takes attendance daily. If he taught other courses that I needed, I would take them!

Before every class you do about 30 minutes of reading and then take a five question quiz about the reading. He has great interesting lectures and he is so so kind. He really wants to hear what students have to say.

Brother Burger is an AMAZING sociology teacher. This class was so funny! He uses memes and funny videos to explain sociological points and he really makes the class entertaining. The textbook is FREE. He gives you a PDF! He genuinely cares about his students, even if he doesn't get to know all of them. There is a lot of textbook reading, though.

Brother Burger truly cares about what he teaches and it shows! His lectures are super informational and interesting! Probably the best class I've ever taken. There are no exams, but there are daily readings & quizzes, and there are projects that show your understanding of the projects. Pay attention and you'll do fine.

Brother Burger is absolutely hilarious. Sociology does not interest me, but he made the class worth coming to. Attendance is recorded, and there are some prep quizzes to do before each class. As long as you show up and read the required material, and A should not be hard to obtain.

He was my favorite professor last semester. He gives really great perspectives on things, and I can tell he does his best to remain unbiased about the topics. He doesn't do daily quizzes anymore, but does do a lot of graded reading. His class is pretty easy and engaging, and as long as you do the reading and pay attention, you should do well.

Definitely a ton of graded readings in this class, but they aren't too bad. Exams are open-note and non-comprehensive which is awesome, also he accepts late work. He makes every assignment very doable and with very clear instructions. He does have Perusall assignments every other day, but those are easy. He also has weekly sociology applied assignments which are usually just a reading with questions or a baby essay. All of his lectures are enjoyable and well put together. He is truly a wonderful teacher.

I really enjoyed Brother Burger's class. I learned something new every time I went. He was very understanding that many of us were taking the class just for elective credits so he made the class enjoyable and informative. He cares about his students and the content in the class. He's a really great professor who anyone would enjoy.

Nice guy, easy class. You have some reading you've got to do but it's really interesting. He is so, so passionate about sociology. He gets kind of sad when people don't pay attention, but this class was half on zoom which is why he felt like that. Also, it's pretty easy. He does a lot of interactive things which is fun. great intro class.

LOVED BROTHER BURGER! Such a fun guy who makes sociology fun and relatable. I really liked learning from him. There were a lot of perusall readings which i dint love but i think that his class was amazing overall and not super hard at all, just make sure you come and take notes.

He is such a dope guy. So nice and funny and hes actually really smart. Ive talked to him after class and hes more than willing to have an actual conversation about sociology if you care about it. He gets the class involved and people chip in and share thoughts all the time. I didnt attend in person too often but I wish I did.

I highly recommend this class with Brother Burger. He is the sweetest soul. He accepts late work for full credit up to 2 days after the due date. The tests are open note so as long as you complete your assignments and go to class you'll get an A. Highly recommend if you're looking for an easy 3 credit elective.

His material is meaningful and it does not feel like work. He makes sure to know names and listen to everyone's thoughts. Definitely take this class, no regrets.

He is very willing to work with you and his class is very accessible when you can't make it. He goes over everything on the test they were very easy.

Open book/open note tests, has a 48 hours grace period on all assignments with no deduction of points, has super interesting lectures and cares about each individual. Very passionate about the subject & and a happy guy!

This was one of the best classes that I have EVER taken. Brother Burger it really awesome he makes things interesting and very engaging. The quizzes are open book and they grade heavy. BUT very easy if you take time to search for the answers. Homework is a couple days a week but easy. 100% recommend taking Brother burger he makes class intriguing.

I really enjoyed this class. His lectures were always entertaining, and the reading assignments were always fair. Reading was through perusal, but he set it up so you can actively see your grade as your do the reading. Awesome class and an awesome professor!

His is an incredible teacher. The way he talks about all of our different subjects made me contemplate switching majors. The class itself is pretty easy going, he just wants us to be engaged and interested. There are readings that are pretty easy, and very few assignments. His door is always open and he wants to connect with us.

Going into SOC400 I was really worried because I heard it would be difficult and it was, but I learned a ton and wish there was a SOC400 pt.2.

Brother Burger is the most amazing professor I have ever had! The class was very easy. We had a short Perusall reading before every class period and a lecture relating to it. We had a total of 3 tests and a couple of in-class assignments. Brother Burger cares deeply for each of his students and I would 100% take any class he offers!!

Brother Burger is an amazing professor! He cares about his students a lot and makes his lectures fun. There is quite a bit of Perusall reading. Attendance is graded by taking a TopHat quiz with a code. Attendance does add up, so you should be going to class. I would definitely take him again.

Brother Burger is one of the best professors on campus. He is engaging and knows the content of what he is teaching. His tests are in the testing center as opposed to Proctorio, but I recommend him anyway despite that. I learned a lot from the class and am taking other sociology classes from him specifically because of how great he is.

Brother Burger was FANTASTIC!! I took his SOC 111 class + he did a great job at applying what we learned into our lives (all classmates were not sociology majors). Burger is hilarious, caring, and really passionate! In class, you typically have a lecture/discussion and homework is quick, easy, and sometimes even interesting Perusall readings. He gives you a study guide for every test, there are multiple extra credit options, and 3-4 "projects" that aren't very hard at all. Such a fun and interesting class!

Brother Burger is VERY caring and funny. Like he's just super caring about us and his laugh is awesome. You'll know what I mean. The readings are very manageable. 3 pages at times. He does use perusal, but the readings are interesting and short, so it's fine. He also just teaches you so much about people and relates it to the gospel so well!

I LOVE Bro Burger, one of the greatest professors at this school! He knows what he is talking about, cares for his students, his lectures are engaging, and his assignments are always interesting and applicable to your learning. The class is textbook heavy - as all psych and soc classes are but his lectures really help you understand the content.

This is the second class (SOC 111 and SOCIO 362 Socio of Mental Health) that I've taken with Brother Burger and he is by far one of my favorite professors ever. He's SO real and kind and will work with you. He clearly loves what he teaches. His uses perusall and does group projects depending on the class. He's mindful with how he grades. Love him!
